(January, 24th, 2019)
Both Carl and Cindi look at each other while the others are asleep. Cindi looks a little more unsure about the plan but Carl offers her a hand.
CARL: Come on. We have to do this. We will be back in a day or two. I assure you.
CINDI: It just feels wrong.
CARL: We barely know these people. We need to start thinking about us two, not these others who we just met
CINDI: I'll come but i dont think its right that we are doing this. Especially behind their backs
Cindi grabs Carl's hand as he pulls her up. She turns around as she is up grabbing her bag and then taking the knife out of it. Carl does the same as they look over the rest of the group trying to be as quite as possible. Carl doesnt realise that Lynn is awake and can hear the duo's conversation. Lynn goes to stop herself but knows that it could start drama if she turns around.
CARL: Now let's go. Before they start to wake up.
Carl walks over to the barricade tampering with it a little until there is a small opening, big enough for the two of them to fit through. Carl goes shimming through the gap before Cindi does the same. Carl looks at Cindi who is just closing the barricade backup.
CARL: UGH. Cindi just leave it! They are fine. This place hasn't got zombies in it. Just come on.
Carl starts to get angry at Cindi who finishes closing up the hatch before turning to him.
CINDI: I'm making sure we have a group to come back to. So please, just calm down. For me.
Carl sighs walking up to Cindi kissing her on the cheek. Cindi embraces him taking him into a hug. The two of them look at each other walking away from the barricade and into the school hallways.

Rover parks up to the side of the mansion that his group are living him smiling at Heather. Heather smiles back unloading herself from the vehicle. Rover gets out also, walking to the back of the car lifting the boot and grabbing the backpack that has the supplies he had from a loot run that he did.
HEATHER: He's definitely here right? My David.
Rover nods opening the gate to the mansion ground walking back to the car driving it through.
HEATHER: I'll close it for you.
Heather closes the gate following the car nearer to the actual mansion. Heather is taken back by the scale of the mansion making her stop for a second, taking it all in.
HEATHER: Who's is this place then?
ROVER: We don't actually know. We are squatting in here. When we found it, it was empty, well except a few zombies but nothing devastating. Thats like every place though nowadays.
Rover cuts his sentence off as he goes to open the doors. Heather looks at Rover who is about to go in, walking briskly to him. Heather is kind of excited to see her husband again and meet 'her new group'. Rover opens the door letting himself in then Heather. Rover walks to the group who are just about to eat.
ROVER: Hi guys.
The group look at Rover then at Heather, many of them looking her up and down. One of them, Corey walks upto her smiling.
COREY: Hi, I'm Corey.
Corey offers a hand to Heather which she reluctantly shakes as she is still unnerved by the new surroundings. Heather looks around as her eyes and David's catch. Heather starts to tear up not seeing her husband for over a month.
HEATHER: I've missed you.
Heather runs past Corey and into her husband's arms which get thrown around her. David embraces Heather for what seems to be an eternity as the two of them look deep into each others eyes.
DAVID: I've missed you too.
The group finds this very sweet with many of them just watching the reunion happen. David and Heather ignore the audience.

Laura is on the porch of a cabin that they are staying in, rocking on a chair that she found inside. Every so often she watches upon the girls that sleep inside the cabin, making sure they are safe. Laura knows that its going to be hard for them since they are not in a secure place but she knows that the 5 of them together will be strong with each other and hopefully the past doesn't come back to haunt her
--CUT TO--
(January, 10th, 2019)
Laura looks around seeing that the fire is surrounding her. She looks around trying to find a way out as she hears the screams of her fellow survivors around her. Laura runs past the flames holding her arm in front of her nose and mouth as she gets through it. Knowing to be safer, Laura drops to the ground starting to crawl from the flames. Looking up for a second she sees a hand reach for her realising it Penelope.
PENELOPE: Grab a hold of my hand!
Penelope's voice acts like a bell in Laura's ears, which are already burning from the heat. Laura grabs a hold of Penelope's hand as she drags her from the flames through a doorway and into the next room which seems less smokier than the other.
PENELOPE: We need to go NOW. Alot of have died. There's only 5 of us left, but we need to hurry.
Laura scraps herself off following Penelope who has run off towards another door which Laura can briefly see that it says "Fire exit". Laura's vision is quite blurry but she holds onto the door pushing herself into the room. Laura looks around to her group who are standing there.
LAURA: Is this all of us?
Nevra nods, deeply sighing knowing that they could have done more to help. Donna helps Laura up walking her further away from the building that's on fire, trying to get them safe enough so that they don't get ambushed by any zombies

---PRESENT DAY---
Laura eats her food slowly, as she thinks about her memory about what happened with the fire. Obviously disturbed by it, the others see it in her, with Penelope with an arm around her.
NEVRA: The fire isn't it?
Laura starts to tear up nodding slowly, rising her head up to the group who have all stopped eating.
DONNA: We need to think, at least we are alive and those who did pass away, they don't have to live in this cruel world. A one full of those things.
LAURA: It shouldn't have happened. None of this should have. We should be at home, and living our normal lives not trying to survive every day.
Laura finishes the rest of her food allowing the rest to also. Laura plants her bowl on the side grabbing the others food as they have all finished.
LAURA: I propose we leave. Donna do you know where she is? Your sister.
DONNA: I dont know. But there's an estate, in the woods north from here, we could go there. I heard when escaping there was a group there we could be with. It's worth a try.
LAURA: I agree. Let's leave before nightfall. But the next couple of travelling days will be tough. We are going soon get ready.
The group of them start packing up with Nevra and Donna who escape off to the bedroom to grab the very little supplies that they have. Laura, Penelope and Lilia stay in the main room of the cabin

Heather settles on the bed slumping on the first thing of comfort that she's had since the start of the epidemic. She embraces the warmth of the bed just lying there. She doesn't notice Quinn walk in standing infront of Heather's bed.
QUINN: So, you liking the luxuries of this place then?
Heather nods slowly not wanting to lift herself to a sitting position. Quinn smiles at her sitting at the end of the bed.
HEATHER: So what's your story?
QUINN: Hah, my story. I haven't done much of the outbreak yet. I have been here since the start of it really.
HEATHER: Wait, you have never been out there yet.
QUINN: No.
Heather chuckles to herself putting herself into a sitting position allowing Quinn to sit below her which she does.
HEATHER: Lets just say you get a lot of adrenaline from it. Killing the zombies and everything. I'll take you out one time if you would like. Its fun, i swear to god.
QUINN: If you say so. But really I'm more of a medic than a fighter.
Heather rolls her eyes sliding over to Quinn.
HEATHER: Nowadays, everyone is a fighter. Not only that a survivor. But enough from that, what is the others like. Like the quiet girl.
QUINN: Who Clarissa or Johannah.
HEATHER: I dont know, the one who literally turned the other way when i walked in?
QUINN: Ohh, Joannah, ignore her, she aint feeling much at the moment since she lost her sister.
HEATHER: Dead?
QUINN: No, she couldnt find her when she got off from her flight attendant job, so she came here. We all came here at different times really, i was the second ones here. Corey, Clarissa and Poppy was first.
Heather stands up nodding along to Quinn speaking, emptying the remaining stuff she has in her bag.
HEATHER: Ohh ok, wait Poppy? Whos that?
QUINN: She bed bound, aint gonna be alive much longer in my opinion. Corey insists on keeping her alive, waiting to try find her medication to get her well.
HEATHER: Poor thing.
Heather stops for a second putting her hand on her heart knowing that she couldn't imagine her grandparents living through that and having to watch it.

(January, 25th, 2019)
A voice echoes from a dark alleyway. No one seems to be there but slight sounds start to come from it.
MAN: Come on, Tana. We dont have all day. They could be coming any time.
TANA: Oh shut up Chase. Stop being so uptight. We left them back at the gas station.
The two of them come into the light using the street lights to see.The man is quite annoyed at the girl as he twirls his bloodied knife round his finger.
CHASE: We could have got killed because of you.
TANA: Oh shut up. Go jump in a zombie pit why dont you? I always have to pick up for your mess and then you blame it on me.
CHASE: Tana stop being a bitch and lets go. I'm sick of arguing. Lets just find a group and stick with them.
Tana rolls her eyes as she stomps away going in front of Chase whose temperament is getting worse and worse

Greg, Alvaro, Keisha and Lynn all sit in a circle not knowing what to do since Carl and Cindi left. Lynn doesnt tell the rest of them that she knew about them as they would start to kick off with her.
KEISHA: Well it's rather them than us, i would rather be here than getting supplies.
GREG: But we told them not to. Carl is just a dickhead, and honestly Cindi is even worse, leaving with him. She just a follower.
Greg goes into a sulk knowing that his words are have started to fall on deaf ears.
ALVARO: Guys we can't lose our morale, they will be back in a couple of days and if they arent. We know what we have to do.
GREG: Wait you mean like leave this place?
ALVARO: Well yes. We need to start making the right decisions to keep ourselves alive and i think leaving this place will be good so that we can find a new place.
Keisha nods slowly as Greg tries to get his head around the idea while Lynn just agrees with everything that Greg and Alvaro says.
GREG: Lynn you're not ok with this are you?
LYNN: I am, I'm just weary of it thats all. Getting killed, going face to face with the walkers.
GREG: Your going to be fine we are all going to be fine. You just need to trust us all. We have each others backs.
Lynn looks down unsure about going into the outside world but the rest of the group comfort her knowing that everything will be ok.
