Ep5 mid-season finale
====SCENE 1====
Zya is standing next to Vespar’s bed as he still lies unconscious. As Zya stands there waiting for him to wake up, Ashlyn walks in the infirmary and looks over at Vespar
ZYA: Oh hey, Ash
ASHLYN: Oh hey, how is he?
ZYA: No change at the moment but he’s stable for what I have heard. So, it’s just a waiting game
ASHLYN: Oh okay. Good. Why don’t you go, have some sleep?
ZYA: No, I want to stay here
Ashlyn looks over at Zya then back at the bed.
ASHLYN: Are you sure? You look really tired and you have been…
ZYA: No, I want to stay.
ASHLYN(Scoffs): Ok.
Zya look down and starts to stroke Vespar’s face. As she does she looks back at Ashlyn and gives her a forgiving look.
ASHLYN: He’s going to be okay. I know he will. He is strong, and he won’t go like this, he won’t go at all.
Ashlyn pulls Zya into a hug. She has no choice but to accept it. As they pull each other into the hug, huge alarms go off. They both turn towards Vespar and realise its not him but Lucia. When they both turn to each other they back away as Skylar, Lincoln and Willis rush in.
SKYLAR: What’s happened?
Skylar looks at the girls in concern.
ZYA: We don’t know. She just started crashing
ASHLYN: What do you mean? Crashing
ZYA: Basically, I think her heart has stopped.
Skylar, Willis and Lincoln start to mess around with the machines around Lucia.
LINCOLN: I am starting CPR. Is that okay?
WILLIS: Go ahead. You’re the best at medical stuff. I am only a chemist and you’re a lead practionerer.
LINCOLN: Okay
Lincoln goes ahead and starts to do CPR. Willis and Skylar stand back and starts fiddling with the machines. Seconds later Willis brings out a mini x ray machine. He then turns it on.
LINCOLN: Okay we need to look for any fluid.
WILLIS: That’s what I was thinking
The three scan the whole body of Lucia and they find fluid on the brain.
SKYLAR: Oh shit.
LINCOLN: I am sorry guys there is nothing we can do
Zya and Ashlyn walk back in and hear the words of Lincoln
ZYA: What do you mean?
LINCOLN: We can’t drain the fluid. We need to let her go
ASHLYN: Oh
Ashlyn and Zya Pull each other in for another hug
ASHLYN: If you have to. Do it
ZYA: I agree
LINCOLN: Okay if you’re sure.
ASHLYN: We are sure
Lincoln grabs on the plug of her life support and yank it out. When the life support is turned off they all bow to her body. Then look at each other
WILLIS: Come on. She won’t want us to mope around her
ASHLYN: I agree. You now need to help Vespar.
As soon as Ashlyn said ‘VESPAR’. He starts to come around from his unconsciousness.
VESPAR: Ugh.ugh What? Lucia! Where is she?
Vespar grabs his hands on the metal bollards and pulls his body up to see Lucia’s lifeless body
VESPAR: What’s happened?
Vespar starts to shake as he does he starts to stutter
VESPAR: Luc…wha…w.w. why?
ZYA: I am sorry
SKYLAR: She had fluid on the brain. She was dying

====SCENE 2====
Greg, Ashely, Tyrone and Rebecca are all sitting on the worn-out couches thinking about what Greg and Tyrone done by killing the sisters.
TYRONE: I am not feeling sorry. But they were going to get us killed.
Greg looks down as Tyrone says the statement
GREG: Well I do. I liked them. But it’s all about you. You. You
TYRONE: No, it isn’t
ASHELY: Yes, it is. We don’t care about your shit anymore. Its time for you to go.
TYRONE: How dare you?
GREG: She is right. All of the time
TYRONE: Well it’s my opinion accept it.
GREG: Okay but you live with Ashely’s rules. Its strictly her house. So, let her make the rules. ASHELY!
Ashely looks at Greg then at Tyrone and then at Rebecca who is messing around with something.
ASHELY: Hey Rebecca. What are you doing?
REBECCA: Oh nothing
Rebecca goes back doing her thing with the pipes. When she turns back around Ashely goes back to the other two.
ASHELY: So firstly, we need to get rid of those Zombies
Ashely points to the zombies who are trying to break down the door. As she points Greg and Tyrone grab their knives.
GREG: Okay let’s start getting to work
The six zombies finally break the door down with the sister’s zombies entering first.
Tyrone is the first to kill a zombie with seems to be a teenager. After killing it he lunges to another and slashes its neck, but he is caught off guard and a zombie grabs his leg
TYRONE: Move zombie
He kicks at the zombies head several times until it gets off him. Meanwhile, Rebecca grabs her bag which has lots of supplies: food water and a long machete. She then slips through the door and walks west into a nearby forest.
==== CUT TO====
Two zombie bodies lie on the floor as another zombie is stabbed in the head by Ashely.
ASHELY: Come on guys just the sisters and an old woman
Tyrone looks at Greg who is struggling from a sister
Tyrone: Hey Greg watch out
GREG: Huh what?
Tyrone throws a knife at the zombie which lands in the head
GREG: Ahhh. Thanks
They finally finish the two zombies that are left. And all look for each other.
GREG: Hang on! Where is Rebecca
ASHELY: I don’t know. Did she leave?
TYRONE: I don’t know. I didn’t see her leave. Did any of you?
GREG: No, I didn’t
ASHELY: I didn’t.
TYRONE: I think she left because of me.
ASHELY: I don’t know but she would have been long on. It was her choice. Now we need to move on too. It’s too open here. This zombie thing is going to keep happening.
TYRONE: What do you mean?
GREG: I agree. We do need to leave
End of scene
====SCENE 3====
Rebecca is walking through the wood near the highway. She drags her machete along the soft mud.
Looking along onto the highway, Rebecca searches the pile up of cars, looking for any supplies or any working cars. She then weaves in between the different broad trees. She then finally gets to a bollard separating the wood and the pile-up of cars. She steps over the bollard and goes up to a car. She then turns the key in it, but it keeps getting stuck. She
then gets out of the car and circles around the car.
CUT TO
A young girl about 17 is hiding behind a car watching Rebecca. She then creeps round the car and grabs onto a door and opens it slowly.
???: Come on Kayla. Quietly
Kayla creeps into the car and opens the other side door.
Meanwhile Rebecca gets into another car and it starts up straight away. Then Kayla knows its time to confront the girl.
Kayla: Hey. Girl what’s the matter
REBECCA: Oh hey. Hang on. Do I know you
KAYLA: I don’t think
REBECCA: Do you have a brother?
KAYLA: Yeah why? He’s name is Greg
REBECCA: Oh my god. I know him
KAYLA: You do?
REBECCA: Yea. I literally just left the group he was in.
KAYLA: O. M. G. Really! How is he?
REBECCA: He’s okay but I know he is not where I left him and the group they were by the mall but now they have left
Kayla looks down at her feet then grabs onto the handle on the car
KAYLA: Can I join you? I have no one
REBECCA: Yeah sure. Get in
KAYLA: Oh, okay cool. Where are we off to?
REBECCA: I am thinking of somewhere in the city, but I don’t know where?
KAYLA: Well my dad did work in a science lab on the hill above the city. What about there
REBECCA: Sounds good. Actually, thinking about it get a people carrier if we find people.
KAYLA: Okay
Kayla gets out and gets in the people carrier about 3 cars in front of Rebecca’s
KAYLA: Lets go I can lead us there
The two cars drive off onto a side road missing the city and going up the hill towards the Science lab that Kayla’s dad worked in before the apocalypse started.
==== Scene 4====
Monica, Damien and Kasia are in the dining room just eating some broth that Kasia made up.
MONICA: MMM. Nice Kasia. You’re a good cook.
KASIA: Its my mom’s recipe. She used to make it like every Sunday instead of a normal roast.
DAMIEN: Oh cool. Its tastes amazing
Damien rises his head to Kasia and nods at her then looks back at the broth. When he does Shannade comes into the room and grabs a bowl
SHANNADE: Hey Kasia is it? Would I be able to have some?
KASIA: Yeah sure its over there ‘pointing to the counter’
SHANNADE: Thanks, it looks nice
Shannade walks over to the pan and spoons some into her bowl
SHANNADE: Now that is nice? You went to cooking college?
KASIA: Well kind of. It’s called my mom.
SHANNADE: Oh, cool can I sit with you guys?
Kasia pulls a chair from another table and puts it next to her.
KASIA: Come on then
Shannade walks over and puts her bowl onto the table then sits down
SHANNADE: Has anyone heard about the two that fell down the stairs yesterday?
Kasia’s head perches up to hear Shannade’s comment
KASIA: Who? Lucia and Vespar?
SHANNADE: Yea I think so.
KASIA: Oh, sorry Lucia died earlier
SHANNADE: Oh. Upps
KASIA: Yeah, it’s sad but we have to keep going with everything
MONICA: Yep. You just have to deal with it
KASIA: How’s you as well Monica cause wasn’t you sad the other week
MONICA: Oh yeah I am better now.
KASIA: What was the matter with you?
MONICA: Oh I was just mad at something that happened
KASIA: What?
MONICA: I don't want to talk about it please
KASIA: Oh okay.
Kasia looks back at her food and eats a spoonful
MONICA: I am going to go to my room. See you guys later
Kasia waves to monica as she takes her first step up the stairs

Great episode, lots happened and leaves tons of room for things to go different directions.

Someone had to die because otherwise there would be no drama
I don’t get why Rebecca left, or why she didn’t take Kayla back to Greg. I think some Rebecca/Greg drama is gonna go down
Thoughts on episode: This is bias, but I LOVE how both of my characters were given a huge chunk of this episode's story. Thank you. Store wise, this was my favorite yet.

least favourite I agree with Katherinee_ that I didn't really hate anyone.
thoughts on Lucia's death? I think the right choice was made between the two. Both are good characters, but Vespar has more going for him.
thoughts on Rebecca leaving the group at ashely's house: At first I thought Rebecca was screwing herself, but I'm glad she found Kayla. I'm curious to see what they find at the lab.
thoughts on kayla, Greg's sister looking for him: I hope she finds Greg. I think they will be SO close to meeting but someone will die.
