PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Wanda was upset that Natasha was gone, but saw this as a big leap forward for her gameplay. She felt like she actually had a shot to win it all, and the only thing standing in her way was Peter. She talked to T’Challa. “Listen,” she said, “I know you two have been tight since the beginning, but he has now played two idols successfully and has been likable throughout, making no enemies. If we’re sitting next to him, we lose.” T’Challa thought about it, and didn’t see how he could possibly go against Peter, but knew that it was in his best interests if Peter wasn’t there. At the challenge, the three finalists had to simply keep their hands on a totem. It went on for hours, until Peter’s arm finally gave way, as he sat down, hoping for his buddy T’Challa to win it. Wanda told T’Challa that she would drop if he took her to the finals. T’Challa said he couldn’t make a deal just yet, but Wanda said that she felt super solid. T’Challa agreed, and Wanda let go, leaving her fate entirely in T’Challa’s hands. Back at camp, Peter and T’Challa celebrated, but T’Challa seemed a bit more solemn, knowing what he had to do. He sat Peter down and told him that he was too good of a player to go to the end against. Peter, heartbroken, but understanding, hugged it out with T’Challa. That night, the vote was simple, and Peter was sent packing. Wanda was happy her plan had worked, and that the most likable player was being sent to jury. Peter shrugged it off, knowing he would campaign for his buddy T’Challa all he could, while Wanda knew she had to pull out all her ammo for the final battle at tribal council.
