SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Finale Part 4 (Reunion Show)

Mar 23, 2022 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The jury got to address Kelley, Jenn, and Lauren. Stacey started, asking what Lauren did to help out around camp, and Lauren said that she knew her skills at camp-life were not going to help her, and she decided to put her attention elsewhere into making sure morale was always good and that everyone was staying well fed and happy. “I just don’t know if any of the three of you did anything that particularly blew me away, except for taking out all the bigger threats I guess,” Stacey said. Ricard was next, asking if Kelley thinks the move to flip on Ricard was what got her to the end, or if Kenny’s overplaying got her to the end. “Honestly,” Kelley said, “I do believe my move is what got me to the end. I think we would’ve gotten Ken out whether or not he made the huge move on Crystal, and I can wholeheartedly say, I was planning on going to the end with Lauren and another woman no matter what.” Ricard then asked Lauren if he thinks she or Kelley played better. Lauren said, “Honestly, I don’t really think Kelley faced as much adversity as I did since her tribe won a lot more in the pre-merge. I went to more tribals, was exiled, and I also had the ticking time bomb of an idol, which I always consider more of a blessing than a curse.” Sarah was next and asked Kelley if she should be rewarded for her overall Survivor arc, or strictly this season, and Kelley said “Obviously, my threat was way bigger than both Lauren’s and Jenn’s going into the season, so if that is what deems me a more impressive player, then please vote for me.” Sarah asked Jenn who played the best game, and Jenn responded saying “I honestly don’t think I played a perfect game, but at least I was upfront and loyal and had to fight more without an ally or partner for a majority of the time since Hali left.” Hali commended all three and said that she was going to stay loyal to her duo, but also commended Lauren and Kelley for both getting to the end. Wendell then asked Lauren who made the call to play the idol, and Lauren said that it was all her decision. “I told Kelley to look at me to check in, but it was ultimately my call to play the idol, and I was able to read the room correctly. Jenn and Christine were acting sketchy, and honestly, if Jenn had played it cooler at camp, you’d probably be sitting in the end,” she said. Wendell said he was really impressed and said “I always said I’d vote for the person responsible for taking me out, and you did it, so good job.” Shan said that she definitely had choice words for Kelley at times, but it was only because she respected her gameplay. “Why was I a unanimous vote?” she asked Jenn, and Jenn replied honestly saying “I was just doing as I was told,” in which Kelley chimed in saying “Lauren made the call to go unanimous in order to make sure nobody would flip and cause the split vote to spiral out of control.” Shan said “I respect that,” and walked away. Christine said that she was very proud of Jenn and told the jury that Jenn played it so cool that nobody ever thought to get rid of her, and asked Kelley if Jenn had lost final four immunity if she would have gone home. “I still think Kenny was the biggest threat,” Kelley said, “So I think I would’ve still tried to get him out as long as he didn’t have immunity.” Crystal was next and apologized to Lauren saying “I know that throwing that rogue vote on you sunk my game, and for that I apologize.” And then she asked if Lauren considered herself to be riding Kelley’s coattails, in which she said, “I do think you have to keep bigger threats in front of yourself, and Kelley is just a more iconic player. But in terms of the moves made, I think it was 50-50, with myself even making some huge moves such as not splitting the vote on Shan and ultimately playing the idol to get out Wendell.” Ken asked Kelley if she had anything negative to say about Lauren, and Kelley said “As a person, no. As a game player, all I can say is that the exile week was a freebie, and I do think it put my in a tough position to betray Ricard, and I do think that was a bit unfair in how it all shook out in me taking all the heat for it.” Ken then asked Jenn if she deserved his vote, and Jenn said “You told me that if I voted you out, you’d never vote for me to win, so I risked my own jury management in throwing a vote somewhere else so I could uphold that deal.” Ken respected it.

In the end, the voting turned out like this:

Stacey- Jenn
Ricard- Lauren
Sarah- Lauren
Hali- Jenn
Wendell- Lauren
Shantel- Lauren
Christine- Jenn
Crystal- Lauren
Ken-Jenn

And the winner, by a 5-4-0 vote, of SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS II is… LAUREN O’CONNELL!

NEXT SEASON PREVIEW: This next season, we’re doing something very different that we’ve been saving on the back burner for a while. There are so many reality competition shows out there that require one very important element: hosting. But we’ve never actually seen what happens when you throw a bunch of hosts onto the actual shows they’re hosting. Do they stack up to the pressure, or they better left on the desk making the announcements? In our next season, we’re putting that sentiment to the test. It’s our new season, SURVIVOR: HOSTS WITH THE MOST. Let us know down below which cast members you’d like to see (and yes, Jeff Probst will be there).

You all have given great suggestions. I'll be completely honest, my international watching is a bit lacking, so I am not necessarily as familiar with BB Canada and Australian Survivor and such. SO, in a future season, perhaps I may put them on the cast, but this cast will likely be more US focused because of my personal knowledge base
