PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With the final six here, Christine and Jenn knew that they were facing and uphill battle against two pairs. “Ken and Crystal promised us an alliance in order to get our votes to boot Shan,” Christine said, “So I just have to hope that they uphold that.” Meanwhile, Kelley and Lauren knew that they also had a final four with Crystal and Kenny. Crystal and Kenny, meanwhile, met to discuss their next plan. “We have to play this very carefully,” Ken said, “If we get rid of Wentworth or Lauren, then we’re the last pair left and that’s super dangerous.” “But If we get out Christine or Jenn,” Crystal said, “then we are breaking the word we JUST made.” The two didn’t know what to do and planned on the immunity challenge bringing some clarity.
The immunity challenge involved the six remaining contestants hugging a pole, in which the last one standing would win. Kenny dropped, wanting to minimize his threat level, with Crystal and Christine falling shortly after. Lauren was next out, leaving Jenn and Kelley. Jenn wasn’t giving up without a fight, but it was ultimately Kelley who won the challenge, securing her spot in final five.
Back at camp, Christine and Jenn knew they had to vote for Lauren. Christine, however, wanted assurance from Kenny and Crystal and asked them if they were down. Crystal said that she didn’t want to break the word she just made, but Kenny was a bit more quiet. This caused Christine to get concerned, and she told Jenn that she didn’t trust Kenny. “He’s had everyone wrapped around his finger,” Christine said, “What if we just get rid of Kenny tonight?”
Christine went to Lauren and Kelley and said “I know you are both voting for either Jenn or I, but I do want you to consider who’s really running the show.” Kelley knew Kenny was a big threat, but also knew that she still needed to make her way to the end, and Kenny and Crystal gave her and Lauren an easier shot at that. Kelley decided to tell Kenny and Crystal that Christine was making the move on Kenny. “They want to get you out,” Kelley said. Kenny immediately knew that he was set on getting rid of Christine, but Crystal was still bothered by this. “Christine and I have had a rocky relationship,” Crystal said, “But we promised them final four if they voted Shan out, so I feel extra crappy going against that, even if she may be targeting Kenny.”
Crystal pulled Kenny aside to ask if they could still go for Lauren. “Lauren and Kelley are a strong duo that aren’t targeting us now, but will surely beat us in competition come final four ,” Crystal said, but Ken didn’t seem to want to budge. “I honestly hate how it’s always Kenny’s approval to make a plan or not,” she said in confessional, “I wish he let me have a say, because right now I don’t feel like an equal.” Jenn and Christine met before tribal and Jenn said that she wasn’t sure if she would use her idol only because she didn’t want to waste it if she needed it in final five. They made one last ditch effort with Lauren saying “With Kenny out, we can finally play at an even playing field all around.”
At tribal council, Jenn decided to hold onto her idol. Christine and Jenn both voted for Kenny, trying to take the shot at them. Lauren and Kelley decided NOT to vote with Christine and Jenn and voted FOR Christine. Crystal, keeping her word to Christine and Jenn, voted for Lauren, leaving the deciding vote in Kenny’s hands, to which he voted out Christine. This sealed her fate, and she felt proud of making it so much further than her first season.
