Season Titled, 'Retribution' (Part Nine of Ten): Episode Nine: "Hearts Still Beating"
--Act One--
In the Kitchens, Queen Jennifer sits. Her arched back hanging over her stool as she watches Servants scurry about the Kitchens. She chuckles. Smiling at her defeat, knowing of what is to come. She waves her hand with great significance, greeting everyone to a welcome chair before her.
She notices among these Servants that Fei stands within the Crowd. Smiling once more, Jennifer offers Fei a seat alongside her as she welcomes them all before her.
Queen Jennifer: (Solemnly) "You know, when I was a girl I served as a consort for Tabatha of Fedelus. Oh it was a wonderful time . . ."
Queen Jennifer takes Fei's tender hand into hers, patting her gently as she holds her close.
Queen Jennifer: "Pageants and Dances, So many dances!" (Chuckling) "I once appeared as Queen of the Amazons, with a naked sword in my hand"
(Gesturing a great object within her hand) "A Crimson Headdress with a great bloom. However . . . Tabatha was wise too. She said to us, Trust in those who offer you service"
Queen Jennifer pauses, bowing her head as she glances at the Servants before her, most particularly Fei.
Queen Jennifer: "And in the end my Maidens, You'll find yourselves in the ranks of those who've been deceived . . ." (Her head turns to Fei, acknowledging their frustrations)
Queen Jennifer: "I will always forgive you" she bestows, a gleaming smile remaining high upon her face.
--Act Two--
Lady Chandler sits within her Quarters staring blankly at a bare wall before her. However, this wall isn't just bare. Despite the stone structure, an image rests in the twinkling eye of Chandler who is captivated by Iris who remains still, her scarlet hair draping down as if she was still pure.
Lady Chandler: "This isn't possible. I must be going insane"
Iris: (Refusing to acknowledge her) "Don't be silly my girl! Of course your not"
Iris takes Chandler's hand into her own, lowering before as she stares into her eyes quietly.
Lady Chandler: "Your dead . . ." She whispers with remorse, Iris nodding in agreement.
Iris: "For the Greater Good. I think I prevented it soon enough"
Lady Chandler: (Confused by Iris' remark) "Prevented what?"
Iris: "Your Father . . . only twice correct?"
Lady Chandler: (Pausing)
Iris remains visibly quiet as Lady Chandler's face droops. Her hands becoming colder as Iris speaks out.
Lady Chandler: "I saw it, I saw what was to come . . . You showed me"
Iris: "What?"
Lady Chandler: "Before my Father entered you came to me. You said you was from the future, you was all disfigured!" she exclaims.
Iris pauses once more, sighing as she takes Chandler's hand.
Iris: "For who you saw wasn't me . . ."
Lady Chandler: "Then who was it?"
Iris: "It was you my Lady, for I am dead. I cannot enact such powers from beyond the grave. I have used you as a capsule for my magic but for who you saw, for who guided you was indeed yourself"
Lady Chandler: "But I looked? . . ."
Iris: "The way you do in the years to come. I altered your future but at a price. I chose the one that would keep those who're pure in the right. I chose a future at a cost. That cost was you"
Lady Chandler: "No . . . You said you was changing it for me?!" she boldly panics rising to her feet.
Iris: "As I did . . . But for what was yet to come my Lady, you will birth the child who will save world"
Lady Chandler: "Child?"
Iris bows her head solemnly, taking Chandler's hand before white mist empowers her. She falls back in a state of shock, an image of a Child, a Girl is shown throughout the images before her. Her father, Noah standing behind her in the captivating darkness as he watches his two Daughters beside a roaring fireplace.
Iris: "Her name is Hannah" Iris speaks out as a vision ends.
Lady Chandler rises, her tears overwhelming her as she begins to panic momentously.
Lady Chandler: "I can't . . . I will not!" she boldly bellows out.
Lady Chandler: "I will not carry a bastard, I won't!"
--Act Three--
Lord Marcus awaits in his studies, word circulating across the Castle about his deceit against the King.
However, before him enters his Granddaughter, Lady Lauren who forces her way into the Castle in a state.
Lady Lauren: "Grandfather!" she exclaims, falling into his arms.
Lord Marcus: "Where's your Cousin?" he timidly questions, Lauren shrugging in response.
Lady Lauren: "What are we going to do?" she cries out in concern, her Grandfather for once being clueless upon his situation.
Lord Marcus: "Stay close my child . . ." he protests, holding Lauren beside him in fear of the oncoming boots of the Kings Guard.
Lord Marcus is interrupted, his Studies being rampaged through a stampede as Sir Anthony enters his Quarters.
Lord Marcus: "What is the meaning of this?!" he demands, no response given.
Lord Marcus: "I said answer me!" he repeats once more. Sir Anthony remaining stern.
Sir Anthony: (Holding a scroll before him) "Under Act, 248 of 5028 Lord Marcus and Lady Lauren, you're here by sentenced to Imprisonment upon the King's Orders."
Lord Marcus: "What, no!" He boldly interfere's
Lady Lauren: (Intimidated) "Grandfather?"
Sir Anthony: "You're to be put on trial for the Act of Treason"
At this moment, Lord Marcus and Lady Lauren are ambushed within the Studies, the King's Guard grabbing Lauren by her corset, tugging her by the silk.
Lord Marcus: "Release her at once!" He demands peace. Sir Anthony remaining noble.
Lord Marcus is too grabbed and righteously taken in the hand of the King's Guard.
Lady Lauren: "Grandfather!"
Lord Marcus: "Are you crazy? I said release us at once!" he continues to enact.
The two relatives are escorted out of the Studies and into the halls where on-hand Servants watch in awe, unknowing of what has occurred.
--Act Four--
Once more, Queen Jennifer resides in the Kitchen's with many Hand-Maidens.
She begins to sow timidly, her fear growing as whispers begin to circulate of the Arrest of Lady Lauren and Lord Marcus.
She prepares her grace, her stature as she hears the running plea of a dear Hand-Maiden loyal to her.
Hand-Maiden: "It's him, It's the King!" she panics, Hand-Maidens running as they return to work.
Alongside his Majesty, Sir Anthony and the Kings Guard stand before Queen Jennifer.
She boldly glances to the ground, placing her utensils beside her.
Queen Jennifer: "My Lords, why have you come?" (A faint expression of fear running deep)
Sir Anthony: "This is the warrant for your arrest" (Holding before a scroll)
King Noah exclaims a charming smile upon his face standing before his Wife.
Sir Anthony: "You're charged for committing Adultery with Randall Barone. You're charged with the Act of Treason alongside your Grandfather, Lord Marcus Anderson and Cousin, Lady Lauren Richards."
Queen Jennifer holds a faint expressionless posture, staring coldly at her Husband whilst Hand-Maidens look on.
Sir Anthony: "We have come at the King's Command to conduct you to the Tower. There to abide by his Majesty's Pleasure."
Queen Jennifer holds a faint smile.
Queen Jennifer: "If it be his Majesty's pleasure" (Rising from her seat) "Then I am ready to obey"
Hand-Maidens rise to Queen Jennifer's needs, offering their service.
Sir Anthony: "Packing won't be necessary my Queen, we will have your essentials delivered to you"
Queen Jennifer bows in silence, accepting these conditions.
Queen Jennifer: "Then so be it"
--Act Five--
Within the Courtyards of the Towers, Queen Jennifer wears a silk cloak that hangs upon her Crown, awaiting her is a Priest who guides her way through a closing gate.
She glances back, her hood falling across her shoulders as she bellows out.
Queen Jennifer: "My Lords, before you go I beset you to the King for his will to be good to me!"
Sir Anthony takes no acknowledgement of Jennifer's words as the gates close upon her.
Priest: "This way, I pray you" he offers his service, taking Jennifer towards her imprisonment.
She follows timidly behind, stumbling down stairs as she glances at the towers before her.
Queen Jennifer: (In Defense) "I pray God will help me as there isn't any truth in these allegations"
Priest: (Taking no acknowledgment) "This way"
She hastily defies him, walking alongside the Priest who escorts her.
Queen Jennifer: "I am the King's true wedded Wife, I'm not Guilty of these charges! I am as free from the company of man as I am from sin!" she expresses proudly as the Priest halts.
He stands before a door, opening it to dungeons.
Queen Jennifer's face holds stern, glancing inside with disgust.
Queen Jennifer: "Do I go in a Dungeon Sir?"
Priest: "No madam, there are lodgems made ready for you" he insists.
Queen Jennifer chuckles, only to fall into the Priest's arms, crying for mercy.
Queen Jennifer: (Begging) "Oh this is too good for me. Jesus have mercy on me . . ."
Queen Jennifer: (Rising with aid) "Thank you"
She regains composure, entering the shrouded Dungeons as she glances back.
Queen Jennifer: (Insisting) "May I have the Holy Sacristan placed in my Cell so I can Pray for Mercy"
The Priest bestows her request, accepting it as Queen Jennifer enters. After she enters, he closes it behind her.
King Noah awaits him, the Priest walking alongside his Majesty upon the imprisonment of the Queen.
King Noah: "You have my Requests yes?" he asks with integrity.
Priest: "My Lord, you must forgive me but are you willing to go forward with this. She has a son"
King Noah: "The Child will become a Bastard, his Parents will be separated. You will follow my orders is that understood?"
King Noah enacts a righteous stance as his blood boils with envy.
Priest: "As you wish, Your Majesty"
