Episode One: "Your Will Shall Decide Your Destiny"
::Scene One::
A long, hurdling train chugs along several sturdy tracks as flourishing winds and majestic blossoms bloom in the summer breeze. A glimmer, a tight reflection shimmers inwards upon the stained window. Inside, a timid fifteen year old girl rests gently upon her seat with a small, neat hat dressing in wild flowers and berries. She sits with great posture, her gaze reaching out until the screeching of a nearby child alerts her, her wide eyes drawing near with the thinning of her pupils closing in on a child crying into its mothers arms.
Voices circle, the small girl trembling as she tugs at her dress.
(Inner-Thoughts): "How dare you!" a voice beckons as the finest china smashes.
Little Girl: "I'm so sorry, I'll clean it up!"
(Inner-Thoughts): "Never mind that, I told you to have their meals ready by the time I got back"
A woman shrugs her shoulders, the girl becoming startled as she turns nervously to a woman who sits proudly beside her.
(Inner-Thoughts): "You just wait . . . Your father will be hearing of this!"
Screaming ensues, however this is soon flooded with the voice of the woman beside her who brings her into her reality.
Guardian: "What ever is the matter with you child? Are you Ill?"
Little Girl: "No. . ." (Turning to the window) "I'm just excited" she boldly claims, a graceful smile appearing on her rose filled face.
As a summer's day holds strong upon the dawn of Sunday Evening, the train eventually halts at Everdeen Station, just on the out-skirts of Raindale, a luxurious town to all, a residence that only holds upto 320 people.
Guardian: "Come along Venelope, we're running late" the woman insists, taking Venelope by her arm.
Further into the station, a sophisticated but shy woman in her early 20's stands in a form of state, her vibrant brown skin becoming a sight. She wears small glasses and has an irregular sense of fashion despite her age. She stands nervously, twirling her fingers in her hand as she pulls back at her hair, firmly placed in a position with several grips.
Jade Crow: "I'm so excited! I'm so excited . . . Jade . . . I'm so scared" the woman sequels to herself, unable to control her excitement.
From afar, Venelope enters the station with the Guardian she is escorted alongside by, both coming into view of Jade in the distance as Venelope stands pretentiously, unsure of how to address Jade.
Guardian: (Greeting Jade) "You must be Miss. Crow yes?"
Jade: "Thats what she said!" (She chuckles to herself before winking at Venelope)
Her lack of social awareness and inability to speak in proper conversation is apparent.
Jade: (Noticing the Guardian's dismay alongside Venelope's confusion) "Sorry."
Guardian: "As we stated previously, Venelope is on trial. Under your care she will be looked after, clothed, fed and educated sufficiently. Is this understood?"
Jade: "Oh, yes. I'm much obliged thank you!"
Guardian: (Glancing at Jade perversely before agreeing) "Well, I have another call to make, I'll keep in touch"
She settles Venelope's bag down beside her before departing the two strangers, thus leaving Jade and Venelope in an awkward stare between one another.
Jade: "Don't worry, I'm not like a regular mom, I'm a cool mom"
Jade notices Venelope's dismay, removing herself from her quirky nature as she apologizes once more.
Jade: "Let's go home?"
Venelope: (She looks up at Jade for a moment, smiling briefly) "I'd like that, thank you Miss. Crow"
Jade: "Oh nonsense! Call me Jade! You make me sound as if I'm 50. Hey . . . I tell you though, have you ever read the Planet Comic Series?"
Venelope: "No Mis- I mean, Jade"
Jade: (Gasping as she takes Venelope's bags instantly) "Really? Oh I have so much to tell you!"
In an act of excitement, Jade skips along with Venelope beside her, both preparing for their departure from the station and the return back to Jade's home in Raindale.
::Scene Two::
Upon the return to Raindale, Jade and Venelope arrive outside an extravagant street running down for half a mile, houses as big as the eye can see standing before a timid Venelope.
Jade: "Welcome to Raindale, I know it isn't much . . . I still find it hard myself and it's been two years!"
Jade opens Venelope's door to allow her to exit the vehicle only to see her mesmerized, becoming unsure of whether she was frightened or excited.
Jade: "Oh, I'm doing it again aren't I? Shit . . ."
Venelope: "No, no it's lovely . . . It's more than lovely . . . It's magical"
Jade rests proudly upon her car, sharing a declaration with Venelope before welcoming her inside.
Meanwhile, across the street stands a bold white house, decorated with religious imagery of Jesus, a crucifix hanging boldly above a door frame as a small teenage girl sits in a black corset, her brown hair tugged back with white lace coming from her collar.
She watches momentarily at Jade Crow and her affiliate, Venelope Hanson enter Jade's house before a voice beckons for her.
Mother: "Addison dear, your father is waiting" she insists, escorting Addison into the Dining Room.
Father: "Addison, my darling daughter. Come, come . . . We're about to say grace"
Addison formally agree's, however her face remains stern as she sits below a dim chandelier and around a small table set for four all whilst three are only present. She takes her father's hand and her mother's but watches as they place theirs upon two napkins that rest opposite her. She frowns. The grace begins.
::Scene Three::
The Following Morning, a bird chirps through Venelope's bedroom window as a blossom tree drapes inside, breaking blossoms falling upon the oak wood floor.
She glistens as she watches them, awaiting for Jade's arrival who soon enters in a cluster. Stumbling through the door, Jade holds a perfectly neat dress as she smiles down upon Venelope.
Venelope: (Reaching upwards after taking sight of the dress) "A dress?"
Jade: "It's mine . . . I thought you'd like it for your first day of school?"
Venelope: "School? How . . . I only just arrived"
Jade: "I want to make a good impression, for Mrs. Williams. I paid for a private education"
Venelope: "Miss Crow, No! You shouldn't of"
Jade: "I insist" (Jade smiles as she places her dress down for Venelope who exits the bed)
Jade: "I have plenty from where it came from, the business at the store is doing good lately"
Venelope: (Tugging at her old outfit from the day before) "I've never had a new dress before"
Jade watches proudly as she flaunts herself in the presence of Venelope. Her gleeful smile taking a warmth to Venelope who takes the dress from its resting place.
Venelope: "Thank you, Jade" she acknowledges.
Jade: "I'll drop you off, I'll be waiting downstairs. Breakfasts almost ready"
Jade departs the room, closing the white door behind her leaving a joyful Venelope along as she takes her bag, ready for her day ahead.
::Scene Four::
Outside Raindale Academy of Private Education, an inflow of freshmen and returning students climb the stairs up towards the extraordinary building build from oak wood.
In particular, two girls march from two separate cars, both refusing to acknowledge one another as another two girls await, staring down at the two as both chuckle to eachother.
Skye: "Oh, they're off again Renee, what's this? Third time during the summer!"
Renee: (Rolling her eyes as she walks down towards the twins)
Renee: "And what do you call this?" (Snatching at their arms as she joins them together)
Susan & Brea: "She started it!" . . . "No you started it!" (The girls engage in a heated argument)
Renee: "Stop it! I said stop it!" (Renee separates them as Skye steps back)
Susan and Brea both remain quiet, both noticeable keeping their heads down as Renee speaks out.
Renee: "We're here to keep up appearances, it's our last year for fucks sake. What's wrong with you both?!"
Skye: "Sisterly squabbles again girls?" (She chuckles as Susan glares at her)
Susan: "If you must know . . . I'm seeing Ethan Durant!" (She lies)
Brea: (Chuckling intensely at her sisters comment) "She wishes"
Renee: "Congratulations! Brea? What are you on about"
Brea: "He said he'd think about it, Susan's bullshitting as usual."
Skye: "So . . . Your not seeing Ethan?"
Susan prepares herself as she regains her composure.
Susan: "Not yet . . . but I'm almost there!"
Skye: (Continuing to giggle at her embarrassment)
Renee: "For crying out loud, you two need to sort your shit out"
Renee takes them once more as they prepare to enter the school until Jade's car pulls up alongside the school entrance, she opens the door allowing for Venelope to exit.
The four girls turn, watching Jade drive off as Venelope holds her back closely, dressed in dark brown attire as she begins walking forward. However, her status is already known.
Brea: "Oh my . . . It's that Orphan that Crow adopted"
Venelope's head swirls, hearing laughter as Skye stands confused.
Skye: "Orphan?"
Renee: "Yes, Logan was with his parents yesterday and they saw them leaving the station"
Susan: "What is she wearing?" (Susan says with great disgust)
As Venelope marches to the steps, she turns to three boys who toss bags into one another's arms as they approach the school.
Logan: (Nudging to the boy next to him, thus being Clark Marwood the wealthiest person at Raindale)
Clark: (Creating barking noises as she laughs at Venelope)
The two boys wave at Renee and the other girls as they walk past, Clark forcefully barging Venelope who trips. Inside, the bells chime alerting all 150 students to the main hall for welcoming. However, as Venelope watches everyone pass her one of the three boys remain behind.
Ethan: "Hey, sorry about him. Are you alright?"
Venelope: "Oh please, don't act like you care I saw you sneering with them"
Ethan: "Sneering, thats a good word" he laughs.
Ethan reaches out, tapping her hat as her brown curls fall onto her shoulders.
Ethan: "It was nice meeting you freckles" he insists, smiling briefly as Venelope scolds him.
Upon his departure, Venelope makes her way inside, following the crowds to the main halls to where they all stand in the center, all facing towards a large stage.
She holds her small bag within the palms of her hand, hearing the chuckling from around the hall as Principal. Nolan Kizler enters the hall.
Beside Venelope, a young girl settles beside her, this girl being Addison who enters the hall in her black corset. The two exchange few glances and no words, both staring ahead as the valley of students fall silent.
Principal Nolan: "Welcome all, to the new semester!"
The uproar from the students is from few and many. Principal Nolan reaching across with his eyes as he smiles at the clan of girls who cheer in the center.
Principal Nolan: "To welcome you all back, Ian Kinley has something to share with us"
Ian Kinley, one of the eldest students currently studying at Raindale enters the stage from the left as a film begins to play.
Ian: "Here, we have a little introduction as to what we can all achieve here and for the foreseeable future"
A clipshow begins, showing several former and current students as a video begins to play of the boys soccer teams. In particular, a very skilled and highly professional young student stands out as the girls cheer. However, in the back of the hall Clark Marwood turns to a boy younger than him with great confusion.
Clark: "No Jackson this year?"
Before Clark stands Jackson's younger brother, Alex who frowns before answering.
Alex: "Travelling, he said he wanted to see the world"
Clark: (Chuckling) "That brother of yours is something else, pity I'll be losing him from the team this year"
Alex's face remains stern before returning to the clip show that ends briefly afterwards.
Principal Nolan: "Thank you Ian, and to all of you here with me this Semester."
Principal Nolan: "Together, we're Raindale Academy of Private Education!"
The crowd roars as Nolan Kizler stands proudly above them, glaring down upon his current students.

Thoughts Upon the Premiere?: I enjoyed it, I'm liking Venelope's storyline so far!
How will Venelope interact with her Adoptive Mother, Jade?: I think she'll be fine, Venelope seems kind enough. I don't think she'll do anything awful towards her.
What happened to cause Venelope to be an Orphan?: No idea, I mean obviously her parents left or they died? I'm guessing they died, so I'm intrigued to find out more about that.
Views upon the 'Clique' formed between the Twins, Skye & Renee?: The typical mean girls of Raindale Academy I assume? I'm interested to see what happens between them and Venelope in the future. I'm also curious to find out if Venelope is going to stay a loner or branch out and befriend other people. Maybe she friends the mean girls? Maybe the mean girls pretend to friend her? Who knows!
Opinions upon the harassment Venelope is receiving for being an Orphan: I think it's awful honestly. I mean you can't really expect much from the mean girls, but Skye seemed a little empathetic? Maybe it was an act? Who knows.
Was Ethan bullying Venelope or genuinely being nice?: Hmm I don't know. I assume he was being nice, but she wasn't having it lol
Predictions for the Season going forward?: No idea as of now, I'm assuming a big part of it is going to be the mean girls vs Venelope? Maybe Susan's love for Ethan gets crushed when Ethan falls for Venelope? Who knows, but it'll cause tension for sure if that's the case!
Favorite & Least Favorite Characters currently?: My favorite would obviously have to be Venelope, she's rootable right now. My least favorite would have to be Susan or Clark at the moment.

But Venelope reminds me of Veronica from Riverdale
New girl who draws the attention of someone who someone else is hardcore crushing on
Thoughts Upon the Premiere?: It was a great introduction for the characters.
How will Venelope interact with her Adoptive Mother, Jade?: I think Venelope won't be too impressionate towards Jade at first, so I think they will need to build trust with each other.
What happened to cause Venelope to be an Orphan?: Her parents would have to be dead for her to be an "orphan".
Views upon the 'Clique' formed between the Twins, Skye & Renee?: Oh, the stereotypical popular crowds that will be irrelevant after they graduate high school? You mean those cliques?
Opinions upon the harassment Venelope is receiving for being an Orphan: It was to be expected. People make excuses for anything nowadays.
Was Ethan bullying Venelope or genuinely being nice?: I feel like Ethan might have been fake towards Venelope or Ven just doesn't trust Ethan. It's obviously one of the 2.
Predictions for the Season going forward?: It's a Horror Story, so whatever happens, it's definitely going to be a turn for the worse at some point and not everyone will make it out alive.
Favorite & Least Favorite Characters currently?: Venelope has already been planted as the main protagonist. However, and call me biased, but I would have to say Jade is my favorite character so far. Maybe it's because of who she's based off of, but so far this adaptation looks to be going in the right direction. My least favorite is nobody really. There's too big a crowd at the bottom.
Thoughts Upon the Premiere?: I definitely feel like you gave us a feel for the characters and what is to come.
How will Venelope interact with her Adoptive Mother, Jade?: I think they will end up getting along.
What happened to cause Venelope to be an Orphan?: Maybe Venelope is some psycho murderer who killed her parents. ;)

It's sad, but I think it will just fuel her to be stronger
