Episode Two: "Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things"
::Scene One::
A week into the Semester, a new dawn arises over Raindale. As the town awakens, households churn in motion. Mother's dress their children in their formal attire, father's dash to work as bicycles ride by with newspapers flying from every side.
However, upon one street the firm slashes in the air ripple through the wind. Addison, hunched over with her back struck out firmly over her bedpost, squirms in agony as her Father stands just feet away.
Father: "Repent!" he insists, his silver cross dangling from his neck.
Her tears run dry as the striking of his belt continues across her bloodied back.
Father: "I said you shall repent!" He insists once more, thus grabbing Addison by her arm.
Addison: (Her eyes turn gray as she takes to her feet)
Father: (His fear grows) "W- . . . What sort of demon are you"
From outside, her mother stands. Her fist in her mouth as she watches with great agony, turning away as her husband drops her daughter to the ground. He leaves. The door closes, leaving a frail Addison on the ground in a small pool of her dark blood which stains the floor of her room. Her eyes burn with anger, climbing back into her bed and beneath the covers as she listens for her parents departure. Her weak eyes beckon over, turning to her dark corset which rests solemnly upon her bedpost ready for the day ahead.
During this ordeal, just across the street a dignified Venelope departs from Jade's loving home with a small basket within her hands. She takes in the surrounding area, breathing in the bristle air into her lungs with a gleaming smile upon her face. She seems happy . . . for once. However, as she sets off towards the glistening picket fence that stands high in the grass ahead she spots a masculine boy awaiting for her. As she approaches she soon realises his appearance, thus being Ethan who places a charming smile upon his face.
Venelope growls at him, a sour scold is shot at him once again in his efforts to charm her.
Ethan: (Cheerfully gesturing to her) "Come on freckles, not even an hello?" he laughs.
Venelope: "I have far better things to do than appease the humorous actions of a child"
Ethan: "Such big words, appease and humorous. Damn where did they find you freckles?"
Venelope comes to a halt, sighing momentarily as she places her basket to her side.
Venelope: "Atleast have the decency to call me by my name. My name is Venelope. Venelope Hanson"
Ethan: "Alright, Venelope Hanson" (A slight chuckle) "I'm Ethan, Ethan Durant"
Venelope: "Nice to meet you Ethan Durant, but I must be on my way!"
She shows disdain in trusting a charming Ethan as she soon scurries off, leaving a smug Ethan with a slight grin upon his face watching her bounce away. However, as the two shared their ordeal just across the street watches Clark Marwood's loyal friend, Logan Friar. He tilts his head, watching the pair interact before departing for school.
::Scene Two::
Inside Raindale Academy, a circulation in the crowds rejoice inside the canteen. At the center of the crowds, Renee sits impatiently as she glares at the bickering twins. Susan and Brea, once again coming to blows as the canteen chuckle to their immaturity.
Brea: "You're so naive!"
Susan: "He does! I swear he does"
Skye: (Under her breath) "He doesn't . . ."
Susan glares at her sister as she reaches for her cellphone, reading of the texts she exchanged with Ethan.
(Text Messages)
Susan: Hey xxxx 11:00
Ethan: Hi. 11:22
Susan: I saw you playing soccer today! I was amazed! xxxxx 11:23
Ethan: Cute 13:01
Susan: You think I'm cute? xxxxxxxx ^_^ 13:01
Ethan: Uhm . . . 13:10
Susan: Do you want to go out? xxxxxxxx <3 13:12
Ethan: Okay? 13:15
Susan: I love you so much <3333333 13:15
Ethan: Yh 18:48
(End of Text Messages)
Skye leans in, Renee watches from the back as Brea reads them to herself. As Skye can barely hold in her laughter, Brea goes to speak until Renee interrupts. All three of the girls falling silent as she speaks.
Renee: "They're lovely together. Brea stop inteferring!"
Brea: "Renee . . ."
Renee: (Turning to Brea) "I said no"
Susan: (Looking smug) "Thank you Renee, I told you me and Ethan were real!"
Voice: "I would think twice about that sweetheart" a brave voice calls out.
From behind, the two jocks, Clark and Logan enter the canteen to find the girls sitting at the tables. Clark gives a strapping smile to his lover Renee who watches intensely as he walks on over.
Clark: "From what my man Logan has told me, Ethan's got nothing for you malibu"
Susan: "Excuse me"
Brea: "I knew it"
Skye: "Of course" She sniggers
Logan: "I saw Ethan speaking to the orphan girl this morning. It wasn't just speaking . . . he was trying to get her attention"
Renee: "The Orphan girl? If my parents saw me speaking to that then I'd be moved schools"
Susan: "Your moving?!"
Renee: (Rolling her eyes) "No. It's a figure of speech"
Skye: "Ethan isn't like all of us, so what if he's making friends"
Clark: "So what? He's one of us. We have a reputation to maintain. I am not letting some Orphan bitch drag us down with that"
Renee: "So what do we do?"
Clark: "We meet on Friday night in Wiltshire Estate, we'll discuss it then"
::Scene Three::
Further into town a small farm rests. It's cleanliness is nothing but a state, a diminished replica of what it once was. Inside however is far worse, a ghastly resemblance of the pig sty outside. Bot flies hurdling the rotting bread as fungi grows on the window panels.
In the midst of the chaos, a young Alex works to piece together a meal. However becomes to weak to continue. He weeps to himself and strikes his fist down, moving the dish to the side as he bows his head.
In the corridor, a hurdling sound of wheeziness comes from a closed door. He reels himself to the corner of the Kitchen door, listening to the cascading sounds drifting through the house. The sounds churn like a car engine, white smoke coming from the room as violent choking surges its way through the house. His eyes fall faint and pale as his head hangs low in disappointment.
In the corridor, the door reads 'Jackson's Room' sporting traditional attire for a elderly teenage boy. However, inside is nothing that a teenage boy should face. Moments later the white smoke vaporizes into the air and out comes a timid young man. From Jackson's room, Ian Kinley, a former friend of Jackson's from Raindale departs from the room and looks down the corridor towards a solemn Alex who rests upon the dining table that sits coldly in the small kitchen. He sports a small smile, walking towards Alex before taking a seat next to him.
Ian frowns, seeing no sign of expression as the soup prepared for Jackson rests upon the table.
Alex: "He isn't getting better is he?" a disappointed Alex murmurs.
Ian: (Tilting his head as he places his arm around Alex) "Not yet. Maybe tomorrow" he hopes.
Elsewhere, little Addison places her finishing ribbons upon her corset. She flaunts herself in a stained mirror as she lets her brown hair flow, tieing it back firmly in a small white ribbon. She turns to her door and tenses, clutching at the door handle as she turns the knob, opening it to see the corridor ahead with a room awaiting at the end of the corridor, lit by candles and a small crib for a new-born child resting in the room ahead. She frowns. However, the image of her parents soon materializes awaiting for her to approach them in which she does.
::Scene Four::
During the school day, Jade sits firmly in her home with a console on. She remains excited and enthusiastic over her new life as she sets herself down for the day ahead, turning on the games she plays with a pile of comic books stacked beside her, higher than the eye can see. However, her day is once more interrupted by three thuds coming from the door. Her agony of leaving her desires is agonizing as she struggles to find the strength to climb from her chair, walking to the door and opening it to find Venelope's Principal, Nolan Kizler standing before her. Her wide eyed expression seeming more riddled with anguish than shock.
Jade: "Mr. Kizler . . . What brings you here?"
Principal Nolan: (A slight charm to him) "Hello Miss. Crow, is darling Venelope here?"
Jade: "No, it's a School Day as you know"
Prinicpal Nolan: "Wonderful, so we can drop these appearances Jade and I'll allow myself in shall I?"
Jade firmly grips to the door edges however, suddenly an urge of strength strikes her as she stiffens.
Jade: (Her eyes and lip tremble as she watches Nolan take off his hat)
Jade: "Y-Yes . . . Come into the room"
Jade: "And not the horrendous 2003 movie either!" she fearfully laughs, squinting her eyes terribly.
Nolan however sighs with animosity, throwing his long coat down as his gloves remain to his hands. He enters the abode as he turns to a fearful Jade who glances towards him.
Principal Nolan: "If I'm here you can drop the silly references. They'll throw me through a loop"
Jade: "I'm sorry!" she soon reacts, moving into the lounge as she takes her seat.
Principal Nolan: (Running his hand across the comic books) "Filth"
Jade: "They're in mint condition. I keep the classics here!" she nervously states.
However, the scolding of Nolan is apparent as she once again falls quiet.
Principal Nolan: "I've come to see how you're handling the girl"
Jade: "Venelope?"
Principal Nolan: "Yes . . . Venelope. Is she a clever girl?"
Jade: "Stop it"
Principal Nolan: (Turning his eyes to Jade)
Principal Nolan: Excuse me?"
Jade: "We agreed she'd be under my care, I did what I had to do get her a place in your school but whatever has happened between us does not involve her do you understand me?"
Principal Nolan: "You've lost me my sweet Jade"
Jade: "As you said, there's no need to keep up appearances here"
Principal Nolan: "Ugh" (Shrugging shoulders) "I guess not"
He takes off his gloves and rests them on his lap, leaning in towards a timid Jade.
Principal Nolan: "Tell me Jade . . ." (Wiping his brow) "How scared of me are you?" he chuckles.
Jade: (Remaining silent as she leans back, her eyes glaring into his)
Principal Nolan: (A surge of laughter overwhelms him) "That's my girl!"
Jade: "You disgust me"
Principal Nolan: "And you were the best"
Jade: "I told you once and I'll tell you again, I want nothing to do with you and if that girls gets even a scratch on her head then I'll hold you accountable, is that understood?"
Principal Nolan: "I knew you were in there somewhere . . . behind all that nonsense. My Jade"
Jade: "I am not yours anymore. Never again"
Jade rises.
Jade: "I think it's time for you to leave"
Principal Nolan: (Rising simultaneously) "Oh I think so too" he smiles briefly before taking his gloves.
As she watches Nolan exit her humble abode, her feet cave in. She falls beside her seat as she clutches at her chest, her mouth trembling with anxiety and riddled with fear. She belts out her solemn pain in violent outbursts of tears and screams. Her humble home shielding her pain from those on the outside.

Oh I like the rising action and the build up of the characters I really enjoyed it

I think her father maybe an overly religious person and thinks his daughter is possessed by a demon

Venelope honestly should give Ethan a chance I think she's being too cold on her

Ah yes rumors do fly don't they? It was interesting to see it

Perhaps to scare off Venelope or set Ethan straight to make sure they stay popular and not have Venelope join them
What is wrong with Jackson?:
He probably has a illness i don't know what kind I just know it's a fatal illness

This is very interesting seeing that they know each other and theu have a history
What History to the two share?:
I think Jade attended the same school where Nolan was still the principal and they started having an affair, when Jade tried to leave Nolan starting abusing her and Jade is worried he will do the same to Venelope
Favorite/Least Favorite Characters?:
My Spin Fav around for this episode is gotta be Jade she honestly has so much mystery in her past and that the way you are writing her makes me want to know more
My spin least fav award is sadly my own character Logan, I feel like he's just the sheep to the popular kids and that he does anything they say. I don't like the follower characters I just hope he improves since he's annoying me a little bit

No idea, I mean obviously it was something that her religious parents didn't like, but maybe Addison actually did something awful?
Thoughts upon Ethan & Venelope's Second Interaction?:
I thought it was interesting. Venelope still wants nothing to do with him, but he's persistent...and his friends do NOT like it.
Thoughts upon the Canteen Scene?:
Susan is delusional first of all (lol), but damn I wonder what they're going to do at the meeting. Is it to hurt Ethan or Venelope? Hmmm
What do the 'Popular Students' have planned?:
I have no idea, and I really want to know but I'm also scared because it could mean the beginning of the end for one of Venelope or Ethan.
What is wrong with Jackson?:
I actually don't think Jackson is alive. It's a weird theory I have, maybe Ian is lying to Alex?
Thoughts upon Jade and Nolan's Scene?:
I didn't realize Jade and Nolan used to be...a thing lmao. That took an interesting turn, and I wonder if her pushing him away is going to affect Venelope in any way.
What History to the two share?:
Oh 100% they used to hook up or something, and maybe Nolan still wants to go back there but Jade sure as hell does not!
Favorite/Least Favorite Characters?:
Favs: Addison (I have a feeling her storyline is gonna get very good), Venelope, Renee, and Ethan
Least Favs: Probably Logan and Clark, maybe something redeeming about them is coming? Who knows.
Thoughts Upon the Episode?: I liked it, and I think it'll set things up for future episodes.
Why was Addison being beaten?: Because her parents are evil. They misunderstand religion and she ends up being a victim for it.
Thoughts upon Ethan & Venelope's Second Interaction?: I think the other people really mislevel it. Venelope is not interested Ethan because she senses him being fake.
Thoughts upon the Canteen Scene?: Like I said earlier, Ethan's fake and this is the whole setting up events I was just mentioning.
What do the 'Popular Students' have planned?: I don't know
What is wrong with Jackson?: I'd have to agree with Ethan000 in that I don't think he's really alive.
Thoughts upon Jade and Nolan's Scene?: Welp, now I know who the Samir of this story is *cough* Nolan *cough*
What History to the two share?: Not going to spoil that, but if anyone's read "The Twenty-Sided Sorceress" by Annie Bellet, they can probably get the gist of their history.

I think she's starting to become closer to the idea of talking to someone honestly she is not ready for love or friends but she is getting to the idea of talking to them
There will definetley be drama with them and Venelope/Ethan or maybe Addison will defend her
