Episode One: “Welcome to Sandeyrne Island”

Fog fills the air around the island, practically slicing off the mainland from any possible sight. It was nearing the end of summer, August was slowly coming to an end but for the members of the town, it did not matter to them. Perhaps it was that they knew one day the sun would gloss over their silky pale skin, but at the current time, all that for certain was an air of isolation. Only a single ferry made its way to the island in the distance. Johnny stands atop a pillar, looking off into the horizon as the mist floats around him. There was a certain elegance about it that he welcomed, like not much else into his life. The serenity and singularity of it all calmed him. Town life was boring from time to time and it was hard to escape when he found himself stuck on an island. Maine didn’t sound any better to Johnny as he stretches his arms towards the sky.

Johnny: About fucking time that for once, I don’t need to listen to an old hag drag on about retiring and how her grandson started to talk. Hurry up and die already!

Johnny looks around, there was no one to laugh at his joke but it didn’t seem to mind him. Perching his head down to gaze at the gleaming water, it almost seemed too tempting not to jump. Anyways, not jumping was for pussies or women. The water was the one place where everything could be tuned out. And with that, Johnny takes a deep inhale before leaping off the cliff.

Johnny: WOOOOO!

There was a brief pause before his body collided with the water, submerging flesh with liquid as it became one. The sheer cold had little effect on him, tingling into his skin as he closes his eyes. His long hair danced around in the water, becoming a uniform synchronized motion as he sinks further and further towards the sea floor. Johnny began to kick his legs, swimming towards the top to breathe. As his head emerged from the water, the tiny waves around him splash around.

It was not long before Johnny began to cover his mouth in horror, letting out a sound of disgust as the smell of rotten flesh circles around him. Johnny’s head begins to pound, the smell slamming against his brain as he looks around to see what is causing the smell. Quickly, Johnny feels something graze against the skin on his back, flipping around to see a dead bird carcass floating around in the water. Johnny thrashes away from it, desperately trying to get back to land. The tide begins to grow stronger as it pulls Johnny more and more away from the rocky shore. Johnny looks around, having lost sight of the bird corpse, he now swiftly throws his arms into the water, slowly making it back to land. As he begins to drag his body out of the water, he lays down on the shore, the rocks lightly stabbing against his body and he looks up at the sky.
Johnny: How the fuck did that thing get there…

Johnny raises his head to scan the sea, seeing the bird corpse once more along with several other bird bodies floating around with it.

Johnny: Where the fuck is P.E.T.A. when you need them.

Inch by inch, Johnny now looks towards the mainland. The fog seems to be gone.

-END SCENE-

Kimmie: I have a list of the witnesses you need to tomorrow's case?
Ofelia: Thank you very much, have they all been prepped?
Kimmie: The second one shouldn’t be put on the stand unless we have no other option but to place doubt in the judge’s mind.
Ofelia: What about Number 4? He seems to have a drinking problem, why would you let him go up there?
Kimmie: He is a credible alibi for her case…
Ofelia: The prosecution will argue that the man’s words cannot be trusted. He may have been drunk at the time of the incident. Will he be able to clearly state that he saw our client?
Kimmie: Well…
Ofelia: It’s too big of a risk. I’d like you to edit this again and redraft a new paper on my desk by closing time.
Kimmie: Did I do something wrong? How can I learn better for next time...
Ofelia: Try not to be so perfect

Kimmie pauses in her questioning. The law firm that day had barely any people working in it, and yet she found herself making every stupid mistake she could. She leans on the desk to her right, clenching her fist in frustration.

Kimmie: I’m not trying to be-
Ofelia: You’re twenty. The Lawyer Internship program you’re in was meant to test every part of what you already know.
Kimmie: You make me feel like I know nothing…
Ofelia: Lawyers are never meant to be perfect, but we get the job done.
Kimmie: Maybe I shouldn’t go to law school!
Ofelia: You did do one thing right today!
Kimmie: What was it?!
Ofelia: You brought be decaf instead of black which was why I wasn’t in a terrible mood yesterday!

Kimmie sighs, feeling worthless in this moment.

Kimmie: Why are we even defending her? Do you know what it takes for someone to be a drug dealer?

Ofelia halts her action, looking Kimmie right in the eye as she crosses her arms. She raises an eyebrow as she examines Kimmie’s face.

Ofelia: With respect, not everyone had such a privileged upbringing like yourself Miss King. Lucille Li is a bright, respectable young woman who didn’t have the same opportunities as you in life. We all come from different circumstances, myself included. If you already feel such way about our client, I might have to ask yourself to leave this case.
Kimmie: No! I didn’t mean it like that. I’m just not used to getting all this feedback. I always got perfect grades in school…
Ofelia: I’m glad you know a textbook inside and out Kimmie, but grades are just rewards for filling in multiple choice questions about theoreticals. This is the reality. Nothing is black and white, but you must always see the good in people.

Kimmie nods her head in agreeance, somewhat understanding Ofelia in what she was trying to say. Kimmie picks up the report and proceeds to file off towards her desk.

Ofelia: Learning is all about facing new challenges that you don’t expect to see coming!

-END SCENE-

A busy cross-section in the middle of the town holds people traveling in all directions. Two girls and a man pass by as they look around at the surrounding buildings, marveling at the old architecture of the island.
Brian: The buildings are so unique…
Victoria: Can we hurry up and go to the courthouse?
Brian: That isn’t for another two days Victoria, just enjoy the free time that we have to explore the island.
Alexa: Everything is so magical here!
Victoria: I didn’t come here to play ISpy. I came here to watch an actual court case.
Alexa: Just relax! There are not many places like this in the world.
Victoria: And I’ll eventually explore an island like this in 80 years when I’m about to retire because this is the place where you send old people to die! I want to watch REAL lawyers to portray an actual person for my final exam.
Brian: You need to calm down, we’re here to have fun for now.
Alexa: We can worry about acting later!

Victoria stops in her tracks, taking in the scenery around her with a look of disgust.

Victoria: I’m not trying to be that bitch, but I came to be a better actor, and quite frankly Alexa, I don’t even think you should be an actor at all.
Alexa: Victoria…
Brian: Can we just get along for a few hours?
Victoria: Perhaps it’s time to do something else with your life Alexa. By the time I was 18, I was the head of my school’s photography club, lead actress in the school play and musical, and accepted to one of the best Art Colleges in the country.
Alexa: I literally just graduated, I just didn’t want my adolescence to be consumed with work. You need to enjoy things with your life!
Victoria: I know how to enjoy the simple things, but I know you have to work hard to get them!
Alexa: Not everyone has to as successful as you! Everyone has some value for what they’ve already accomplished!
Brian: Exactly Alexa! There’s no need to be in competition with each other.

Victoria flips her hair, beginning to feel frustrated.

Victoria: Not everyone can live such a cookie cutter life where everything is good for them. Sometimes you have to make something for yourself if you want people to respect you.
Brian: You should already have respect for yourself regardless of what you’ve achieved.
Victoria: Well Brian, I hope to have achieved more by the time I’m 26 than you have.
Alexa: Victoria! Can you show any kind of kindness to anyone?
Victoria laughs as Alexa and Brian stare at her in amazement. Alexa takes out an Advil as she pops it into her mouth, trying to get rid of her headache which Victoria seems to be the root of.

Victoria: My kindness needs to be earned.
Alexa: My kindness is given unconditionally.
Victoria: Well thank you, Saint Teresa!
Brian: OKAY! And with that, we’re going to continue walking and perhaps the two of you will just shut up for a few minutes? Thank you for both showing kindness to me!
Victoria: Fine by me.

Victoria looks over at Alexa, raising an eyebrow as she continues to walk. Alexa lets out a deep exhale as the three of them proceed down the sidewalk, further into the crowd of people.

-END SCENE-

A woman passes through a busy corridor as people scream and run around her. Carrying several books in her hands, she holds them closely as she continues to step cautiously down the hall.

???: Why are there so many people here?

Arriving at the front desk, she sets the books down on the counter as she rings the bell for some assistance. One of the books briefly reads, “Witchcraft Grimoire”. The girl notices a very small drop of blood on the ground next to her as she begins to look around.

Speaker System: All beds in section three are now filled. Please bring all critical status patients towards section four. WEAR A FACE MASK AT ALL TIMES WHEN DEALING WITH THEM.

The girl adjusts her glasses, the side of her lens having an engraving revealing her name.

Elspeth: Critical patients? W-

Out of nowhere, a man slams into her, knocking Elspeth and himself onto the ground. He quickly gets back up as begins to walk again.
???: Please watch yourself! The hospital is quite crowded today.
Elspeth: What is going on?
???: We’re not quite sure. Nurses are always the last to know about anything here.

Elspeth briefly catches his name tag, reading “Ashton Everton.”

Elspeth: I brought some books to donate to the charity event next week.
Ashton: I don’t really have time to take care of them right now, but you can just leave. We’ll eventually get to it.

Ashton hears the sound of his pager as he rushes off into another direction, hearing the screaming of a woman’s voice.

Elspeth quickly retraces her steps to the exit doors of the hospital. Laying on the ground is an unconscious man. She slowly approached him and lets out her hand to see if he is alive.

Suddenly, Elspeth feels an arm on her shoulder swing her body around.

Ashton: Don’t touch anyone!
Elspeth: I’m sorry!

Elspeth rushes out of the hospital, tearing up at the thought of doing something wrong. Now she was alone and started to become calm again.

Elspeth: Ugh! I hate people in small spaces!

-End Scene-

Waves smash against the old wooden planks which hold the ferry together, trying to evade the machine from reaching the island. Looking out at the horizon, a woman watches the sun begin to set. From far away, the island looks gloomy and full of despair, there were no welcoming signs indicating any good nature of the sorts.

???: You know what you’re here to do.

She looks down at a piece of paper, showing the image of another woman’s face. She folds it delicately before placing it in her pocket. The gusts of wind throw her hair to one side of her face, revealing the chestnut brown locks and freckles which cover her face. Beside her, an old man coughs and spits out mucus. She slowly heads to the rear of the boat.

Taking out her name tag, Leah places it on her shirt and ties her hair into a ponytail.

-A FEW MINUTES LATER-

Ferry Captain: WELCOME TO SANDEYRNE ISLAND!

Leah begins to step off the ferry and onto a gravel path. Around her, people begin to embark on their own journey’s as she sees a man selling newspapers in the distance. Leah picks up her bag and begins to walk towards the man.

Leah: Excuse me, do you know where I can find Ofelia Sanchez?

-END SCENE-

-AT AN UNKNOWN TIME-

A man is seen walking through a prison hallway, leading into a sprawled open visiting area. Mac quickly looks around the room, identifying all the other female prisoners before making his way towards one of the chairs connected to a glass wall.

Slowly, Mac picks up a small landline attached to the glass wall. He looks through the dirty glass to the other side. His eyes remaining fixated on someone.

Mac: It’s been a while.

Mac leans back in his chair, tilting his head with curiosity and examining the other person. On the other side of the glass wall, a young woman sits in her chair, looking unhappy as ever. She picks up the phone with a disgusted look on her face.

Lucille: What do you want?

Episode Six: "Abduction"

A long hallway is revealed as passing cops and clerks scurry by. Towards the end of the hallway, various interrogation rooms are seen as Violet sits in one of them. The door opens as someone walks in and Violet continues to stare at the floor. Henry slowly puts down several pictures of Angel’s murdered body on the table, along with several images of Adore’s decomposing body.

Henry: Do you recognize these people in the pictures?

Violet remains quiet, taking one of the pictures on Angel in her hand. Her mind momentarily returns to the day of the Fall Festival as she remembers discovering Angel’s corpse. Blood is seen stained into Angel’s clothing as Violet lets out a scream from finding a murdered Angel.

Violet: Adore and…. Angel.

Henry gives an empathetic look towards Violet, seeing the young girl in distress. He quickly shakes it off at the thought of seeming weak and continues his questioning.

Henry: You were the last person seen to have spoken with Angel before she was discovered to be murdered.
Violet: (Letting out a deep sigh) Sh- She… went to the bathroom, and then…
Henry: Do you know of any reason for someone to want have hurt Angel?

Violet shakes her quickly as she wipes away the appearing tears from her eyes. She voice shakes as she goes to answer.

Violet: It’s hard to make friends in this town. For a long time, I didn’t have any. Angel was there for me when it felt like I was all alone. Angel always took care of people when they were at their most vulnerable. I don’t… I don’t know…
Henry: Did you see anything suspicious that day at the festival?
Violet: It was supposed to be a happy day, but it felt like everyone was fighting. I don’t know why they can’t…

Henry nods, taking back the images and putting them in an envelope. He makes his way to the door and turns to observe Violet who sits in the chair, looking almost unphased or trying to not remember what she had seen.

Henry: Thank you for helping us. You are free to leave now. We currently have no reason to suspect you for the murder. We weren’t able to find any family members of Angel’s and many people referenced you as a close friend.

Henry pauses for a moment before exiting out of the room. Deserting Violet, he takes out his phone and goes to text Bailey, typing out the phrase “Are you doing okay?” Henry moves his thumb towards the send button. He lets out a quick sigh and deletes the text.

-End Scene-

Loud steps are heard as an unknown person can be seen walking down a flight of stairs. The click of a button illuminates the room as Carlisle is revealed to be descending to the bottom of Tisha’s basement. He leans against the wall and looks towards the corner of the room. Arlene lays curled in a ball as she dangles and plays with one of Carlisle’s knives.

Carlisle: I thought you might be down here.
Arlene: I just needed to be alone.
Carlisle: Do you want me to leave then?
Arlene: Only if you want to.

There’s a pause for a second as Arlene puts down the knife.

Arlene: Actually no, I don’t want you to leave.
Carlisle: Why are you down here?
Arlene: I didn’t want anyone to see me like this.
Carlisle: Vulnerable?

Arlene bites on her lip, sliding the knife over to Carlisle and looking into his eyes. She then looks back down at the ground.

Arlene: Weak.
Carlisle: This is where we were reunited, do you remember?
Arlene: I could never forget it. This room is almost like a home for me.
Carlisle: I never stopped looking for you.
Arlene: It only took you about 10 years to find me.
Carlisle: You didn’t make it easy.
Arlene: Well I didn’t want the people who I thought had killed you, to kill me.

Carlisle puts the knife back into his pocket and proceeds to walk closer to Arlene. He looks down at her and crosses his arms.

Carlisle: We need to leave, it would be wise.
Arlene: That’s stupid.
Carlisle: Two people have already been murdered, someone is clearly trying to kill off the Descendants here.
Arlene: I don’t care, these people need us more than ever now.
Carlisle: I understand that, but I’m more worried about you…
Arlene: I’m not just going to abandon these people to survive on their own.
Carlisle: You did that to me.

Arlene shoots a look of disgust towards Carlisle and bolts up. She moves her way towards Carlisle and pushes him against the wall.

Arlene: You told me to leave you, and don’t you dare ever bring that up again!
Carlisle: You could have stayed.
Arlene: We could have both died then!
Carlisle: That’s what I’m trying to point out about this situation!
Arlene: This is different.
Carlisle: We need to leave NOW!

Arlene lets out a bloodcurdling scream and slams her fist into the wall, hitting t over and over again as Carlisle watches. Tears begin to stream down her face as she relentlessly dents the wall

Carlisle: Stop…

Arlene continues as Carlisle quickly moves to try and calm her down.

Carlisle: I SAID STOP!

Arlene turns and pushes Carlisle onto the ground. She begins to yell at him, unaware of how emotional she is getting.

Arlene: I left you once, and look what happened to us! I’m not going to leave anyone else again because it’s better for myself, so don’t you dare fucking tell me what to do. I am not this perfect person, my life is FAR from perfect.

Arlene halts, trying to compose herself and lightly tapping her fist one last time into the wall.

Arlene: I’m not the same as you Carlisle, I can’t do what is best for myself or what is the perfect scenario. I can only do what feels right.

-End Scene-

Tisha: I was on the verge of dying, but for some reason, Katherine saved me.

Crimson sits across from Tisha in her living room, paying attention to Tisha’s body language and deeply pondering what she is saying. The rest of the house is silent as the Descendants take the day off to mourn the loss of Angel. Crimson places her hands formally on her lap and continues to listen.

Tisha: I am a nobody to Katherine… I don’t know why she did it, or what she gains from it.
Crimson: She may have ulterior motives to Esdeath in the grand scheme of things, but I would remain cautious, as she is tightly aligned with her. We must be wary of her. She could be the one who killed Adore and Angel.
Tisha: Nothing's making sense to me…
Crimson: If the world made complete sense, we wouldn’t have problems now would we?

The door to Tisha’s house suddenly opens as Anthony makes his way into the entrance. Fear is seen on Anthony’s face as Crimson and Tisha examine him as he walks closer to them.

Tisha: Are you-
Crimson: What happened?
Anthony: Wh-What do you mean? How do you know something is wrong?
Crimson: I can tell, and you’re one to usually stay out of the way.

Anthony shuffles his way to Crimson, an expression of guilt appearing on his face as he sits down beside her.

Anthony: It’s so complicated… and part of me thinks I shouldn’t tell you.
Crimson: You came all this way, so your mind is already made up.
Tisha: We’ll understand Anthony…

Anthony takes a deep inhale, biting the inside of his cheek as he contemplates how to word his thoughts. His foot lightly taps against the wooden floor revealing a certain openness to Crimson who pays close attention to him.

Anthony: It was all Michael, he did it.
Tisha: What did he do?
Anthony: He attacked Samuel…
Tisha: Samuel is safe now, we moved him to an upstairs room to recover from the attack.
Anthony: Michael is so unpredictable… I can’t control him.
Crimson: He’s acting out of emotion and not thinking logically.
Anthony: It’s not just that, he was willing to kill Samuel as payback for me…
Tisha: I don’t understand what you’re trying to say…
Anthony: I think he may…

Anthony pauses, unsure if she should continue.

Anthony: I think he may have killed Adore and Angel.

-End Scene-

Bailey and Chandler walk down a cement road with a quiet Violet who closely follows from behind. Violet notices a small stain of blood on her wrist, having probably missed it when she had tried to rinse the blood off. Bailey and Chandler laugh and smile, turning to look back at a lonely Violet. The two slow down to walk beside Violet and offer their sympathies.

Bailey: I hope you enjoy yourself at Alison’s, it’s good to take your mind off things that are bugging you sometimes.
Chandler: We’ve all been where you are at some point, we’re here for you if you need anything.
Violet: I’m just trying to cope…

Bailey and Chandler stop to give Violet a hug.

Bailey: I know things have been hard since Jenni left.
Chandler: Screw her for ditching you!
Violet: I understand why she did it, but I don’t think it was right…
Bailey: She basically left you to deal with the aftermath of the consequences of all the shit that’s gone on.
Violet: I just don’t really want to think about it.
Chandler: Well we’re almost at Alison’s, and I hope you both become good friends with her like I have. I think she’ll be a really good influence on lots of people.

Suddenly, Chandler and Bailey halt and stare off into the distance and Violet stands confused behind them. Gazing off, Violet notices Alison’s house and sees her talking to a strange man on her porch. The man then turns to leave as Alison waves goodbye to him. The man opens the door to his cars and swiftly drives away as Alison returns to the inside of her house. Violet grabs onto Chandler’s hand, gripping it tightly as her breathing rate increases.

Chandler: What’s wrong?
Violet: That… That guy…
Bailey: You need to sit down.

Bailey motions Violet to sit down on the curb of cement pathway, letting her regain her composure and putting an arm on her shoulder.

Violet: That guy is from the Ferris Institute.

-End Scene-

Walking down a busy street, cars rush by as Sabrina travels to the local bar. Recently, she had taken more of a secluded role within the Descendants, and much of her presence was not being seen anymore. People were leaving her to fend on her own, and now Sabrina was trying to deal with her new found independence. Much of Sabrina’s life has slowed down, giving her much time for reflection and thought of where her life could go. The echoes of Alison’s words float around in Sabrina’s mind. “Your path leads in a new direction…”

Sabrina suddenly snaps back to reality and she walks right into someone during her deep thinking. As the two collide, Sabrina recoils backward as her skin begins to turn cold. Mac stands before her, rubbing his arm where Sabrina ran into him.

Mac: Um, hi…
Sabrina: Sorry about that…

Sabrina quickly moves around him and continues walking, trying to put Mac out of her mind.

Mac: How have you been?

Sabrina halts, clenching her fists and turns with a small smile on her face to hide her frustration.

Sabrina: Other than having to reevaluate my life, I’m doing decent.

Mac takes a huge gulp as the awkward tension around them mounts. Mac slides his hands into his jean pockets as Sabrina tried to look away from him. Mac slowly nods while trying to remain cordial.

Mac: I hope you’re able to move along, I think it will be good for you.
Sabrina: I’m trying, It’s just hard when we both live in a small town…
Mac: I get it. Well anyways, I’m meeting up with some people so I should probably get on my way…
Sabrina: Have fun…

Sabrina then turns and quickly rushes away as Mac rubs his head. Had he handled Sabrina in a good fashion, or would he regret how they had ended their relationship? Mac had no way of knowing, only using his feelings as a way to guide his path in life. Unknown to him, across the street within a small restaurant, Alexis watches and ponders over what Sabrina and Mac were saying to one another.

-End Scene-

Bailey enters into her house, all the lights turned off as she sneaks into her kitchen to grab a bottle of water. A light quickly turns on as Henry lies sitting in the living room. Bailey sips on her water and slowly makes her way over to Henry.

Henry: Where were you?
Bailey: I was going to a friends house, but we decided to not go after something came up.
Henry: You never told me that you were leaving today.
Bailey: I didn’t kn-
Henry: Shut the fuck up and listen for once!
Bailey: I don’t need to tell you everything master!
Henry: There is a fucking murderer on the loose, and your shitty idea’s of frolicking over to your friend's house in plain darkness is about the most idiotic thing I think you’ve ever done since I’ve gotten to New Haven!
Bailey: I’ve survived long enough without you.
Henry: From the looks of it, you haven’t achieved much.
Bailey: Fuck you!
Henry: You don’t leave this house ever again unless you have my permission.
Bailey: Or what? You can’t do anything to me!

Henry menacingly stands and walks towards Bailey, smacking the water bottle out of her hand and crashes into the floor, beginning to leak onto the hardwood floor.

Henry: Do not fucking test me!
Bailey: You’re almost acting like Dad does…

Instantly, Henry pushes Bailey onto the ground, moving past her to get upstairs and into his bedroom.

Henry: Clean up the mess before you go to bed.

Bailey lays on the floor as the puddle of water gets bigger, beginning to touch her hand. Bailey looks down towards the bottle, picking it up and clenching it. She then throws the bottle towards the kitchen and grabs a cloth to wipe up the water.

-End Scene-

The clock strikes midnight as Cas and Daniela are seen alone in a business cubicle. Only the ticking of a clock can be heard as a few key lights remain turned on around them. Daniela reveals countless pictures of Adore and Angel’s dead bodies, many of them revealing odd symbols on their corpses. Cas clicks her pen and writes an unknown note on one of the images.

Cas: We need more to prove what we know.

Cas reveals the pictures of Samuel as he stands levitating in the interior of the tornado. Daniela sits down in a chair and picks at a scab on her skin. On a small sticky note, she doodles with many flowers and stars and while paying attention to Cas.

Daniela: It’s hard enough when many people in this town seem to be a freak like that guy.

Daniela points towards Samuel’s picture.

Cas: These symbols on their bodies must mean something, and then we will know who these people are.
Daniela: We could go to the police right with this evidence and get a warrant to search some of their houses.
Cas: The boy in this picture hasn’t been seen since the day of the tornado, does that seem odd to you?
Daniela: He probably skipped town.
Cas: Or he’s hiding right in plain sight. These people need to be exposed for the threats they are. If one can create a tornado and almost decimate a small town, image what a group or army could do!
Daniela: Maybe we could just confront them? They can’t kill us in the open.
Cas: I won’t take that chance.

Cas begins to pick up the photos individually, placing them in a bag. Daniela stands, returning her pen to Cas.

Daniela: We have to m-

Before Daniela is able to complete her sentence, the lights to the room cut out as a loud noise is heard. An unknown scream is heard as a voice is heard echoing in the wind. A choking noise is heard as violent sounds engulf the room. A giant thud is heard as the lights suddenly turn back on. The cubicle table is seen flipped over as paper lies scattered all over the floor. A gasping sound is heard as Daniela is seen lying on the floor with her neck sliced open. Blood floods out as she tries to reach for a phone. Daniela ultimately collapses as blood from her neck flows out. The remains of     Cas are nowhere to seen, almost appearing as if her body has vanished.

-End Scene-

Mac enters into a restaurant, making his way over to a table where Kate, Peyton, and Alexis all sit. Alexis looks somewhat uncomfortable but puts on a fake smile to please everyone. Kate and Peyton remain somewhat intimate across the table and giggle and laugh with one another.

Mac: Sorry I’m late, just catching up with someone.
Alexis: Yes, I saw it happening across the street.

Mac goes silent, looking down at his menu while Alexis takes a sip of her wine.

Alexis: This double date was a good idea, Kate, thanks for suggesting that we do it!
Kate: Well it’s just another reason for Peypey and me to go out!

Alexis and Mac look at each other strangely.

Alexis: Peypey?
Kate: That’s my nickname for Peyton!
Peyton: It’s not the most original one, but I think it’s cute!

Kate and Peyton gently kiss as Alexis and Mac watch awkwardly. The two start to make out as Alexis coughs.

Alexis: So… why did you come to New Haven Kate?
Kate: Long story short, I wanted to be with my brother and some random person wrote me a letter.
Alexis: That’s ominous, who wrote the letter?
Kate: I never found out, but I don’t really care anymore!
Peyton: I’ve lived here all my life, and I’m so happy that someone did write for you to come, or I would never have met you…
Mac: Well I can say that Kate has been more open with people ever since you’ve entered her life, Peyton.
Kate: I’ve been open in more ways than one if you know what I mean.

She winks over at Peyton, the two bursting out into laughter at her joke while Mac and Alexis remain quiet.

Kate: How are you two doing?
Alexis: We’re d-
Mac: We’re doing fine, everything is good.
Kate: But they aren’t great?
Mac: Kate…
Kate: I’m just kidding, jeez…
Peyton: Are you guys ready to order?
Alexis: I’m not really feeling that hungry anymore. I think I’ll go use the bathroom if you don’t mind.

Alexis gets up to leave as Mac rubs his arm on his head from an appearing migraine.

Kate: Not so long ago, I can’t say that Sabrina did the exact same thing to you when we were in a coffee shop.

Peyton grins as he goes to close his menu.

Mac: Really Kate?
Kate: I’m just having fun with you Mac, whatever happened to your sense of humor?
Mac: It’s fine, I’ve just had a long day.

Kate and Peyton turn to talk to one another as Mac sits alone for the moment. He lets out a deep exhale as he ponders over his life, his current happiness and his encounter with Sabrina. Even when the two were finished, a part of him couldn’t stop to think about her, even just for a second.

-End Scene-

Inside a dimly lit house, Wendy stands in a white cape as rain crashes down from outside the house. The crackling of thunder and lightning can be heard as it coincides with when Wendy begins to speak.

Wendy: It’s to avenge Adore.
Brittany: And Angel too now.
Wendy: These charades have gone on long enough, it’s time to step up to the plate.
Brittany: No more drama, it’s time to find a murderer.
Wendy: We’ve wasted so much time fighting and thinking about if our lives even mean something while people are being stabbed left and right!

Brittany looks over to the other side of the room.

Brittany: Do you have anything yet Skai?
Skai: You guys won’t believe this, but Angel’s body has a similar marking on it to the one that Adore had. The symbol on her body that was carved in with a knife is Norse.
Wendy: What does it mean?
Skai: That’s the funny thing, it only means one thing.

Skai moves over with a book borrowed from Crimson and reveals to Wendy and Brittany a picture of the symbol. She then shows a picture of Angel’s body and shows the identical symbol.

Wendy: What is it?
Skai: It’s a Norse symbol for the word “Holy”.
Brittany: Angel was a Holy Descendant
Skai: Adore has a Norse symbol for “Fire” or her corpse.
Wendy: How does this help us?

The crackle of lightning grows stronger as the rain penetrates the exterior of the house with more intensity. Skai now places a picture of Adore and Angel’s body on a bed.

Skai: Whoever killed them knew what type of Descendant they were. That means that whoever did it has a direct tie to the Descendants group, or they already know about the world of Descendants and our lives are in much greater peril than we thought.

-End Scene-

Sabrina covers her face as the rain begins to come in contact with her face. Car rush by her as she makes her way towards her house. As she walks, she remembers her contact with Mac and how it felt to see him. Deep inside of Sabrina, a part of her wishes that the two of them could remain friends after everything that has happened between them. She knew it would be difficult, but she was willing to make a sacrifice to have someone she cared about in her life. Within a second, Sabrina lets out a horrifying screech as her body is slammed the cold hard pavement. Slamming her head into the ground, a part of her head leaks out blood from the collision as an unknown figure tries to grab hold of her. The figure puts its hands around her neck, strangling her. A bolt of lighting dashes through the air, and seconds later, Sabrina is nowhere to be seen.

Episode Five: "The Fall Festival"

A gust of wind flies by as leaves scatter across the ground. The echoes of laughter can be heard as pumpkins and scarecrows are seen around the center of New Haven. A banner rises above the ground reading, “New Haven’s 27th Annual Fall Festival” which glows of orange and brown colors. Making their way towards the festival, Briana skips along as Brittany slowly paces on behind her. Briana carries a small shopping bag while judging other people as they walk on by her. “Birkenstocks are not in this season” grunts Briana, disgusted by a certain person in the crowd of people who enter into the festival. Brittany doesn’t say anything, otherwise keeping quiet to herself and just simply following Briana. “Apparently, there’s a clothing store near the festival which has fabulous sales on right now!” exclaims Briana, ready to get the new fall edition of clothing which she’s desperately wanted. Briana glances back to Brittany, seeing her sister saying nothing and minding her own business. “What’s wrong with you?” asks Briana, turning to confront her sister. “You’ve said nothing all day, it’s like you don’t care about me.” Brittany blankly stares at Briana, placing her hands on her own head from the stress and frustration of the past days. Briana rolls her eyes, “Oh please don’t tell me you’re still hung up on Adore, she’s dead, get over it.” Briana begins to start walking again, “It’s better now that she’s dead, we can focus on more important things!” After a sudden moment, Brittany looks up at Briana. “You’re the problem.” Briana freezes in her tracks, turning to face Brittany once more and tilting her head. “What did you say?” asks Briana, thinking she didn’t hear properly what her sister had said. “My friend just died and you’re telling me to get over it?!” replies Brittany, taking a step towards her sister. Briana crosses her arms, “I can’t take this anymore, you’re going to have to choose me or Adore because you clearly can’t have both of us in your life.” Brittany gives Briana a strange look, a small smile appearing on her face before she bursts into laughter. Briana watches as her sister laughs in her face. “That’s just it, you only ever think about yourself and I'm done giving two shits about you!” addresses Brittany, walking up to her sister. “Have fun shopping alone” mocks Brittany, walking past her sister and into the fall festival.

Tisha, Bailey, Sabrina and Chandler all make their way into the festival as masses of people surround them from all corners. Following closely behind them, Arlene and Carlisle walk side by side while Trinity and Kodi move from behind them. Tori appears by herself as she watches Tisha, walking up to her and saying, “You shouldn’t be here.” Tisha lets out a giant sigh, “I’m fine, I’ve stopped having my seizures.” Tori looks at Tisha, “You don’t just stop having seizures, maybe you could just-” Tisha turns towards Tori, “No, I don’t need your help! Go make some friends or something.” Tori pauses, letting Tisha go. Kodi and Trinity watch the exchange, walking over to Tori once she is alone. “What was that about?” asks Trinity, looking at Tisha who now walks away, further into the festival. “I don’t think Tisha is safe here” answers Tori, clenching her fists. Kodi plays with her hair, trying not to pay attention to the problems of others for the day. “Let’s just have fun today” adds Kodi, tugging Trinity to follow her into the festival. Trinity sighs, giving a pitying look to Tori before passing by her and leaving Tori alone once again.

“She was right here” points Evan, his hand stretching out across his paved front yard, a small bush just to the left-hand side. Henry steps by Evan, looking into the bush, only to find nothing. “You said she left this?” asks Henry, holding up the small purse which was left behind. Evan nods, remembering she had it the night before. “What was her name again?” questions Henry, looking around the outside of Evan’s house for any signs of an intruder. “Cali Parker” answers Evan, thinking back to yesterday when he heard her screaming from the inside of his house. There had been no warning, it happened sudden and quick enough for her to have vanished within a few seconds. Henry sighs, walking back over to Evan once his scan of the yard was finished, staring into his eyes. “There appear to be no signs of any struggle, or any evidence of someone on your property” explains Henry, giving him a look of disappointment. “I know what I heard” replies Evan, looking at the ground where he found Cali’s bag. “And you said she was a whore?” asks Henry, writing something down on a small notebook. Evan shrugs, “Well I said stripper…” Henry gives a courteous smile, “Same thing.” Henry begins to walk away from Evan’s house, “I’ll keep you posted if anything comes to light, but I’m afraid I can’t do much at the moment.” Evan watches as Henry departs, making his way back into his house. Evan stands at his entrance, gazing into his kitchen and staring at the plant which Kate has once touched.

Kate and Peyton make their way into the festival, both of them holding each other's hands as Kate flaunts her way around the area, showing her new “Friend” off to the crowd. Kate grabs onto Peyton’s shoulder, “I’m really scared that Adore’s killer might strike again.” Peyton wraps his arm around Kate, covering her with his warmth as the two turn to kiss each other. “The killer won’t do anything to you if I’m around,” says Peyton, touching Kate’s cheek and stroking it gently. “You make me feel safe” smiles Kate, giving Peyton a hug as the two continue to march forward. “So when are you going to introduce me to your brother?” asks Peyton, glancing over at Kate. Biting her lip, Kate looks away. “I wouldn’t want him to get jealous of us” begins Kate. “He’s occupied right now with other problems so I wouldn’t want to spring anything new into him.” Kate pauses for a moment, seeing Alexis and Mac pass by them without notice, both of appearing to be in love and Kate watches from a distance. “It would be nice to meet him-” starts Evan before Kate kisses him again, distracting him from their previous conversation. “I think you and I are more important than meeting my brother” whispers Kate, biting on Peyton’s ear as the two begin to make out.

Tisha comes to an immediate stop, her heart beginning to beat fast as she dashes into a nearby festival tent. Bailey, Sabrina, and Chandler follow closely in confusion as Tisha turns around to face them, her face dripping wet from sweat. “Are you okay?” asks Sabrina, taking a step towards Tisha. Holding out her hand, Tisha motions them away from her, “Stay back…” Blood begins to drip out of Bailey’s eye as the three girls now all step towards Tisha. “Don’t be scared…” cackles Bailey, “We’re here to help you.” Chandler's skin begins to peel off her body as she holds out a hand to Tisha, “We won’t hurt you…” Another person enters into the tent, appearing to Tisha as Jenni who holds a maniacal grin on her face. “But I will…” whispers Jenni as the lights from within the tent go out, making the room go dark as Chandler now sprints towards Tisha, biting into her flesh and ripping it off her, revealing the bones of her body. Jenni’s cackle is heard as Tisha lays still on the floor, a clock floating in the sky appearing before her. The clock counts down from 10 seconds, whispering to her, “Your death is coming soon. As the clock ticks down, the reality of the situation unfolds outside of Tisha’s head as she lays on the floor, shaking violently as her three friends try to help her. Tisha begins to cough up blood, spitting it onto Sabrina who tries to wake her up. “Nothing’s working” shrieks Bailey, trying to hold Tisha still. “What’s happening to her?” mumbles Chandler, watching in agony. Suddenly, a cloaked person appears from the shadows, revealing what appears to be a small dagger as it makes its way towards Tisha’s body. “It’s Esdeath!” screeches Sabrina, standing up and charging towards the figure. The figure dodges, hitting Sabrina in the back of her head and knocking her unconscious as Bailey and Chandler now stand as well. The figure dashes by the two, appearing behind them as she pushes them against the wall, slamming their bodies into one another's. As Chandler and Bailey now also lay helplessly on the ground, the figure reveals the blade, kneeling beside the flailing Tisha and stabbing it into her heart. A small gasp comes from Tisha’s body before her body goes still. For a moment, all is calm. Tisha rapidly starts breathing again as her eyes slowly open. The figure takes off its headpiece, revealing her luscious hair and sinister smile. Tisha faintly says, “K-Katherine…?” Katherine stands back up, winking at Tisha before saying, “You owe me now” before disappearing once more into the shadows.

Alexis and Mac tour around the festivities, glimpsing over at Arlene and Carlisle who sit beside each other, cutting deep inside pumpkins as they carve out their faces. “Those two sure have come a long way” points out Mac, watching them as the Giles sibling smile at one another. Alexis nods, holding her hands close to her body with a nervous look on her face. “Am I pretty Mac?” asks Alexis, looking down at the ground. Mac turns to face her, “What do you mean?” Alexis shrugs, shaking her head as she explains, “I don’t know, I just mean why do you like me?” Mac smiles, grabbing her hand and turning her face to look at his. “I love you for who you are, not for what you look like.” Alexis’ face reddens, a small smirk appearing on her face as she begins to talk, “Sorry for asking, I guess I just need to hear it from other people sometimes before I-” Alexis continues to ramble on as Mac shifts his head, looking over as he sees Sabrina in the distance, appearing out of one of the festival tents with Tisha, Chandler, and Bailey beside her. It has been a long time since he had observed Sabrina, long since he first got close to her, back once they had barely any control of their powers. “She’s still pretty,” thinks Mac, drifting off to thoughts in his mind as Alexis continue to speak.

“Everyone seems to be getting along” notes Angel, walking beside Violet as the two watch over the multiple groups of people at the Fall Festival. “They need some normality” adds Violet, taking a break from her duties and relaxing for the day. The two don’t speak for a moment, only letting the wind wisp by and the cries of laughter and joy fill the air around them. “I could have left,” says Angel, turning to sit down on a small bench. “I could have left town and gone to that job interview.” Violet tilts her head, “Why didn’t you?” Angel smiles, “It didn’t feel right, after everything.” Violet sits down beside Angel, observing those around them. “We’ve both lost someone close to us, Jenni and Gabriel” confides Angel, thinking back to the time when she first met the boy. “What does that make us?” asks Violet. Angel looks at Violet, “It makes us survivors.” Angel and Violet both stand up, “I’m glad we’ve connected” admits Angel, blinking at Violet. Violet exhales deeply, taking a step back and grinning, “I think I need to use the bathroom.” Angel smiles, letting Violet pass by her. Angel stops Violet for a second, “I’m not gay” she whispers before letting her go, leaving Violet confused as she tries to process what just happened.

Crimson walks alone in Tisha’s house, trying to recall past events which have taken place. “I’ve come so far,” thinks Crimson, looking back to when she had been ostracized from the group. A small crash is heard from the living room as Crimson rushes inside the room, thinking it to be the one who attacked Samuel. A small squeak is heard as Skai is seen, poking around Tisha’s house. Skai’s face turns red, realizing that she’s caught. Crimson gives her a stern look, approaching her and asking, “What are you doing here?” Skai bites her lip, looking up at the roof of the room before revealing a small picture along with a book. Crimson takes hold of the picture, inspecting it as her eyes widen. “Why do you have this?” questions Crimson, shocked to see a picture of Adore’s dead body. “I was just trying to figure out who killed her…” murmurs Skai, looking down at the floor in sadness from being caught. Skai opens her book, turning to a certain page as norse words fill the pages. Crimson stares at the book, reading it carefully before returning the book and picture of Adore’s body to Skai. “I don’t understand…” says Crimson, confused at the importance of Skai’s discovery. Skai looks up at Crimson, “The symbol on Adore dead body, it’s the norse word for Fire.”

Anthony opens the door to his house, looking at his brother Michael who collapses onto the floor, blood staining his clothing. Michael is barely able to stay awake, struggling to stand up. Anthony rushes over, helping his brother stand as he sets him on a nearby couch. “What the fuck happened to you!?” screams Anthony, running towards the phone to call the police. “NO!” screams Michael, groaning in pain as he tries to halt his brother. Anthony slowly puts down the phone, disconnecting from the first responder's station as he returns to the couch. “Why can’t I call them…?” mumbles Anthony, watching his brother cope in agony. “What happened to you?” he adds, frightened at his brother's injuries. “I went to kill Samuel” replies Michael, closing his eyes and resting. Anthony takes a step back in shock, unsure of how to answer. “B-But…” begins Anthony, unable to finish his sentence. “He almost killed you, so I was just returning the favor” explains Michael. Anthony begins to cry, sitting down on a case of stairs. “So he’s dead…?” cries Anthony, feeling sick in his stomach. Michael sighs, “I was stopped, but it won’t happen next time.” Anthony’s eyes widen, “There won’t be a next time! You don’t just kill people to solve your problems…” Michael laughs, “I didn’t ask for your permission. What you don’t see Anthony is that people need to know what you’re capable of if you’re to survive in this world.” Anthony begins to head to his bedroom, “We’re capable of doing good.”

At the festival, Wendy walks alone, holding her hands in her pockets with sadness on her face. She was all alone once again, and it wasn’t feeling great. Out of nowhere, Cas and Daniela ambush her, surrounding her and holding pictures in her face. Gruesome pictures of Adore’s dead body as displayed, showing the damage to her as Wendy feels nauseous. “Who killed her?” demands Cas, glaring intensely at Wendy. “I don’t know…” mumbles Wendy, trying to move around them. “You weren’t a very good friend then if you didn’t even help her while she was alive” accuses Cas, writing something on a small piece of paper. “I’m sorry for your loss,” says Daniela, having a sense of pity for Wendy. “Where were you the night she was murdered?” questions Cas, holding a small smile. “Well we had a fight, and I-” confesses Wendy, being stopped by Cas who laughs. “So you had a fight, and now she’s dead? Seems suspicious to me…” Wendy shakes her head, “It’s not like that…” Cas takes a step towards Wendy, “A young girl, feeling neglected from the world, kills her friend after having a fight in a fit of rage.” Wendy’s mouth drops, “I didn’t kill her!” A voice is heard in the distance, “Hey!” Brittany runs up to Wendy, standing in front of her and guarding her against Cas, “She doesn’t need to answer your questions bitch!” Cas grins, “I can ask anything I want.” Daniela shrugs her shoulders, “Maybe we should just go…” Cas bites her lip, “No!” Cas’ voice gets louder. “This girl has the perfect story to have killed Adore Laison!” Spectators turn to watch the confrontation unfold, multiple people whispering to each other after hearing the allegations about Wendy. “What’s going on?” asks Sabrina, walking into the conflict with Bailey and Chandler who stand beside Tisha, on their way out of the festival to left Tisha rest. “This doesn’t concern you,” says Cas. Sabrina smiles at Cas, “It concerns me when you’re berating teenagers.” The group soon start yelling at each other, a verbal attack against every member soon begins. Cas points her fingers at Sabrina while Daniela stands in embarrassment. Wendy hugs Brittany. “I’m sorry for not being there for you,” says Brittany, putting a hand on Wendy’s shoulder while the chaos ensues. Their fight is silenced as a scream is heard, multiple people looking over at a nearby tent and rushing inside. Cas runs inside, followed closely by Daniela and the others to see Violet crying. There on the floor lies Angel’s dead body. Daniela snaps a picture, looking closely at a symbol which has been cut into Angel’s dead body.

Episode Four: "Reality"

Tisha sits in her living room, a small tv flashing on as she watches a tv reporter. Tisha’s frizzled hair gives her a messy appearance as if she just woke up. Tisha sips on a cup of tea, feeling the warmth of the cup as she stares at the screen. “The investigation into the murder of Adore Laison is still underway. Authorities have been unable to find any suspect or witness in the case so far” blares the reporter on the tv, behind him a small marked off area where Adore’s body was found. A week had passed, but it felt like only yesterday that Adore was in Tisha’s house. Tisha remembers the phone call to her house, the moment an anonymous person had reported in Adore’s dead body. Wendy had secluded herself for the past few days, isolating herself from the pain and regret she felt. “She’s been through worse…” thinks Tisha, knowing that Wendy will be able to overcome the loss of her friend. The front door to Tisha house opens, Kodi comes walking in while brushing her hair to the side. “So do we like have a lesson today or is it cancelled?” asks Kodi, placing a hand on her hip. “Lessons will resume next week after everyone can mourn Adore” answers Tisha, placing her tea on a small table. “Thank god…” whispers Kodi, not wanting to work today. Trinity pokes her head inside the house, “So can we go or are there lessons?” Kodi motions Trinity to leave, Kodi about to exit the house as well before a thud is heard from behind her. Tisha lays on the floor, having another seizure as Kodi and Trinity rush their way in. “Do something!” panics Kodi, never seeing someone in danger of dying. “I don’t know how to use my powers yet…” mumbles Trinity, her face turning red. Inside Tisha’s head, Adore appears out of the tv screen, rushing towards Tisha as she plunges a knife into her body. Adore repeatedly continue to stab Tisha who suffers from the pain as blood pours out around her. “Why couldn’t you save me!” yells Adore, violently hurting Tisha in anger. Tisha’s eyes open once more as she screams, causing Kodi and Trinity to run out of her house.

Elsewhere, the day passes by as Crimson descends down the staircase into her living room. Various Descendants sit around as she enters the middle of the area, looking around her at the sullen and quiet faces around her, all of them saddened by Adore’s death. “Most of you have seen the news I assume” begins Crimson, no one answering her. “We must remain vigilant, the killer is still at large and the cops have almost no evidence.” Kodi and Skai look at each other, Skai’s face appearing pale as she glances back and forth to listen to Crimson. “What do we do now?” asks Kodi, looking at the others around her. “I don’t want to be the next one to die” she adds, biting her lip and crossing her arms in frustration. Crimson holds out her hand, trying to calm Kodi down and keeping the others at bay, “There is no need to panic, we will figure out who killed her.” Mac and Alexis hold each other's hands, gripping tightly as Sabrina stands in the corner, rolling her eyes. “This world is still controlled by humans, we mustn’t be arrogant to think that nothing can touch us” explains Crimson, staring at Kodi. Trinity looks down at her phone, reading a report of Adore’s murder and glimpsing at a picture of her dead body. As people begin to leave, Kodi approaches Crimson. “Do you know what’s going on with Tisha?” Crimson tilts her head at Kodi, “What do you mean?” Kodi shakes her head, “Nevermind…” As Kodi exits the house, Skai stands beside Crimson. “People are scared now,” says Skai, tucking her hands in her pockets. Crimson takes a deep breath, “I know.”

Two figures walk down a narrow hallway as they flash their cards towards a guard. Entering a small concrete room, Cas puts on her glasses as Daniela follows her. “What are we doing down here?” mumbles Daniela, not expecting to be down here on the first day of her new job. Cas slides off a plastic sheet, revealing Adore’s dead body on a metal table. “What do you think that we’re doing in a morgue?” mocks Cas, turning towards Adore’s body. Cas brings her head towards the skin of Adore, looking at the fatal bullet wound in the back of her head. “Poor girl” whispers Daniela, covering her mouth from the sight. Cas inspects Adore’s body, noticing a small marking on her chest. Cas snaps a picture on her camera as Daniela takes a peek. “What is it…?” Cas’ eyes narrow as she stares at the marking, “Whoever killed her left a marking on her body.” Daniela bites her nail as she continues, “So she was shot and then someone carved a marking with a knife into her body?” Cas stares at the symbol, not recognising it. “Perhaps she had a knife enter her body” concludes Cas, looking into her purse as pulling out the picture of Samuel and the tornado.

Brittany hides under her blankets, her eyes red and sore from all the crying. She had just seen Adore and the last conversation she had with her was one of anger. A knock at the bedroom door is heard before Briana enters the room. Briana yanks to curtains open, letting the light into the bedroom and throwing the blankets off Brittany’s bed. “Let’s go, I'm bored of staying in all day!” moans Briana, grabbing Brittany’s arms and trying to get her on her feet. “I don’t want to go out today” murmurs Brittany, rolling onto her side. “Ugh! I wanted to go shopping today and you know I can never go alone…” explains Briana, placing her hands on her hips. “I really just want to be left alone for now Briana…” Sighing, Briana looks at Brittany with pity. “She had it coming to Britt, besides, she was so rude to us yesterday. I’m almost glad that someone got to her before she got to us.” Briana begins to leave the room, “I’ll buy you something to cheer you up.” As the door slams shut, Brittany lays on her bed. A vibration comes from her phone as she gets a text from Wendy. Brittany shuts her phone off, not being able to look at Wendy. “What is happening to me…” cries Brittany, feeling lost and alone. “Adore wanted me to be someone new and Briana wants the old me…” Brittany pushes her face into her pillow, trying to fall back asleep so she doesn't have to think any more of her problems.

Bailey exits out of her bedroom, walking towards her kitchen to make food as she smells the delightfulness of a home cooked meal. Henry appears, pushing the buttons on Bailey’s stove as she discovers an assortment of food on her dinner table. “What’s all this?” asks Bailey, shocked to see homemade food. “It’s my welcome back into the household” replies Henry, pouring some noodles into a strainer. Bailey sits down at the table, beginning to eat as her smile slowly fades. “Why are you back, Henry?” Henry stops, coming over to sit beside her. “I missed you, sis…” Bailey faintly smiles again, “Why are you really back?” Henry looks at the ground, “I lost my house.” Bailey closes her eyes, “Again?” Henry nods his head, standing up and heading over to his backpack. Henry takes out a small piece of paper, holding it in his hands. “The house is technically under my name” addresses Henry, looking at Bailey. “Then I guess I don’t have a choice if you can stay or not.” Henry walks towards Bailey, giving her the piece of paper. “I got transferred here” announces Henry, taking back the piece of paper from Bailey. “So you work here now?” mumbles Bailey, standing to go back to her room. “They put me on the Adore homicide case” confesses Henry, watching Bailey retreat back into her room. “I hope you know what you’re doing... ” says Bailey, closing the door to her room and leaving her brother to himself.

Chandler lets out a sigh of relief as a gasp comes from her bed. Alison’s head stands up as she wakes from her sleep. Chandler covers Alison’s mouth to prevent anybody from hearing them. Chandler slowly takes her hand off Alison’s mouth as the girl frighteningly vibrates. “Where am I?” squeals Alison, looking around the room. “My house” replies Chandler, standing up to get her a glass of water. “What happened to you that night..?” Alison takes a sip of her water, gulping it down as she calms herself. “Sometimes my powers can be unpredictable in ways which I cannot control them” explains Alison, rubbing the wrists. “So you’re a Descendant?” asks Chandler. Alison looks at her in confusion, “What’s a Descendant?” Chandler looks at Alison nervously, “Wait, what are you…?” Alison sighs, “You already know that I am an oracle or a fortune teller as your generation refers to.” Chandler sits beside Alison, “So you aren’t crazy, everything you told us about our destinies will come true?” Alison doesn’t answer for a moment, thinking for a moment before saying, “Your courses a planned, but different paths can be made.”

Sabrina opens the front door, surprised to see Arlene standing before her. The two stand in silence, both of them having been dealt a bad hand in life up to this point. Sabrina looks into Arlene’s eyes, seeing the pity within her. “I’m done with everyone feeling sorry for me!” thinks Sabrina, tired of people dwelling of Mac and her relationship. Although, it did come to her attention from Tisha that since her breakup with Mac, she hadn’t done much with her life and mostly kept to herself. “Do you need something?” snaps Sabrina, giving a small glare at Arlene. Arlene gives an odd look to Sabrina, the girl obviously not wanting to see anyone right now. “Nothing” whispers Arlene, turning to leave as Sabrina begins to shut the door. Arlene takes a step down the first stair, clenching her fists as she turns back towards Sabrina. “Actually, no I do have something to say.” Arlene marches her way back towards Sabrina, aggressively distancing herself at the girl. “I just came to check up on you like a good person would do, and I don’t need your unnecessary sass coming at me for just checking if you haven’t shot a bullet into your head yet!” Arlene shrugs her shoulders at the bad example but continues on, “When I was alone in Tisha’s basement, she was there for me when I didn’t want anyone. Carlisle was here for me when I didn’t want anyone. I’m not going to let you be by yourself any longer and waste your time feeling sad over something in the past.” Arlene bites her lip, “Believe me, I’ve been where you are… and it..it..” Arlene struggles to finish her phrase. Arlene takes a deep breath before she finally says, “It sucks to be alone.” Arlene feels something strange inside of her, unable to describe it. Arlene once again turns to go, hurrying away. Sabrina looks down at the floor, blankly thinking about Arlene’s words. “Hey Arlene!” starts Sabrina, seeing her turn to face her from a distance. “Thank you…” smiles Sabrina, shutting her door as she watches Arlene walk off into the distance.

As night comes to the town of New Haven, Violet and Angel sit upstairs beside a sleeping Tisha. “We can’t let the others know about her” begins Violet, looking over at Tisha. “But her condition is getting worse…” pleads Angel, hearing Tisha’s faint breathing. “I think Kelly may have seen her collapse” confesses Violet, looking out the window of the room. “What can we do?” asks Angel, looking over at the ill Tisha. “She’ll get better, I know it.” Angel bites her cheek in worry, “We should tell Crimson about Tisha’s condition-” Angel is cut off by Violet who answers, “No, she has enough to worry about with Adore’s killer on the loose.” “But can’t we-” begins Angel before a smash is heard from the front entrance. Both girls hurry their way downstairs, seeing the door open and muddy footsteps leading into the basement. Violet and Angel turn towards each other, “Samuel…” Both of them rush downstairs as they see a hooded figure hold a knife to Samuel’s throat. “Let him go!” demands Violet, sending a purple bolt of magic towards the assailant. The figure dodges Violet’s attack, dropping Samuel onto the floor as he screams and dashes towards Angel. Angel holds her hands out in front of her, seemingly helpless as the figure lunges onto her. Violet sends another bolt of magic towards the figure, colliding into the body of the figure and preventing it from hurting Angel. The figure punches Violet knocking her onto the ground as Angel edges towards Samuel who is moaning and crying on the floor. The figure looks down at Violet before running back up the stairs, exiting the house as Angel tries to calm Samuel down. Samuel hits Angel, his current state of mind too fragile to see that it is Angel. Violet’s body aches as she stands back up, looking around the room. “Who was that…?” mumbles Angel.

“You can leave now,” says Evan, laying naked in his bed as Cali sits beside him. “I thought I could stay over for the night?” asks Cali, looking at him. Evan nods his head, “No thanks, but the sex was decent.” Cali slaps Evan, standing up and putting her clothes back on. “You asshole!” Cali stomps her way out of the house, turning back to Evan and yelling, “It’s too bad you have a baby penis!” Evan waves at Cali, “You can go to your next client now, can’t wait to see you at the bar again!” Cali moans and begins to walks out Evan’s front door, stopping as she notices a bush rustling near her. She moves slowly towards the plant, holding out her hand. From inside the house, Evan hears a horrific scream as he runs outside into his yard. Laying on the ground is Cali’s purse, a small amount of blood dripping onto the side of the pavement as Cali is nowhere to be seen.

Esdeath appears out of the shadows of her lair, Ivy, Katherine and Ruthie standing around her as she addresses him. “The time has come for the Ultimate Descendant to arrive.” Esdeath holds out a small spell book and nods at her three servants. “You all know your parts to play, so don’t let me down.” Ruthie, Katherine and Ivy all bow and leave Esdeath to herself, turning towards a darkened wall. Wind and a gust fill the room as Esdeath slams a knife into the wall, the spell book glowing pink as Esdeath grins and cackles.
