Episode Eight: "The Battle of 3 Worlds"
The Ferris Institute lies tucked away on the outskirts of New Haven. The tall gray and black building shows now signs of the horrors to what lies inside. A giant iron fence keeps the outsiders from gaining entrance into the facility. Deep within the dark rooms of the institution, Jenni lies on the cold shackled table, Violet beside her as the two cower in fear from the doctor. Jenni looks to her side, seeing Violet in fear, crying as Jenni sees the first scar left from the doctor’s tools. Jenni watches Violet, hopeless and alone as a glimmer of her eyes turn purple. Jenni’s eyes stare at the scar on Violet’s body, seeing the pain and torture she had to endure. Jenni’s mind drifts back to the moment where Crimson had drugged her, the moment she became a failure in her teacher’s eyes. Crimson saw no hope in Jenni, and now Violet saw no hope in her life either. Jenni returns to reality as the doctor enters the room, going to his table as he picks up a hammer, heading over to Violet’s body. Jenni looks up at the ceiling, “I get it.” The doctor, about to strike Violet stops, “What?” Jenni turns her head to look at the doctor, “All my life, I've let others control me and say what’s best. My acting career was controlled, my emotions were controlled, and now my powers are being controlled.” The doctor stares at Jenni before cackling at her nonsense. He begins to hit Violet as she screams, the cracking of her body worse than anything she had ever felt. “I’m done…” continues Jenni, looking back at the ceiling. “I’ve tried to control it, but it only gets worse.” Jenni closes her eyes, “The only thing to do is…” Jenni takes a deep breath, pausing her speech. “RELEASE IT!” yells Jenni, her eyes immediately turning yellow as a shockwave of energy emits from her body. The doctor turns to face Jenni’s body, his expression turning to fear as the bolts off Jenni’s shackles break, a giant explosion of electricity coming from her body. The electrical energy flies away from Jenni’s body as she screams, the doctor's head being struck by the bolts as it explodes, only leaving a headless body which plops to the ground. Violet covers her eyes, scared at the sight of Jenni’s powers. Jenni stands, finally free from captivity as she steps over the doctor's dead body. She sends a small shockwave towards Violet’s shackles, freeing her as well. A bright yellow light surrounds Jenni’s appearance, Violet peeking to see Jenni helping her. The two promptly leave the room as the amount of electrical power causes the wall to collapse just as they escape. The outer walls of the Ferris Institute crumble as Jenni walks breaks through the wall, Violet following her closely behind. The iron walls of the Ferris Institute fall to Jenni’s powers, the Institute now partially destroyed as multiple concrete ceilings collapse into torture rooms. Jenni walks slowly away, the electric energy radiating from her body as her eyes glow a bright yellow. Jenni smiles while walking away with Violet, to embrace her powers, it wasn’t about controlling them but unleashing them to their fullest potential.
“Tisha, we have to continue with the plan” states Mac, walking down the narrow street with directions to Edward’s house. Tisha doesn’t answer, only looking forward with a blank expression on her face. “I’m sorry you found your cousin like that” expresses Chandler, the first person who Tisha had called while in a state of panic. Tisha recalls what happened the previous night, shaking Evelyn’s dead body as Sabrina and Chandler arrive at the house to comfort her. Crimson running down from her bedroom at the sound of Tisha’s screams. The four of them, laying Evelyn’s body in her bed, for the time being, unsure of who killed her. Tisha sighs, continuing to walk as Quinton holds her hand. “It’s quiet tonight” notes Sabrina, walking beside Mac as she looks around the changing scenery from New Haven to the countryside where Edward’s house lies. The group quickly finds themselves at Edward’s house, the house dark with no one appearing to be inside. The five of them walk onto his lawn, standing there as they gaze upon the house. “So what do we d-” says Chandler who isn’t able to complete her sentence as a bullet flies towards her, hitting her leg as she drops to the floor. Chandler lets out a scream as Ruthie reveals herself on the roof of Edward’s house, carrying a small pistol in her pocket. Mac, Tisha, and Quinton run to duck behind a car, leaving Sabrina who lunges towards Chandler and drags her body to a nearby bush. Bullets continue to ring out from Ruthie’s gun as she screams, “Kill them! Kill them! Kill them!” Tisha and Quinton send water bolts towards Ruthie who falls to the ground, retreating her way back into the house. Sabrina says a quick spell, healing Chandler's leg from the damage of Ruthie’s bullets. Edward’s door quietly creaks open as Natalya, Edward and Arlene step out. Natalya lights a firebolt from her hand, shooting it towards Sabrina. Quinton fires a water bolt, intercepting Natalya’s firebolt before it can hit Sabrina. Chandler stays on the ground as Sabrina stands, “This is War!” she screams, charging towards Natalya. Quinton and Tisha reveal themselves, Tisha running towards Arlene who conjures a demon to fight for her. Quinton shoots a water bolt towards Edward who easily dodges the attack by stepping out of the way. Edward laughs at Quinton’s pathetic attempt to stop them. Edward turns himself invisible, only to reappear closer to Quinton and punching him to the ground. Arlene sends forth her demon to attack Tisha who now sends a water bolt towards her. Arlene is hit in the side, setting her off balance as her demon attacks Tisha. Natalya sends wave after waves of firebolts towards Sabrina who is able to dodge them. Natalya’s firebolts become stronger as anger festers through her body.
Ruthie makes her appearance from Edward’s front door, slightly bruised from the water bolt but makes her way to Natalya’s side. Sabrina freezes in her tracks as Mac watches Ruthie point her pistol at Sabrina. Mac yells, unable to do anything with no powers as Ruthie pulls the trigger, Sabrina holding out her hands and closing her eyes as the bullet heads toward her. Seconds pass as Sabrina doesn’t feel any pain, opening her eyes to see a forcefield around herself. Sabrina looks at her hands, now able to create a forcefield to protect herself as Natalya attempts to destroy the barrier with a wave of fire. Sabrina walks closer to Ruthie and Natalya who are unable to destroy her barrier. Elsewhere, Edward repeatedly punches Quinton’s head on the ground and blood comes out of his mouth and nose. Edward takes a step back as a water bolt from Tisha forces him to stop his actions. The demon tackles Tisha, pushing her to the ground as Chandler rises to her feet, still weak but wanting to battle. She notices mac who still hides behind the car before she runs towards Sabrina to help her. She joins inside Sabrina’s force field as the two get closer and closer to Natalya and Ruthie. Chandler’s eyes strangely start to turn pink as Natalya drops to the ground holding her neck, indicating that she cannot breathe. Sabrina looks at Chandler whose eyes glow with a light pink color. “She’s...poisoning...me…” murmurs Natalya as she lay on the ground, trying to fight back from Chandler’s telepathic poisoning of her mind. Chandler stares at Natalya, her new ability almost killing the girl before Bobby steps out of the house simply holding his hand as nightmares enter Chandler’s mind. Chandler sinks to the floor, Sabrina continuing to hold the forcefield as Ruthie still shoots. “No fair! You’re cheaters!” moans Ruthie at Sabrina’s force field. Out from behind Bobby, Gabriel and Kate appear, Mac noticing his sister as he comes out from behind the car. Kate makes her way towards Mac, grinning as her eyes begin to glow green and the ground beneath her starts to shake. The grass starts to grow around Mac, causing the plants around him to grow in size and start attacking him. Mac screams as the giant plants take hold of his arms, ripping him from side to side. With the demon on top of Tisha, Quinton pinned down by Edward, Chandler on the floor with nightmares filling her mind, Sabrina trying to hold up a forcefield and Mac being ripped apart, Tisha lays her head back, “We’ve failed..” she whispers to herself, seeing all her friends about to die. With everyone occupied, all are unable to notice the small clinking and clanking of a small metallic ball which rolls over to Edward’s lawn. As Edward continues to punch Quinton, he finally notices the ball, his eyes widening with his jaw opening. The small metallic ball reveals itself to be a grenade filled with Kharine explodes. The fatal powdered Kharine which is lethal to Descendants spreads onto the battlefield, all the Descendants stopping their actions as the Kharine immobilizes them. Jayla, Veronica, and Bailey ambush Edward on the battlefield, all shooting crossbows at him as he dodges, retreating closer to his house along with Bobby, Arlene, Natalya and Ruthie who join him to get away from the powdery substance. “What is this shit?” yells Ruthie, looking at Bailey who reveals herself as a Syndicate Hunter to all of them. Chandler looks up at Bailey, amazed to see her past human friend protecting her. Tisha, Quinton, Mac, Chandler and Sabrina all stand beside Jayla, Veronica, and Bailey. The battle of the 3 worlds: Tisha’s group, Edward’s group and Bailey’s group all standing, moments before the real battle would start. “And so it begins…” says Veronica.
The two groups now collide, Kate beginning to fight with Mac as the plants start to take hold of him again. “Kate, please! I’m your brother” begs Mac, trying to find his sister. Kate’s eyes are a dark black, smiling at the pain being inflicted on Mac. Mac begins to cry, “All I wanted was to save you!” he cries, his sister not even caring who he is. The moon looks down on Mac, a small wind beginning to blow as Mac’s eyes start to turn green. Kate looks at him, startled by Mac’s changing appearance. Mac shows his face to Kate, his eyes now all green as he stares at her. The brief moment of pause before Mac screams, breaking the plants that entangle and attack him before he raises his hands, the ground breaking beneath Kate as she is knocked to the side. Quinton and Natalya trade bolts of fire and water as the two are unable to gain an advantage on the other. “Soon you’ll end up like your other friend!” cackles Natalya’s, talking about the fate of John. “You bitch!” responds Quinton, focusing his energy on Natalya. Ruthie fires shot after shot from her pistol, occasionally stopping to reload before shooting at Tisha whose eyes turn blue as she fires water bolts at Ruthie. Chandler and Bailey stand back to back, Chandler trying to poison the others as Bailey fires her crossbow arrows at Bobby who dodges. “I thought you left,” says Chandler, a small smile coming from her face as she reunites with her friend. “I found something inside of myself as well!” replies Bailey, the two continuing to attack Bobby and the others. Gabriel and Arlene fight with Sabrina who holds up her forcefield, drawing attention away from the others. “Get your shit together!” addresses Arlene to Gabriel, dissatisfied with his skills. The two of them are interrupted as Veronica and Jayla begin to fire arrows at them, one arrows taking the skin off Arlene’s side as she barely dodges the projectile. Edward grabs Kate by the arm, dragging her to near the house as Mac follows them. Edward goes invisible for a few seconds, reappearing inside Sabrina forcefield before he wraps his arms around her neck, choke holding her. The fighting stops as he also grabs Kate, Ruthie holding a gun to Kate’s head. “You get to choose Mac! Which one you save, and which one goes!” rejoices Ruthie, happy at the misery she is creating. “Choose one!” repeats Edward, waiting to kill the one Mac does not save. “Help me!” screams Sabrina, begging to not die as Mac stays frozen in place, unable to choose one or the other. Gabriel punches Kate in the stomach, “Choose one or they both die!” Bobby claps his hands, “The plan is going along marvelously!” Arlene watches the two sides in a conflict, not caring about the outcome. “Stop!” commands Veronica, pointing her crossbow at Edward. Edward laughs, unable to take Veronica seriously. The door to Edward’s house creaks open, no one paying attention to the noise. “I will not rest until every last one of you Descendants in dead. You killed my family, you took my life away!” Arlene shrugs her shoulders, “We don’t care.” Veronica lets go of her crossbow, the arrow heading towards Edward who dodges easily. Holding Kate and Sabrina’s heads down, the both also miss the arrow. The sound of the arrow hitting flesh sounds through the air, a small cry coming from the arrows victim. Edward turns, seeing the arrow stuck in the middle of his son, Danny’s head. Danny drops to the floor, the arrow straight through his head, resulting in an almost instant death. Edward lets go of Sabrina and Kate, letting out a blood-curdling scream as he drops to the floor to hold his dead sons body. Rocking the body back and forth, blood ruins his clothing as he begins to cry, the one person he loved was gone. Bobby grips Sabrina and Kate back by their hair, “We still aren’t finished here!” Bobby is interrupted by Edward, letting out a scream of rage before casting a demon to attack Veronica. The demon swiftly jumps on Veronica who is staring at the little child's body who she just killed, overwhelmed with emotion. The demon stabs it’s jaws into the throat, Veronica not doing anything as her eyes close, her body lying frozen on the ground as the demon leaves, vanishing into thin air after killing its intended target.
Bailey has to hold Jayla back from going to help Veronica, knowing there is no way to save the girl. “Pick one!” yells Bobby for the final time, about to kill both the girls. Bobby is interrupted, his hands move to his face as he lets out a sound of pain, something was entering his mind and killing his thoughts. Out from the shadows appears Crimson, motioning Chandler to tap into Bobby’s mind to poison it. Crimson sends a wave of fire towards Bobby, unable to dodge, his face is set on fire as he runs away, shrieking and cowering in fear as he departs into the wilderness followed by Ruthie who follows her leader. “Wait!” shouts Arlene, beginning to run as she is caught by Mac who entangles her in a web of giant plants, immobilizing her. “Let me go!” she screams, stuck in between the plants. Crimson now commands Chandler to infect Edward’s mind, causing him to drop his dead son's body. Kate begins to feel the pain along with Gabriel who both drop to the floor, their minds being free from Edward’s and Bobby’s shadow manipulation. Natalya raises her hands, “You caught Edward, and I stay with my people.” Kate’s eyes return to normal, rising to her knees to see Mac. “Mac!” she says, full of joy at seeing her brother! The two embrace as Sabrina watches them, glad to see the two reunited. “Let’s get out of here…” says Bailey, running away with Jayla as the two recede back into the countryside to their base. Gabriel stands looking around. “Where am I? Where’s the bar…?” Tisha, Quinton, Chandler, Mac and Sabrina all look at Crimson who showed up to save them, her only word being said are, “We will talk about this later…”

I loved this episode! It was awesome and intense from start to finish! Loved the battle I was scared for my faves lives.
The battle was amazing! It was really intense and I never knew what was going to happen next. I loved the three worlds type of idea.
I was just growing to like Veronica. I'm kind of sad :( but she was never my fave so at least thats good. Danny's death was actually really sad. It ALMOST made me feel some remorse for Edward, but barely nothing at all. I was predicting Danny would be killed off.
Honestly have no idea, maybe someone like Tisha Mac, or Sab
I hope they have lots of drama! I'm predicting maybe one more death and maybe a resolution to some of the major conflicts in season 2, but possibly another uprising if there is to be a season 3.

Thoughts on The Episode?: Intense from start to finish, I'm glad we got some deaths during the battle as it gives us more for the coming episodes.
Thoughts on The Battle?: I think it was a well produced battle. I enjoyed how the 'Three Worlds' meaning came together and gave us more insight on whats to come.
Thoughts on Veronica/Danny's Death?: I feel Danny's death has more impact for Edwards storyline whereas Veronica was one of those characters robbed of her full potential. Hopefully this leads into a big dramatic conclusion in the final 2 episodes.
Who told Crimson about Mac's Plan?: I feel Mac told her himself, they've always been around together and it'd make most sense for him to tell her so she's not entirely oblivious. I also have a feeling that Tisha may have told her.
Any Predictions for the Final 2 Episodes?: I feel an uprising will occur leading to the death of one final character (This going with the Final Episode title)
Thoughts on The Episode?: Let me just say that I was literally on the edge of my seat. The build up to the 'Battle of the 3 Worlds' was outstanding. Chandler and Bailey reuniting, Veronica shooting Danny.... The Descendants learning their new abilities... Kate coming back to normal... ITS AMAZING
Thoughts on The Battle?: Extremely intense and very well written. I loved the way on how the Justice Syndicate came in
Thoughts on Veronica/Danny's Death?: I feel like Veronica was mysterious the whole way through, her development started to show when she started talking about her family, but now that she died I suppose that's all we'll learn about her. She may be that type of character who we'll learn about in flashbacks, I hope so because there's a lot to still learn about her. Danny's death was sad, and I think after killing him, Veronica had it coming to her.
Who told Crimson about Mac's Plan?: Tisha possibly, maybe Crimson just stumbled upon them or had a feeling Mac was going to go there?
Any Predictions for the Final 2 Episodes? - I don't know how they'll compete with this episode (this is probably my favorite episode out of the season) but I'm sure you'll find a way!

epic. Kate is back to normal. Gabriel is still confused. Edward is gonna be mad as hell later.

I think that is the best episode of the series.Mac finally has his powers.Kate is reunited with him.Edwards SON died and he wont be happy about it.Jenni and Violet are not going to be happy with Jenni.
I was much more shocked of Danny's death than Veronica.Although Veronica fought to kill the Descendants it was sad to see her killed off
