Episode Seven: "The Unraveling"

Kate’s laughter echoes into the sky as she and Evan make their way out of a movie theater. Kate spins around to smile at Evan, grasping his hands as she tugs on him. “Thanks for taking me out,” says Kate, grinning at him. Evan smiles as the two walk towards the parking lot. Evan opens the door to his car for Kate, then proceeding to get in and drive to his house. Arriving at Evan’s house, Kate steps into his home, looking around for the first time at his peaceful abode. The rooms are messy, expected from a single man in his twenties. Kate walks into his kitchen, noticing a wilted flower in a vase on top of his counter. Kate walks over to the flower, touching it lightly as she turns to see Evan. “So what do you think?” asks Evan, sitting on his kitchen counter. “You’ll be lucky to have a neat wife someday” answers Kate, playfully joking with him. “It’s not like I need to please anyone,” says Evan, trying to be sarcastic. Kate tilts her head, “You could please me.” Kate bites her lip, winking at Evan as he gets off the kitchen counter. “So what do you do for fun other than dating girls?” questions Kate, circling her way around the kitchen island to reach Evan. “I do whatever I feel like” flaunts Evan, raising his eyebrows at Kate. Looking around the room, Kate picks up a small picture showing a small boy surrounded by adults. “Is this you?” asks Kate, inspecting the picture. Evan looks at the picture, plucking it away from Kate as he gazes at the faces. “Just my family,” says Evan, his smile slightly fading. Kate puts her hands back on the picture, Evan looking back up at her as he sets the picture aside. Evan moves closer, finally kissing Kate as she wraps her arms around him. The sensation lasts for multiple seconds, although it feels like minutes for Kate. The two pull back, Kate’s beaming expression making Evan happier as well. The two start to talk once more as Kate glances towards the wilted flower, the plant no longer withered or wilted but look brand new. The flower glows a light pink as Kate turns her attention back to Evan.

Tisha walks through her house, startled to see Evelyn standing in her kitchen like previous times. Chandler sleeps on Tisha’s couch, the girl still healing from the past battle. Evelyn stays quiet, looking at Tisha. “Why didn’t you help us?” mumbles Tisha, clenching her fists. Evelyn doesn’t answer,  instead, she looks over at Chandler, watching her sleep. “You can’t try to protect me and then return to Esdeath’s side. You did nothing in that battle to help us and since Bobby is dead, I'm fair game now” accuses Tisha, crossing her hands and leaning on one of her legs. “I’m trying to-” Evelyn says before she is interrupted by Tisha. “No, you’re not, you’re not trying to protect me. I don’t know what you want from me Evelyn. You show up here, secretly work for Bobby, fake your death, reappear at my friends funeral’s and kill my other friends, show up here and try, to tell the truth, what are you really up to?” Evelyn sighs and speaks, “Before I came to New Haven, I was struggling to control my powers once I had discovered them. Bobby found me, helped me, took me in and showed me how humans can be evil.” Tisha’s eyes widen, “I don’t understand how you can say that an entire race is evil.” Evelyn raises her hand, “But that’s the point, I discovered that Bobby wasn’t telling the truth, I had been brainwashed to think a certain way.” Tisha shakes her head, “I don’t believe that Ruthie was with Bobby, and she is a human.” Evelyn looks at the ground, “Yes...b-” Tisha cuts her off, “No! Stop making excuses for yourself. Stop lying to me. This is why no one liked you as a kid and still why no one likes you now!” Evelyn raises her voice, “I just want your forgiveness! I messed up. Bobby was going to kill you for believing humans to be equal to us, I had to spy for him or you would be dead right now.” Tisha bites her lip, “Just please leave, I can’t trust you anymore.” Evelyn starts to walk towards Tisha’s front door, turning to say, “You know I can never come back to New Haven. Bobby may be dead, but Esdeath might know that I’m connected to you. I can’t risk being here…” Tisha faces away from Evelyn, “Just go.” Evelyn walks out of Tisha’s house, getting into her car as she is seen driving out of New Haven.

A knock is heard at Tisha’s door moments after Evelyn departs. Tisha groans, heading to the door and open it, surprised to see Mac standing there. “I thought you were someone else…” sighs Tisha, relieved to see Mac. Tisha welcomes him inside, Mac standing in her living room now. “I think we have a problem.” Tisha looks at him awkwardly, “What do you mean?” Mac sits down, “It’s Sabrina, she isn’t the same anymore.” A small voice comes from beside Mac, “Well she did die, it’s not like you’d be able to understand what she’s going through.” Chandler’s eyes peek open, smiling at Tisha and Mac. Tisha grins back at Chandler, happy to see her awake. Tisha looks around at her two friends, “What happened to us? Ever since the funeral, we’ve all become distant.” Chandler laughs, “Life happened, everyone is trying to find themselves after seeing what happened to Mia.” Tisha nods, “Jenni isn’t here, Sabrina isn’t here, Quinton isn’t here and I feel like we’re forgetting about each other.” Chandler coughs, “Ever since Crimson left, we’re all kinda lunging out into the world. I think Crimson was the glue that held us all together in some way…” Mac shakes his head from stress and frustration, “I just don’t know what to say to Sabrina.” Chandler glances over at Mac, “Maybe it’s not what you say, but perhaps she just wants you to listen. You two have kinda grown distant and the time you could be spending with Sabrina is now being spent with Alexis.” The three of them slightly nod, smiling at each other.

Another knock at Tisha’s door interrupts their conversation. Crimson steps inside Tisha’s house, holding her hands behind her back. “May I speak to you alone?” whispers Crimson, staring at Tisha. The two girls retreat to the kitchen, leaving Mac and Chandler in the living room. The atmosphere in the kitchen is tense, neither Crimson or Tisha saying a word. “What did you want?” questions Tisha, sitting at her kitchen table. “I-I-I want…” mumbles Crimson, trying to phrase her thoughts. “Just say whatever you have to” replies Tisha, thinking nothing she could say would ever make her feel worse. “Thank you for helping Chandler, she might be dead right now if it weren’t for you” adds Tisha, gleaming a small smile at Crimson. “Quinton knew about Jenni’s drugging, he actually was the one who convinced me to do it.” Tisha’s mind freezes, her eyes widen at Crimson’s unraveling. Tisha nearly falls off her seat, putting her hands on her head as it starts to throb in pain. “What did you say?” asks Tisha, thinking she misunderstood Crimson. “Quinton knew about Jenni’s drugging and once it happened, he blackmailed me to keep it a secret. Tears begin to come out of Tisha’s eyes, “Why would he do that?” Crimson bites her lip, “He was scared for your safety around her and he didn’t want you to find out about his involvement.” Tisha begins to sob, “That’s all you wanted to tell me?” Crimson looks at the floor, holding her composure, “I also wanted your forgiveness, to be welcomed back here.” Tisha emits a small laugh, “You drugged Jenni, and you kept this secret, what makes you think I can trust you?” Crimson looks at Tisha, “Because I told you the truth…” Tisha shakes her head, “That doesn’t mean we can just forget what you did! Actions have consequences. You told us a long time ago that these powers were gifts, and then you try to get rid of Jenni?” Crimson’s body starts to vibrate. “I made a mistake! Yes, we have special gifts to help other, but I chose the wrong path. Everybody can make a mistake, but I want to be forgiven! I want to teach you, I need you and Chandler and Mac and Sabrina and the others in my life. I’m nothing without others…” yells Crimson, a single tear coming out of her eye. Crimson closes her eyes, embarrassed to be showing emotion. Tisha places her hand over her mouth, the first time Crimson had shown her vulnerability to her. “I need time Crimson, I don’t know what to believe anymore…” answers Tisha, smiling at Crimson. “Tomorrow there’s a lesson here, you can come if you want” adds Tisha, Crimson returning the smile as the two shake hands.

Upstairs, Tori stares at the wall as Katherine twists and turns in her bed. Katherine has a fever, gripping her hands on her head to quell the headache inside of her. Katherine moans from the pain, unable to sleep. “I think you need some help,” says Tori, trying to reach the door, only to be stopped by the invisible barrier spell cast on the room to contain them. Tori begins slamming on the barrier, trying to break through it as Katherine’s eyes turn black. Tori looks back at Katherine, her body convulsing on the bed as Katherine stands, her black eyes looking past Tori who looks fearful. Katherine raises her hand, creating a demon which spawns in front of her. “You can’t break the barrier!” yells Tori, cowering in fear of the demon. Katherine points at the barrier, indicating her demon to attack it. Swiftly, the demon tackles the barrier, being thrown back as he continues over and over again. After many attempts, Tori hears the sound of a thousand shards of glass shattering. Tori looks around, the barrier now becoming visible as its shattered pieces fade away, leaving the two girls free. Katherine’s eyes return to normal as her body collapses onto the ground, the demon picking Katherine’s body up before smashing through the wall, breaking out of Tisha’s house. The door to the room slams open, Tisha running inside at the sound of the large noise, startled to see one of her walls gone. “Katherine is gone!” screams Tori in fear, crying into the palm of her hands. Tisha looks around the room, noticing the wall which the demon broke through. “She’s sick..” mumbles Tori, talking about Katherine. “I was just supposed to come here for Mada…” moans Tori, Tisha instantly turning towards her. “What did you just say?” asks Tisha. Tori sniffles, “Mada… she's my grandmother.”

Tisha sits in her living room alone, Chandler sleep beside her as Tori remains upstairs and rests in another bed. “Tori and Mada? How is that even..” mumbles Tisha, unable to think clearly over the events of the night. “Things just seem to be getting worse the more I try.” Tisha ponders for a moment, an idea appearing in her mind. Tisha smiles, thinking her idea might work. The sound of a door creaking open spins Tisha to look around the room, seeing Edward appear from the basement. His face is pale and the transition from total darkness to light from within the house made him cover his eyes. Tisha stands in amazement, never thinking for Edward to appear outside of the basement. “Do you need any help?” asks Tisha, ready to fetch him what he needs. “No, do you need any help?” replies Edward, looking at her. Tisha shakes her head, “What happened to you, Edward?” He looks back at the basement, Edward remembering Danny’s appearance to him as he answers, “I lose my son, I lost my life, I lost so much…” Edward approaches Tisha, kissing her before Tisha pushes him back. “Edward stop, that was a long time ago and we were different people then” commands Tisha, not ready for a romance. “Then just please let me help you, help someone, I need something to live for” pleads Edward. Tisha places a hand on his heart, “Live for yourself, live to help others.” Edward looks at the ground, trying not to cry in front of a girl. “I’m doing something tomorrow, I'd be happy if you could come to it” explains Tisha, grinning at Edward. Looking away from her, Edward nods his head in approval, ready to do what Tisha wanted.

Elsewhere, Anthony knocks on the front door to Samuel’s house. The door inches open, Samuel nowhere on the other side. Anthony peeks inside the house, all the lights off as her enters. “Hello?” he says, trying to find Samuel. Anthony wanders through the house, seeing science posters around the house as he stumbles upon Samuel’s study room, noticing the door to be unlocked as he sneaks into the room to find Samuel. Anthony stumbles in, shocked to find maps of New Haven everywhere, pictures of John plastered around the wall, a large vault containing poison and a small bronze orb on Samuel’s table. Anthony walks over to Samuel’s computer, clicking it on as an extensive map is revealed. On the computer also shows a spellbook and a picture of the bronze orb. Words of an unknown language are also found on Samuel’s computer, confusing Anthony before he gasps, seeing something on the computer. The door beside Anthony slides shut as Samuel stands in front of the door. “You shouldn’t be in here” utters Samuel, giving Anthony an evil grin. Anthony steps back, “I didn’t mean to, I was just looking for you…” Samuel sighs, walking around the room. Anthony points at the computer, “What is this?” Samuel stops, “It’s what has to be done.” Anthony shakes his head in horror, “But you can’t! It’s not right…” Samuel laughs, “Nothing has been right for a long time in this town.” Anthony moves closer to the door, “This isn’t you Samuel, you don’t have to do this…” Samuel shakes his head, “I have to do this for John.” Anthony begins to sprint to Samuel’s front door and thinks, “I have to warn her, warn them!” He arrives at the front door, twisting the knob of the door and finds it to be locked from both sides. A powdery substance appears from behind Anthony, a cloud of power engulfing Anthony as he screams in pain as the power burns his skin. Anthony drops to the floor, Samuel watching his friend squirm around on the floor. “Don’t worry, it’s only Kharine. It won’t kill you, but it will slow you down. I can’t let anyone stop me, Anthony, John has to be avenged” proclaims Samuel, moving around Anthony as he opens the front door to his house with a key, exiting his home as he wanders away holding the bronze orb. Anthony remains on the floor, his skin beginning to peel from the burning of the Kharine substance.

It had way too much Tisha in it, but other than that, pretty good episode.
Called it!  Wonder what Evan's gonna think though once he finds out Kate is a Descendant.
Yes.  Evelyn has worked behind Tisha's back for much too long, so she had that coming to her.
That needed to happen tbh  Now is the moment of truth for Quinton.  He has nothing left to hide behind.
Samuel is a fucking idiot.  Did he just kill Anthony?  He says Kharine won't kill him, but I think it just might.
one of Mac/Sabrina, Edward, one of Arlene/Carlisle, Evelyn, one of Esdeath/Ivy, Bailey, Crimson, one of Brittany/Adore, and Ruthie

Was Tisha right to kick Evelyn out?: Tbh, Evelyn is just annoying me and she had it coming, she was Bobby's puppet all the fucking time and now hes dead she crawls back to Tisha smdh.
Thoughts on Crimson telling Tisha the Truth?: HAHAHAHA YES BITES YOU IN THE ASS QUINTON
Thoughts on the Samuel/Anthony scene?: OHSNFDNUSOFN WTF IS SAMUEL PLANNING

Questions:
Thoughts on The Episode?: It was a nice episode to set up the events for the oncoming storm, especially exploiting characters such as Evelyn and Quinton.
Thoughts on the Kate/Evan relationship?: Evan the Human, Kate the descendant. I don't think we've had that before. It'll be interesting to see his reaction and how he integrates with this new outlook on life.
Was Tisha right to kick Evelyn out?: For Evelyn's actions yes, however this solidifies her placement with the other side because I feel eventually Evelyn may have returned back to Tisha's alliance.
Thoughts on Crimson telling Tisha the Truth?: I'm glad tbf, Quinton has nowhere left to run too and the blackmailing will come to an end.
Thoughts on the Samuel/Anthony scene?: LMAO if he killed Anthony then he'll 100% die soon.
With 3 Episodes left, Any Death Predictions?: I feel due to the exclusion of Crimson from the core group and then her eventual reintegration with Tisha may lead to her sacrificing herself to help everyone and allowing her to finally accept and move on with what she has done. I also foresee one of Mac or Sabrina dying before the end also.

Questions:
Thoughts on The Episode?: YASS!! Great episode! I absolutely enjoyed it all. I love Katherine's segment, she was so gorgeous creating a demon and escaping like a queen!
Thoughts on the Kate/Evan relationship?: I ship them and I hope Evan wont mind that Kate is a descendant
Was Tisha right to kick Evelyn out?: It was about time. Evelyn was unworthy to stay with Tisha.
Thoughts on Crimson telling Tisha the Truth?:Finally!! I was waiting for it for so long. I hope that Quinton will die.
Thoughts on the Samuel/Anthony scene?: Poor Anthony! I know he wont die but still it must hurts like hell damn it.
With 3 Episodes left, Any Death Predictions?: Samuel, Evelyn and as much as I love her I think that Esdeath is in danger too :(
Sent by Katherinee_,Aug 5, 2016
Thoughts on The Episode?: Loved Evan and Kate hooking up, it's not like it was a surprise or anything but I was happy that happened. And OMG at the end scene.
Thoughts on the Kate/Evan relationship?: Really liked it. I don't think it's gonna last too long, I'm getting a friends with benefits vibe tbh
Was Tisha right to kick Evelyn out?: Yep, Evelyn was shady the entire time with Tisha so it was deserved.
Thoughts on Crimson telling Tisha the Truth?: I'm glad she told Tisha the truth, glad karma is coming back to bite him.
Thoughts on the Samuel/Anthony scene?: If this was created so Samuel could get a lot of heat on his character, it worked. Sucks Anthony got attacked... at least Samuel didn't kill him though. But I hope Anthony doesn't stay quiet about this.
With 3 Episodes left, Any Death Predictions?: i think Bailey may be getting axed soon. This is the second time her fate's been left unknown and I think her death may even change Chandler's development. Although I guess that would mean Jayla's death would be in vain since she kinda fueled Bailey's development... I also feel like Crimson, sadly, may be dying as well. It would make sense considering Tisha has taken her place and Crimson is finding a lot of redemption. She could sacrifice herself for the Descendants?
Sent by _ivyyy_445,Aug 5, 2016
The biggest shock honestly was Tori being Mada's grandmother
I just hope Evan isn't evil in some way...
Yes Evelyn is untrustworthy
I think it was right that she told the truth
Samuel has changed for the worse,we still don't know what he's doing but it cant be good
Crimson or Evelyn, both to prove they are good.Maybe Edward
