Episode One: "Forgive Me"

== Flashback ==

A small girl walks through the hallways of a house, nothing but silence surrounding her as the darkness of the outside world lets her see nothing out the windows. The small girl clutches her teddy bear, strolling down the hallway as she makes her way to the other end. The girl hears a small noise coming from behind a door, holding out her hand to twist the knob to the door. “Arlene?!” yells a voice, the little girl putting her hand down as she turns around. A man appears at the other side of the hall, now seeing the young girl and running up to her. “What are you doing out here Arlene?” Arlene looks down, the little girl inside of her scared to answer. “I couldn’t fall asleep.” The man bends down to look at her, “Did you have a nightmare again?” Arlene nods, the man wrapping his arms her for comfort and protection. “It’s only a dream” answers the man, standing back and guiding Arlene back to her room. As Arlene lays in her bed, the man sits on a chair waiting for her to fall asleep. Arlene’s mind drifts away, back into her unconscious state. Elsewhere in the house, a noise is heard from behind the door which Arlene was about to open.

== Present Day ==

“Alright, class!” begins Tisha, struggling to balance all the items she holds for today's class. “Do you need any help?” asks Brittany, judging Tisha’s attempt to be independent. “I’m fine!” answers Tisha as a glass jar drops on the floor, pieces of glass shards laying scattered across the floor. “I don’t need help Alexis!” announces Tisha deeply, now frustrated and stressed. Alexis returns back to her spot. “You’re new here, so just be quiet and listen” explains Brittany, placing her hand on her hip as she watches Tisha. Placing other objects around the room, Tisha glances around. It wasn’t the same anymore, Crimson was gone and she wasn’t able to handle everyone at once. In response, she created several lessons to teach smaller amounts of Descendants for more one on one time. Tisha sighs, none of her friends seemed to be at her house. “They all have their own lives outside of this…” thinks Tisha, her memory traveling to the night she returned home to find her cousin Evelyn dead in her living room, only to see her alive again as she popped out of her coffin during her funeral. Tisha still had so many questions to ask Evelyn. Her cousin had taken off with Bobby and the others, her true motives now revealed. It had only been one week since the “Battle of Three Worlds” as everyone called it but it seemed so far away. “Tisha?” says Adore, looking at her puzzled. Tisha shakes her head, turning her head towards Adore. “The lesson..?” implies Adore, trying to move things along. “Yes, right…” replies Tisha. “I was supposed to be home thirty minutes ago” mumbles Alexis, Tisha sharply moving to face her. “You can all be dismissed for today” announces Tisha, retiring to her kitchen as the others begin to leave her house. Tisha goes to her fridge, opening it to get a drink. “Are you alright?” questions Brittany, poking her head into the kitchen. Tisha smiles, “Everything is perfect.” Brittany turns to leave Tisha alone, “I may have been on my phone a lot during the lessons before, but I can still tell when people are upset.” Tisha rolls her eyes at Brittany’s statement, “You still wouldn’t be paying attention if it hadn’t broke” she whispers.

New Haven was a thriving tourist destination at this time of the year. Autumn would soon be arriving and the town would fill up for the annual pumpkin festival, known nationally as being one of the best in the country. Mac and Sabrina sit in the small cafe of the town, both of them minding each others space as Kate returns with her coffee. “This tastes horrible” moans Sabrina, looking at her drink. “You can just nibble on your boyfriend then” jokes Kate, looking at her brother's face as it turns bright red. “So what’s new with you two?” asks Kate, crossing her legs as she sits down across from the couple. Sabrina and Mac look at each other, both of them shrugging their shoulders. “Did you two just find out you’re related?” laughs Kate, leaning back on her seat. “Kate…” whispers Mac, trying to get her to be quiet. “I’m going to the washroom,” says Sabrina, standing to leave. Kate looks back and forth between the Mac and Sabrina, neither of them making eye contact. “Is she a lesbian?” cackles Kate, coughing as she chokes from her coffee and laughs simultaneously. “You’re way too hyper…” notes Mac, raising his eyebrows as he watches her gasp for air. “Sabrina just died seven days ago…” explains Mac, trying to defend his girlfriend. “Well, she got resurrected” counters, Kate, letting out a deep breath as she is able to breathe again. “Yes, but another girl had to die for her to return” whispers Mac as he leans closer to his sister. Kate thinks back to the funeral, Mia using a resurrection spell to sacrifice her own life to bring back Sabrina. “I don’t know why Mia did that, though like I don’t think I ever could,” confesses Kate. “I don’t know either” acknowledges Mac. “Still, it must be hard for Sabrina to just continue on with her regular life. She must feel guilty for Mia’s death” adds Mac. The coffee table moves as a boy accidentally hits the table with his leg, causing Kate’s drink to spill on her. “Oh my god!” wails Kate, a brown stain being left on her white jeans. The boy turns around, “That’s why you never wear white jeans.” Kate’s mouth opens, “Excuse me? Who do you think you are?” The guy smiles, “It’s Evan, here have my coffee instead.” Evan then walks away, Kate watching him with a weird expression on her face, “The nerve of some people.” Kate sips on her new coffee, “At least he knows a girl's favorite blend.”

Tisha picks up the items around her house, trying to find a broom to clean up the mess she made from the lesson today. Tisha pauses for a moment, staring into the living room. She was alone and was trying to move on without a teacher. A knock at the door snaps Tisha back into reality. It was now dark outside, and as Tisha makes her way towards her front door, a shadowy figure stands on the opposite side of the door from her. Tisha opens the door, letting out a huge sigh of relief seeing Crimson now standing before her. “Please get off my property,” says Tisha. “Can I just come in for 5 minutes?” pleads Crimson, showing no sign of emotion towards Tisha. “No” states Tisha, beginning to close her door as Crimson grabs her hand. “Please…” begs Crimson, her voice remaining monotone as she stares into Tisha’s eyes. Tisha doesn’t answer her, continuing to close the door. The only words or Crimson’s that manage to slip their way into Tisha’s house before the door is shut are, “Forgive me.” Tisha turns towards her kitchen once more, “She almost killed one of my friends…” utters Tisha, clenching her fists as she remembers how Jenni explained to her how Crimson had drugged her and sent her off to a correctional facility for Descendants. A small noise comes from Tisha’s basement, Tisha glances at the door, the noise getting louder before it quiets down, Tisha stepping towards the door as she enters her basement.

“So like what do we do now?” mumbles Violet, standing in her house as Jenni sits on her chair. Jenni watches the fireplace, resembling the one she was looking at while Crimson drugged her. Jenni looks down on the floor, her only emotion towards Crimson was disgust. “At least Tisha expelled Crimson from teaching any of the Descendants,” thinks Jenni. Standing, Jenni walks over to Violet, “It’s our job to maintain the peace between different groups of Descendants.” explains Jenni. “After what I've gone through, I don’t want the same fate to fall upon someone else. We must instill peace.” Violet nods at Jenni’s statement, “How do we do that then?” Jenni turns towards a window, looking out into the distance, “I admire you for staying with me when you could have abandoned me to follow your lessons with Tisha, therefore I will try to teach you.” Violet smiles, the two of them sharing a hug as Jenni puts on a faint grin, “For now, we wait” whispers Jenni.

A large iron door opens, Samuel walking inside as he sees Jayla and Bailey inside. Bailey comforts Jayla who sips on an herbal tea. Bailey pets Jayla’s back for support, noticing Samuel’s entrance into their hideout as he holds a bag with large amounts of cash in it. “She told you that she doesn’t want your money,” says Bailey, looking at Jayla who remains quiet. Samuel throws the money beside Jayla, “Veronica killed Danny which is exactly what your job was to do.” Samuel looks at the two of them as neither answer, “Look, you two hunt Descendants who have a target on their back. I don’t know why you’re taking this so hard.” Bailey turns her head towards Samuel, “We hunt bad ones who hurt others, I had no idea that Veronica’s intention was to kill an innocent child.” Samuel clenches his fists, “His father killed John…” Bailey looks into Samuel’s eyes, the boy she used to know was gone and the death of John, the one he loved had changed him into a cold hearted person who wanted revenge. “I had no idea that the Justice Syndicate was a bounty hunter group” adds Bailey, looking back at Jayla who had withheld the truth from her. “But I can’t abandon her right now, I won’t leave her alone like I was” explains Bailey. Bailey remembers when Edward’s demon had attacked her, almost taking her life and how far she had come from rock bottom. “Please leave Samuel, go fulfill your ambitions without us.” Samuel rolls his eyes, turning to leave as Bailey continues to comfort Jayla who remains frozen and in a state of shock.

Tisha walks down the stairs to her basement, the darkness surrounding her to the point of nothing able to be seen. Tisha lights a small candle, revealing the bottom of her basement as others candles turn on around her. Edward, Natalya, and Arlene all sit against the wall, their bodies having the first glimpse of light in a while. The three captives who had been taken prisoner after the “Battle of 3 Worlds” were all demoralized, their eyes barely open to analyze Tisha’s appearance. Tisha looks at Edward, after the death of his son Danny, he had said not a single word to anyone. His face was pale as he looks towards the floor, Tisha moving beside him to inspect Natalya. Tisha pushes a small tray towards her, “I brought you some food…” Natalya looks down at the food, picking it up, only to throw it towards the wall in anger, Tisha sighs, moving past her to see Arlene. The girl still held her composure, not even daring to look at Tisha since she was captured. Tisha pulls up a chair to Arlene, opening up a journal and clicking her pen on. “Shall we continue?” asks Tisha, ready to write. Arlene says nothing, continuing to ignore Tisha. Tisha sighs again, closing her book to walk upstairs. “Why are you doing this?” mumbles Arlene, still facing the wall. Tisha turns to look at her, “I still have hope that you three can be good.” Arlene laughs, “Crimson sure hated us, she had no hope.” Tisha returns to the chair, “I have hope.” Arlene turns her head ever so slightly to acknowledge Tisha, “We’re too far gone.” Tisha shakes her head, “I don’t believe that! You can change if you want to.” Arlene laughs louder, “What makes you think we want to change? You don’t know what we’ve been through! You had the perfect family and childhood! What did I have?” Tisha clicks her pen, “What childhood did you have Arlene?”

== Flash Back ==

A large crash happens in Arlene’s house, Arlene’s head rises from her bed at the thought of another nightmare. A scream is heard from outside her her bedroom in the hall where she just was. Arlene steps out of her bed, opening the door to see her father, mother, and brother all with their hands up as Arlene sees two shadowed figures, one of them pointing a gun towards her mother. One of the shadow figure whispers, “Kill them” before vanishing. BANG! A shoot goes into Arlene’s mother as she drops to the floor and the father tackles the shadowy figure to the floor. Her father and the figure fight, the father yelling to Arlene and her brother, “Run! Go!” Arlene’s brother takes her by the hand as the two run down the stairs to the main entrance, a second shot being heard as they exit the house. “Come one!” shouts her brother, leading them both outside into the pouring rain and their feet touch the cold muddy cobblestone ground. The shadowy figure now exits the house, following the two of them as rain pours down. Their hair and clothes drenched as the two make way for a forest area. Lightning crackles in the distance, Arlene and her brother making their way to the entrance of the forest. Arlene peers into the forest, the darkness scaring her as she starts to cry. “We just need to hide!” yells her brother. As Arlene enters the forest, her brother drops to the ground as a demon released by the shadowy figure sinks its fangs into his chest. “Run!” screams her brother, Arlene horrified as she watches her brother be ripped apart before he screams, “Get out of here!” Arlene turns to run into the forest, disappearing into the dark realm of trees as she hears a bolt of lightning strike nearby her. “It’s only a dream” repeats Arlene, try to convince herself that she will wake up from this story.

== Present Day ==

“I’m not going to help you by asking Tisha to give you a chance,” says Chandler, walking down a street in New Haven with Quinton by her side. “She’ll think worse of you in you have to contact her through a me” adds Chandler. Quinton bites his lip, “I want her so bad.” Chandler rolls her eyes, “It doesn’t help that she’s now the new Crimson and has less time to hang with us.” Quinton nods, “She said she didn’t want any help.” Chandler laughs, “Well that’s stupid, Crimson didn’t want any help and look where that got her. She needs some help if she doesn’t want the same fate as Crimson.” states Chandler. Their conversation stops as a glass window shatter behind them, a girl leaping out of the store and dashing her way towards the Town Hall. “Stop that thief!” yells the store owner, Chandler, and Quinton running after the girl. Quinton fires a water bolt at her, the girl precisely dodging it and twirling around, revealing her face to them. “Stop following me!” yells the girls, her eyes turning red as she unleashes a demon. The girl drops to the floor, her head rocking back and forth as the demon attacks Chandler. Chandler closes her eyes, connecting to the demon’s mind only to poison its insides and killing it on the spot. Quinton runs up to the girl who is now having a seizure on the ground, “Make it stop!” screams the girl. Quinton grabs his head, yelling in pain as he drops to the floor beside her. Chandler runs up, “She’s using her nightmare ability.” Chandler places her hand on the girl's head, her seizure slowing down as she drifts asleep. Quinton stands back up and rubs his head, “What is her problem?” Chandler looks down at a tag on her shirt, “Hello Miss Katherine.” Chandler turns to Quinton, “She works at the store, but she can’t control her powers.” Katherine’s body begins to shake again, “She needs help!” says Chandler, the two picking up her body as they leave the scene of the crime.

The clock strikes midnight as the town of New Haven falls asleep. Silence sweeping the streets as every light in town is now dark. On a small hill on the outskirts of town, a car pulls up, stopping to look at the town before heading down the hill into town. The car drives to a small motel, the lights flickering words of “Motel” shifting on and off as the car parks in place. A cloaked figure steps out of the car, walking to reception as the staff lady looks at him. The figure whispers an unknown phrase towards the woman. Holding out a room key to the figure she replies, “Welcome to New Haven! Please enjoy your visit!” The figure turns, putting the card key in his pocket. Checking the time, the figure retires to the motel room, taking off the cloak which covers the figures dark face as he closes the door. The lights in the room all turning off at once as the moon watches down over the figure.

Loved this episode so much!!!
I dont like crimson tbh
Arlenes back story was very interesting i really love her character
I do think Tisha or Jenni will die this season. I really hope Adore can make it through this season cuz i really like her. I want Crimson to die but i dont think it will happen. A dramatic death from Tisha and Crimson would be cool.

Those are kinda not really the questions thats kinda just some opinions i have :P

I loved it,I feel like maybe Evan was the one who made the letter and he has a big part to play in the storyline
It was a twist to the story,but Crimson isn't trustworthy
It was a sad backstory,but I feel like her brother is Carlisle and is alive,someone we haven't met yet
I wonder who it could be
I feel like more people will die this season because of the amount of characters already in the series

Amazing episode! As always :) I enjoyed how it was more relaxed after the explosive season 2 finale. I agree with macda27 I think Evan wrote the letter to Kate.
I love Crimson, but I definitely felt like her time had come to go. I think Tisha will be a very good teacher!
YASS I LOVE THAT ARLENE IS HAVING MORE DEVELOPMENT. Love Arlene as a character and excited to see where her story takes her.
I feel like it could be Evelyn? Idk I have no idea!
Not yet, I feel like we will definitely say goodbye to a few main characters.

Any Death Predictions for the Season?: Nope not really
Sent by RyanAndrews,Jul 24, 2016
Thoughts on The Episode?:  II think it’s the best premiere we’ve had.  It’s taken how everyone dealt with their hardships into a manner that would be most understandable.
Thoughts on Tisha expelling Crimson/Becoming the Teacher?: I don’t it was smart on Tisha’s part, but I do think it was necessary.  You don’t just forgive someone for almost killing their friend, but at the same time, she can’t teach alone.  She needs help.
Thoughts on Arlene's Backstory?: YAS! I was dying to see this backstory, and I’m glad we’ve finally got it.  It was really sad for this to happen, but at the same time, it explains why Arlene is the way she is.  How it transitioned to the backstory was pretty subtle.  Didn’t think Tisha was the one Arlene would tell her story to.
Opinion on the Ending Motel Scene?: Honestly, I think that’s Carlisle getting the Michonne’s introduction treatment.  But it was a really cool scene, not gonna lie.
Any Death Predictions for the Season?: I’m gonna be honest, I really think one of Arlene/Carlisle will actually die this season.  Probably Carlisle if that is the catalyst Arlene needs if she is going to turn good.  Maybe a Mott too.  If Arlene were to kill a Mott to avenge Carlisle, that would sure be something, and I think that Mott would be Bobby in that case.  Not sure who other than that though.

Some other stuff:
This episode does warm me a bit towards Brittany.  Throughout all of last season, Brittany was so generic that literally everyone else was a better character than her.  But I think what I needed from Brittany was a real sense of empathy or sympathy, which I felt was finally enough for me here to leave an impression on me.

I wonder what Kate’s favorite coffee is.  Lol  She mentioned that Evan’s coffee was her favorite blend, so she and Evan must have a blend that they prefer.  Maybe Sabrina likes this blend as well since her coffee she commented was horrible.

Next, we look at Crimson.  We know she is desperate for forgiveness, but what does she need to do to get that kind of forgiveness she needs?  Tisha is understandably pissed at Crimson, but they need each other still and Tisha needs to realize that.  At what point will Tisha forgive Crimson, and what cost?

Who knew Katherine was prone to seizures?  Why would she get seizures though?  What childhood did Katherine have?  I do find it interesting that Katherine can use seizure to channel her nightmare ability though.  That, I think, is pretty cool.  Also, could it be possible that Arlene and Katherine have a past connection in this story?  Like do their families share the same killer?  It would be a real stretch to guess, but it is possible.

I have a theory that Samuel will go down the same path as Crimson did last season, NOT Tisha.  Samuel lost John, so his hurt is a lot more than Tisha’s is.  My second theory is that whoever killed Arlene’s parents also did something to Katherine, remembering what Katherinee_ put on the bio.  Third, I think a deal will be made between Carlisle and Tisha regarding Arlene, and it may also involve Crimson.  And theory four is that Tisha and Evelyn will have a huge fight that could possibly end in a death.  Now that Tisha knows Evelyn works for Bobby, Tisha wants answers from Evelyn, and she will get them, no matter what the manner is.

You're welcome, Aydanmac01  haha

Anyway, as I read the other responses, I noticed ForYouSelena guess Evelyn for the Motel scene.  Let me just say that there is ZERO chance of that being Evelyn.  lol  Here's why:

- The figure was described as a "he/him/his".  That means the mystery person is definitely a guy.

- The power went out as soon as he walked into his room.  That is indicative of an Energy Descendant, not Air which Evelyn is.

That's why I think that cloaked figure at the final scene of the episode is Carlisle.  He's an Energy Male.  :P

Me @ there being only one Energy Descendant

Thoughts on The Episode?: Wow this was a really good episode. There were many highlights in this episode but I am really liking how Kate is turning out to be. Her personality has much more laid back and carefree behavior, she's funny, and this episode has developed her so much in my eyes. Last season it almost seemed like she had no personality... Kate's becoming a really good character in my eyes. I'm also sure I've mentioned this before but I just love how much Bailey has evolved. When looking back at the series premiere and looking at her now, she's become a really likable character... ofc this could be my bias talking idk. Basically, there were a lot of characters who got some great development this episode.
Thoughts on Tisha expelling Crimson/Becoming the Teacher?: I like this turn for Tisha. I don't think she's going to be successful at it and I'm getting some early Season 1 Rick Grimes vibes from her. However, I think this was necessary for her as a character. She'll likely be getting deceived by Edward/Natalya/Arlene thinking that they've turned 'good' and it bites her in the butt when she lets them out
Thoughts on Arlene's Backstory?: I really liked it. Arlene has reasons for being the way she is and her dark past helps us see some of the tormented memories she is scarred from. Loving her development and I'm curious to see if Tisha will manage to turn her alignment to the good side.
Opinion on the Ending Motel Scene?: I have no clue who this could be!!!
Any Death Predictions for the Season?: I think Kate is going to stick around for a while. I kinda figured she may die for Mac's development but it looks like she's getting development of her own and she's becoming her own character. Crimson is a vital character to the series, even though she has lost her place right now and maybe even some likability (I personally like her still), her death would be like losing a central character. It's like losing Giles from Buffy The Vampire Slayer, it just can't happen.
