Episode Three: "The Green Inside Her"

Deep in the dense forest on the outskirts of New Haven, Bobby and Esdeath circle around a map of the town as Ruthie, and Ivy chat with each other. “So what’s your story?” asks Ruthie, inspecting Ivy. Turning to glance at Ruthie, Ivy doesn’t answer. Ruthie laughs, “Okay then, ignore me.” Ivy stands to walk away from Ruthie, “It’s hard to ignore you where you’re always talking.” Ruthie bats her eyelashes, grinning at Ivy’s response. “Let me guess, abusive parents? Neglected childhood? Want to be valued? “ Ruthie runs up to Ivy and whispers into her ear, “Am I hitting the right nerve?” Ivy turns and grabs Ruthie’s shirt, her eyes glowing a bright pink, “You can’t hurt me.” Ruthie giggles and whispers, “I bet that’s what you said to your parents before they bitch slapped you…” Ivy pushes Ruthie to the ground, getting ready to cast a spell as she is interrupted by Bobby, “Can we stop this for one day?” Ivy sighs, walking away from Ruthie as she stands, “This new girl needs to learn to behave.” Ivy sits on a tree stump, ignoring the current talk. “We’ve all had shit done to us Ruthie. I’m the first one to admit this.” Ruthie skips around, “Oh please don’t tell us your sap story about your parents kicking you and Edward onto the streets because they didn’t want you.” Bobby holds out his hand causing Ruthie to drop to the floor in pain, “Drop it.” As Ruthie cackles on the floor, Bobby returns to Esdeath, the two of them planning the next attack. “I need the coordinates of this Tisha girls house” explains Esdeath, looking down at the map. “Why do you need the coordinates if I already know where it is?” questions Bobby, looking at Esdeath. “If you want my plan to work, you’ll have to trust me,” says Esdeath, the girl now batting her innocent eyes to Bobby. Leaning close to her ear, Bobby whispers something to Esdeath.

“I’m done talking” grunts Arlene, turning away from Tisha who sits in her basement with the three prisoners. Tisha clicks her pen, “Are you alright today? You barely said anything…” Arlene rolls her eyes, “Of course I'm fine, I just don’t want to talk to you.” Arlene looks to her left, Edward still lays in the same position since he has arrived at the basement, only eating enough food to survive. Natalya plays with her hand, lighting it on fire and extinguishing it only seconds later. “Do you want to talk Natalya?” asks Tisha, glancing over at her. Natalya rubs her face, “Once, my parents beat me and I was a good girl, but they expected so much of me…” Tisha begins writing down her statement. Natalya begins to cry, “They wanted to kill me, and sometimes I wanted to let them kill me. Sometimes I wish I could go back and let them finish the job.”  Natalya ends her speech, biting her lip only to burst out laughing as she rolls on the floor, “That’s the best story I've made up yet!” Tisha stands to leave, annoyed by Natalya’s comments. “Can’t handle the heat so you just leave? You’re no better than Crimson” mocks Natalya, her eyes creating a sinister appearance about her. Tisha sharply turns, “Don’t you dare compare me to Crimson! Do you know that she drugged one of my friends? She lost hope in her, but I haven’t lost hope in you…” Natalya moans, “Hope, hope, hope? We’re locked in your basement! There’s no hope for us!” Tisha walks back down the stairs, standing at the barrier as she looks into Natalya’s eyes, “As long as you are fucking breathing, then you have the choice to do what is right. Don’t blame who you are now on hope.” Tisha turns to leave, exiting the basement as Natalya sits in silence.

Bailey walks back into her hideout on the outskirts of New Haven, there stands Jayla who now cleans her crossbow. “So you’re alright now?” questions Bailey, leaning against a table. Jayla nods her head, smiling as she turns to continue cleaning. “Then we can clear the air…” starts Bailey. Jayla stops cleaning, proceeding to put her crossbow away before she sits beside Bailey. “I need to know the truth, do you kill evil Descendants like you told me, or all of them?” demands Bailey. Jayla looks away from Bailey, “I knew that Veronica was offered money by Samuel, she was the easiest to convince due to her family and past.” Jayla pauses for a moment, “I didn’t think she’d actually kill a child.” Bailey takes a deep breath, “I need to go.” Bailey stands to leave, almost exciting as Jayla begins to speak, “Where are you going?” Bailey stops at the door, “This isn’t what I signed up for, I wanted to help people from not having the same fate as me.” The demon who had attacked Bailey was now a distant memory, but it still haunted her. “I’m sorry that we lied, but it’s too late to leave now.” Bailey gives Jayla a weird look, “I can do what I want, and you lied to me.” Jayla stands, “I said I’m sorry, but I still need someone. I can’t be alone.” Bailey turns to leave, “I was alone, and I survived…” Jayla picks up a knife, “If you leave this building, I will cut my throat, and it will be your fault…”

Samuel sits alone in his house, a knock being heard at his door rushes him to lock the door to his study room. As he opens the door, Anthony appears holding a wine bottle. “I came to cheer you up!” exclaims Anthony, making his way into Samuel’s house. “Please come in” mocks Samuel, closing the door as Anthony sets the bottle of wine on a small coffee table. “I thought that with so much sadness going around, you might need something to take your mind off things!” Samuel tilts his head at Anthony, “So you brought me wine at noon to get drunk so I can stop my depression and trade it to become an alcoholic?” Anthony thinks for a moment, “It sounded better in my head…” Samuel takes the wine bottle, putting it in his fridge. “I just thought you might want a surprise” explains Anthony. “Well I don’t have any friends so I wasn’t expecting any…” mumbles Samuel, the situation now awkward. “Come outside for a while, and stop worrying for a few minutes!” says Anthony joyfully, opening the door. Samuel looks at Anthony, “Only for a few minutes.” Both now exit as they start to walk down the street.

Sabrina sits on a couch in Mac’s house as he helps Alexis. “You need to really focus if you want to learn to control your powers” explains Mac, wrapping his hands around Alexis’. Sabrina clenches her fists, watching the events which are unfolding. “Mac! Can you come over here?” asks Sabrina sweetly. Mac doesn’t answer, continuing to help Alexis. Once her eyes turn black, Alexis summons a demon which quickly disappears. Alexis is in awe, “It was so pretty…” Mac nods, giving her a high five. Alexis smiles, looking over at Sabrina who looks annoyed. “What can your powers do?” questions Alexis, staring at Sabrina. Sabrina grins, “Let's say I stabbed you a million times with a knife, I could heal you or put a force field around you.” Alexis jumps into the air, “That’s so cool!” Sabrina rolls her eyes, walking over to Mac as she wraps her arms around him, “I love you so much.” Mac smiles at her, “Right back at you.” He then makes his way back to Alexis, helping her practice as Sabrina begins to bite her nails.

Jenni walks up the pathway to a house, knocking on the door as she waits for it to open. The day was cool, but autumn was fast approaching and the slight breeze was picking up with every day that went by. As the door opens, Crimson appears before her. Crimson looks down, surprised to see Jenni at her house. “May I come in?” asks Jenni politely. Crimson starts to close the door, Jenni stopping her from doing so. “What do you want?” says Crimson, ready for Jenni’s revenge. “I came to say sorry” begins Jenni, looking at the current state of Crimson. Her clothes were old and complexion was fading. Her face is pale and Jenni smells the odor of alcohol on her breath. “What?” moans Crimson, confused by Jenni’s motives. “I came to say that I'm sorry for failing you. That I wasn’t strong enough at that time to control my powers. I’m sorry that you felt that the only solution was to drug me and send me away.” Crimson opens her door, “Well I'm here, please make fun of me or do whatever you came to do.” Jenni lifts her hands, wrapping them around Crimson as she hugs her. Crimson is now in a state of confusion, “What are you doing?” she whispers to Jenni who now backs up. “I am here to forgive you for what you did, and I hope the next time that we meet, we can rebuild what we had before.” Crimson looks away as Jenni now starts to depart. Crimson watches as Jenni makes her way further away, “Jenni!” screams Crimson as Jenni stops to face her. Crimson pauses for a moment, unsure if she should tell Jenni the truth. “Thank you…” says Crimson, closing her door as Jenni now walks away, the two women now reflecting on their past actions.

As evening comes to the town, Sabrina and Chandler walk to Tisha’s as they talk to each other. “I’m annoyed with Mac” confesses Sabrina, rubbing her face from a headache. “Is this the first fight of the Sac relationship?” asks Chandler, looking at the night sky. “He’s spending so much time with this Alexis girl, and it’s really annoying…” Chandler looks at Sabrina oddly, “It isn’t like you to be envious of another girl. Maybe the green inside of you is just because you like Mac?” states Chandler. Sabrina shakes her head, “I don’t trust that Alexis girl, she seems too sweet and innocent.” Chandler smiles, “Yes, because there can only be one sweet and innocent girl named Sabrina in the world.” Sabrina rolls her eyes, “I would like that.” Chandler quickly turns around, noticing a dark figure behind them from several footsteps. “Did you see that?” asks Chandler, Sabrina turning to face the same way as her. “See what?” replies Sabrina. The dark figure passes by Chandler again who turns in another direction to catch a glimpse, “There!” yells, Chandler. Sabrina sighs, “It’s just a tree…” Chandler looks around, “I swear there is someone following us… I saw him the other night!” Sabrina puts her hand on Chandler’s shoulder, “It’s just the night sky playing tricks on you, let’s go home.” Sabrina begins to pull Chandler away from the scene as the dark figure hides behind the tree.

Tisha welcomes Gabriel and Angel into her house, letting them sit in her living room as she fetches them some beverages. “So how did you two meet again?” asks Tisha, giving them each a soda. “I was at the bar and then a fight happened and Angel saved me!” Tisha inspects Angel, “You must be some guardian angel then..” Tisha sits, looking at Angel. “So tell us about yourself, people don’t just show up in this town for no reason” states Tisha, crossing her legs as she takes a sip of her drink. “Well, I’m just a traveling nurse who stopped in this town for a day, found myself being almost assaulted until Gabriel stood up for me.” Tisha watches for Gabriel’s reaction, the boy smiling at Angel’s story. “No offense Angel, but your story seems too good to be true” notes Tisha, nobody just puts themselves out there to save someone. “But I did because Gabriel told me I'm like you guys! I thought I was alone…” Tisha rolls her eyes, “Enough with the sappy story, who are you really?” Angel gazes in Tisha’s eyes, “I am who I am” responds Angel. “My parents died when I was young, so I became a nurse to help others so they would have the same fate” explains Angel. “She’s so strong” adds Gabriel, not taking his eyes off her. “She’s hiding something,” thinks Tisha, the doorbell cutting off her train of thought as she stands to answer the door. “You can stay Angel, but I hope you can tell us more about you in the future” finishes Tisha as she opens the door. In Front of her, a little girl stands as blood drips down her face. “My name is Tori Michaels, and I need your help,” says the girl as her eyes turn black and she collapses into Tisha’s hands.

Hmm, it wasn't the best, but still a fine episode
Natalya and Edward are too far gone at this point.  Edward's not gonna help Tisha any and Natalya's just gonna keep lying to her.  As for Arlene, I don't know.  Tisha has too much on her plate already.
No.  Jayla has not been entirely honest with Bailey, so Bailey really has no reason to stay with the Justice Syndicate any longer.
That was probably the best part of the episode.  I really thought Jenni would exact revenge on Crimson, but forgiving Crimson was really big of Jenni to do.
Tori is just like Katherine.  She is trying to get Tisha killed.

Not even bias but Ivy is my least favorite.
Alexis & Sabrina honestly were hilarious this episode.
Tisha is a power player.

This episode is a 9/10 (but every episode is AT LEAST A 9.)

Anyway, what really brought the episode down for me was Sabrina.  She has been nothing but a clingy Debbie Downer towards Mac.  More about it in the upcoming assessment.

Icarus_Mark Thanks for the input! I think this Ep was a buildup for what's to come but I'm glad you liked the Jenni scene :)

Wow me slaying this episode. Sac is just too real!
There was a lot of build up moments and a lot of moments where I felt like it would connect to moments in the future (if that even makes sense LOL)
Natalya is a bitch, but sure to Queen Arlene. Edward, I agree with Mark he is too far gone now. I still see something with Natalya though, even if I hate her.
No! Queen Bailey needs to get out of there. She has done her time and I don't think its the place for her.
YES MY 2 QUEENS MAKING UP AND UNITING AS QUEENS
Tori is gonna be a bitch. I feel like she might play the new Natalya role.

Thoughts on The Episode?: Really enjoyable! I liked every segment. Especially the one where Jenni forgave Crimson... I also wonder if Chandler is going to eventually confront the shadow?
Should Tisha Continue to aid Arlene/Natalya/Edward?: I don't think Natalya and Edward can find redemption in all honesty. Natalya is careless and Edward has already lost his son so I definitely dont think he'll come around. It may not be too late for Arlene though. However, something needs to happen to the other two before we start seeing progess i think.
Should Bailey stay with Jayla?: I think Bailey should still leave. Something about Jayla just seems suspicious. It's almost as if Jayla is trying to keep Bailey there for somebody else to come get her, especially since before Bailey mentioned leaving Jayla said she was fine. Of course, Jayla could just be depressed and just wants a friend too so idk :p
Thoughts on Jenni forgiving Crimson?: I loved this, especially for Crimson.
Predictions for Tori's part in the Story?: I have a feeling she's going to be somehow related to Angel. It's almost too coinidental for her to show up as soon as Angel does! Tisha has a right to be suspicious!

Yes, i think she should talk to edward next
Yes, I would like to learn more about jayla because when she said she would harm herself that shocked me.
sweet but still shocking
She killed her family and now they have to hide her from the cops

Thoughts on The Episode?: very interesting
Should Tisha Continue to aid Arlene/Natalya/Edward?: Definately. She might get herself into trouble, but she's doing the right thing.
Should Bailey stay with Jayla?: hekskdnfbedn I don't know
Thoughts on Jenni forgiving Crimson?: Dumb move
Predictions for Tori's part in the Story?: Not sure what her age is, like whether she's a child or teen, but that could definitely weigh in on her backstory and motives.

Questions:
Thoughts on The Episode?:
Should Tisha Continue to aid Arlene/Natalya/Edward?: No, I feel aiding these 'villains' will ultimately lead to this seasons climax in which I feel Natalya will lead a revolution against the other descendants.
Should Bailey stay with Jayla?: I feel the Bailey and Jayla arc will be more catered to suit Jayla rather than Bailey so with this being said, Bailey will stay with Jayla but I'm thinking that they may gain a 3rd member?
Thoughts on Jenni forgiving Crimson?: I feel it was a vital move, forgiving Crimson assures her the knowledge of knowing that someome still wants to acknowledge her involvement in recent events.
Predictions for Tori's part in the Story?: My prediction is that Tori is a person from someones past which will be explored as the season progresses
