Season Finale: "Revelations"

The sun stands high in the sky, days have passed since the events of the tornado and the deaths of Evelyn and Edward. The residents of New Haven suspect the tornado to be an ordinary storm that was passing through, blind to the truth of the matter. Crimson and Tisha stand before the burnt house which Crimson had lived in, had taught in, and the house which had brought everyone together. Both of them stand, looking over an area on the lawn, gravestones now in place with multiple names reading, “Evelyn”, “Edward”, “Gabriel”, “Quinton”, “Mia,” “Natalya,” “John”, and “Ariel” all lay scattered across the lawn, wreaths placed under a gravestone for each of them. Crimson puts a hand on Tisha’s shoulder, “She would want you to carry on.” Tisha looks down at Evelyn’s grave, she was gone in an instant. She had kicked her out of her house, and then she came back to save her, and now she was dead. Tisha and Crimson turn to walk away, leaving the graves to rest in peace.

Mac sits in his house, the living room silent as he waits, looking out his window at the devastation caused by the tornado. He glances over at his front door, hearing a knock. Opening the door, Sabrina shows herself with a small smile. “I was scared for you when the tornado happened, no one knew where you went” explains Mac, smiling at her. Sabrina bites her lip, looking down in embarrassment, “We were just fighting again and I couldn’t take it, I couldn’t take Alexis, I couldn’t take anything.” Mac looks into Sabrina’s eyes, “Crimson says you lost a part of yourself when you died, is that true?” Sabrina sighs, shrugging her shoulder as she answers, “I don’t know, I don’t know if I feel different or what it is…” Mac groans, “Why didn’t you just tell me that? I could have helped if I knew what was happening.” Sabrina shakes her head, “Do you think I understood what was happening to me? I wanted answers just as bad as you did, and you spending time with Alexis didn’t help either of us.” Mac rubs his head in frustration, “What happened to the old us? We never used to be like this.” Clenching her hands, Sabrina answers, “Shit hit the fan, the world changed, and I think we drifted.” Sabrina now turns, walking around Mac’s deck as she looks around into the distance, trying to occupy herself. “Do you remember our first date in the dinner? The place where we met Anthony, the place that your Sister showed up at? Do you remember how our first date was terrible, I couldn’t understand why you had ditched me? I was scared that you had gone for someone else. We’ve been through worse than this, I’ve literally died in front of you…, No, we can get through this” says Sabrina, turning around once more to see Mac’s saddened face. Mac sighs, gripping his hands on his door, “I’m sorry Sabrina, but I just don’t think I can handle this anymore.” Sabrina rushes up to him, “What do you mean…?” Mac looks down, unable to look her straight in the face, “I think we need to be by ourselves for a while.” Sabrina stands there shocked, “Are you breaking up with me?” Mac doesn’t answer, closing his door as Sabrina is left alone on his deck.

“Esdeath and I used to know each other,” says Crimson, now sitting in Tisha’s living room. Chandler, Wendy, Brittany and Adore all sit around her, waiting for her to answer their questions. “So I know that we’ve somewhat forgiven you for when you lied, but why didn’t you tell us about your past?” asks Adore, glancing over at Chandler who remains quiet. “The name I was born with was Norissi, but certain events occurred in my past which ultimately led me to be born again as Crimson Wilson” explains Crimson, leaning back on her seat. “It’s an anagram,” says Chandler, crossing her legs, “Norissi Wimlic is Crimson Wilson but just jumbled up.” Crimson nods her head and smiles at Chandler, “Perceptive of you to pick that up, barely anyone I meet is able to distinguish such a fact.” Chandler thinks back to her vision, trying to piece together the pictures of the past. “So why was your name on a gravestone, and why was it in the same graveyard as Sabrina’s family?” questions Chandler, wanting answers. Crimson exhales before speaking, “In my past, my actions were seen by others and ultimately led them to believe that I had perished. Unknown to them, I had performed a certain spell upon myself; an immortality spell.” Brittany, Adore and Wendy exchange looks before Chandler continues, “So you can’t die?” Crimson shakes her head, “I couldn’t die, but as you can see, I died and now I am here. Every spell can be undone, and this spell was undone.” Chandler tilts her head, “How was it undone?” Crimson doesn’t answer for a moment, the wheels in her head turning before she responds, “The way in which I had died, it undid the curse.” Wendy coughs and tries to pipe in, “What exactly does The Orb do?” Crimson shifts her head to look at Wendy, “What makes you think I know?” Wendy counters her questions with, “Well you sure knew more before and didn’t say anything.” Crimson stares blankly at Wendy, the girl was becoming more and more intelligent since the loss of Mia. “It’s an energy enhancer primarily, but it can also be used as a mechanism to create an Ultimate Descendant” notes Crimson, revealing all she knows. “Well how does someone become an Ultimate Descendant?” asks Brittany, trying to add input into the discussion. Crimson starts tapping her foot on the ground, “That my dear, I don’t know.”

Tisha sits beside Samuel, his arm is shackled to one of Tisha’s spare beds as he lays on it. “Why did you do it?” asks Tisha, looking down at Samuel with pity. Samuel doesn’t answer, staring straight up at the ceiling. A noise is heard as Tori and Angel walk in, the girls joining Tisha for moral support. Angel tries to remain composed, looking at Samuel only reminded her of the death of Gabriel. “You can talk to us Samuel, we’re here to understand” explains Tori, trying to show compassion towards him. “I did it for him, only him…” mumbles Samuel, continuing to stare at the ceiling. “He’s gone.. and I did it.. And he’s gone.. And I did it…” stutters Samuel, continuing to not blink. Tori puts a hand on his shoulder, causing Samuel to shift his head and stare at her. “I thought it’s what he wanted...but he’s gone…” mumbles Samuel, continuing to ramble on. “Edward to Bobby and Bobby to Esdeath but Bobby to John and John to Natalya and Natalya to Esdeath and Esdeath to Edward and Edward to Danny and Danny to Veronica…” moans Samuel, Tori and Angel looking at each other in confusion at his statement. Samuel pauses for a moment, “Veronica to Danny...Danny to Veronica...Veronica to Danny…” Samuel’s head lightly vibrates, shifting his eyes to Tisha, “I did Veronica to Danny…” Tisha sighs, somewhat understanding Samuel’s stuttering. “He told Veronica to kill Danny” notes Tisha, standing up to leave the room as Tori and Angel follow.

Outside of Tisha’s house, Violet stands as she waits for someone. Jenni appears, getting out of a car as she hugs Violet. “I’m glad that you are alright after everything that has happened,” says Jenni, happy to see her friend. Violet grins in joy, “I finally understand what you want, after what has happened, peace is the only attainable goal that can come from this world.” Jenni sighs, looking up at the sky before speaking, “I used to think like that, but now I'm not so sure.” Violet looks at her oddly, “I don’t understand…” Jenni grabs Violet’s hands, “After being at the Ferris Institute, after Crimson drugging me, after the deaths of The Funeral, after the tornado, I’m not sure what to believe anymore.” Violet stares at Jenni, “Yes, but killing people isn’t right and I think most people know that…” Jenni smirks, “I know Violet, but there are things about myself, things about others which I cannot comprehend. Before I can spread anything in the world, I need to understand myself.” Violet nods her head in agreeance, “Well let me help you…” Jenni lets go of Violet’s hands, “You can’t help me discover myself Violet, to do that I must do it on my own.” Violet notices a suitcase behind Jenni, turning to look at the car which Jenni walked out of and noticing it to be a taxi. “What are you doing…” asks Violet, unsure of Jenni’s motives. “I’m leaving New Haven, and I’m not sure when or if I'll return” confesses Jenni, smiling at her friend. Violet appears shocked, “But you don’t need to leave to discover yourself…” Jenni exhales, picking up her suitcase as she examines Violet, “I promise that we will see each other again, I’m just not sure under what circumstances.” Violet shakes her head, “Please don’t leave me… I don’t want to be alone again.” Jenni steps inside the taxi, taking one final look at Violet, “You’ll always have Tisha and the others.” The taxi then departs, leaving Violet on the side of the road as she watches Jenni disappear, her only friend now gone.

Back inside Tisha’s house, Arlene and Carlisle sit in her kitchen, the two of them talking to each other as the rest of the Descendants sit in the living room. “Why didn’t you want to help in the battle before” questions Carlisle, his ominous eyes entrancing Arlene. “It’s not like these people are that useful to us, she was keeping me locked up as a prisoner” explains Arlene, trying to defend herself. “And yet you saved Chandler’s life, why did you do it?” asks Carlisle, intrigued with his sister. Arlene pauses for a moment, thinking to herself before she answers, “I’m not sure, because you told me to.” Carlisle takes out one of his hunting knives, placing it before Arlene as she gazes down on it. “A knife can be used to kill, and also to help. Just because my knife is meant to kill, doesn’t mean it must listen to its purpose” notes Carlisle, his explanation confusing Arlene. “A knife is meant to kill, that is its purpose,” says Arlene, trying to share her knowledge. Carlisle picks up an apple from Tisha’s kitchen, slicing it in half as he gives a piece to Arlene. “We all have a purpose in life, and the blank canvas before us holds a picture that no one can see. Can a knife be nothing more than what it thinks it can be?” questions, Carlisle, making Arlene pause to think. Arlene bites her lip, understanding what Carlisle is trying to say. “If you give things a chance, maybe you can discover something else about yourself,” says Carlisle, taking a bite of his apple as he looks at Arlene. Arlene looks down at her apple, pondering Carlisle’s words.

Chandler exits Tisha’s house, making her way home as she hears someone call out her name. Turning around, she sees Bailey running towards her. Chandler smiles at her friend who now stops beside her. The two stare at each other for a moment, both of them then hugging each other. “I was so scared for you” cries Chandler, glad to see her friend. Bailey takes a step back, “Wipe your tears away bitch.” Chandler laughs, the two girls now walking together towards Chandler’s house. “Everything with the Justice Syndicate is just crumbling into the ground and I can’t be there anymore” explains Bailey, exhaling at being free of the human drama. Bailey stops as Chandler turns to face her, “I do have something I have to ask though” says Bailey, Chandler noticing her nervous demeanor. “Without Jayla, I don’t really have anyone left anymore, but I was wondering… if I could join the Descendants.” Chandler looks at Bailey with a hint of interest, “What do you mean?” Bailey shrugs her shoulders, “I don’t know how I could be helpful, but I know that humans and Descendants have to be able to work together to live in peace.” Chandler smiles, “I’m sure that could be arranged!” The two girls hug once more before Bailey says, “Remember when I used to be such a bitch before I got attacked by the demon?” Chandler laughs, “We’re past that! Let’s go tell Tisha!” Bailey and Chandler turnaround, running back to Tisha’s house as they smile beside each other, the two old friends were now back together.

Kate sits in Evan’s house, her body vibrating as she waits for him to return to the kitchen. Hearing footsteps, Kate stands as Evan walks into the room. “What are you doing in here? You can come back to bed if you want” advises Evan, checking out Kate who wears minimal clothing and a robe on. Kate sighs as she grabs Evan’s hand and brings him around into the kitchen. “What are you doing?” asks Evan, wanting to get back to bed. “I’ve been lying to you about something, and if we’re to keep doing what we’re doing, then I have, to be honest with you” expresses Kate, looking around the kitchen for an object. Evan sits down on a kitchen chair, “I have no idea what you’re doing…” Kate place a small plant in front of Evan, it’s wilted leaves giving it a brown discoloration. Kate holds out her hand, “Just watch and see.” Evan watches as she holds out her hand, Kate’s eyes slowly turning green as Evan’s eyes widen. The wilted plant returns to its green self, growing in size as Evan’s mouth drops open. Kate lowers her hand, looking over at Evan who now stands. “Get out!” yells Evan, afraid of Kate. Kate looks at him in confusion, “Just please let me explain! I’m not a-” Kate is unable to finish her words before Evan hits her, knocking her against her wall as blood begins to run down her nose. Kate’s hand touches her nose, her eyes seeing the blood as she begins bawling. “Get the fuck out!” screams Evan, grabbing a knife to defend himself. “Please..stop Evan…” Evan waves the knife around, scaring Kate out of the house as she runs onto the street. Evan slams his front door shut, “What was she? That M-m-monster…”

== Flashback ==

As Arlene runs into the shadowed forest, the demon sinks its teeth into Carlisle’s body. Carlisle looks up at the night sky, his family was now all but dead as his eyes slowly close. The demon cuts into Carlisle’s chest as blood pours out. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes from the clouds above, the storm becoming more and more intense. The bolt of electricity hits Carlisle, a scream coming from his body as it starts to convulse and shake violently. Carlisle’s eyes turn yellow, a giant explosion of electricity is emitted from Carlisle’s body as it eviscerates the demon on top of him. Carlisle’s eyes return to normal, his breathing increasing as his open wounds cause his severe pain. Dragging his body away, Carlisle vanishes into the woods as the two hooded figures which killed Carlisle and Arlene’s family watches from the distance. “They got away…” mumbles one of the figures, turning to leave. The other dark figure watches as Carlisle disappears, “It doesn’t matter, we will meet him again.” The shadowed figure takes off her cloak, revealing herself to be Esdeath. “We will continue on with the plan, we shall never fall off the course.”

Episode Nine: "Eye of The Storm

Anthony lays on the ground, coughing up blood as he gasps for air to speak, “Samuel..h-he is doing-...” Tisha tries touching his body, her skin slightly burning due to the effects of the Kharine. Quinton’s mangled body lays scattered around the battlefield as Gabriel’s body lays still on the ground, the body now pale from Ruthie’s deadly shot. “B-bronze thing… Town hall” mumbles Anthony, trying to stay awake. Angel runs over, trying to hold herself together as she attempts to heal Anthony. “It’s no use,” says Crimson, observing Anthony. “Kharine is unaffected by magic, therefore only human medicine will save him at this point.” Angel focusses harder, a bit of Anthony’s skin returning to his body. Esdeath drops the gun from Bailey’s head, hearing Samuel mutter about the bronze object. “I was foolish to think that you imbeciles had it” groans Esdeath, annoyed by her plan being sidetracked. “This may seem like a terrible time, but all of us must get to Town Hall” explains Esdeath, talking to everyone. Tisha stands, “What are you talking about, you just killed Quinton and Gabriel.” The wind begins to pick up as the clouds around New Haven turn black, a strong gust forming in the air. “That bronze object which your friend is describing is called The Orb. It’s an energy enhancer, capable of making the weakest opponent undefeatable” notes Esdeath, revealing what she was looking for. “If your friend is telling the truth, then we are all in grave danger. We must get to Town Hall and stop the person who has this device, or New Haven may be destroyed, along with all of us” reveals Esdeath, her news sparking whispers in the groups. “How can we trust you?” asks Kate, standing beside her brother Mac. “I’ve forged worse alliances, but if I die, my work has all gone to waste. The clouds begin to spin as a funnel cloud appears at Town Hall, its column descending towards the ground with the signs of a tornado about to form. “We must go now, I will not wait for you” finishes Esdeath, herself, Ivy and Ruthie now running towards the middle of the town Ruthie retrieves her gun, holding it to Bailey’s head as they continue to hold her hostage. “We have to go,” says Crimson, looking at Tisha. “Whatever Samuel is doing, he must be stopped, or innocent people will die.” Tisha sighs, looking around at her demoralized group, their faces full of fear. “Let’s go then” announces Tisha, the group now moving towards the Town Hall.

Tisha and the others run through the street while other citizens hide in their homes for protection, the funnel cloud now touching down as it evolves into a tornado. The wind pushes against the group's movement, feeling as if it were a solid wall. With every step closer to Town Hall, it becomes harder to move. Town Hall becomes visible to the group, seeing a small figure on the top of the building, the tornado now starting to move as it destroys everything in its path. The oak tree which once stood in the town hall park now rises, levitating into the air from the force of the wind. The tornado slams through the park, destroying the peaceful scenery as benches are ripped from the ground and sucked into the vortex. Projectiles from the vortex fly around, being shot in different directions. “Look out!” screams Adore, noticing objects coming towards them from the wind. A wooden bench hurls its way towards Jenni who dodges, the bench slamming into a nearby home. Wendy and Brittany are thrown back from the strong winds, regaining their balance as they continue on. As the group arrives at Town Hall, the tornado inches its way closer to them. Esdeath looks up to the top of the building, watching Samuel. “We have to bring him down, or else we shall die” commands Esdeath, Ruthie and Ivy listening to her orders. Jenni steps forward, “We didn’t agree to this, you said we just had to stop him…” Esdeath looks back at her, “He’s going to have to die, there’s no way of stopping him.” Jenni shakes her head, “This isn’t what we stand for, this isn’t right.” Esdeath sighs, “Then I guess you’ll have to die as well.” Esdeath quickly snaps her fingers, Ruthie and Ivy start attacking Jenni and the others as Esdeath makes her way into the Town Hall, trying to reach the top of the building. Demons spawn around her, starting to attack the others as well. Chandler closes her eyes, tapping into Ivy’s mind as Ivy does the same. The two fight once more, both trying to destroy the others mind. Demons run towards Jenni who fires bolts of electricity towards them, her eyes turning yellow as she draws power from city lights and other objects around her. Ruthie starts to shoot at Kate, who rises plants up from the ground as a shield around her. Vines appear out of the group, trying to wrap themselves around Ruthie who shoots them. “Okay mother nature, taste this!” cackles Ruthie as an onslaught of bullets fire towards her. Ruthie starts to spin around in a circle, maniacally shooting in all directions. Edward summons a demon who attacks Ruthie, the sharpshooter not giving up as she head shots the beast. She shoots a bullet which hits Edward in the leg, cackling in joy at her bullseye. Edward closes his eyes, trying to enter Ruthie’s mind to give her a nightmare. Ruthie holds a hand to her head, trying to keep the nightmares out of her head. Bailey lays on the floor, tied up as she drifts closer and closer to the oncoming tornado. Angel helps Anthony, both of them struggling to stand. “You shouldn’t be here, it’s not safe,” says Angel, urging Anthony to get inside a house. Anthony and Angel move closer to the Town Hall, “I have to do this…” whispers Anthony. Tisha and Crimson cast spells on the remaining demons, eliminating most from their presence.

Edward stands back up, the bullet having gone through his thigh making it hard for him to stay centered. Ruthie halts her shooting for a moment, the winds blowing intensely as Ruthie and Edward stand before each other. “Hello old master,” says Ruthie, smiling at him. “This isn’t what Bobby would have wanted,” says Edward, putting a hand on his thigh to try and stop the pain from the open wound. Ruthie looks away for a moment, glancing at the tornado. Ruthie sighs, “I had no one, and Bobby took me in. Now Esdeath has taken me in. I’m sorry” says Ruthie, pointing her gun at Edward. Kate uses, this time, to sneak by Ruthie, going over to free a bruised Bailey. Ruthie begins to fire with Edward who dodges her attacks. Edward is shot in his leg, falling to the ground in pain. Ruthie looks at him, pointing her gun at his face, “Please forgive me.” Before she can shoot, a demon tackles Ruthie to the ground. Katherine is shown to be in control of the demon as Ruthie turns to face her, “What are you doing you stupid bitch?” Katherine’s hands shake, “I don’t..I don’t know. I can’t control it!” Ruthie’s body collapses onto the floor, her mind going unconscious. Katherine rushes over and drags Ruthie’s body into the Town Hall, “I didn’t mean to do it…” Tisha looks over at Edward who still lays on the ground, blood oozing out of his wounds. For a moment, Edward looks over at Tisha, the two of them looking into each other's eyes and forgetting about the tornado, the pain, the misery of their lives. The moment is ended as the oak tree which flies around in the sky comes hurling its way towards Edward, slamming itself into his body. The cracking of every organ in Edward’s body is heard as his face is now only visible, his eyes barely open. A white light begins to blind Edward as a vision of Danny appears before him. “It’s okay dad,” says Danny, holding his hand out to his father. Edward reached out his hand, touching his son's hand as he takes his last breathe on earth. His eyes closing as he lays still and dead. Tisha takes a deep breath, knowing she cannot mourn anyone right now and carries on in the battle.

Esdeath reaches the top of Town Hall, looking at the other end of the roof to see Samuel, his hands in the air as he controls and summons the tornado. In one of his hands, Samuel hold The Orb, granting him more energy than ever. Samuel turns around to face Esdeath who holds out her hand, casting a bolt of water at him. Samuel sends a wave of the wind towards the water, slicing through it before it can reach him. Esdeath repeats the attack over and over again, each one being cut short by Samuel. Finally, Esdeath creates a wave of frost, sending it towards Samuel to freeze him alive. Samuel spins around, creating a mini vortex which sends the wave of frost back towards Esdeath. Covering her face, Esdeath opens her eyes to see her legs frozen, her body immobile as she struggles to break free. Samuel now levitates off the ground and flying closer and closer into the tornado. On the ground, Ivy manages to get inside Chandler’s head, making her faint and fall over to her side. Wendy, Brittany, and Adore rush over to Chandler, trying to get her to wake up as Ivy passes by them, stepping closer to Tisha before she enters her mind. Tisha drops to the floor, screaming in pain as blood starts to come out of her ears. “You’re pathetic, killing your friends gives me pleasure” echoes Ivy’s words inside Tisha’s mind, blood also running down her nose. Ivy draws closer and closer to Tisha, Crimson trying to defend her friend before a demon pulls her attention away, forcing her to protect herself. “It give me great pleasure to kill you, Tisha,” says Ivy, blood now coming out of Tisha’s eyes. Out of nowhere, a person dashes by Ivy, knocking her back. Evelyn reveals herself, sending a wave of the wind towards Ivy to knock her back. Arlene and Carlisle soon arrive, rushing to Tisha’s side to check if she’s alright. Evelyn goes over to Tisha’ her eyes barely open. “Ev-Evelyn?” mumbles Tisha, the blood now stopping from coming out of her. “I’m here to make things right,” says Evelyn, placing a finger over Tisha’s mouth and urging her to rest. Evelyn now stands back up, her eyes turning cyan as wings appear out of her back, her body levitating off the ground as she starts to soar around in the sky. Tisha looks up, her body resting on the pavement as she watches Evelyn enter the middle of the tornado.

There’s a certain silence inside the tornado, a calm serene breeze floats through as Evelyn glides around in the eye of the storm, soon finding Samuel floating around near her. Samuel and Evelyn both send currents of the wind towards each other, both knocking them off balance as they fly around, dodging each other's attacks. Evelyn flies close, dashing into Samuel from the side as he is knocked back. “You need to stop this,” says Evelyn, looking at Samuel. Ignoring her, Samuel sends another bolt of the wind at her, throwing her back as she falls out of the vortex and back into the wrath of the tornado. Samuel stands alone in the silence for a few moments, his attention turning once he hears the echoes of someone's voice. “You’re making a mistake…” echoes John’s voice, Samuel looking around for him. “I’m doing this for you! Edward is dead for you! Soon everyone who needs to be will be dead too!” shouts Samuel, trying to find John. John appears before Samuel, holding the picture of the two of them which Samuel once had. John looks pitifully at Samuel, “What happened to the person I knew in this picture?” John’s ghost disappears, the picture blowing away in the gust as Samuel begins to look around once more, “No! Please don’t leave me, John…” Samuel looks down at everyone fighting, seeing Tisha injured and Edward dead. He sees the destruction that his tornado has made, the park he once stood in with John which they both had walked in. “No…” mumbles Samuel, clenching his fists. “It wasn’t supposed to be like this!” A giant force now pushes against Samuel, Evelyn flying back in and pushing him towards the ground. Out of the tornado, they both fly as Evelyn grips onto Samuel, slamming his body into the concrete ground. Evelyn and Samuel both lay on the ground, the orb which Samuel hold now rolling out of his hand. The tornado now begins to face, leaving a small breeze as the sun peeks into the sky, announcing the arrival of morning. Samuel rests his body on the ground, unable to move from the collision into the ground. Evelyn tries to move, feeling a crack in her leg as her form of movement let is her ability to fly. Violet looks around, no noise being heard. Esdeath appears out of the Town Hall, small pockets of frozen ice attached to her legs as she struggles to move, inching her way over to Samuel’s body and retrieving The Orb. An injured Ruthie and Ivy now return to her, both of them hurt from the battle. Esdeath grabs Ruthie’s gun, pointing it at Tisha and firing it. A dash happens as Tisha closes her eyes, opening them to find herself not shot. In front of her is Evelyn, her body a few feet off the ground from her ability to fly, a bullet now in her heart as she drops to the ground. Tisha screams, seeing her dead cousin on the ground as she crawls over, shaking her dead body in hopes that she’ll wake up. Esdeath uses this time to escape running away with Ivy, Ruthie, Katherine, and The Orb.

There is a moment of silence, the center of New Haven was now destroyed. Tisha cries over Evelyn’s dead body as Crimson tries to comfort her. Tori covers her eyes. Alexis grasps onto Mac's hand. Anthony limps over to Samuel, resting his head on Samuel’s chest, his burnt skin now starting to dry up. Samuel doesn’t move, knowing this was his fault. He glances over at Edward’s dead body, taking a deep breath. Wendy approaches Samuel, rubbing her hand over his head, “It’s ok.. I’ve been where you are.” Wendy continues her stroking, easing Samuel off to sleep as the rest of the group looks around, trying to grasp what just happened. Chandler wakes, looking around her to see the conclusion of the battle. Chandler eyes suddenly close, her mind traveling back into the past as she returns to the one vision she had. She finds herself once more in a graveyard, seeing the younger version of Sabrina as a child mourning over her family's graves. A crow watches from the tree again, staring at Chandler. Sabrina soon departs, leaving Chandler alone once more. “Why do I keep getting visions of this?” mumbles Chandler, confused while looking around. She bumps once more into the grave of “Norissi Wimlic” staring at the boldened letter. “What does this mean…” thinks Chandler, trying to understand what her vision is telling her. The crow which watches Chandler now starts to fly around the grave of “Norissi Wimlic”. More crows join in, soon covering the grave before all departing and revealing the grave once more. The grave no longer says “Norissi Wimlic”, instead, it reads, “Crimson Wilson”. Chandler gasps, returning to the present as she awakens with a scream, looking over at Crimson who stares at her. “Who are you…” mumbles Chandler before she faints once more.

Episode Eight: "United We Stand"

Night remains over New Haven, the grim darkness surrounding everything as the only source of light comes from street lights. This time belonged to no one, evil lurks in the shadows. An uncertainty fills the air, praying for the sun to rise and to grace them with a happy morning.  Footsteps are heard in the distance with Esdeath appearing, making her way to the center of town. She wears a black cloak, masking her dark hair and hazel eyes with the hint of a sinister smile. Ivy and Ruthie dawdle behind her, maintaining their positions behind Esdeath as she makes her way closer and closer to her objective. The wind skins across Esdeath’s body, not breaking from the cold as she now arrives at a park. Esdeath stands in front of a tree, the same oak tree which Samuel stood under not a day ago. She marvels at the height and grandness of the tree, raising her hand before saying, “Bring it down.” Ivy closes her eyes as Ruthie unveils a chainsaw, letting loose the machine as his chomps its way into the crust of the tree. The tree moans and shrieks in horror as the saw which Ruthie holds slices through it, leaves falling off as the pale moon watches from above. Ruthie cackles in delight and sings, “Chop, chop, timber!” The tree creaks and begins to fall to one side, Ivy opening her eyes with her poison ability having no effect on the tree. The tree falls beside Ruthie who rejoices as the plant slams into the ground, a magnificent sound being heard for a second before silence fills the air again. Esdeath circles around the tree, seeing a hole inside of the trunk as she sticks her hand inside, pulling her hand back out after finding nothing inside. Ruthie watches Esdeath obediently, her new master seemed more menacing than Bobby ever was. Ivy remains neutral, crossing her arms as she waits for Esdeath to finish her business. “The Orb is gone” announces Esdeath, clenching her fists in frustration as she turns to leave the scene. “We will have to do things the hard way” adds Esdeath, grinning at Ivy. Esdeath passes by Ruthie, paying no attention to her as the three of them exit the park, the oak tree remaining collapsed on the ground.

The time reaches closer to morning as across the town, Descendants pour into Tisha’s house. The living room is crowded with clumps of people who wait for Tisha to appear. “I wonder why this was a mandatory meeting,” says Adore, looking at Brittany who stands beside her. “All I know is last time Tisha taught us a lesson, she almost lost her marbles” replies Brittany, thinking back to when Tisha was in such a stressed state. Adore and Brittany turn to look at the front entrance as Wendy walks in, smiling as she makes her way over to the two girls. “Glad you could make it” greets Adore, starting the small talk. “Well, it was mandatory” points out Wendy, making Adore’s face turn red. “Okay, Einstein” snaps Adore, offended by Wendy’s comment as she leaves to talk to someone else. Brittany and Wendy look at each other, “This interrupted her beauty sleep I think” jokes Brittany, shaking her head at Adore. “It’s fine, I’ve done far worse” replies Wendy, bringing Brittany over to the corner of the room. “I’m sorry for what I put you through,” says Wendy, expressing her deepest apologies. “It wasn’t cool what I did” notes Wendy. “But I’m moving past it now.” Brittany gives her a hug, “Shit happens, I'm just glad you’re still here to move on.” The two girls smile at each other and chat as Gabriel and Angel enter Tisha’s house. Gabriel holds Angel’s hands, the girl seemingly nervous around all the new people. “You’re going to make a lot of friends” encourages Gabriel, smiling at Angel.

Mac and Sabrina enter Tisha’s house, Sabrina’s small grin fading away at the sight of Alexis. “How are you two?” asks Alexis, her innocent appearance frustrating Sabrina. Mac grabs Sabrina’s hand, “We’re doing fine.” Alexis smiles back at them, “Well that’s good.” Gabriel walks over and pulls Mac away, introducing him to Angel as Alexis and Sabrina are left alone. “So how’s your day going?” asks Alexis, trying to talk to her. “It’s fine” answers Sabrina, abruptly ending the talk by facing away from Alexis. “Why do you hate me?” mumbles Alexis, looking at Sabrina’s back. “Ugh, why are you so annoying?” moans Sabrina, rolling her eyes. “I’ve never done anything to you!” cries Alexis, her face frowning. “You’re taking away Mac from me!” yells Sabrina, a few other heads in the room turning towards the two of them. Mac returns to Sabrina, “What are you doing?” Sabrina pushes Mac back, “Forget it Mac! I’m sorry that I died and you’d rather spend time teaching Alexis than be with me. It’s a true testament to who you are…” screams Sabrina, the rest of the Descendants watching the scene unfold. “He’s just teaching me! It’s not like we’re having an affair behind your back” replies Alexis, crossing her hands as whispers from other people are heard around the room. “I just came here earlier to ask for ways to help you, and I can’t believe you would do this. This didn’t have to be a public spectacle, but you made it that way” says Mac, disappointed in Sabrina’s actions. “Whatever” replies Sabrina, turning to walk out of Tisha’s house. “I don’t know why she’s like this” explains Mac to Alexis, checking to make sure that she is alright. “It’s not her fault” answers Crimson, walking into the room and stands before Mac. Tilting his head at Crimson, Mac asks, “What do you mean?” Crimson sighs, “When Mia read my book to resurrect people, she didn’t know the effects of bringing someone back from the dead. When someone comes back from the dead, they lose a part of themselves.” Mac looks at the ground in silence. “In this case, Sabrina has lost a part of herself which controlled her envy and jealousy.” Alexis bites her lip, ashamed at fighting with Sabrina. “Can we help her at all?” questions Mac, trying to find a way to aid Sabrina. Crimson shakes her head, “I don’t know.”

“We found her trying to steal some of our supplies” explains Ivy, lifting the bag on her head to reveal Katherine’s face. Esdeath looks at Katherine’s face, Katherine saying nothing to Esdeath. Esdeath stares into her eyes, “You’ve been through a lot I see.” Esdeath stands back up, turning to contemplate. Ruthie watches Ivy and Esdeath from a distance, a part of herself wanting to shoot a bullet in Katherine’s head, but another part of her scared to do so. “Was she able to steal anything before you caught her?” asks Esdeath, facing away from the other. Ivy reveals Ruthie’s gun, “She was able to steal her gun.” Esdeath glances at Ruthie, shaking her head in disappointment. Ruthie shrugs her shoulders, her heart beating faster and faster. “It’s an impressive accomplishment to be able to steal a weapon from one of my associates. Release her” commands Esdeath, turning to look at Katherine. Ivy takes the shackles off Katherine’s hands, stepping back from her in case she attacks. Katherine rubs her wrists as Esdeath approaches her, “You seem to be a lost soul, but I think I can show you the way.” Esdeath points at another body with a bag over their face, Ivy lifting it to reveal Bailey’s face. Esdeath stands beside Katherine as she looks at Bailey, “You’ve joined us at an important time.”

Tisha descends the stairway with Tori and an injured Chandler beside her. The room goes silent as Tisha stands before everyone, Tori and Chandler going to stand in the crowd. Tisha looks around, almost everyone was there. Edward stood alone, outcasted by the other for obvious reasons, Arlene and Carlisle stand beside each other, Arlene’s face looking pale and her eyes red from not long ago discovering her long-lost brother. Kate joins Alexis and Mac who sit next to one another, and finally Jenni and Violet entered last, the two keeping their distance from the rest of the group. Tisha pauses for a moment, inhaling before she speaks, “Not long ago, I stood before you at a funeral to remember the lives we lost. Ever since then, things haven’t felt the same to me. The funeral felt like an illusion to me, something I didn’t want to admit that happened, but it did. We lost Mia and Ariel, and we lost much more. Truths were revealed which I wish had never come to fruition.” Tisha pauses, taking another breath and continues, “We lost something more, we lost our spirit. Before everything, we had regular teachings, and our group was more unified. What happened to us?” Tisha shakes her head, “I-I-can’t” mumbles, Tisha, trying to continue. “I lied to you all” states Crimson, stepping to stand beside Tisha. “I drugged Jenni, that’s how she ended up at the Ferris Institute.” Whispers and gasps break out through the crowd as Crimson continues, “I lost hope in what we could accomplish, I lost hope in myself. I took an easy way out to solve my problems, and I think that’s what we’ve done after the funeral. We looked away from what really matters, we went our own ways and fell even further.” Crimson looks around as everyone watches her, “I’m not asking you to forgive me, I did what I did, but please don’t repeat what I did and leave, we’re stronger together.” As Crimson finishes her speech, the room fills with silence, people looking around as Tisha smiles at Crimson. “United we Stand” giggles Adore, quoting a book she once read. Muffled voices agree with her as rejoice fills the room, people cheering at Tisha and Crimson. The two of them hug, Tisha whispers, “Thank you.” Crimson inches her way a step back from Tisha, regaining her professionalism, “All in a day's work.” The voices of joy and happiness are soon cut off as Tisha glances at Quinton who sits near the back, just entering the room.

Tisha excuses herself, making her way over to Quinton as she motions the two of them to head out to her front porch. The two stand outside in the dusk morning, the sun having yet to reveal itself. “Why didn’t you show up on time?” asks Tisha, looking out at the night sky, the moon slowly descending. “I was busy, but I’m here now.” Tisha nods her head, accepting his answer as they both say nothing for the moment. “Why are we out here?” asks Quinton, looking confused at Tisha. Tisha looks at the floor, turning to face Quinton’s direction, “Crimson told me what you did” admits Tisha, looking at Quinton. “I don’t understand, what did I do?” asks Quinton, biting the inside of his cheek. Tisha moans, “You helped drug, Jenni.” Quinton says nothing, his heart sinking as his face turns pale. Tisha grins, “So you have nothing to say.” Quinton doesn’t answer her. “Of course, no never have anything to fucking say.” Quinton starts to speak, only to be stopped by Tisha, “No, you don’t get to explain yourself, you could have told me before.” Tisha takes a step towards him, “Get the fuck off my property.” Tisha starts to enter her house as Quinton says, “I did it because I love you.” Tisha turns back and laughs, “You love me? If you loved me, you would have told me the truth! I never even asked for Jenni to be drugged…” Quinton grabs Tisha’s arm, “She was dangerous back then…” Tisha rips her arm away from Quinton, “And you’re the dangerous one now.”

Both of them are interrupted by the sound of beast howling echoes in the air. Out of the darkness, Esdeath appears with Ivy and Ruthie who trail closely behind. Katherine reveals herself a few steps away from Esdeath, keeping her distance. Quinton and Tisha stand on the porch as Crimson makes her way outside at the sound of the demons. “Tisha! I’m going to make this short and sweet, give me The Orb.” Tisha looks at Esdeath confusingly, “I don’t have anything that belongs to you, get off my lawn!” Esdeath sighs, “Fine then, I guess we have to do this the hard way.” From inside Tisha’s house, people peer out the window, watching the spectacle unfold. Esdeath winks at Ivy who reveals a tied up Bailey, her eyes filled with tears as Ivy places her hand on Bailey’s head. “If you don’t give us the orb, we will have no choice but to make a demonstration of our power by killing her” threatens Esdeath, showing the hint of a sinister smile. Chandler gasps, limping her way outside of the house to look at her friend. “No” answers Tisha, clenching her fists at Bailey being captured. “Fine then” replies Esdeath, raising her hand as the demons around her begin to charge their way towards Tisha’s house. Crimson holds out her hand, her eyes turning red as fire exits the palm of her hand and makes a straight line through the ground, cutting off the demons from passing through to Tisha’s house. “So annoying” moans Esdeath, raising her hand as water pours out, extinguishing the flames as the demons continue their approach. Crimson steps onto Tisha’s lawn and begins to fire bolts of flames at the demons. Esdeath glares at Ruthie, “What are you doing? Shoot them!” Ruthie looks at Esdeath in fear, pointing her pistol at Tisha as she begins to fire. Tisha closes her eyes, about to be hit by bullets as a force field appears around her. Tisha’s eyes peek open, seeing Angel beside her. Mac and Alexis race out of the house, trying to help protect everyone. Mac’s eyes turn green as giant plants sprout out of the ground, trapping some of the demon’s in the ground. Alexis tries to summon a demon, unable to perfect the spell. Quinton passes by the two of them, shooting bolts of water at the demons. “What are you doing?” asks Tisha, having just told him to leave. “I’m not going to let them kill you” answers Quinton, placing himself in front of Tisha. Bullets ricochet off Angel’s forcefield, flying inside Tisha’s house as Wendy and Adore duck behind furniture. Screams are heard inside the house as people cower on the floor. Brittany stands, holding a hand out to Wendy and Adore, “It’s time to not be scared anymore.” The three girls appear outside the house, Wendy going invisible with her powers to sneak behind the demons and fight them. Adore stands beside Crimson, the two of them combining their fire attacks to make a wave of heat, evaporating the demons. Brittany closes her eyes, entering the mind of Ivy as Ivy closes her eyes, the two poison Descendants trying to destroy the others mind. Bailey remains shackled, unable to move as a muffled scream is heard from her, trying to get people to come over and save her. Gabriel watches Angel who defends Tisha, feeling inspired to help. Gabriel shoots a line of magical energy towards Ruthie who dodges, her mind being overwhelmed from the fighting and becoming recklessly hyper. “You missed me sweetie!” taunts Ruthie, drawing Gabriel in closer. A demon lurks up behind Mac, jumping on his back, only to be thrown off by a demon created by Edward who now helps him. Edward placing himself beside Mac as the two play off each other's attacks.

Carlisle reveals his hunting knife, looking over at his sister Arlene who looks undisturbed by the scene unfolding. “We have to help” explains Carlisle, looking at Arlene to join him. Arlene looks at him, “I don’t know, these people haven’t really helped us at all.” Tisha screams as Angel’s forcefield is broken and a demon pounces on her. Carlisle begins to walk out the door as he says to Arlene, “They helped you find me.” Carlisle throws his knife at the demon, the electricity from the blade entering the demon’s skull as it drops over onto the floor, the dark blood soaking into Tisha’s clothes as she stands with a small injury on her arm. Kate remains with Tori, both of them hiding inside Tisha’s house. “You haven’t learned to control your powers,” says Kate, “It’s better if I hide to protect you.” Tori closes her eyes, hiding behind Kate as the two girls stay in Tisha’s basement. The lights in Tisha’s house flicker as Jenni exits the building, electricity flying everywhere as Violet remains at her side. Jenni screams, releasing a wave of electricity and killing multiple demons. Esdeath watches Jenni, impressed by her power. Chandler limps towards Bailey, trying to help her captured friend as a demon stabs its teeth into her injured leg. Chandler collapses, the demon about to sink its fangs into her neck before a hand appears on the demon’s head, Arlene ripping out the demon’s own fang and stabbing it in the eye. “This is for bringing Carlisle to me,” says Arlene, saving Chandler life. Esdeath yawns, “This is boring me now.” She snaps her finger, Ruthie hearing the snap as Gabriel draws closer. Closing his eyes, Gabriel teleports himself behind Ruthie, ready to attack her from behind. Gabriel opens his eyes, his teleportation spell having worked, only to feel the metal on a weapon against his head. Ruthie smiles, “Checkmate.” A loud bang is heard as Gabriel’s body drops to the floor, his eyes remaining open as the bullet in his head lets blood seep out. Angel screams in horror at the sight, dropping to the floor in devastation. Esdeath snaps her finger again, a group of Demon’s surrounding themselves around Quinton before tackling him to the ground. Quinton fires water bolts at the demons, killing a few before one of the demons get close enough and bites on his arm, ripping the socket of the arm off. Quinton yells in excruciating pain, fainting at the sight of no arm. More demons crown around his unconscious body, feasting on his flesh. Tisha looks away, unable to watch Quinton’s body be ripped apart. As this all happens, Alexis closes her eyes, all of Esdeath’s demon’s stopping their actions as they turn their attention towards Alexis. The demon’s circle around her, bowing at her command as the other watch. “How can she do that…” gasps Edward, himself not even capable of such an act. Mac smiles, “She just needed the practice.” Alexis commands the demons to vanish, the creatures doing so accordingly. Esdeath runs over to Bailey, ripping Ruthie’s gun out of her hand and holding it to Bailey’s head, “I’m done with these games.” She places her finger on the trigger, stopping just second before the killing blow at the sight of a new person. People shriek in disgust and horror as a man crawls towards them, his skin having been peeled off his body and his hair all but gone. Tisha recognizes him as Anthony, rushing over to help the burned man. “S-s-Samuel…” moans Anthony, wailing from his unbearable pain.

As the sun now peaks it’s head out from the horizon, the first few rays of sun hit Samuel’s skin as he stands on top of the Town Hall building, holding The Orb as it turns back on. Samuel holds out his hand, his eyes turning cyan as the wind begins to pick up. Clouds begin to form around the town, his hair now blowing to one side of his body. His picture of John flies out from his pocket, flying away in the wind as he channels his powers. “They deserve this” grunts, Samuel, “Get ready for a storm.” The wind grows in strength as a funnel cloud starts to appear from the storm.

Episode Seven: "The Unraveling"

Kate’s laughter echoes into the sky as she and Evan make their way out of a movie theater. Kate spins around to smile at Evan, grasping his hands as she tugs on him. “Thanks for taking me out,” says Kate, grinning at him. Evan smiles as the two walk towards the parking lot. Evan opens the door to his car for Kate, then proceeding to get in and drive to his house. Arriving at Evan’s house, Kate steps into his home, looking around for the first time at his peaceful abode. The rooms are messy, expected from a single man in his twenties. Kate walks into his kitchen, noticing a wilted flower in a vase on top of his counter. Kate walks over to the flower, touching it lightly as she turns to see Evan. “So what do you think?” asks Evan, sitting on his kitchen counter. “You’ll be lucky to have a neat wife someday” answers Kate, playfully joking with him. “It’s not like I need to please anyone,” says Evan, trying to be sarcastic. Kate tilts her head, “You could please me.” Kate bites her lip, winking at Evan as he gets off the kitchen counter. “So what do you do for fun other than dating girls?” questions Kate, circling her way around the kitchen island to reach Evan. “I do whatever I feel like” flaunts Evan, raising his eyebrows at Kate. Looking around the room, Kate picks up a small picture showing a small boy surrounded by adults. “Is this you?” asks Kate, inspecting the picture. Evan looks at the picture, plucking it away from Kate as he gazes at the faces. “Just my family,” says Evan, his smile slightly fading. Kate puts her hands back on the picture, Evan looking back up at her as he sets the picture aside. Evan moves closer, finally kissing Kate as she wraps her arms around him. The sensation lasts for multiple seconds, although it feels like minutes for Kate. The two pull back, Kate’s beaming expression making Evan happier as well. The two start to talk once more as Kate glances towards the wilted flower, the plant no longer withered or wilted but look brand new. The flower glows a light pink as Kate turns her attention back to Evan.

Tisha walks through her house, startled to see Evelyn standing in her kitchen like previous times. Chandler sleeps on Tisha’s couch, the girl still healing from the past battle. Evelyn stays quiet, looking at Tisha. “Why didn’t you help us?” mumbles Tisha, clenching her fists. Evelyn doesn’t answer,  instead, she looks over at Chandler, watching her sleep. “You can’t try to protect me and then return to Esdeath’s side. You did nothing in that battle to help us and since Bobby is dead, I'm fair game now” accuses Tisha, crossing her hands and leaning on one of her legs. “I’m trying to-” Evelyn says before she is interrupted by Tisha. “No, you’re not, you’re not trying to protect me. I don’t know what you want from me Evelyn. You show up here, secretly work for Bobby, fake your death, reappear at my friends funeral’s and kill my other friends, show up here and try, to tell the truth, what are you really up to?” Evelyn sighs and speaks, “Before I came to New Haven, I was struggling to control my powers once I had discovered them. Bobby found me, helped me, took me in and showed me how humans can be evil.” Tisha’s eyes widen, “I don’t understand how you can say that an entire race is evil.” Evelyn raises her hand, “But that’s the point, I discovered that Bobby wasn’t telling the truth, I had been brainwashed to think a certain way.” Tisha shakes her head, “I don’t believe that Ruthie was with Bobby, and she is a human.” Evelyn looks at the ground, “Yes...b-” Tisha cuts her off, “No! Stop making excuses for yourself. Stop lying to me. This is why no one liked you as a kid and still why no one likes you now!” Evelyn raises her voice, “I just want your forgiveness! I messed up. Bobby was going to kill you for believing humans to be equal to us, I had to spy for him or you would be dead right now.” Tisha bites her lip, “Just please leave, I can’t trust you anymore.” Evelyn starts to walk towards Tisha’s front door, turning to say, “You know I can never come back to New Haven. Bobby may be dead, but Esdeath might know that I’m connected to you. I can’t risk being here…” Tisha faces away from Evelyn, “Just go.” Evelyn walks out of Tisha’s house, getting into her car as she is seen driving out of New Haven.

A knock is heard at Tisha’s door moments after Evelyn departs. Tisha groans, heading to the door and open it, surprised to see Mac standing there. “I thought you were someone else…” sighs Tisha, relieved to see Mac. Tisha welcomes him inside, Mac standing in her living room now. “I think we have a problem.” Tisha looks at him awkwardly, “What do you mean?” Mac sits down, “It’s Sabrina, she isn’t the same anymore.” A small voice comes from beside Mac, “Well she did die, it’s not like you’d be able to understand what she’s going through.” Chandler’s eyes peek open, smiling at Tisha and Mac. Tisha grins back at Chandler, happy to see her awake. Tisha looks around at her two friends, “What happened to us? Ever since the funeral, we’ve all become distant.” Chandler laughs, “Life happened, everyone is trying to find themselves after seeing what happened to Mia.” Tisha nods, “Jenni isn’t here, Sabrina isn’t here, Quinton isn’t here and I feel like we’re forgetting about each other.” Chandler coughs, “Ever since Crimson left, we’re all kinda lunging out into the world. I think Crimson was the glue that held us all together in some way…” Mac shakes his head from stress and frustration, “I just don’t know what to say to Sabrina.” Chandler glances over at Mac, “Maybe it’s not what you say, but perhaps she just wants you to listen. You two have kinda grown distant and the time you could be spending with Sabrina is now being spent with Alexis.” The three of them slightly nod, smiling at each other.

Another knock at Tisha’s door interrupts their conversation. Crimson steps inside Tisha’s house, holding her hands behind her back. “May I speak to you alone?” whispers Crimson, staring at Tisha. The two girls retreat to the kitchen, leaving Mac and Chandler in the living room. The atmosphere in the kitchen is tense, neither Crimson or Tisha saying a word. “What did you want?” questions Tisha, sitting at her kitchen table. “I-I-I want…” mumbles Crimson, trying to phrase her thoughts. “Just say whatever you have to” replies Tisha, thinking nothing she could say would ever make her feel worse. “Thank you for helping Chandler, she might be dead right now if it weren’t for you” adds Tisha, gleaming a small smile at Crimson. “Quinton knew about Jenni’s drugging, he actually was the one who convinced me to do it.” Tisha’s mind freezes, her eyes widen at Crimson’s unraveling. Tisha nearly falls off her seat, putting her hands on her head as it starts to throb in pain. “What did you say?” asks Tisha, thinking she misunderstood Crimson. “Quinton knew about Jenni’s drugging and once it happened, he blackmailed me to keep it a secret. Tears begin to come out of Tisha’s eyes, “Why would he do that?” Crimson bites her lip, “He was scared for your safety around her and he didn’t want you to find out about his involvement.” Tisha begins to sob, “That’s all you wanted to tell me?” Crimson looks at the floor, holding her composure, “I also wanted your forgiveness, to be welcomed back here.” Tisha emits a small laugh, “You drugged Jenni, and you kept this secret, what makes you think I can trust you?” Crimson looks at Tisha, “Because I told you the truth…” Tisha shakes her head, “That doesn’t mean we can just forget what you did! Actions have consequences. You told us a long time ago that these powers were gifts, and then you try to get rid of Jenni?” Crimson’s body starts to vibrate. “I made a mistake! Yes, we have special gifts to help other, but I chose the wrong path. Everybody can make a mistake, but I want to be forgiven! I want to teach you, I need you and Chandler and Mac and Sabrina and the others in my life. I’m nothing without others…” yells Crimson, a single tear coming out of her eye. Crimson closes her eyes, embarrassed to be showing emotion. Tisha places her hand over her mouth, the first time Crimson had shown her vulnerability to her. “I need time Crimson, I don’t know what to believe anymore…” answers Tisha, smiling at Crimson. “Tomorrow there’s a lesson here, you can come if you want” adds Tisha, Crimson returning the smile as the two shake hands.

Upstairs, Tori stares at the wall as Katherine twists and turns in her bed. Katherine has a fever, gripping her hands on her head to quell the headache inside of her. Katherine moans from the pain, unable to sleep. “I think you need some help,” says Tori, trying to reach the door, only to be stopped by the invisible barrier spell cast on the room to contain them. Tori begins slamming on the barrier, trying to break through it as Katherine’s eyes turn black. Tori looks back at Katherine, her body convulsing on the bed as Katherine stands, her black eyes looking past Tori who looks fearful. Katherine raises her hand, creating a demon which spawns in front of her. “You can’t break the barrier!” yells Tori, cowering in fear of the demon. Katherine points at the barrier, indicating her demon to attack it. Swiftly, the demon tackles the barrier, being thrown back as he continues over and over again. After many attempts, Tori hears the sound of a thousand shards of glass shattering. Tori looks around, the barrier now becoming visible as its shattered pieces fade away, leaving the two girls free. Katherine’s eyes return to normal as her body collapses onto the ground, the demon picking Katherine’s body up before smashing through the wall, breaking out of Tisha’s house. The door to the room slams open, Tisha running inside at the sound of the large noise, startled to see one of her walls gone. “Katherine is gone!” screams Tori in fear, crying into the palm of her hands. Tisha looks around the room, noticing the wall which the demon broke through. “She’s sick..” mumbles Tori, talking about Katherine. “I was just supposed to come here for Mada…” moans Tori, Tisha instantly turning towards her. “What did you just say?” asks Tisha. Tori sniffles, “Mada… she's my grandmother.”

Tisha sits in her living room alone, Chandler sleep beside her as Tori remains upstairs and rests in another bed. “Tori and Mada? How is that even..” mumbles Tisha, unable to think clearly over the events of the night. “Things just seem to be getting worse the more I try.” Tisha ponders for a moment, an idea appearing in her mind. Tisha smiles, thinking her idea might work. The sound of a door creaking open spins Tisha to look around the room, seeing Edward appear from the basement. His face is pale and the transition from total darkness to light from within the house made him cover his eyes. Tisha stands in amazement, never thinking for Edward to appear outside of the basement. “Do you need any help?” asks Tisha, ready to fetch him what he needs. “No, do you need any help?” replies Edward, looking at her. Tisha shakes her head, “What happened to you, Edward?” He looks back at the basement, Edward remembering Danny’s appearance to him as he answers, “I lose my son, I lost my life, I lost so much…” Edward approaches Tisha, kissing her before Tisha pushes him back. “Edward stop, that was a long time ago and we were different people then” commands Tisha, not ready for a romance. “Then just please let me help you, help someone, I need something to live for” pleads Edward. Tisha places a hand on his heart, “Live for yourself, live to help others.” Edward looks at the ground, trying not to cry in front of a girl. “I’m doing something tomorrow, I'd be happy if you could come to it” explains Tisha, grinning at Edward. Looking away from her, Edward nods his head in approval, ready to do what Tisha wanted.

Elsewhere, Anthony knocks on the front door to Samuel’s house. The door inches open, Samuel nowhere on the other side. Anthony peeks inside the house, all the lights off as her enters. “Hello?” he says, trying to find Samuel. Anthony wanders through the house, seeing science posters around the house as he stumbles upon Samuel’s study room, noticing the door to be unlocked as he sneaks into the room to find Samuel. Anthony stumbles in, shocked to find maps of New Haven everywhere, pictures of John plastered around the wall, a large vault containing poison and a small bronze orb on Samuel’s table. Anthony walks over to Samuel’s computer, clicking it on as an extensive map is revealed. On the computer also shows a spellbook and a picture of the bronze orb. Words of an unknown language are also found on Samuel’s computer, confusing Anthony before he gasps, seeing something on the computer. The door beside Anthony slides shut as Samuel stands in front of the door. “You shouldn’t be in here” utters Samuel, giving Anthony an evil grin. Anthony steps back, “I didn’t mean to, I was just looking for you…” Samuel sighs, walking around the room. Anthony points at the computer, “What is this?” Samuel stops, “It’s what has to be done.” Anthony shakes his head in horror, “But you can’t! It’s not right…” Samuel laughs, “Nothing has been right for a long time in this town.” Anthony moves closer to the door, “This isn’t you Samuel, you don’t have to do this…” Samuel shakes his head, “I have to do this for John.” Anthony begins to sprint to Samuel’s front door and thinks, “I have to warn her, warn them!” He arrives at the front door, twisting the knob of the door and finds it to be locked from both sides. A powdery substance appears from behind Anthony, a cloud of power engulfing Anthony as he screams in pain as the power burns his skin. Anthony drops to the floor, Samuel watching his friend squirm around on the floor. “Don’t worry, it’s only Kharine. It won’t kill you, but it will slow you down. I can’t let anyone stop me, Anthony, John has to be avenged” proclaims Samuel, moving around Anthony as he opens the front door to his house with a key, exiting his home as he wanders away holding the bronze orb. Anthony remains on the floor, his skin beginning to peel from the burning of the Kharine substance.

Episode Six: "Those We Couldn't See"

John now stands before Samuel, slightly smiling as Samuel begins to cry. Dropping to the floor, Samuel’s eyes pour out tears as they hit the floor. John crouches over, looking into Samuel’s eyes. The first signs of morning appear, rays of sunlight peek inside Samuel’s house that help illuminates John’s appearance. Samuel holds out his hand, going to touch John’s body as it passes through John’s transparent body. Samuel pauses, holding his hand as it cuts through John’s ghost-like body. “Why are you doing this?” asks John, standing back up as he looks down on Samuel. The bronze object dimly glows in the background, Samuel glances at it for a moment before looking up at John, “I’m doing it for you.”

Wendy’s eyes open, finding herself lying in her bed. Her vision is blurry as the candles in her room remain lit. Her window blinds now open let in the morning light with Adore and Brittany sitting beside her bed. Wendy moves her head, looking up to her ceiling to notice that the rope which supported her neck is now sliced in half. Brittany rises, inching her way over to Wendy before slapping her across the face. Brittany tries to maintain her firm composure, her body slightly vibrating. “You’re such a fucking idiot,” says Brittany calmly, trying not to yell at Wendy. “How dare you call me and say you’re going to end your life. Don’t make us feel guilty for your actions” continues Brittany, her eyes blood red from staying up to guard Wendy against doing something stupid again. Adore remains quiet in the background, looking down at the floor in disappointment. Brittany paces around the room, “I don’t know what you want from us Wendy, we’re trying to be your friends but you’re closing yourself off from us.” Wendy turns her body, covering her face with a blanket on her bed to hide her shame. Brittany sighs, trying to stay relaxed, “Stay here and don’t do anything, we need to phone Tisha and tell her what you’ve done” commands Brittany, Adore standing to follow her as they exit the room. Wendy’s bedroom goes silent, Wendy starting to cry as a small breeze forms in her room. Wendy hears footsteps as someone sits down beside her, the person releasing a deep breath. “What has happened to you,” says the person, Wendy now revealing her face as she notices that it isn’t Adore or Brittany. Wendy screams, locking eyes as the person is revealed to be Mia. Wendy starts to hyperventilate, closing her eyes. “This is just a dream, please don’t let me have visions…” Mia places her hand on Wendy, ceasing her hyperventilation as a warm glow of heat transfers to Wendy’s body. “This isn’t a dream” announces Mia, the ghostly girl smiling at Wendy. Brittany and Adore are heard slamming against Wendy’s door, trying to get back into her room. The door remains locked by a mysterious force as Mia rises, “I don’t have much time.” Wendy peeks out from under her blanket, watching Mia travel around her room. “It’s so good to see you” mumbles Wendy, barely able to make out words. Mia holds a hint of a smile, “I told you not to spend your time mourning me, you’re supposed to be doing great things.” Wendy bites her lip, “We were best friends, you were everything to me…” The knocking from Brittany and Adore continues to sound as the girls talk. “I chose the path that I wanted by saving Sabrina” explains Mia, sitting on the edge of Wendy’s bed. “I feel so alone…” adds Wendy, the girl still in tears. “I am here with you every moment. Be strong every moment of your life.” Wendy starts to nod her head at Mia’s comment. Mia stands and goes to hold Wendy’s hand, “Live the life that I couldn’t.” Wendy shakes her head in agreeance, wiping her tears away. Mia stands back up, tilting her head to look out Wendy’s window. Looking into the distance, the breeze inside Wendy’s room begins to pick up once more. “Sometimes you have to let go to move forward, but don’t worry, I’ll always be with you.” Mia’s body begins to fade back into nothing, “Also, please slap Brittany for us in the future? She needs a taste of her own medicine sometimes” giggles Mia, her body now disappearing. The room now grows quiet once more, Wendy looks around as she faintly laughs. The door slams open as Adore and Brittany rush in, seeing Wendy laughing alone in her bed.

Crimson walks home, the battle with Esdeath now over. She didn’t feel welcome at Tisha’s house, and with Jenni’s presence there, it didn’t feel right to be there. A cool breeze forms as it touches Crimson’s face, blowing her hair to one side. Crimson quickly turns, igniting her hand on fire as she hears footsteps coming from behind her. Her old teacher Mada stands before her, the feeble old woman still cheerful as ever. Crimson approaches Mada, holding in her emotions. “How…” whispers Crimson, unable to explains Mada’s appearance. “Someone has activated The Orb” replies Mada, the wrinkles on her face being visible to Crimson. Nothing had changed about Mada, even in ghost form she still looked joyful. “What happened to you Crimson? What had become of you?” questions Mada, pitying her apprentice’s current state. “I made a mistake… J-Jenni…” responds Crimson’s, trying to explain herself. Mada takes her apprentice’s hands, “There is no perfect human in the world, and no perfect Descendant. We all make mistakes, but we can all learn from them, and carry on.” Crimson looks down at the ground, “I’ve failed you, Mada…” Mada tilts Crimson’s head back up, “Nonsense! Every now and then we take the wrong path, and sometimes we just need a little guidance.” Mada smiles and she turns, beginning to walk away. “We never stop learning Crimson, just because you teach other, doesn’t mean you can’t stop to learn for yourself.” The breeze picks up once more, Mada’s body vanishing into the distance as Crimson is left alone. “We all make mistakes…” repeats Crimson, Mada’s words not leaving her mind.

Mac and Sabrina drive back to his house, coming from Tisha’s where Sabrina informed him on the earlier events of the evening. “I could have came with you, it’s not safe for you to fight Esdeath by yourself,” says Mac, giving heck to Sabrina for her actions. Sabrina crosses her arms, “Chandler was dying, I wasn’t just going to let her die like I did. I don’t need you to do everything with me, I mean I'm sure you were doing more important things like helping Alexis with her powers” snaps Sabrina, looking out the car window. “She has improved a lot ac-” replies Mac before he is cut off by Sabrina, “Can you just shut up about her? God, every time we’re together you’re talking about her.” Mac increases the speed of the car as he responds, “She is quite talented.” Sabrina laughs, “I bet.” The two of them going silent as the car drives further down the street.

“I’m glad to see that you’re moving on” smiles Ariel, her ghostly body greeting Anthony in his house. “How is this even possible?” mutters Anthony, his mouth wide open. “I cannot explain it to you, but you will find out in the future. Those which humans cannot see normally are appearing to those close to them” answers Ariel, Anthony’s old friend comforting him. “You need to help Wendy and Samuel, their souls are lost. Their fates are not sealed yet” adds Ariel, dressed in all white. “Are you in a better place now?” asks Anthony, looking at his friend. Ariel smiles, “I’m with the others, and we’re always watching over you.” Anthony goes to hug Ariel, his body going through hers. “Only we can touch you, but the thought of you touching me again will happen one day” explains Ariel. Ariel’s body begins to fade, “Just remember Anthony, don’t take life too seriously, or you’ll find that time just flies by.”

Darkness surrounds Edward as he lays in Tisha’s basement, now alone as he tries to sleep in peace. A small gust picks up in the basement, soon Edward feeling a small hand wrap around his palm. The body snuggles around him as he opens his eyes to start crying. With his is Danny, his son snuggling with him while he can in their dwindling time. “You never got to  hold me while I was dying, so I'm letting you now” whispers Danny, his heat transferring to Edward. Danny lets his father rock him back and forth, the little child closing his eyes as his father soothes him to sleep. “You need to get out of this cell brother,” says another voice, Bobby also appearing to Edward. Looking around, Edward doesn’t question what is happening, he just lets it unfold. “Don’t let our deaths go in vain” adds Bobby, leaning against the metal wall. “Please don’t trust that bitch Esdeath,” says Natalya, her ghost form appearing to Edward. “Look around you, all of us have died for the side you fought for, maybe it’s time for a change in plans” whispers Danny, enjoying his final moments with his father. “I’m sorry son…” answers Edward, tears falling onto the ground. Danny opens his eyes, “Don’t be sorry, just go help others so they don’t have the same fate as me.” Danny’s body now fades away, Edward now cuddling nothing but thin air. “Take care brother,” says Bobby, now fading away as well. “Adios, no sappy comments from me,” says Natalya, rolling her eyes as her body disappears, Edward once again alone, but not the same as he was before.

Jayla sits alone in one of the many hidden rooms in her hideout, the Justice Syndicate having no new jobs for her. Bailey sits in the other room, not willing to let Jayla kill herself. “Get over it,” says a voice, Jayla looking around the room to see where it is coming from. “Bailey?” says Jayla, looking confused. “You were never the brains of the operations,” says Veronica, now showing herself to Jayla. Pouting her face, Jayla holds the gun to her head, “This isn’t funny whoever you are…” Veronica steps towards Bailey, smacking the gun out of her hand. “You need to stop this” demands Veronica, looking at Jayla with disappointment. “You’re the one who died” shouts Jayla, angry at Veronica’s ghost. “That was my fault, and now you’re making Bailey feel guilty for your emotions? The Jayla I knew would have never done that…” expresses Veronica, placing a hand on her hip. Jayla screams at the top of her lungs, “This is all your fault, you were my friend and you left me!” Veronica moans, “I’m not going to make this a pity party, I died, move on.” Jayla rubs her head, “But how…” Veronica points to the other room, “There is a girl in there who won’t leave this hideout because she’s afraid that you’ll kill yourself. She could have left, there’s nothing keeping her here. But she stayed, she stayed because she had no one once, and she knows what it’s like to be alone. We brought her in, and now she’s making sure that you aren’t alone.” Jayla doesn’t answer, knowing that she is in the wrong. “So can you just shut up with this crap and move ahead? Bailey and you can just as good of friends as we were. Look, she’s in that other room.” Veronica’s ghostly body now goes away, leaving Jayla in solitude as she contemplates.

Jenni and Violet sit inside Tisha’s house as they sit in her kitchen. “You can stay here for as long as you need,” says Tisha, trying to be compassionate towards them. Jenni touches her head, the aching feeling of a migraine getting stronger and stronger as she clenches her fists. “I can’t do this…” mumbles Jenni, looking down at Tisha’s hardwood floor. Tisha leans on her counter, “What do you mean?” Jenni looks up at Tisha, “I’m trying to stop the inevitable, why do I promote peace when it will never happen?” Violet pats Jenni on the back, “You just need patience and hope.” Jenni laughs, “Well Natalya is dead now. I didn’t like her, but no one deserves to die.” Jenni shakes her head in guilt, “I was drugged, tortured, lied to, and now I feel powerless again” moans Jenni, her foot tapping the floor. “I know my word probably means nothing, but I value it” replies Tisha, smiling at Jenni. “You can’t find peace by avoiding life, and nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it, Jenni.” Jenni grins at Tisha, “Thank you.”

Outside on Tisha’s house, Arlene and Carlisle sit on her lawn, Natalya’s dead body remaining near them as they talk. “I don’t understand…” mumbles Arlene, still in shock at Carlisle being alive. “It’s a long story” replies Carlisle, gazing into Arlene’s eye. Arlene faintly smiles, the first sign of happiness which is ever seen from her. “Why didn’t you follow Natalya?” asks Carlisle, trying to figure Arlene out. Shaking her head, Arlene looks at the floor. ‘I don’t know…” Carlisle nods his head, “What has happened to you, sister?” Arlene raises her voice in frustration, “I’m still the same person I was when we were kids.” Carlisle notices a black tattoo on Arlene’s arm, the symbol of Satan on her arm. “I’ll try and help you, but like Tisha said, it’s your choice,” says Carlisle, looking over the battlefield where the demons once stood. Arlene looks away from Carlisle, “I feel something, but I can’t describe it…” she thinks to herself, making eye contact with Natalya’s dead body.

“I know what you’re going to do, I never wanted this…” explains John, following Samuel around his house as he attempts to ignore him. “I’m doing this for you!” shouts Samuel, running back into his study room. Samuel picks up the bronze object, showing it to John. “Please don’t do this…” begs John, his innocent eyes full of sadness as he looks at Samuel. Samuel pauses for a moment, looking in John’s eyes before touching the bronze object, making it light up again. John’s ghostly body begins to fade away. “What happened to the man that I knew?” whispers John, his body slowly fading away. Samuel sighs, turning to look away from John, “He’s doing what’s right.” John bites his lip, “This isn’t rig-” John’s body is now gone, leaving Samuel alone in his house, determined to finish his goal.

Jayla runs into the next door room and shakes Bailey, “I can’t explain it, but Veronica was here!” Bailey looks at her in confusion, “She’s dead…” Jayla puts her hands on Bailey, hugging her, “I’m so sorry, please forgive me for what I've done.” Bailey slowly wraps her arms around Jayla, going along with whatever she’s doing. “I think you need some sleep…” says Bailey, ushering her friend back to the main room. Jayla smiles, “I don’t need sleep, I need to help other.” Bailey nods her head, “Okay sure, what happened to you? Before you were about to kill yourself…” Jayla lets out a deep breath, “I can’t explain it, but I know I'm finally happy.” Bailey looks at Jayla for a second, showing a glimmer of a smile as the door to the hideout bursts open, Ivy and Esdeath making a surprise entrance into the room. Ivy swiftly closes her eyes, entering Jayla’s mind as Jayla falls to the floor in pain. Bailey screams, moving to find her crossbow as Esdeath send a water bolt towards, knocking her unconscious. Jayla’s eyes begin to flutter and vibrate as Ivy poisons her mind. Her body starts convulsing rapidly just as her eyes explode, blood flying everywhere in the room. Jayla’s body remains motionless, her eye sockets gone as blood seeps out of them. Ivy and Esdeath step over her dead body and pick up Bailey, “We aren’t done with you yet” cackles Esdeath.

Episode Five: "Choice"

Tisha walks down her stairs, having just finished her conversation with Tori and Katherine. The house was now quiet as the night passed by. Tisha looks at the clock, the time almost reaching 2 AM. Once Tisha reaches the bottom, she turns and almost screams at the sight of Evelyn who stands in her living room. Evelyn rushes over, “You need to leave immediately!” Tisha looks at Evelyn confusingly, “What are you doing here?” Evelyn pulls Tisha into the kitchen and whispers, “Bobby is dead.” Tisha has a shocked look on her face, “I don’t understand…” answers Tisha, unable to take in all the information. “It doesn’t matter, you have to leave now!” Tisha takes a step back from Evelyn, “I’m not going anywhere.” Evelyn lets out a giant sigh, wandering over to a window and peers out, “People are coming to kill you!” Tisha puts a hand on her hip, “Bobby and Edward were trying to kill me in the past, that never inspired you to warn me.” Evelyn walks towards Tisha, putting her hands on Tisha’s shoulders and lightly shakes her, “This is different! This woman, I have no idea what she’s capable of…” Tisha stares at Evelyn, “What woman?” Evelyn cannot answer as the door slams open, Crimson and Carlisle rush in as they carry an injured Chandler. Her clothes are soaked by blood as her eye flutter, faintly making eye contact with Tisha. Gasping, Tisha runs over to Crimson, “What happened to her? Crimson and Carlisle place Chandler on Tisha’s couch, “She was attacked by a demon. This was the closest place I could think of to bring her.” Tisha looks at the injured Chandler, placing her hand on Chandler’s head to soothe her. “I’ve already called Sabrina, she will be here momentarily” announces Crimson, stepping away from Chandler. “The demon was alone, something isn’t right,” says Carlisle, addressing those in the room. “My name is Carlisle” he adds, introducing himself to Tisha. “You have to leave…” stresses Evelyn, still in the room. Crimson turns to look at Evelyn, “What is she doing here?” Evelyn walks into the center of the room, “You’re all in grave danger, powers beyond your control are coming. A knock at the door is heard before Sabrina enters, making her way over to Chandler and looking at her wounds. “How did this happen?” demands Sabrina, now raising her hand as her eyes glow white, her powers circling around Chandler as her injuries begin to heal. The room goes silent as the howl of demons are heard from outside Tisha’s house, Evelyn starts to exit through Tisha’s back door. “You’re too late…” mumbles Evelyn, vanishing out the door as the cries of demons grow louder and louder outside Tisha’s house.

Elsewhere, the town of New Haven stays sleeping, shrouded from the reality of the demons entering the town. Samuel walks down a narrow path towards the middle of town, hearing the distant shrieking of demons in the distance as he inches closer to Town Hall and the destination he seeks. Samuel pulls out a small picture of John, quickly folding it back up as he arrives at Town Hall. Looking around, Samuel enters a park, glancing around for what he seeks. Before long, Samuel stands in front of a giant oak tree, it was the biggest in all the town. As Samuel raises his hands, the wind and air around him begin to pick up as the blow against the leaves. The wind intensifies, many of the oak tree’s leaves falling off as the tree begins to glow. The light of the tree glows too brightly, forcing Samuel to cover his eyes as the wind circles around himself and the tree. Instantly, the wind stop, dissipating back into a calm breeze as the bark of the oak tree crusts back, revealing a bright round bronze object. Samuel picks up the bronze object, holding it in his hands as the warmth created from its glow heats his hands. Samuel now turns, returning back to his house.

Wendy looks outside the window of her house, her white dress caught by the breeze as her brown hair lightly floats to one side of her head. Down the street, Adore and Brittany are seen running towards Wendy’s house. Wendy gazes down to the end of the street, barely able to make out Adore and Brittany’s appearance. Wendy closes her window, retreating back into her bedroom, Adore and Brittany desperately pushing on towards Wendy’s house. Candles are lit in Wendy’s room, her only source of light as she looks at a rope which she places on her bed. Wendy’s body faintly vibrates, her heart beating faster and faster. An echo is heard inside Wendy’s voice, “I’m ending it, once and for all. I don’t want to be alone.” Brittany’s voice is heard inside her head from a scream. Wendy turns off her phone, placing it on her bed as her mind snaps back to reality. A loud bang is heard from downstairs as Wendy remembers just moments ago, she had told Brittany that she was ending her life. Adore and Brittany knock on Wendy’s front door, unable to gain access as it is locked. Wendy steps on top of a chair, wrapping the rope around her neck as she places the other end of her fan which is held in place against her roof. “Stop Wendy! Please don’t” begs Brittany, her frantic begging isn’t heard by Wendy. Upstairs in Wendy’s room, she looks around, remembering the time she had a friend, Mia. A sole tear appears out of Wendy’s eye, the door slamming open as Wendy steps off her chair.

Kate makes her way into one of the popular New Haven bars, going to sit on a bar seat as she orders a drink. A man walks up beside her, sitting to her left. “I’m not interested,” says Kate, looking the other way. “You sure were interested the other day” answers the man, Kate turning to see that it is Evan. “Oh, it’s you” responds Kate, glad to see it isn’t anyone sketchy. “Thanks for the ride home the other day” adds Kate, giving him a smile. Evan takes a sip of his drink, “So why are you here?” Kate reclines back on her seat, “Well my brother and his girlfriend are having trouble in paradise so I didn’t really want to go home to that.” Evan nods, “At Least you have a family to go back to.” Kate tilts her head slightly at Evan, “What is that supposed to mean?” Evan stands up, “My family ditched me, they got busy with other things. So they just kinda left me.” Kate looks at Evan, pitying him, “I mean, we all have to leave the nest eventually.” Evan grins, “I left the nest when I was five…” Kate looks down, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” Evan tilts Kate’s head back up, “It’s alright, just don’t take your family for granted, you don’t know how long you’ll have before they’re gone.”

“I’m sorry that Tisha doesn’t trust you yet, but don’t worry because she’ll come around” states Gabriel, walking down a street with Angel. “It’s okay, I didn’t expect anyone to trust me on the first day” replies Angel, putting her hands in her jean pockets. “Maybe I’ll just leave, this was just a stop along the way for me. I have a job interview in New York” explains Angel, the two of them walking through New Haven. “This town isn’t super interesting, but there are people like you here. I think that’s a reason to stay” notes Gabriel. “I also need a friend.” Angel turns to look at Gabriel, “I’m surprised that you don’t have any.” Gabriel’s face turns red, “Sometimes I do stupid things.” Angel laughs, “Like getting into a bar fight?” Gabriel nods his head, the two now sitting down on a grass lawn. “I’ll stay, for now, to make sure you get a friend before I go,” says Angel, the two smiling at each other.

Tisha, Crimson, Carlisle, and Sabrina make their way outside as Chandler recovers inside Tisha’s house. Standing before them on Tisha’s lawn in Esdeath, Ivy, and Ruthie who are encircled by demons. Evelyn appears just outside the circle, standing beside the demons. “We’re so sorry to bother you tonight, but we’d like our members back” announces Esdeath, stepping in front of the demons to present herself. “Who are you?” asks Tisha, only able to recognize Ruthie and Evelyn from the bunch. “My name is Esdeath, and I only request that you return those that you stole from us.” Tisha looks at Sabrina and Crimson, the two urging her not to give into the demands. “We can defend ourselves,” says Carlisle, showing a glimpse of his gun to Tisha. “If you resist, we will have no choice but to kill you” adds Esdeath, the demons around her snarling.  “Stop!” yells a voice, Jenni, and Violet showing themselves as they stand between Tisha and Esdeath. “Nobody had to die…” says Jenni, holding out her hands, motioning them to stop. “Please listen to her” mumbles Violet, trying to add to Jenni’s statement. “Enough of this” shouts Esdeath, lifting her hand as the demons around her begin their attack. “No!” yells Jenni, holding up her hands as electricity bursts out of her hands. “There doesn’t need to be violence! This will only deter you both from your goals” pleads Jenni, her innocent face trying to calm the escalating fight. Carlisle takes out his hunting knife, a demon tries to jump on Jenni, only to have a dagger thrown into its chest by Carlisle. Violet screams, running behind Tisha and the others as Jenni holds her ground. Ivy closes her eyes, entering Jenni’s mind to poison her thoughts as Jenni collapses to the ground from the pain. Demons pass by her as Tisha begins to fire a bolt of water towards the oncoming creatures. Sabrina creates a forcefield around Tisha and the others, protecting them from the demons. Esdeath looks at Ruthie who has yet to do anything, “What are you waiting for? Shoot them!” Ruthie looks timidly at Esdeath, shrugging her shoulder as she remains quiet, the first time she had nothing say. She points her gun, firing a bullet at Tisha which is deflected by Sabrina’s forcefield. On the verge of casting another water bolt, Tisha looks around at the two sides who fight, Crimson now igniting her hand as she casts a wave of flames towards the demons. Tisha remembers the countless fights she’s already had with Edward, Bobby, and now Esdeath. The countless people she’s lost. Tisha lowers her hand, stepping out of the forcefield as she runs back into her house.

Tori and Katherine watch from the spare bedroom, peering out a window as they watch the fight. “We have to get out of here…” says Tori, running towards the door and being knocked back by an invisible shield which keeps her contained inside the room. Tori slams her hands against the invisible shield, “We’re trapped in here!” Elizabeth snickers, “Finally, something worth watching.” Tori turns to look at her, “We’re going to be killed!” Tori bends over, going to hide under the spare bed as Katherine continues to watch the fight, glimpsing at the sight of Esdeath.

Tisha runs into her living room, hearing the ongoing battle outside as she opens the door to her basement. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Natalya and Arlene move their heads to look at Tisha. Raising her hands, Tisha’s eyes turn blue as she casts a water bolt against the containment spell which holds Arlene and the others captive in the basement. A shattering noise is heard as the invisible barrier breaks, the broken pieces being visible as the fade away into nothing. “What are you doing?” asks Natalya in astonishment, confused by Tisha’s actions. “Come with me” demands Tisha, now stepping back up her stairs. “What do you mean?” questions Arlene, looking at Natalya. “Just come” answers Tisha, holding the door open for them. Arlene and Natalya both look at each other before standing, following Tisha out of the basement. Tisha takes a look at Edward, not even acknowledging his freedom as he remains in the same position since his arrival to her basement. His son’s death had affected him too much, and he was too far gone. Tisha closes the door, leaving Edward alone in the darkness as she leads Natalya and Arlene outside. Outside, Arlene and Natalya see a battlefield as demons attack Tisha’s friends and allies. Ruthie continues to fire from her pistol as Esdeath notices Arlene and Natalya’s presence. She raises her hand, the demons halting their attack as they return to her. Tisha goes to stand beside her friends, leaving Arlene and Natalya alone. All the Descendants stop their fighting as they turn to face the two girls. “What are you doing…” asks Natalya, unsure of Tisha’s motives. “Ah! Please come and join us again” rejoices Esdeath, smiling at Arlene and Natalya. “Choose,” says Tisha, looking at Natalya. “What do you mean?” asks Natalya. “You both told me in my basement how there was no hope for you. Well, i’m done. I’m done with sacrificing those I care about for people who can’t make up their minds and thinks they’re a waste. I am giving you a choice, your freedom. You can go join Bobby again and continue to feel like there is no hope and that it will give you a purpose, or you can come with us. Do you remember how you felt in my basement, I was there for you, was Bobby there for you? I am giving you both a choice, the choice to do what you want. You don’t need to answer to anyone, join whoever you want. It’s your choice” explains Tisha, staring into Natalya’s eyes. A moment goes by, Natalya and Arlene say nothing. The only noise comes from the gentle breeze, both sides waiting for the girls choice. Natalya steps off Tisha’s deck, walking by her to join Esdeath. Arlene looks around Tisha, her eyes widening as she covers her mouth with her hand. She drops to the floor at the sight of Carlisle, her eyes tearing up as Carlisle looks at her. Carlisle steps over to Arlene, lowering his body to sit beside her as she lays on the ground from the sight of her brother. Arlene shakes her head, moving her hand to touch Carlisle’s face for proof that she isn’t dreaming. “Nightmares always go away,” says Carlisle, Arlene now sobbing as she remembers back when she was a child, the moment she left her brother as he was being attacked, her child self-saying it was only a dream. Arlene rests her head against Carlisle’s chest, his arms wrapping around her for comfort. Natalya steps closer to Esdeath, looking back to see Arlene crying. Natalya looks at Tisha before turning back to look at Esdeath. “Where is Bobby?” asks Natalya, not seeing him near Esdeath. Natalya looks at Ruthie who secretly shakes her head, communicating with Natalya. “He’s back at camp,” says Esdeath, smiling. Natalya looks at her, turning around to walk back to Tisha’s group. Natalya makes her way back over to Tisha’s side, her body stopping as she feels a sharp stabbing pain enter her back. Natalya screams as a demon’s fang enters her back, Natalya yelling from the hurt. Natalya’s eyes turn red, her whole body lighting on fire as she incinerates the demon, looking back as Esdeath who grins. Natalya begins to run towards Esdeath, getting closer and closer to her as she holds in the pain from the open wound on her back. Esdeath lifts a finger, Natalya’s legs freezing in place from ice which appears from Esdeath’s power. Natalya remains frozen in place, Esdeath calmly walks over to her, “It seems to me like you made the wrong decision. Haven’t you heard, water beats fire.” Esdeath places her finger on Natalya’s face as a water bolt cuts into her head, her body dropping immediately onto the floor from an instant death. Tisha screams as she fires a water bolt towards Esdeath who freezes it instantly, retreating back into the countryside with Ivy and Ruthie as the demon’s all fade away into nothing. Natalya’s eyes remain open as a hole in her head leaks out blood.

Inside his house, Samuel opens his study room as he rushes in. Samuel places the round bronze object on a table as he grabs a book, turning it to a certain page. Samuel holds out his hand, repeating a spell as the inside of his house begins to vibrate from a strong gust which forms. The bronze object begins to flash once more, this time radiating brighter than ever before. Samuel closes his eyes, the power from his abilities needed to illuminate the object requiring every bit of strength from him. Samuel grunts, pain forming in his muscles from his concentration as he lets out a yell, the bronze object returning back to normal as Samuel slowly opens his eyes. Samuel’s eyes begin to tear up. “Hey there,” says John, who now stands in front of him.
