I wanted to blog this due to the fact that there is usually a ton of questions related to the time changes and how that will impact games/Tengaged generally. Here's some of what should now be "fixed" now that the time has gone forward as of last night:
1) The "0 min" glitch: When the time changed in November, most users profile would indicate that they were active "0 min ago" on their profile, even when they were not. It would do so for exactly an hour, and then would transition to "5 min ago". This is now fixed.
2) The game timers on the games page are now accurate and will not have times that were in the negative.
3) The raffle + stars seat game should now end at the appropriate times (not an hour early, like they had been since November).
4) Posting for 200T$ in shops should now take an hour to post, rather than show up instantly like it has been. Refer to this page for full details on shops: https://tengaged.com/shopping_game/howto
5) For the past few months, Stars enrollment has been opening an hour early (at 5PM EST) and enrolling those who were "manually" entered (Stars Seat, Raffle, MOD Enrollments) and would start at 900T$. It would also not let people in until about 5:40PM EST where it would start at diamond level and gradually go down in level + price. Stars enrollment should now return to "normal" and enroll at 6PM EST and start at the typical ~300T$ + Gold Level.
Some others noted in the comments/mails that should now be fixed:
- Hunger Games Comps ending at 7 hours rather than 8 ( Roshy)
- "Latest actions" on profiles ( Booyahhayoob)
- Hunger Games weapons will now require waiting the full time ( Rodmacario/ Roshy)

On January 3rd, I made a blog announcing that the current Tengaged Advisory Council would be removed and replaced with a new version that would primarily be focused on special events. In that blog, we asked Tengaged members to apply to become either Event Coordinators or a member of the Social Media team. Applications closed on the 5th and over the last week or so, the applications were being reviewed. Late applications were not accepted.
I'd like to first start off by announcing that several members of the former Advisory Council will be staying on to help out in various roles. These members are PureEssence, Slice, Washed_Ravioli, and SmoothStalker12. The four of them alongside the moderators were responsible for reviewing the applications.
Let me first start off by saying that most of the applicants were reviewed anonymously (after being run through me). I say most because names were excluded from some, but some identifying factors may have stayed in since I didn't remove content of the application. They were all assembled in a Discord channel and voted on. From there, we assembled the ones who had the most positive reactions to them and those people will make up the team. I personally did not cast a vote on any of the applications to avoid any accusations of bias since I had received them all.
IF YOUR APPLICATION WAS REJECTED, I first would ask you to read the paragraph above (assuming some of you will skip straight to the list below) to fully understand the process that we took. We received plenty of applications, especially for the Events Coordinator positions. In my view, there were many applicants who were more than capable/qualified for the positions, but it was entirely based on the effort they put into their applications. From what I can see from who has been chosen, the more effort that was put into the application, the better the result. All of those chosen had provided plenty of ideas for new games/events and reasons why they felt they were capable. There will be future opportunities to get involved as an Events Coordinator or other roles we establish throughout the time, so stay tuned for those.
With all of that being said, here is the official list of the new Tengaged Advisory Council. Invites to the Discord server will go out soon.
Since the beginning of March, the Tengaged Advisory Council (TAC) has been in place to serve as an advisory body to myself, CheapCheep, and koolness234. Initially, the main purpose of the TAC was to serve as a group of Tengaged users who we could consult on rule changes and major decisions where we lacked certainty on how to proceed. The TAC was great during our first 6 months or so as moderators as there was a big mess to clean up due to the unmoderated era of Tengaged. However, we have now decided to abolish the current iteration of the Tengaged Advisory Council and create a re-vamped Advisory Council that we think will be more useful to us as moderators and the Tengaged community as a whole. We very much want to thank alexclow345, EmmaM, Krisstea, PureEssence, Slice, SmoothStalker12 and Washed_Ravioli for being extremely helpful during the last 9 months or so.
Re-Vamping the Tengaged Advisory Council

Going forward, we will be keeping some individuals from the current TAC on board to assist with the new function of the Council, but the focus of the Council itself will be changing. Essentially, the focus of the new TAC will be on special games and special events. We have heard all of your ideas about special games and events that can be brought to Tengaged and know how they are widely appreciated because of the excitement they bring to the website. The reality of being a moderator is that there is only so much time that all of us are able to put into the website given we all live lives outside of the website. The part that usually falls through the cracks is the planning of special events and special games, which is why we want to bring a whole team forward to help in the planning and executing of these events.
We are looking to add members to the team who have great ideas for special events, and perhaps have some experience hosting/planning events themselves. Below are some positions that we are looking for some assistance with.
Event Coordinators will be responsible for the planning and executing of special events. From Special Stars to Holiday Events to Moderation Endorsed Special Games, the Event Coordinators will be able to help in a variety of ways of making these events more common. The way that help is given may differ, as in some of the Event Coordinators may personally help host events, or may just contribute ideas to the moderation team.
We are looking for people who have been on Tengaged for a solid amount of time and have great ideas to contribute. Having experience hosting games and events is not necessary but will help!

Social Media Team Positions

Members of the social media team will assist with the Tengaged social media. This will take form of things like the creation of content to the planning of special giveaways and reveals of upcoming events.

Our expectation is that over time, we will be adding more people to the team, but it’s not expected that it will necessarily be on a “rotational” basis like has been once discussed.

It's been a while since I've hosted special games, so I've decided to go ahead and do some this afternoon. There's also not many Stars Tickets out there, so I thought I'd give some people an opportunity to play for some. The next "full" rotation of games (Castings, Frookies, Fastings, Frookies) will be special and have additional prizes. Here's the plan for today:
To get the current Castings to fill, once the game has filled, I will random.org 3 people to receive prizes. Two people will get Stars Tickets and the other will get 50T$. Good luck to those who decide to join!
The winners will be announced in this blog, so pay attention to that later on.
The game will also have some bonus prizes:
1st place: An additional 150T$ + a Stars Ticket
2nd place: An additional 100T$.
3rd place: An additional 75T$.
4th place: An additional 50T$.
The next two Frookies (the one that fills after the Castings outlined above and the one that fills after the Fastings outlined below) to fill will have additional payouts.
The updated payouts will be as follows:
1st place: An additional 100T$ + a Stars Ticket
2nd place: An additional 75T$
3rd place: An additional 50T$
4th place: An additional 25T$.
5th: An additional 15T$.
Every player starts with 10T$. Winner of each PoV earns an additional 5T$. Anyone is eligible to be nominated, though the only way to gain T$ is to win PoV or stay in an eviction against someone else. Whoever stays in the eviction "steals" the T$ of the evicted player and adds to their T$ balance (meaning evicted players do not get any T$). There are also bonus T$ for the finalists:
1st place: An additional 25T$ + a Stars Ticket
2nd place: An additional 15T$.
3rd place: An additional 10T$.
