The purpose of this blog is because the moderation team would like to open a discussion about a POTENTIAL addition to our moderation team. Before proceeding, I want to CLEARLY specify that we are only at the stage of CONSIDERING this possibility. Any final approval regarding an addition to the team (and who specifically that may be) will be made by randomize.
With that in mind, we do believe that your thoughts and recommendations will be important in shaping the decision. We want to poll you all about the following:
- Are there any specific qualities you believe would be a necessary addition to the team?
- Should we limit the search in any way? Consider things like how long the person has been on Tengaged.
- Are there any specific members of the community you think would be a good fit? Please do not recommend yourself.
We invite you all to share your recommendations by replying to this blog. Feel free to engage with others and have discussions on the blogs page publicly (tag us so we see it!). We want this to be an open and public discussion, so please do not reach out to us privately unless absolutely necessary.
PLEASE NOTE: Reaching out to any of the three moderators to discuss this is likely to result in us not responding. None of us will single-handedly make this decision. The decision isn't an easy one and trying to advocate for yourself continuously does not make it any easier for anyone involved. Our intention is to make this decision in the most transparent way possible, which is why we would like discussion about it to remain public at all times.

Some points of clarification based on comments made so far:
- randomize will not be "selecting" the moderator in that he is not about to make a random decision as was done in the past. It will be made based on recommendations from the three current moderators (as was the case for the addition of koolness234 and I). He obviously has the power to say no to somebody, though.
- There is not about to be a "mod election." The Tengaged public will not be asked to select the moderator, but will just be consulted about our process in selecting that person.
The 2023 Tengaged Egg Hunt has officially come to an end! It was a blast to see so many of you participating and searching for eggs over the past few days. I hope you all had fun and enjoyed the event.
On behalf of the moderation team, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Typhlosion37 for his work over the past few days. He did a great job at helping put this event together, and without him, it is unlikely that it would have ran as smoothly as it did.
Luckily, enough eggs were found that the moderation team have returned to their human form! #Pollster will especially be happy.
There were several instances where a person had an egg posted on their first blog, and they messed with the results by deleting a comment. Luckily, we caught these instances due to the fact that we were on top of the tracking of eggs posted on active user accounts. Nice try, huns.

Welcome to the third and final day of the competition. Over the past two days, a total of 400 eggs were hidden, and as of the time of writing this blog, there are 16 eggs that remain unfound from Day 1 & 2.
From Day 1, there are still 4 eggs that have not been found, which includes 2 golden eggs. Meanwhile, Day 2 saw 12 eggs go unfound, 6 of which are golden eggs. So, keep your eyes peeled for these elusive eggs as they may be the key to winning the grand prize!

Yesterday was a great success, and I'm happy to report that there's still no clear front runner, so anyone can win! With Easter Weekend approaching, the Tengaged moderation team has once again decided to bring back the Official Tengaged Easter Egg Hunt!
As always, a massive credit to SmoothStalker12 for coming up with the event. We miss you! This year, Typhlosion37 will be helping with some of the leg work to getting the event rolling, so thanks to him for that!
This year, while working to keep the site safe and free from offensive content, the moderation team was sent a care package filled with chocolate from a well-meaning user (or so we think...). The team was thrilled and eagerly dug into the package, enjoying the delicious treats.
However, as they continued to eat the chocolate, they began to feel strange. Suddenly, they all started to twitch and shake uncontrollably. And while that is just another Thursday for koolness234, before they knew it, they had all turned into Easter bunnies!
The transformation into bunnies was a shock to the moderation team, but they didn't let it distract them from their responsibilities. Despite this challenge, the team came up with a plan to turn back to their human forms. We need your to help us to find Easter eggs hidden around the site in hopes that by collecting enough eggs, we can use them to make a special potion that can reverse the transformation!
Here is how the 2023 Tengaged Easter Egg Hunt will work:
— The Event will take place tomorrow (Friday), Saturday, and Sunday. The event will officially begin at 12:00PM EST o n Friday, April 7th.
— Each day, approximately 200 total eggs will be hidden on a Tengaged user's **FIRST** blog (not their most recent). A total of approximately 600 eggs will be hidden throughout the weekend.
— The eggs will be hidden throughout the day, meaning if you are late at seeing the announcement, that does not mean you do not have a chance!
— The first user (and ONLY the first) to comment that they claim the egg will receive credit for finding the egg. You must comment directly below on the blog where the egg is posted, not on this blog. The exact comment that you post does not matter. Typically, people post something along the lines of "claims egg." However, we will not be overly strict on this point.
— All you have to do is look in the 1st blog a user has made and look for a member of the moderation team holding an Easter Egg. The eggs will have been posted either by brandonpinzu, CheapCheep, koolness234, Pollster or Typhlosion37. See below for some examples. Make sure that they were posted on either April 7th, 8th, or 9th, and were only posted by those users.
— Eggs only count if you claim them for yourself. You cannot claim for another user.

NOTE: HIDDEN EGGS MAY BE HIDDEN ON INACTIVE USERS BLOGS (in fact, this is far more likely). IT CAN BE ANY TENGAGED USER WHO IS NOT BANNED.

Fendimania kindly hosted a special Tengaged and generously funded it with 500T$. However, the game did not up going as planned, as were expecting a Frookies or a Fastings game/
In typical Tengaged fashion, it ended up being a Survivor.
The prizes outlined in Fendimania's blog will be given to the Frookies that filled after the Survivor filled (#222224).
As for the Survivor game, it will still be special. Every player that merges from game #222222 will get an extra 100T$ and a Stars ticket. For every ELIMINATED player, their 100T$ will be divided up among the remaining players, meaning a total of 1000T$ will be given out regardless of however many people merge.
HOWEVER, if you swap OUT of game #222222, you are not eligible. Only players that are a part of game #222222 when the game officially starts will be eligible for prizes. This means that if you join Survivor #222223 and swap onto #222222, you will be eligible.
