So unlike last year I'm actually going to jump the gun, and since rehearsals are starting, it's time to really post my Eurovision rankings, and my thoughts of all the songs from this year, and now hopefully I won't have to scramble getting this out before the Live shows happen.
I also want to preface and say this edition is really strong, and there are so many good songs I really like so some of these cuts are going to painful to see, you have been warned.
ANYWAYS it's time to release this years Eurovision opinions! Let's begin!
1st: 馃嚘馃嚥 Armenia - "Future Lover" by Brunette
Yes ma'am I WILL be sippin smoothies at near cafes, this is the PEAK song of this year and I will not have everyone tell me otherwise. Just her voice, the beauty, the simplicity, the breaking of traditional song formatting for something like this it's so amazing. Plus I'm also a sucker for a song that switches languages, and the Armenian at the end just sounds so good. The build up of this song is so amazing, and she's such a pretty woman. Even her rehearsal clips I just fall in love with her, the song, the art, everything more and more. This SHOULD NOT have been death slotted, and I will be gladly voting her in the second semi final to prove that death slots can win this whole thing. I know it's highly unlikely Armenia will win, but this is a MAJOR step up from SNAP and I'm so excited to see this song live.
I mean I heard of Brunette in HSC with her song Gisher, and I'm going to be completely honest Gisher bored me so much. So I was not expecting much when it came to her song, but in she came releasing this song right next to Georgia, and I was just stunned. It's one of those songs that gets better on every single listen, and I just can't get over the feeling and the layers of the song. Like she does a rappish part talking about panic attacks, and just how that lines up. I'm a hopeless romantic so I relate to this so much as well because it's a nice little love song about how much you're gonna love someone even if you haven't met them yet. It's so fun, so beautiful, this is my number 1 like it or not I want it to win even though the odds of it winning are low.
