Hello everyone I am back once again to give my unsolicited reviews and rankings for this years Eurovision entries. I'm just gonna jump on the horse and get ready to rank all of the entries because what else would I do?
Oh before I start I will preface this every blog that I will not be including that one country in my rankings, I want to stand in solidarity of Palestine so this is my way of doing so. If you have an issue with it then this isn't the Eurovision blog ranking for you .
Without further ado let's begin!
30th: 馃嚨馃嚬 Portugal - "Grito" by iolanda
I don't know y'all this song does not do anything for me, it tends to be forgettable to me, and usually I really love ballads. I just don't feel anything from this song, and so I have to cut the song here. She has a beautiful voice, and I know Portugal usually slays when it comes to ballad but I'm just not really sensing anything special regarding this song. There's so many better ballads this year so I can't just see myself ranking this song any higher than it already is. It's really nothing to sneeze at tbh, that's all I really have to say on the matter so I'm going to move on.
29th: 馃嚤馃嚭 Luxembourg - "Fighter" by TALI
Again this song doesn't really do anything for me, it's great to see Luxembourg back after all these years, but out of all the songs that were "girlbops" this year, this one really just lacks any substance for me. In a similar vain to Portugal, where there's many songs like this one this edition, there has to be one song that eventually falls flat, and I think this one definitely falls flat. TALI also has very shaky vocals, they aren't bad, but she definitely needs work. I was so excited to see the return of Luxembourg, but this isn't the song I was hoping for them, but I do hope they plan to stick around after this edition because it'd be nice to see more from them in this generation of Eurovision.
28th: 馃嚫馃嚜 Sweden - "Unforgettable" by Marcus & Martinus
So the rejects from last year coming second place of the eventual winner ends up getting their time to shine, and in all honestly, this song is very meh. It's nothing really to rant and rave about, and it just there to be honest. Like it just gives me basic boy band song, and not even one of the good ones. Sweden really let down the expectations after coming off the high of Loreen winning, but hey at least they are hosting so they'll at least put on a great show in other regards. But for the song itself, nothing special, nothing exciting, nothing memorable so it's placed here since I can at least remember the other songs.
