So unlike last year I'm actually going to jump the gun, and since rehearsals are starting, it's time to really post my Eurovision rankings, and my thoughts of all the songs from this year, and now hopefully I won't have to scramble getting this out before the Live shows happen.
I also want to preface and say this edition is really strong, and there are so many good songs I really like so some of these cuts are going to painful to see, you have been warned.
ANYWAYS it's time to release this years Eurovision opinions! Let's begin!
4th: 🇫🇮 Finland - "Cha Cha Cha" by Käärijä
Now it times to reveal the top 4! Starting with a song that just aged like fine wine. When I first listened to the song I was a bit taken back as I didn't expect a song named Cha Cha Cha to go this direction. When I heard the title I thought it would be a classic ballroom dance style song in liue of like Portugal or something like that... but honestly I should know better since this is Finland, and Finland likes bringing out the wild and crazy songs. Anyways back to my first listen I was really appalled, but then the more I listened to it the more I got used to the craziness of the song, and appreciate the meaning of just having fun!
Plus Käärijä is such a joy to watch on and off the stage, like he seems genuinely like a nice guy even if he always wears the green... I don't even know what to call that article of clothing honestly. Honestly the song is just so fun and upbeat, and it's honestly such a perfect closer for the first semi final. Also the energy is just infectious because the moment you hear CHA CHA CHA you know Käärijä is around. It's such a funky song, and it really embodies the essence of Eurovision, I wouldn't be mad if he ended up winning cause Finland is due for another win.
