So unlike last year I'm actually going to jump the gun, and since rehearsals are starting, it's time to really post my Eurovision rankings, and my thoughts of all the songs from this year, and now hopefully I won't have to scramble getting this out before the Live shows happen.
I also want to preface and say this edition is really strong, and there are so many good songs I really like so some of these cuts are going to painful to see, you have been warned.
ANYWAYS it's time to release this years Eurovision opinions! Let's begin!
3rd: 馃嚘馃嚬 Austria - "Who The Hell Is Edgar?" by Teya & Salena
POE POE POE POE POE- Excuse me I was suddenly possessed there. It was such a funny thing where I was literally taking a college course on Edgar Allen Poe when this song came out, and honestly I love watching the Crystal Ball ESC era where they leaked this song and everyone was shitting on it, but it now became such an ICONIC bop that is also a satire piece on ghost writing and song writing in general. It's such a strong song, and Austria put out another banger of a song, with people who can actually sing. Heck I loved this song so much I even learned the dance to it that the artist posted on Tik Tok.
Speaking of the artists, Teya and Salena know how to work social media, plus the behind the scenes of how the song was created was such an amazing story. Like how this song started originally as a not so serious song, and it just evolutionized. I know the best works are made last minute and this song is not an exception. I cannot WAIT to see Austria back in the final because know for sure they qualifying with this song. It's such an amazing song, and I can't stop saying praises about it. It's so good!
