SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Finale Part 3 Mar 21, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After voting out his duo, Ken knew he needed to beg Crystal for forgiveness. “I almost want to leave right now and apologize,” he said, “but at the same time, I want to win. I have to win. And I’m going to win, I just have to play all my cards right.” Meanwhile, Lauren, Kelley, and Jenn couldn’t believe the move they made. “At this point, we are pretty much guaranteed at least fire making,” Kelley said, “Because either we’ll get Ken or Jenn out, or the two of them will go after us, and in that case, we’ll smoke them in fire—no pun intended.”

Jenn, having no more immunity, didn’t know if Kelley and Lauren wanted to go to final three or not. “It’s much easier to pitch this all girl thing,” Jenn said, “But at the same time, Kenny made a huge move and probably made lots of jury enemies with it, so maybe I’ll want to work with Kenny to now split up the duo.” Jenn approached Kenny and Ken said he’d be down to work with her, but also knew that he wanted to be completely blood free and decided to tell Kelley and Lauren that Jenn wanted to split them up. He told them, and this caused Kelley to get angry and Lauren to get paranoid. Jenn realized that Ken was a snake, but also knew that Lauren and Kelley were now mad at her, so she had to win immunity.

At the immunity challenge, the final four had to put together a card tower using only one arm and keeping the other arm suspended attached to a bucket. If they dropped their arm, they were out. If someone finished the card tower first, they would win. “My strategy is to just hope that they drop and go super slow and steady,” Jenn said. Right away, Lauren went out, putting all the fate in Kelley. Ken was next out, after getting a bit cocky and lowering his arm. Kelley was much quicker with her stacking and Jenn had hoped that she’d drop her arm, and sure enough, Kelley had a slip up and the bucket came pummeling down. Jenn’s strategy paid off and she won final immunity.

Back at camp, Kelley and Lauren were upset that Jenn won, but also knew that they didn’t want to go into fire. “In order to avoid fire,” Kelley said, “We need to make amends with Jenn and somehow get her to target Kenny.” Jenn talked to Kelley and Lauren, and the three of them made up. “Honestly, my thinking was that I wanted to take Kenny to the end because he had enemies,” Jenn said, “And that’s the only reason I told him I wanted to target you. But honestly, after he was so quick to tattle, I just want to vote his ass out.” Kenny was hoping that Jenn would see that Lauren and Kelley were too strong of a duo. “I think Lauren would lose fire pretty easily, and that splits up a big time duo right before the end,” he pitched to Jenn. Jenn asked him why he thought she would trust him after he so quickly tattled on Lauren and Kelley. “I am trying my best to secure my safety,” Ken said, “But at this point, I think I’m guaranteed zero jury votes.” Ken’s plan was to make Jenn realize he had no shot, and hopefully that would entice her to take him to the end.

At tribal, Jenn weighed out her options. “I can vote with the girls and go for Ken, who we all realized was a lot shadier than expected, but I’m also sending home someone who I think the jury has a lot of disrespect for,” she said, “Or I can try to vote with Ken to send one of the girls to fire making, but then I’m also making the possibility that Lauren or Kelley could be on the jury, which is a guaranteed jury vote for the other.” Ken chimed in saying “If you vote me out, I will not vote for you to win.” Jenn looked at Kelley and Lauren to seek guidance, and Lauren said “Go with your heart, and just know that we’re both ready to beat Ken in fire anyway no matter how you vote.” After the voting, Ken crossed his fingers hoping his plan worked. Lauren and Kelley both voted for Kenny, with Kenny voting for Lauren. Jenn decided to vote for Kelley, which led to a split 2-1-1 vote, sending Ken packing. “Technically I didn’t vote you out Ken,” Jenn said, and Ken nodded, knowing voting out Crystal was a huge mistake. “I tried to overplay and it got me in the butt,” Ken said, “And I did promise Jenn that if she voted me out, I wouldn’t vote for her to win…and technically, she upheld that promise.”

From then on, they remained sanctioned off, but ultimately came together for some crucial endgame votes, helping Ken send home Crystal, and ultimately coming back to get Ken out before the final 3. All three have made their way here, and only one will emerge victorious.

SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Finale Part 2 Feb 12, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Having stuck with loyalty, Crystal knew she was going to have to confront Lauren and Kelley back at camp. Lauren was upset that Crystal voted for her. “I thought the four of us were tight,” Lauren said. “It only shows that we can’t trust you two,” Kelley said. Ken was upset because he was being roped into Crystal’s move. “Why did you do that?” Ken asked Crystal. Crystal told him that she wanted to keep her loyalty and didn’t think it mattered if she threw a vote to Lauren. “But now that you did that, there’s no way they’re going to trust us,” Ken said. Crystal was upset and decided to blow off some steam, while Ken tried some damage control with Lauren and Kelley. Meanwhile, Jenn was happy that all of the attention was off of her. “Somehow, I’ve faded into the background, and it’s time for me to play my idol tonight, win immunity in final four, and be sitting in that final three,” she said.

At the immunity challenge, the final five had to go through a mud maze, crossing several daunting obstacles. Crystal wanted to finally show her Olympic sensibilities, while Jenn wanted to win to hold onto her idol as a souvenir. Out the gate, Kelley and Lauren led, with Jenn shortly behind. As the obstacles went on, it became a tight race between Lauren and Kelley and Lauren was able to get the win.

Back at camp, Kenny and Crystal approached Wentworth and Lauren and asked if they could all join in together to get rid of Jenn. Lauren and Wentworth agreed, but secretly had plans of their own. “I want to get rid of Crystal for voting for me,” Lauren said, “But I think Kenny needs to be the boot.” The two approached Jenn to see if she was on board, and Jenn was ecstatic to take out who she saw as the biggest threat.

Throughout the day, Ken noticed that Jenn seemed a little too comfortable. “For someone who is very much on the outs, I’m shocked to see Jenn seem so comfortable,” Ken said to Crystal. “Do you think the three girls have something planned?” Crystal asked him. Kenny decided to talk to Kelley and Lauren and ask if he was on the block, and Kelley was straight up and said “We know there may be idols out there, so nothing is set in stone.” Kenny saw that they weren’t guaranteeing anything and needed to come up with a plan. “The only way I can secure MY safety,” Kenny said, “Is by throwing Crystal under the bus.”

Kenny talked to Jenn and said “Is there any way you’d be willing to vote out Crystal?” And Jenn immediately said “sure,” but was also puzzled. “I don’t know what Ken has up his sleeve,” she said, and went to Wentworth and Lauren. “Kenny just told me he wants Crystal out,” Jenn said. Lauren thought that Kenny was trying to play them, but Wentworth said “If he’s willing to do it, why not take that easy out. We still split up the duo, but all the blood is on Ken’s hands, and he’s likely to lose that jury vote.” Wentworth approached Kenny and said she’d be willing to vote Crystal. “Jenn told me that you wanted Crystal out, so I’m willing to do that if that’s how you feel,” she said. Kenny was upset, but knew that this might’ve been his only saving grace. “To quote the queen,” Kenny said, “As long as it ain’t me.”

At tribal council, Crystal said that this week would be fairly straightforward and she was sad that anyone had to go. Jenn played it cool, saying that she knew her time was probably up, and she was grateful for the opportunity. Ken said that tonight would be a turning point either way. “Lines are always drawn,” Ken said, “But now might be the most definitive line thus far.” After the votes, Jenn stood up and played her idol, much to everyone’s surprise. “Damn,” Crystal said. Unfortunately, Crystal thought this would be the end for her friend Kenny. “I’m so sorry Kenny,” Crystal said, but little did she know, but four votes came HER way. Crystal had a shocked reaction, and couldn’t believe Ken betrayed her. “I am heartbroken,” she said, “And you have lost my respect.” “It was a game move,” Ken said, “If it wasn’t you, it would’ve been me.” Crystal left tribal council upset at her friend, and Lauren, Wentworth, and Jenn realized they had made a huge divide that could seal Kenny’s final tribal fate.

SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Finale Part 1 Feb 12, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With the final six here, Christine and Jenn knew that they were facing and uphill battle against two pairs. “Ken and Crystal promised us an alliance in order to get our votes to boot Shan,” Christine said, “So I just have to hope that they uphold that.” Meanwhile, Kelley and Lauren knew that they also had a final four with Crystal and Kenny. Crystal and Kenny, meanwhile, met to discuss their next plan. “We have to play this very carefully,” Ken said, “If we get rid of Wentworth or Lauren, then we’re the last pair left and that’s super dangerous.” “But If we get out Christine or Jenn,” Crystal said, “then we are breaking the word we JUST made.” The two didn’t know what to do and planned on the immunity challenge bringing some clarity.

The immunity challenge involved the six remaining contestants hugging a pole, in which the last one standing would win. Kenny dropped, wanting to minimize his threat level, with Crystal and Christine falling shortly after. Lauren was next out, leaving Jenn and Kelley. Jenn wasn’t giving up without a fight, but it was ultimately Kelley who won the challenge, securing her spot in final five.

Back at camp, Christine and Jenn knew they had to vote for Lauren. Christine, however, wanted assurance from Kenny and Crystal and asked them if they were down. Crystal said that she didn’t want to break the word she just made, but Kenny was a bit more quiet. This caused Christine to get concerned, and she told Jenn that she didn’t trust Kenny. “He’s had everyone wrapped around his finger,” Christine said, “What if we just get rid of Kenny tonight?”

Christine went to Lauren and Kelley and said “I know you are both voting for either Jenn or I, but I do want you to consider who’s really running the show.” Kelley knew Kenny was a big threat, but also knew that she still needed to make her way to the end, and Kenny and Crystal gave her and Lauren an easier shot at that. Kelley decided to tell Kenny and Crystal that Christine was making the move on Kenny. “They want to get you out,” Kelley said. Kenny immediately knew that he was set on getting rid of Christine, but Crystal was still bothered by this. “Christine and I have had a rocky relationship,” Crystal said, “But we promised them final four if they voted Shan out, so I feel extra crappy going against that, even if she may be targeting Kenny.”

Crystal pulled Kenny aside to ask if they could still go for Lauren. “Lauren and Kelley are a strong duo that aren’t targeting us now, but will surely beat us in competition come final four ,” Crystal said, but Ken didn’t seem to want to budge. “I honestly hate how it’s always Kenny’s approval to make a plan or not,” she said in confessional, “I wish he let me have a say, because right now I don’t feel like an equal.” Jenn and Christine met before tribal and Jenn said that she wasn’t sure if she would use her idol only because she didn’t want to waste it if she needed it in final five. They made one last ditch effort with Lauren saying “With Kenny out, we can finally play at an even playing field all around.”

At tribal council, Jenn decided to hold onto her idol. Christine and Jenn both voted for Kenny, trying to take the shot at them. Lauren and Kelley decided NOT to vote with Christine and Jenn and voted FOR Christine. Crystal, keeping her word to Christine and Jenn, voted for Lauren, leaving the deciding vote in Kenny’s hands, to which he voted out Christine. This sealed her fate, and she felt proud of making it so much further than her first season.

SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Episode 13 Feb 11, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Christine and Jenn tried to do some damage control, knowing they flipped on their alliance and were unsuccessful. “I need you all to know where I’m coming from,” Christine told her previous alliance, but Crystal was upset, knowing that it would be harder to move forward. Kenny, however, knew that the biggest threat was still Shan. “All of us still have to set our sights toward Shan,” Kenny said, “She has three guaranteed jury votes from Ricard, Sarah, and Wendell, and it may grow beyond that if she manages to make the final three.” Ken hoped his words had reached his alliance.

At the immunity challenge, Shan knew she had to fight for her safety, but Christine and Jenn had the same prerogative. “Even with an idol,” Jenn said, “I don’t want to put myself on the chopping block and would rather just have immunity to make sure I’m 100% secure.” The challenge involved the contestants racing through a maze collecting balls in which they would try to hit a series of targets to raise a flag. Immediately, Wentworth and Lauren took off at the front of the pack, with Christine and Jenn slightly behind. Shan struggled, while Kenny and Crystal were tailing the back of the pack. Lauren was the first through the maze and began shooting for the targets, followed by Wentworth. Luckily for Jenn, she was able to have two lucky hits in a row, and just needed one more. It came down to Lauren and Jenn, but Jenn ultimately won the challenge, earning safety.

Back at camp, Kenny, Crystal, Wentworth, and Lauren knew that the target had to be either Christine or Shan, with Shan being the priority. “If we have Christine and Jenn vote for Shan, we can have two of us vote for Christine in the odd chance that Shan has an idol,” Wentworth said, but Lauren got a bit paranoid that splitting votes could lead to something disastrous. “The question now becomes whether or not we go all in on Shan,” Kenny said, “Or split the votes and risk Christine and Jenn flipping and sending one of us home.”

Ken talked to both Christine and Jenn and asked if they’d be comfortable voting for Shan, to which they both said yes. “I do want to know that we’ll be okay afterward though,” Christine said, and Kenny said that he and Crystal would be willing to give them their word for a final four. “At this point,” Kenny said in confessional, “Having a final four with both Wentworth and Lauren and Christine and Jenn basically guarantees both Crystal and I final four and I don’t think it’s bad that we’re playing both sides when it’s so close to the end.” Christine and Jenn were worried that they’d pull a fast one, but Christine said “If they do split the votes on me, then I’ll go home, but since Ken made that deal, you can expose him to Wentworth and Lauren.”

At the tribal council, Shan said that she could sense that her time might be coming to an end. “Did I look for idols? Yes. Did I find them? We’ll just have to wait and see,” Shan said. Lauren said that the further to the end of the game they got, the harder it would be to split votes. “I just have to put faith that my alliance did what’s best for everyone’s game and didn’t play selfishly,” she said. After the vote, nobody played an idol. Shan voted for Ken, not really knowing where the momentum was shifting, but the entire rest of the tribe voted for Shan, sending her home as the 6th juror. Christine and Jenn were happy not to see a split vote, and Ken knew he had made the right move, getting rid of his last huge threat and making sure that all four others outside of him and Crystal trusted him.

SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Episode 12 Feb 7, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Seeing that Sarah went home, Wendell and Shan knew they were on the outs. They bonded, knowing that they had so much worth fighting for, even beyond the game. “To know that I can trust you,” Shan said, “it’s a type of bond that can’t be broken, and I do hope we can find a way to run this to the very end.” Wendell reciprocated, but also knew that he was in deep water, with only one real ally left. “If there’s anything I can do to sway this game back in our favor,” Wendell said, “I will do it.”

Meanwhile, Kelley and Lauren celebrated being on the right side of the vote, knowing that Wentworth was close to going home. They thanked Jenn, Christine, and Hali for staying with them, but Christine was a bit worried about them. “These are two strong players,” Christine said, “And I just don’t know how I feel about them and Kenny and Crystal’s bond,” Christine said. “I’m the only single amongst three couples, so I have to be very careful that Kelley and Lauren don’t outrank me on the totem pole.” Christine chatted with Wendell and asked if he’d ever be willing to team up with her, and Wendell said that he would be desperate for alliances. “I think the singles need to band together right now. There’s only three of us against three couples. If we can split up a couple soon, we can squeeze our way to the end,” he said. Christine had to consider it, but knew this could be a potential move to make.

At the challenge, the castaways found out that they had to hang on for dear life to a bar hanging above the sea-water. The last one left up on the bar would be immune, meanwhile the FIRST one to drop would be immediately eliminated. Everyone was on edge, knowing that one slip could end their entire game. Everyone took their positions, and immediately, Wendell started sweating of nervousness, while Kenny and Crystal tried their best not to lose their grip. But it was unfortunately Hali who dropped first, ending her Survivor journey quickly. Jenn, out of sadness, dropped to console her duo. Crystal, Christine, Wendell, and Shan all fell, and they all consoled her as well. “Even if we didn’t work together,” Shan said, “it’s always tough to see someone go home this way.” This left Kenny, Lauren, and Wentworth hanging on for deal life. Kenny told Lauren and Wentworth that they were both safe with him. Lauren, knowing she had an idol, dropped to minimize her threat level, and Wentworth told Kenny she trusted him, and dropped, giving Kenny the immunity to show loyalty.

Back at camp, Kenny and Wentworth met up to solidify their bond. “Final four here we come,” Kenny said. Meanwhile, Jenn was upset seeing her best friend go home, and Christine approached her saying, “If you want an extra motivation, why don’t we make a big move tonight?” in which Jenn listened. “Now that your duo is gone, that leaves four singles against two duos. If we go after the duos tonight, we could really shake up this game,” she told Jenn. Jenn liked the idea, and immediately went to Wendell and Shan to discuss a game plan. “Ideally, Kenny would go home but he has immunity,” Wendell said, “And I don’t think Crystal is worth getting rid of right now.” This meant that the group had to split up Kelley and Lauren. “We just have to go for the person less likely to have an idol,” Shan said.

Meanwhile, Kelley, Lauren, Ken, and Crystal talked to Jenn and Christine about splitting votes between Wendell and Shan. “That seems like the best plan,” Lauren said. The plan was for Lauren, Kelley, and Ken to vote Wendell and for Christine, Crystal, and Jenn to vote for Shan. Ken, however, noticed that Jenn and Christine were a bit quiet, and they were concerned that maybe there were other plans in store. “Should I play my idol today?” Lauren asked. Kelley said she may want to, but just didn’t know who they were voting for. “If there’s a flip, we just have to make sure we put the idol on who’s most likely to get votes,” Kelley said.

At tribal council, Jenn said that losing Hali gave her a new motivation she needed to finish the game strong. “I feel like I’ve been living in the shadows,” Jenn said, “And I think it’s now time to make a big move.” Christine said that it was tough because there was no telling what other twists and idols would come their way. “There are lots of couples here,” she said, “But at the same time, I voted with these couples. So it’s a matter of who to trust.” After the vote, Kelley looked to Lauren, who stood up. “For some reason,” Lauren said, “I have an uneasy feeling.” Lauren played the idol on HERSELF, which was the right move since FOUR whole votes came her way. “Wow, good thing I did that,” she said. The next vote went to Shan, but the remaining three went to Wendell, sending him packing. Wendell embraced Shan, knowing he did everything he could. Christine and Jenn, meanwhile, were worried knowing they flipped on their alliances.

SURVIVOR: DYNAMIC DUOS 2 Episode 11 Jan 11, 2022
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Kelley, having flipped on her alliance, awaited lots of fireworks back at camp. Sarah and Wendell decided to play it cool, but Shan was very upset, and told Kelley off. “I can’t believe you would betray this alliance for people that definitely don’t have your back,” she said. Lauren returned from exile and found out what happened, and consoled Kelley. “Wherever you go, I go,” Lauren said, “So I stand by you and will defend your decision.” Lauren then showed Kelley her idol, and the two celebrated knowing that this could really further them in the game.

The other alliance, meanwhile, celebrated their big move. Kenny was happy he pulled it off, and told Crystal that now they had to hold up their end of the deal. “I told them that we’d go to final four with them,” Kenny said, to which Crystal seemed a bit uneasy and nervous, but agreed. “At this point, if we can knock out Shan, Wendell, and Sarah, then we can deal with all of that later,” she said.

The next morning, Kelley tried to reconcile with Shan and told her that it was surely to prevent going to rocks and did propose that they still try to work together. “We play two similar games,” Kelley said, “And I would hate to be going for one another when we can look out for each other instead.” Shan said that it would be too difficult to put her 100% trust in Kelley again, but did agree that they were both threats now and would have to look out for one another in some capacity. The two hugged it out, hoping to put the blindside behind them. Sarah and Wendell, however, knew they had to do something to shift the momentum back to them. “Between the three of us,” Sarah said, “They’re definitely going to go for us before Shan.” Wendell suggested maybe approaching Kenny about working with them. “Of everyone, I think Kenny would be willing to flip,” Wendell said, “he’s the only dude on that side, and if we could put the fear of a women’s alliance in his head, maybe he’ll flip.”

At the immunity challenge, the contestants had to build a card house and place a flag in the middle using only their feet. “This was a challenge Ricard won on our season,” Shan said, “So I would like to honor him by hopefully winning this and standing up for his blindside.” The contestants started, and immediately, Wendell, Crystal, Christine, and Sarah struggled. Lauren, Hali, and Jenn were making quick time and Shan was falling out of it. It came down to Lauren and Jenn, and Jenn accidentally knocked down her tower, giving the win to Lauren who put the flag in and secured her safety.

Back at camp, Lauren and Kelley celebrated. Wendell and Sarah tried to enact their plan to talk to Kenny. Pulling him aside, Sarah said, “You’re the only guy on that side and when we talked to Kelley, she hinted at some sort of women’s alliance.” Kenny acted surprised, but during confessional, started laughing saying “I’m the one who got Kelley to flip, it’s hilarious that Sarah and Wendell think that I’m the one on the outs of this ‘women’s alliance.’” Kenny told Sarah and Wendell he’d consider voting Wentworth. “She’s a flip flopper,” Wendell said. Meanwhile, Kenny talked to his alliance of Wentworth, Lauren, and Crystal and told them that Wendell and Sarah were trying to target Wentworth. “I’m not surprised,” she said. “Honestly, I’d love to just split votes on the two of them and get one of them out.”

Kenny approached Christine, Hali, and Jenn and asked them what they thought of splitting the votes between Wendell and Sarah. Christine was down, but Hali was a bit worried. “Shan is the one who came after Wentworth right after the challenge,” Hali said. “If we want to keep the majority of 7, we need to have Wentworth’s trust.” Kenny didn’t want to let on that Kelley and him were working too closely together, so Kenny suggested Hali talking to Kelley. When Hali talked to Kelley, Kelley said that she would rather go after Sarah or Wendell, much to Hali’s surprise. “If Kelley is down with getting rid of one of the two winners and not Shan, then I guess that’s a good plan,” Hali said. Meanwhile, Wendell and Sarah told Shan the plan to vote out Wentworth. “I think we have Kenny and Crystal’s votes, so even if they split, we’re good,” Sarah said. Shan knew she had told Wentworth she’d look out for her but also knew that Wentworth was the right boot.

At tribal council, Shan knew she could be in trouble. “My biggest ally went home last week,” she said, “I hope they see this as an opportunity to see me as weaker rather than stronger.” Wendell said that it was definitely going to be an interesting vote. “Having Kelley flip,” Wendell said, “There’s no telling if she’ll join back up with us or flip again.” Kelley interjected saying, “But you, Sarah, and Shan never even came to me with a name, so how do I even know who to vote for?” Shan did lean over and whisper Jenn’s name into Kelley’s ear, though Kelley wasn’t necessarily convinced. “It’s a real interesting game of who to trust and when,” Kelley said. After the votes, nobody stood to play an idol. The first three votes, from Shan, Wendell, and Sarah, went to Kelley Wentworth. Wentworth nodded, knowing her original alliance was down on voting her out. “So you whispering Jenn in my ear means absolutely nothing,” Kelley said. The next votes from Christine, Jenn, and Hali were for Wendell while Lauren, Wentworth, and Crystal voted for Sarah. This left Kenny as the last remaining vote, and sticking to his alliance’s plan to split the vote, he voted for Sarah, ending her Survivor journey once again. Sarah gave props to her allies, and told Shan and Wendell, “go win it.”
