SURVIVOR: WINNERS AT COMBAT Finale Part 1

Jul 14, 2020 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR:  Tom was excited to be back in the game, but nervous that everyone had already made so many bonds. He connected with Vecepia, who welcomed him with open arms. “It’s basically myself and Jenna vs. Earl and Tina, but even Earl and Tina had a little bit of a riff last tribal council,” she said. Vecepia apologized to Tom for voting him out, but he forgave her, saying “Listen, it was down to three people, and I was a huge threat. Let’s finish this thing, you and me.” Earl, on the other hand, had to talk to Tina. “I’m sorry I voted out JT, but I knew that JT was a big threat to win challenges, and nobody wants to go up against him in the end,” Earl said. Tina forgave him, but deep down, she knew, “I want to trust Earl, but I also think he’s just as likely to win as JT is. Between him and Tom, the only way I might be able to win is by flipping over with Jenna and Vecepia, who are two much more subtle winners.” Tina knew that she had two idols, “If I don’t win the challenge, it doesn’t matter because I have an idol to protect myself. It’s whether or not I use my other idol to save Earl, a long time ally, or keep as a souvenir.” At the immunity challenge, the five castaways had to dig for puzzle pieces which would later build a small castle like puzzle. Right out the gate, Earl was fast in finding his puzzle pieces, while Jenna was close behind. Tom realized how physically demanding the challenges were, but knew that his Extinction momentum could help him. Earl was first at the puzzle mat, followed by Tom. Just as Vecepia found her second bag of puzzle pieces, Tina and Jenna were both at the puzzle mat. Vecepia knew she’d have to kick it into high gear for the puzzle. Tom, Earl, Tina, and Jenna were all working on their puzzle, struggling to figure out the base. “I don’t even know what I’m looking for,” Tom said. Vecepia was late coming up to the mat, but knew she had to put her head in it. In a matter of minutes, Vecepia was able to figure it out and was already passing the other four castle buildings. Vecepia was able to pull ahead and win a come from behind victory, celebrating. Jenna was happy that Vecepia was safe, but worried that this could put her at the outs. Back at camp, Vecepia told Jenna that she was safe, and that she, Tom, and herself had to vote for Earl. “If Tina has an idol up her sleeve, we gotta go for Earl,” Vecepia said. Tom was happy that he had returned into the majority. Earl asked Tina if they were okay, and Tina realized that she needed Earl on her side. “As much as I think Earl is a huge threat to win, and I’m mad he voted out JT,” Tina said, “I know I need Earl because if he goes home, then it’s me vs. 3 people.” Tina pulled out her two idols and showed Earl. “We still have two, and I’m willing to forgive and forget,” she said, giving Earl an idol. “So who do we vote out? Tom or Jenna?” Earl asked. Tina knew that Tom was probably a bigger endgame threat, but also saw the asterisk next to his name seeing how he came back from the Edge. At tribal council, Tina said that she definitely sensed that Tom, Jenna, and Vecepia were a unit, and she and Earl were on the outs. Earl said that he had to apologize to Tina, after blindsiding JT, and that he was definitely going to have to fight till the end. After the votes were tallied, Tina stood up and said “Well, I might as well secure my spot in the final four,” playing her idol. Earl then stood up, much to the dismay of Vecepia, Jenna, and Tom. “I gotta give credit to my girl Tina for this,” Earl said, playing it. “Well it’s been fun guys,” Tom said to Jenna and Vecepia. The first three votes were all for Earl, did not count. The two votes from Tina and Earl went for…Tom. Tina was happy that she used her idol on Earl, securing that bond, and giving her a 2-2 battle in the final four rather than 3-1. Tom was happy that he got another shot, but knew that idols could play against him. Jenna and Vecepia realized that the playing field was once again even.
