Survivor S33 Power Rankings (Top 19) Sep 24, 2016
imageSo this new season of Survivor has already started with one of the  best premieres ever. Not only did we get a crop of new, amazing contestants, but a new twist in the game, and an insane storm! The Legacy advantage is in Jessica’s hands, but is subject to change. With this new unknown power, how will the game shift? Let’s see what I think.

19. CeCeTaylor- Wow, this came as a shock to me as well. It’s not that I don’t like her, but she got the second most votes on her tribe, which is never good. Being on the bottom of her tribe will either propel her to start playing harder, or it means that she will be the next one out if the Millennials win again.

18. Taylor Stocker- I really liked Taylor in the first episode, except the previews suggest that maybe the “cool kids” alliance is in some danger. Taylor is definitely the person binding the group together, and could be blindsided in the second boot position. As we’ve seen over the years, sometimes stronger players are taken out early. It’s a big deal of strategy, and sometimes never depends on actual strength.

17. Figgy Figueroa- FIggy is likable enough, but she’s in the “cool kids” alliance, which looks like they might get targeted. The problem with her is, the group might think Taylor is more of an asset in challenges, and Figgy may fall victim for that. It’s a problem, and showmances usually never last. This isn’t Big Brother.

16. Paul Wachter- While I like Paul, people seem to get easily annoyed by him. While he seemed to be in the majority, he could easily find himself being booted out for being the oldest guy, and someone they feel is dead weight.

15. David Wright- I think David is way too intense and eager for this first episode. But I think he is learning, and I think he’ll be someone to keep an eye on this season. He was in danger, but pulled himself out with some loyalty. While I want to rank him higher, he had a rough first episode, so until he truly proves that he is a contender, he won’t be moving up yet.

14. Hannah Shapiro- I really love Hannah, and I think she can take it all the way, IF she gets out one of the four “cool kids.” If she doesn’t, she’ll probably be the odd one out, going home. So she’s staying low for now, but as soon as she hopefully makes that move, we’ll see her jump up in the rankings.

13. Sunday Burquest- Sunday seemed to stay in the majority, but I still have mixed feelings on how I think she’ll do in this competition.

12. Michelle Schubert- While she is likable at camp, she is in that “Foursome of Cool Kids.” But I doubt she’ll be the most threatening of the four. She should be safe.

11. Lucy Huang- The next three are just three people who really didn’t do much of anything in this first episode. Barely even a confessional. But they should be safe.

10. Michaela Bradshaw- Same with Lucy. She was invisible this episode. But I get good vibes.

9. Will Wahl- Aside from his age, we got nothing else from him, like Michaela and Lucy. He’s safe for now, but his age is the only thing I remember.

8. Mari Takahashi- I really really like Mari. She’s cool and definitely someone to watch out for. If she aligns herself with Hannah, she is making a smart move. But if she doesn’t, she may be making a mistake and putting herself on the outs. Regardless, I think she’s okay for some time.

7. Zeke Smith- It was great to see Zeke already opening up and already living the dream. His team hasn’t said anything bad about him, but he still isn’t 100% in with everyone yet. Give it another week or two, but I already love Zeke.

6. Jay Starrett- Jay seems to be the one in the “Core 4” who knows what’s up, as the preview suggests. He is playing with brains, while Taylor is playing with feelings. Jay should avoid elimination, and could actually be the one who turns on this alliance.

5. Adam Klein- Adam is already one of my favorites, and my pre-season pick is making me proud. He had a good first episode, and was super likable. His story is empowering too. Still a huge fan, probably always will be.

4. Ken McNickle- Ken is fitting in great with this tribe, and giving me super good vibes. While I was afraid he’d get cocky about his knowledge of living outdoors, he stayed a little under the radar, which I liked. He could go further than I thought.

3. Bret LaBelle- Bret was someone I immediately liked in the bunch. He seems to be in a pretty good position, and helped a lot of the strategy in this first round.

2. Chris Hammons- I think I was most wrong about Chris. He isn’t that horrible and mean, like I assumed. He seems like the leader that Gen X needs, and he’s also making some good strategic moves. If he can whip David into shape, he’s got a powerful squad working for him.

1. Jessica Lewis- Jessica was a huge surprise for me. She’s in the majority alliance, good in challenges, and she found the Legacy twist! While she may be voted out before using it, I have to give her credit on being the first person to find anything out there! It’s a big deal, especially being an unknown twist. And she can definitely use that to her advantage to sway people to her side. The person we all thought would be forgettable or boring may actually surprise us.

So immediately, Adam, Bret, Jay, and Zeke uphold my expectations, while Jessica, Chris, Ken, and Mari really exceeded them. As for who goes home? I think the Millennials are still the stronger team, and Gen X will lose the person who is safest to get out this week.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- CeCe Taylor

Hell's Kitchen S16 Power Rankings (Pre-Game: Top 18) Sep 23, 2016
imageA new season of HK, and while we’ve had some unexpected or underwhelming winners in the past, this show is just so entertaining. I am writing this after the premiere but have not seen ANY spoilers. The tough part about pre-game rankings is that I have no further info than the contestants’ faces, hometown, occupation, and signature dish. So I’m going to make my best (or worst) assumptions!

18. Wendy Mendez- Wendy’s smile is infectious, but she seems like she may not be able to handle the pressure of the kitchen. While she’s from the Bronx (I love routing for the NJ and NY chefs), a tomato soup is WAY too safe, and I just don’t think she’s a major league player like her hometown Yankees. She may be the first one to pack up and go, just because I don’t think she’s ready.

17. Aziza Young- Aziza looks tough. I’m sort of scared of her. Is that bad to say? I think she’ll be tough in the team aspect, and her dish is something any amateur chef can make. Salmon with potatoes? Come on.

16. Johnny McDevitt- Johnny doesn’t look like the type of guy Chef Ramsay likes right off the bad. He just seems like a character, and may stir some trouble. This is just first impressions. He could win this season for all we know. But in my personal opinion, he doesn’t look like a contender.

15. Heidi Parent- Heidi doesn’t really strike me as a nice girl, and seems to have a fire in her. Unfortunately, it’s not a good one in my opinion. Though I’m just basing it off the pic, but she seems like she may be a little standoffish. And for that, I say she’s out pretty early. Not first, because Ramsay loves the drama, but soon after. Then again, I’ve been wrong in the past.

14. Devin Simpson- The bacon wrapping thing is just so safe, as you’ll hear me talk about later as well. Scallops and risotto in one dish senses trouble. If he messes up one of those, there may not be hope for him when he has to cook those exact things every night. I don’t think he’ll do too well.

13. Koop Wynkoop- This guy looks like he’s acting tough, but seems like he could be a problem in the kitchen. He seems like someone like Frank who is almost too passionate that he loses side of himself. Here’s hoping he proves me wrong.

12. Heather Williams- Just from experience, cooking a steak in a short amount of time is either the best thing ever, or the worst thing ever. Heather is going to be the first one on the fence.

11. Matt Hearn- Matt just looks like he’ll be a problem or he’ll be a rock star in the kitchen. I really don’t know, and he’s another one on the fence for me. Dove breast? A little weird for me. But we’ll see.

10. Aaron Smock- Aaron is our third wildcard of the bunch. He only wrote “cook” as his occupation. That’s both intriguing and frightening. I’m not sure how this guy will do, but he’s either going to be the best of the season or one of the worst. I hope he’s a pleasant surprise.

9. Shaina Hayden- Yay Long Island! That’s close to home. But a salmon wellington sounds a little weird to me. I really can’t judge her yet, but she seems to be fine for now. Maybe a mid-way boot.

8. Kimberly Ann Ryan- The first of two Kims. She looks tough and game for this competition, but her dish seems a little off. While scallops are fine, the rice crispies are throwing me off. It’s something unusual, and I actually like that, but it just sounds like something that’s bound for disaster. But her game face keeps her higher than the bottom.

7. Gia Young- I don’t know exactly what NY style shrimp and grits are, but I’m excited to find out. Gia seems like she has some personality, and I can’t tell if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. But she’s a New Yorker, so I’ll root for her.

6. Paulie Giganti- He seems like the guy who likes to be experimental, try new things, and tells himself that he’s the best. Jared from last season kind of started on the route of being the hot shot, and it ended up leading to his downfall. I’m worried Paulie will get in his head, and end up getting cut toward the end.

5. Jessica Boynton- She seems like she’ll be easy to get along with. A university chef could be either good or bad, depending on what the university is. Talking about her signature dish, risotto is either hit or miss in the HK kitchen, but if she’s making a risotto for a signature dish, it’s probably a good risotto. The bacon-wrapped chicken is a little uninspired and safe. But she seems to be in an okay position.

4. Pat Tortorello- Like people like Milly and Joe in the past, he is the older guy of the bunch, and sometimes the older guys are hit or miss. But this guy is an INSTRUCTOR of culinary arts. Whether that is beginner or college level, I don’t know, but he’s already got some promise to his name. I like his odds.

3. Kimberly Roth- Kim #2 is cute, and she’s a sushi chef, which is something I don’t think we’ve seen a lot of. I really think she may do well in this competition. I love how she’s not making sushi, and going outside of her comfort zone. Or is the sushi job outside her comfort zone? We don’t know. But I’ll give her a shot.

2. Genaro Delillo- Genaro is someone who looks like your average Joe, which is fine in Hell’s Kitchen. The bigger, odder personalities usually get out at some point. His dish is a duck breast, and if he can nail it, he could do some serious damage in this competition. I like him.

1. Andrew Pearce- Andrew seems like he’s got his game face on. His dish sounds delicious, from the leeks to the mushrooms, and the shell fish broth, all showcasing that beautiful halibut. I’m getting hungry talking about his food. Can he execute? That will be the question. He just looks like a winner to me, so I’ll pick him as my winner pick. I’m usually wrong, but I’m hoping he at least makes it far so I have some glory.

So, obviously, it’s WAY too soon to tell, but I immediately have concerns for Wendy, Aziza, Johnny, Heidi and Devin. Of these five, Wendy has a smile on her face now, but may not by the end of this episode.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Wendy Mendez

Top 10 Tuesdays: Top 10 AGT Performances of Season 11 Sep 20, 2016
imageSo, this is a new thing I’m starting: TOP 10 TUESDAYS! Every Tuesday, I’ll be posting a new top 10 list pertaining to something of my choice. This week, I thought it was appropriate to name the Top 10 Performances of the Season in America’s Got Talent. Of course, I always love to add some honorable mentions that were memorable, but just didn’t make the cut.

Honorable Mentions- Laura Bretan (Quarterfinals), Brian Justin Crum (Semifinals), Viktor Kee (Judge Cuts), Jon Dorenbos (Auditions), and Dorothy Williams (Auditions)

10. Malevo (Judge Cuts)- This was George Lopez’s Golden Buzzer, and the thing that Malevo did was it elevated dance to a whole new style, adding whips and fire. It was something truly new and exciting, and this was the best of their many great performances. It’s a shame they didn’t go further.

9. Calysta Bevier (Quarterfinals)- Calysta lost her mojo in the Semis, but this first live show round was so vulnerable and beautiful, and made us all think Simon’s golden buzzer may win the season. She was so poised, and her arrangement of “Brave” was gorgeous, from the haunting tone, to the amazing effects on the piano. It was a performance that many will remember.

8. Laura Bretan (Semifinals)- I always preferred Laura to Grace (our winner), because Laura was a true performer, and owned the stage every time she came on. Her Semifinal performance was easily her absolute best, and actually topped Grace that week. While Grace was the more unique of the two, she was a true gem this year, and she also has a big career ahead of her.

7. Steven Brundage (Quarterfinals)- Steven was cut at Judge Cuts, and sent people to riot on Social Media. And it ACTUALLY WORKED. This was the performance that Steven came back with, and truly wowed everyone with, and the giant Rubix Cube was just superb. Many can say, “oh I know how he does that” but in the end, no one can solve Rubix Cubes faster than this guy, and perform as well and confident as him.

6. Jon Dorenbos (Finale)- Okay, so the finale was overall above-average, but still not the strongest performance of any of the finalists. They all had their strongest performances in earlier rounds. But Jon saved his best for last, and gave us my favorite finale routine this year. It was emotional, really came from the heart and tugged at our heart strings. It was a great way for him to bid adieu, whether it be a winner or 3rd place (as he received).

5. Grace VanderWaal (Auditions)- I’m not the biggest fan of Grace, but I’ll admit, it was a big shock hearing such a fascinating, unique tone come from this tiny little girl. She really started what was the big success story of the year, and I think the stardom isn’t over for her. I have to give it to her, that song is catchy.

4. Calysta Bevier (Auditions)- Out of all the initial singing auditions, none was as strong or as powerful as Calysta’s. Her story was really what drew me to her, but then her performance of “Fight Song” was flawless. She didn’t hit all the right notes perfectly, but it was the vulnerability and pure potential that made Mr. Cowell hit his buzzer. I was amazed, as was everyone else, I’m sure.

3. Brian Justin Crum (Judge Cuts)- Brian’s voice was something of no other. While Calysta and Grace won the auditions, Brian was the singer of the Judge Cuts. He just delivered so perfectly on his game changing rendition of “Creep.” I really don’t know why he didn’t audition for Idol when it was on, or The Voice, because he’d be an easy winner. I’m sure he’ll go on to do amazing things. This performance set a standard that no other singer came close to. Grace and Laura were younger girls, so they weren’t really in the same category, but as for everyone else, they didn’t come close to match BJC’s amazing vocal talent.

2. The Clairvoyants (Quarterfinals)- The Jelly Bean trick, after hours of rewatching, is still something I cannot figure out. This makes me think that it wasn’t a trick at all. These guys always brought something interesting, new, and creative to the table, but this act put them over the edge and flew them to the proceeding rounds. This trick was something I’ve never seen before, and was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen on the show.

1. Tape Face (Audition)- I’ll admit, I was always a Tape Face fan, but lost the super big support toward the end. And that is because his audition was so strong. Definitely the most unusual audition of all time, but the most memorable, and overall, most creative audition I’ve ever seen. It was fun, quirky, unique, and something everyone will remember. If only he had ended with this act, it would’ve given him a much better shot, because I believe that this will be the moment I will remember from this season in years to come. While we discovered many voices, the one without speech flooded to our hearts.

Dancing With The Stars S23 Power Rankings (Round Two) Sep 19, 2016
imageNow here’s the nitty-gritty, the first elimination of the year. So who fell lower than expected, and who rose to the top? Did Ryan Lochte bounce back from the controversy? Did we get some awesome TV Routines? Did Len give more 8’s than Julianne? One of those is definitely true, two are up for opinion, but regardless, here’s my opinion!

13. Amber Rose and Maksim Chmerkovskiy- I love “Game of Thrones.” I had such high expectations, but I was so let down. It was a clunky mess, with Maks just putting Amber where she had to go. This could’ve been the best routine of the night, given a good celebrity, but unfortunately, Maks couldn’t save it from the disaster it was.

12. Rick Perry and Emma Slater- He was the worst of the night last week, but still wasn’t the worst dancer the show has seen. This was even better than last week, but that isn’t saying a ton, considering it was still just a silly mess at times. It was too goofy to take seriously, and I think it’s the end of the road for Rick. But it still wasn’t the “Game of Thrones” travesty I saw earlier, so that’s a plus!

11. Jake T. Austin and Jenna Johnson- Let’s just start by saying that the singers in this song just ruined it, pitch problems and awful tone together. As for the dance, it was fun and whatever, but again, Jake misses a lot of steps, and isn’t showing the same potential that Hayes Grier did in his season. Jake may be in trouble, because I don’t know if his fanbase is watching, or if he even has a fan base anymore.

10.  Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke- Ryan got back in the “arena” and danced. That’s all that matters. Was his dancing good? Eh. Was it fun? Yes. Ryan needs to work on the dancing, but he already has quite a story arc to follow.

9. Vanilla Ice and Witney Carson- This was an amazing set done by the crew of DWTS, so props to them. As for Ice, he actually had some grace and elegance in his dancing. It wasn’t amazing, but he is showing some serious potential. It was forgettable by the end of the night, but he shows enough potential to get votes, and it wasn’t the best nor the worst of the night.

8. Maureen McCormick and Artem Chigvinstev- The Brady Bunch theme already brings a smile to my face before it even starts. This was immensely better than last time. It’s not perfect, but this was a fun, feel good dance. I loved seeing Florence Henderson make a cameo. It was a great way to start off the show and the smile never ceased.

7. Marilu Henner and Derek Hough- Derek is a pro among pros, but he had trouble choreographing this. But altogether, it came together magically, and was one of the better dances of the night. Marilu has proved a lot so far, now she just needs to show stamina, and that she can do this every week and deliver high scores.

6. Babyface Edmonds and Allison Holker- Talk about surprise of the night. Babyface fricken rocked it, and gave a surprising front runner turn in this competition. While some of the technicalities weren’t spot on, this was a huge improvement from last week, and easily one of the best of the night. I am so impressed, and any doubts I have are now gone.

5. James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess- This zombie routine was so cool, and in my mind overstored. But that’s what happens when you pull out 8s in week 1, the expectations are high. James has a lot to live up to now, but I think he’s on the right track.

4. Terra Jole and Sasha Farber- Terra is such a little bundle of joy, and I really enjoyed this dance. She hit all the steps, and I am incredibly impressed with what Sasha is doing, and how he is choreographing these dances. They could be dark horses and really make it deep in this thing.

3. Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko- Wow. For an injury, Jana really persevered and had one of my favorite dances tonight. She was phenomenal, super sexy as always, and only had some minor minor flaws. For week 2, she’s definitely one to watch.

2. Calvin Johnson and Lindsay Arnold- What?! This guy has such fun and grace in every step he takes and it was one of my favorite routines of the night, by far. He is just such a joy to watch, and a lot of the footwork was surprisingly light and joyful, unlike last week. He’s already growing as a dancer, and if he continues this, he could be our dark horse.

1.  Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy- Laurie is top of the leaderboard again, and rightfully so. Until everyone else sinks into it more, Laurie will continue to be on top. She already has some experience. But so far, she’s won two power rankings, and that is just because she brings so much fun, charm, and energy to the dance floor. Now, let’s see her do a slower dance, and see if she really is all that amazing. I hope and bet she is, and I hope this isn’t the last time we see her on top of the rankings!

Laurie may have this thing in the bag if she can prove herself with a slow dance. Marilu and James were front runners, but Calvin, Jana, Terra, and Babyface were great surprises, also joining them as frontrunners. The rest are all gonna get picked off sooner or later. Vanilla Ice, Amber, and Ryan should have the fan bases (even with the scandals, Ryan will have lots of people voting for him), and that leaves Maureen, Rick, and Jake. Maureen did fine tonight, but going first could hurt her. Jake may have a younger following, but this dance was just a mess. But all in all, I think Rick Perry will be saying goodbye tonight on DWTS.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- Rick Perry and Emma Slater

Survivor S33 Power Rankings (Pre-Game: Top 20) Sep 18, 2016
imageA new season of Survivor, and I couldn’t be more excited! Here we are, a brand new crop of contestants, and a beautiful location of the Fiji islands. SERIOUSLY, it’s beautiful. And this new group of castaways look great, and eager to play. So here’s how we rank them a week in advance.

20. Sunday Burquest- Sunday is gonna be fun to watch, but I don’t see her lasting long. She is older than a lot of her team, and I could see people voting her out in the first few tribal councils. She won’t be the best challenge player, or strategist, and she isn’t a social beast enough to make it far. Sorry, but Sunday, this just isn’t the right game for you.

19. Rachel Ako- Rachel is an odd one for me. I think being a model in the Millennial side is okay, but in the Gen X tribe, I don’t think they’re looking for love necessarily, so her flirty side isn’t going to really be a super big advantage for her. She’s gonna be on people’s boot lists as an early boot, and I’m gonna have to agree.

18. Michelle Schubert- I have nothing against religion, but the super religious people on Survivor rarely do well, and usually play with less backstabbing and they never seem to do too well. If she can try to get rid of some of that, and play up the flirting game, I could see her make it a few weeks, but once some of her team catches on to the flirting or the faith, Michelle will see her downfall.

17. Chris Hammons- Chris comes across as a villainous character to me, and I could see him getting “John Rocker”ed and sent home earlier than expected. The Alpha-Males are getting targeted more and more recently, so I don’t think Chris’s odds will be too great. He’ll start to lead, people will be annoyed, and send him home.

16. Hannah Shapiro- Hannah gives me the Shirin or Aubrey vibe. She’s quirky and adorable, but the only thing is, with a group of young people, she may be on the outs of her tribe. She is a super fan, so I really hope she can do well in the competition, but she just needs to find an alliance early on, or she’ll find herself on the outs, and someone who her tribe can say “she’s an easy boot” to.

15. Mari Takahashi- Mari is quirky like Hannah, but she has a lot of brains, and I think her strategy will work slightly better than Hannah’s will. She seems to be someone who will be super focused on winning, and has both endurance and mental strength working for her. While Hannah wants to work with her, I think Mari will have a better shot of lasting, but will still be taken out somewhat early for being too manipulative.

14. David Wright- I really like David, and I think he’ll be a big gamer. I’m just worried that he won’t be able to fit in with all the big guys on his team. He may have a tough time adjusting to all of the changes, from the challenges to the outdoors. He’s someone people are gonna like watching, but he’s gotta get over his lack of confidence to do well in this game.

13. Jessica Lewis- Jessica is someone who will probably lay under the radar and I could see her being sent home right before the merge for just not bringing anything to the game strategically or physically. I just see her getting lost in the mix.

12. Ken McNickle- He is LJ 2.0, and that is both a good and bad thing. He seems like he’s gonna be good in challenges, which is the pro. The negative is that he is boring, and seems like he may not be everyone’s cup of tea. He is a nice guy, but in a team with some big characters, it may be tough for the “normal” guy to fit in. He will probably get to the merge, but I could see the Millennials seeing him as the number one target to get out.

11. Lucy Huang- Lucy is gonna be someone who won’t go home in the pre-merge because of her strength in challenges. But going into the merge, I could see people getting her out quickly. She doesn’t look like she’ll be the best socially, so her team will use her for the challenges, then cut her at the merge. That’s my gut instinct.

10. Taylor Stocker- Taylor is gonna be great for challenges, and great for some entertainment at camp. But I could see him then being targeted at the merge. He will win challenges, and I think more people will flock to Jay than to Taylor, and Taylor will have a lesser story arc, finishing in the early jury.

9. Zeke Smith- I kept saying to myself “I’m gonna hate Zeke.” But he’s super funny, and someone who I could see being a very good game player. He just needs to find the right alliance, and not find himself on the outside early on. He’s a super big wildcard, who will either be first out or make it to the end.

8. CeCe Taylor- CeCe is cool, and looks like she could be a beast this season. She is going to be a hard worker, and be a huge asset for her team. She is smart, and will be super good at adapting and negotiating her way through. She is someone I could see making it super far in this game, and making it to the merge, but getting cut short being a big threat.

7. Paul Wachter- Paul is a cool dude. He seems like he’ll be the Tarzan, Big Tom, or Phillip figure. He is gonna be so unusual but funny, and I assume people will want to work with him and use him to get far in the game. Will he win? I’m not sure if he’ll have the strategy to make it to the end, but lots of people will want him to go far with him, knowing they can beat him.

6. Will Wahl- He’s a young guy, but he’s also got a super big amount of game. He’s going to be a villain, and sometimes the mindset works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Will won’t win, but he could make it far, and then get crushed right before the finale, and return for a Heroes vs. Villains 2 when he is more experienced and has had time to grow.

5. Jay Starrett- Jay is gonna be the Ozzy, Joe, or Malcolm figure. And that rarely gets you the win. He’ll make the merge easily, but anyone letting him make the finals is stupid, because he could win. But he already seems more interesting than Joe, Ozzy, or Malcolm combined, so I’m definitely routing for Jay to go far.

4. Figgy Figueroa- Figgy is really cool, and has a bunch of different sides to her. I think people will really mesh well with her, and unlike Michelle, she has more than just flirting to get her way to the end. She seems like she’ll be a huge physical help in challenges, and will be a good alliance member. She may stir up some drama eventually, but if she can find the right alliance, I think Figgy can go deep in this game.

3. Bret LaBelle- I LOVE BRET! Bret is a cop, and people may be able to pick up on that, but the difference between him and Tony is that he is going to be more likable, and will be able to make a more concrete alliance. He’s someone that I think a lot of people will be drawn too and really like, and that makes him the most probably Gen X winner, in my opinion. It’ll just be a matter of who is sitting in the jury.

2. Michaela Bradshaw- Michaela is great! She is coming from the bottom, and I think she’ll fit in with the right crowd and sail through with the right alliance. She’s on the Millennial side, but she has a mind set of someone who is a hard worker, and who has already been on the bottom and problem-solved her way out of the troubles. She is already one step ahead of the game.

1. Adam Klein- Adam is really cool, and one of my favorites out here. His goals of winning for his mom are amazing, and highly admirable. I think he’ll be someone who can find a solid alliance, and run it to the end. He seems like a genuine guy, but not threatening enough for people to really be scared of him. Adam can go deep, and I hope he does. I like his story, and will pick him as my winner for now.

So, I have a lot of early favorites. Even Hannah, Mari, and David are favorites of mine, but realistically, I don’t see them going super deep. I see the Millennials dominating the game, and making up 5/6 of the end. A lot of the big characters, like Will, Paul, and Zeke will probably be cut around mid-merge. As for the Gen X, Bret is the only one I truly see being a winner. CeCe and Paul show some potential, but I just don’t know if they can win it all. I see potential in Figgy and Jay, but Michaela and Adam seem to have the best stories and push to win. That’s why I think they’ll be our final two, with Bret our resident Gen X, sitting in third place with a jury made up mostly of Millennials. Between Adam and Michaela, it’s hard to chose, but I think Adam is someone who people will really route for, and will make the best game moves. As for first boot, I think Gen X loses, and gets rid of their oddest cookie.

Big Brother S18 Power Rankings (Finals) Sep 18, 2016
imageThe finals are already here. It feels so soon, despite this being the longest season ever. While we have had some duds (Zakiyah), some disappointing returns (Frank), entertaining returns (Da’Vonne), some shocking blindsides (Bridgette), and people with high expectations having major downfalls (Paulie). We even had record breaking contestants (Victor), lots of showmances (James-Nat, Corey-Nicole), and a strategy revolving around one word: FRIENDSHIP (Paul). We have had cryers (Tiffany), mega-cryers (Michelle), and those who were either too confident (Jozea) or overly positive (Bronte). And then there’s one contestant who only lasted a day in the house (Glenn). Regardless, it’s been a roller coaster of fun, emotion, and backstabbing. And now we have three, Paul, Nicole, and James. So who is gonna win? Let’s see.

3. James Huling- As much as I love James, I don’t know if he can win. While some juries in the past have played with their hearts, I think this jury will honor gameplay, and as much as James had a great social game, he wasn’t a challenge beast like last time, and he relied a lot on riding in the middle this season. And when you think about who will be fighting for them in the jury, Nicole has big, charming Corey, Paul has big, powerful Vic, and James has sweet, little Natalie. I think Natalie’s gonna have a harder time swaying the jury in his favor. Also, I’m not sure if Paul or Nicole would bring him to the end anyway, because he is too likable, and James will have to rely on winning the challenge to make it to the end. Unfortunately, he has been the weakest in challenges of the three. While I’m routing for him, I don’t think he has a great shot.

2. Nicole Franzel- While I’d love to see another female winner, I don’t want it to be Nicole. She’s been quite snobby and relied too much on Corey to get her this far. While she may not be a personal favorite, if the jury thinks her gameplay was admirable, they may vote for her. She has had her moments, but not enough in my mind to be a winner. But she has a lot going for her. I think Paul would take her over James, and I think she can beat James in both challenges in the HOH final. So, she might be the safest bet for a finale spot, but if she gets to the final 2, I don’t think she wins. She won’t be shut out, but she may not win.

1. Paul Abrahamian- This guy has played a game solely on social genius, while going from bottom to the top. He found the secret room, he saved his butt too many times in the game, he made alliances with everyone, and won lots of challenges. He’s someone who I could definitely see winning the game. The only thing he has going against him is some of the things he has said to Michelle, but if he can smooth talk the jury, he has a great shot. In terms of gameplay, Nicole may have made big moves, but Paul made the risky moves, and the smarter moves in getting himself to the end. I’d be very happy to see Paul as the winner of Big Brother 18.

So, there are positives to every winning scenario. James is the most likable, Nicole would be the first female winner since BB13, and Paul is the biggest underdog story of zero to hero. I have to give the edge to Paul. Not only is he the most likely to win the final HOH, but he’s also someone who has played the game from start to finish, and so, I say he wins this whole thing.

PREDICTIONS:

Winner- Paul Abrahamain

Second Place- Nicole Franzel

Third Place- James Huling
