Survivor S33 Power Rankings (Top 19)

Sep 24, 2016 by PowerRankings101
imageSo this new season of Survivor has already started with one of the  best premieres ever. Not only did we get a crop of new, amazing contestants, but a new twist in the game, and an insane storm! The Legacy advantage is in Jessica’s hands, but is subject to change. With this new unknown power, how will the game shift? Let’s see what I think.

19. CeCeTaylor- Wow, this came as a shock to me as well. It’s not that I don’t like her, but she got the second most votes on her tribe, which is never good. Being on the bottom of her tribe will either propel her to start playing harder, or it means that she will be the next one out if the Millennials win again.

18. Taylor Stocker- I really liked Taylor in the first episode, except the previews suggest that maybe the “cool kids” alliance is in some danger. Taylor is definitely the person binding the group together, and could be blindsided in the second boot position. As we’ve seen over the years, sometimes stronger players are taken out early. It’s a big deal of strategy, and sometimes never depends on actual strength.

17. Figgy Figueroa- FIggy is likable enough, but she’s in the “cool kids” alliance, which looks like they might get targeted. The problem with her is, the group might think Taylor is more of an asset in challenges, and Figgy may fall victim for that. It’s a problem, and showmances usually never last. This isn’t Big Brother.

16. Paul Wachter- While I like Paul, people seem to get easily annoyed by him. While he seemed to be in the majority, he could easily find himself being booted out for being the oldest guy, and someone they feel is dead weight.

15. David Wright- I think David is way too intense and eager for this first episode. But I think he is learning, and I think he’ll be someone to keep an eye on this season. He was in danger, but pulled himself out with some loyalty. While I want to rank him higher, he had a rough first episode, so until he truly proves that he is a contender, he won’t be moving up yet.

14. Hannah Shapiro- I really love Hannah, and I think she can take it all the way, IF she gets out one of the four “cool kids.” If she doesn’t, she’ll probably be the odd one out, going home. So she’s staying low for now, but as soon as she hopefully makes that move, we’ll see her jump up in the rankings.

13. Sunday Burquest- Sunday seemed to stay in the majority, but I still have mixed feelings on how I think she’ll do in this competition.

12. Michelle Schubert- While she is likable at camp, she is in that “Foursome of Cool Kids.” But I doubt she’ll be the most threatening of the four. She should be safe.

11. Lucy Huang- The next three are just three people who really didn’t do much of anything in this first episode. Barely even a confessional. But they should be safe.

10. Michaela Bradshaw- Same with Lucy. She was invisible this episode. But I get good vibes.

9. Will Wahl- Aside from his age, we got nothing else from him, like Michaela and Lucy. He’s safe for now, but his age is the only thing I remember.

8. Mari Takahashi- I really really like Mari. She’s cool and definitely someone to watch out for. If she aligns herself with Hannah, she is making a smart move. But if she doesn’t, she may be making a mistake and putting herself on the outs. Regardless, I think she’s okay for some time.

7. Zeke Smith- It was great to see Zeke already opening up and already living the dream. His team hasn’t said anything bad about him, but he still isn’t 100% in with everyone yet. Give it another week or two, but I already love Zeke.

6. Jay Starrett- Jay seems to be the one in the “Core 4” who knows what’s up, as the preview suggests. He is playing with brains, while Taylor is playing with feelings. Jay should avoid elimination, and could actually be the one who turns on this alliance.

5. Adam Klein- Adam is already one of my favorites, and my pre-season pick is making me proud. He had a good first episode, and was super likable. His story is empowering too. Still a huge fan, probably always will be.

4. Ken McNickle- Ken is fitting in great with this tribe, and giving me super good vibes. While I was afraid he’d get cocky about his knowledge of living outdoors, he stayed a little under the radar, which I liked. He could go further than I thought.

3. Bret LaBelle- Bret was someone I immediately liked in the bunch. He seems to be in a pretty good position, and helped a lot of the strategy in this first round.

2. Chris Hammons- I think I was most wrong about Chris. He isn’t that horrible and mean, like I assumed. He seems like the leader that Gen X needs, and he’s also making some good strategic moves. If he can whip David into shape, he’s got a powerful squad working for him.

1. Jessica Lewis- Jessica was a huge surprise for me. She’s in the majority alliance, good in challenges, and she found the Legacy twist! While she may be voted out before using it, I have to give her credit on being the first person to find anything out there! It’s a big deal, especially being an unknown twist. And she can definitely use that to her advantage to sway people to her side. The person we all thought would be forgettable or boring may actually surprise us.

So immediately, Adam, Bret, Jay, and Zeke uphold my expectations, while Jessica, Chris, Ken, and Mari really exceeded them. As for who goes home? I think the Millennials are still the stronger team, and Gen X will lose the person who is safest to get out this week.

PREDICTIONS:

Going Home- CeCe Taylor

Hmm, so basically the Millenials are like the Fans in Caramoan, except with a twist?  Interesting.

I'm hoping that Hannah can pull an Aubrey, she seems very smart and it looks like she knows what she's doing so I think she's got a real shot at going far
