PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After voting out Alina, Nemo felt on the outs, but knew he had an idol. He didn’t want to have to waste it so early, and hoped to find a crack in the main alliance. He figured he could pull over Abe and wanted to find one more person to align with him. Cydney, Taj, and Erik were getting along well, but Cydney definitely saw that Taj and Erik were unbreakably close. Cydney knew that if she wanted to win, she would have to split it up sooner rather than later, and approached Abe about possibly asking Nemo to make a big move. Knowing he had the idol too, Abe felt good about being in this power position and wanted to make a big move too. At the Victory beach, Marty was finding Brenda and Nadiya to be quite annoying, as they kept talking about how Joel and Kass were easy boots. Marty thought that it wasn’t fair to just peg someone as an outsider for a previous tribe they were on for one day. Marty told Joel that he had his back, and Brenda and Nadiya were a dangerous pair they needed to split up if they got the chance. On tribe Glory, everyone was soaring on the immunity high, but Alexis knew things were going to eventually heat up, and wanted to try to get an alliance going with Andrea and Cirie, admiring their previous ways of playing. Alexis was also close with Glenn and Dylan, and hoped to have complete control of the tribe, but in a very undercover way. Vanessa noticed that Alexis wasn’t very talkative to her, which gave her something to think about in the future. At the challenge, it was clear that endurance was the name of the game, as the five members of each team would have to hold up a giant boulder. If they dropped it, they lost. Simple as that. Kass and Alexis sat out. Joel and Marty made sure to get a clear base for their tribe, while Erik, Nemo, and Taj all struggled with theirs. Glenn saw that Cirie and Vanessa were having issues too. Both the Glory and Triumph tribes dropped at similar times, but Triumph hit the ground first, sending them to tribal. Back at camp, Cydney wanted to make her move, knowing Taj would be more forgiving than Erik, seeing as how Erik took the Brenda boot back in Caramoan. Abe knew it would be tough for him to lie to Erik and Taj, but decided to just stay quiet in general. At tribal, Taj said that Nemo was the easy boot, but it was very nice knowing such a charming young man. When the vote came around, Nemo got two votes, and Erik got two, surprising Erik. When the final vote was revealed to be Erik, Erik was incredibly shocked and hurt that his tribe turned on him, especially Cydney. “Gotta beat the best,” Cydney said. Taj was also shocked, and knew she would have to confront the issue soon.
