PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Knowing he had screwed up, Gavin had to talk to Devon and Brendan about flipping and trying to blindside Tijuana. “I just felt like Rocker’s conflict with others would be a bigger target to keep in the game,” Gavin said. Brendan forgave him, but Devon worried that Gavin would be dangerous down the line. Jamie, knowing he was on his own, went searching for an idol, still not knowing there were none this season. Jamie was frustrated and contemplated quitting, but knew his tribe needed him, despite him being alone. At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to go head to head in a wrestling challenge to try to get a member for the other tribe in the water. First was Jill and Ronnie. Jill put up a fight, and actually managed to get Ronnie in the water first. 1 point Tigers. T-Bird and Tijuana were next, and Tijuana hustled to get T-Bird in the water. 1-1. Tyler and Chris were next, and no doubt, Chris won. 2-1 Ostriches. Ken and Jamie were next, and Jamie was able to put the tribe up 3-1. Angela took on Devon next, and lost miserably as well. This gave the Ostriches the clinched win, and the final two rounds didn’t need to play out. At camp, the Tigers knew that they had to unanimously boot Jeff. Jeff, wanting to seek a last ditch effort, talked to Kenny and told him that Tyler threw him the last individual immunity challenge so he could be safe. Kenny didn’t know this, and told Michelle that Tyler threw it to Jeff to guarantee Willard going home last. Michelle was upset, and told T-Bird and Angela that she wanted to blindside Tyler. T-BIrd thought it was too soon, and told Jill that Michelle and Angela were going to turn on Tyler. Jill knew this was bad news, and told Tyler that Jeff was spreading stuff around about him throwing the challenge. Tyler knew he had thrown it to Jeff, but just needed to gain trust from his tribe. Tyler called the girls and Kenny together. “Listen,” Tyler said, “I really felt like Willard was dragging the team down and I wanted to guarantee it, so I stepped down. But I am 100% on board to vote Jeff this round, and never intended on it solidifying a long-term bond.” Angela believed him, as did T-Bird. Kenny and Michelle still struggled to believe that he wasn’t in it for the long haul for Jeff. At tribal council, Tyler said that he came clean about throwing the challenge to Jeff last week, but going forward, he was solid with the girls and Kenny. Michelle said that she just couldn’t trust a word, and needed to see a vote. Jeff said that he knew he was on the outs and hoped that the tribe was least trusting of Tyler. When all was said and done, Jeff voted Tyler, while Tyler voted Jeff. At the mercy of his tribe, Tyler prayed, and sure enough, Jill, T-Bird, Ken, Angela, and Michelle voted for Jeff. Jeff was gone, but felt proud of the game he played up till that point. Tyler breathed a sigh of relief, but hoped that a merge was coming sooner rather than later….it wasn’t. Before the night was over, a cry was made for the medical crew, as an incident had happened before the tribes settled for bed…the medical crew made their way out to one of the camps…
