SURVIVOR: RANDOMIZED Episode 4

imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Tyler felt on the outs after seeing the tribe vote out Devens. “I know that myself and Willard are on the complete outs of the game, and the girls are running the show,” Tyler said, “so rather than try to get the guys together, I should just work with the enemy.” Tyler approached Jill, saying that he felt blindsided, and Jill said that she didn’t know which guys were on their side. Tyler said that he’d have her back if she had his, and Jill shook on it. Jill told her fellow alliance of T-Bird, Angela, and Michelle that Tyler wanted to work with them. “At this point,” T-Bird said, “Jeff and Ken S are the obvious next two to go, and I think we can keep Willard and Tyler around as numbers, and have our go at the top dogs.” At the Ostrich camp, the power struggle between John and Jamie continued, with both being hard to be around at camp. “One of them has gotta go next,” Tijuana said. Jamie and John went off to fish, and Tijuana gathered up Ronnie, Lucy, Chris, Devon, Gavin, and Brendan and said that the group should come together to boot Jamie or John should they lose. The whole group agreed, but Gavin spoke to Brendan and Devon afterward and said “I honestly think Jamie and John are going to be super useful in challenges, and having their tension may actually be a big target for us going forward.” Brendan and Devon agreed, and Devon said that Lucy and Chris were flying under the radar and not really bothering anybody. At the immunity challenge, the tribes had to shoot balls from slingshots into large targets. The team to hit the most targets first won. Tyler wanted to prove himself to his tribe, and did a great job scoring. On the other tribe, Lucy and Tijuana were struggling to hit their targets. Devon tried his best to make up for it, but Rocker’s frustration and Lucy and Tijuana’s inabilities prevented them from winning the challenge. Back at camp, Tijuana apologized for her challenge performance, but felt reassured that her tribe would have her back. “It’s Rocker tonight, right?” she asked Lucy. Lucy nodded, and talked to Chris, who also agreed. Ronnie didn’t know if it would help the tribe strength, but didn’t want to go against the herd. Rocker was frustrated, and Brendan talked to him, telling him that there was a chance for him to stay. “Lucy and Chris are tight,” Brendan told him, “if you and Jamie are willing to vote with Gavin, Devon, and I,” he said, “we can split up the truest duo here.” John argued that Tijuana and Ronnie were just as close, but Brendan assured him that they were only together out of necessity. Devon was worried that Rocker and Jamie wouldn’t vote with them, and Gavin suggested trying to get Tijuana, Ronnie, Lucy, and Chris to split the votes. Devon talked to Jamie, telling him the plan, and Jamie was annoyed, wanting to get rid of Rocker. “The plan only works if you’re in,” Devon said. Gavin talked to Chris, saying that it would be safer to split the vote between Rocker and Jamie. “I’ll vote Rocker with you, Lucy, and Brendan, and Devon will vote Jamie with Tijuana and Ronnie,” Gavin said. Chris thought this was a good plan and relayed this to Lucy, Tijuana, and Ronnie. At tribal council, Rocker said that him and Jamie had some disagreements again, but for the sake of the tribe winning challenges, they needed to get their heads together. Brendan said that, as a coach, he felt like he needed to unify the tribe somehow, and wanted to step up as a leader. Jamie said that h didn’t need a lead, but definitely needed to be less conflicting with Rocker. Tijuana said that she was potentially worried about her challenge performance, but was assured that her tribe had her back. After the vote, Rocker got 2 votes from Chris and Lucy, while Jamie got 2 votes from Tijuana and Ronnie. Jamie and Rocker voted for Lucy, surprising her. The next three votes were Gavin, Brendan, and Devon’s votes, and they all decided to go with the plan to split up Lucy and Chris, and voted for Lucy. Lucy was shocked and upset, and Chris felt blindsided as ever. Jamie and Rocker shook hands at the end, to finally settle their qualms and agree to move forward, while Brendan hoped stepping up into a leadership position would bring the tribe together.
