PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: Colby was sick of Russell’s antics, and talked to Fabio and Alison. “At this point, Corinne was my white whale, and now I want Russell out,” he said. Fabio and Alison were frustrated because they had just solidified a pact with Sugar, Francesca, Abi, and Russell. Colby talked to Terry and told him that he wanted to work with him against Russell. Terry was on board, saying that he always wanted to work with Colby. At the immunity challenge, the group had to stand on a wobbly platform in the water. Last one standing won immunity. Angelina, Abi, and Francesca were all out first. Russell and Colby dropped shortly after. Sugar was next, followed by Alison and Terry. It was down to Chris Noble and Fabio. Fabio didn’t want his target to be too big, and knew that Chris wasn’t really on anyone’s radars, so he jumped in. Chris won immunity. Back at camp, Russell told Abi, Francesca, and Sugar that voting for Terry was probably the best move right now. Colby told Alison and Fabio that they had to jump with Terry, Chris, and Angelina to vote out Russell. Alison was really worried that Russell had an idol, and brought up the idea of splitting the vote between him and Francesca, as Francesca was probably a more likable player than Sugar or Abi in the end. Angelina was worried that splitting the votes 3-3 would allow all four of them to vote for someone, and they had to put all their votes on the same person. “Why don’t we put all our votes on Fran, that way Russell can flush the idol, and we don’t lose anybody on our side,” Angelina suggested. Alison wasn’t Angelina’s biggest fan, but definitely thought this was a good plan. Colby really wanted to put all the votes on Russell. “Even if I go home because he plays an idol, at least I tried,” Colby said, wanting desperately to go after Russell. “I’m worried that Colby is going to be a liability down the line if he’s this stubborn,” Angelina told Chris and Terry. Terry didn’t like how quick Angelina was to throw Colby under the bus, and knew he had to keep an eye on her. At tribal council, Russell said that he felt good having the majority, and it would probably be Terry or Angelina going home. Terry said that he was definitely worried, as he was a good challenge competitor, and he felt like Russell was definitely gaining too much power. Alison commented that Russell was an interesting player because he was the biggest target while simultaneously being in the most control. After the votes were read, the majority waited for Russell to play his idol, but he didn’t. Colby was upset, knowing they could’ve taken a shot at him. When the votes came in, Colby still voted for Russell, while Russell, Abi, Francesca, and Sugar voted for Terry. Chris, Angelina, and Terry voted for Francesca, as the backup in case Russell did in fact have an idol. It was 4-3-1, and down to Fabio and Alison’s votes. Alison and Fabio decided to vote for Francesca, sending her to redemption island, without much explanation aside from trying to flush an idol. “Sorry Fran, we thought he had an idol,” Fabio said. Russell exclaimed, “way to spoil your game plan genius.”
