PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With the ten pairs of rivals arriving on the beach, they all knew they had something to prove. Right away, they found out that they had to go head to head in a duel. The two would stand on a log, and try to balance as the log wobbled. Whoever fell in first would immediately go to tribal council and vote off somebody in the bunch, while the winner would go to a luxury camp and enjoy a camp furnished with furniture, some spices, and a nice covering from rain. “This is luxury, and I would finally be able to relax on day one and not build the shelter” Rob said. Rob and Russell were up first, and Russell seemed a bit out of his element, falling right away, giving Rob the win and the spot in the luxury camp. Alison and Angelina were next, and Angelina wanted to dig deep and prove she was a competitor, but fell right away as well, giving Alison the win. “Maybe this will shut her up,” Alison said, talking some smack. Chris and Dom were next, and shook hands knowing they were going to have fun this season. “Hey, we’re on separate tribes, that’s all that matters,” Dom said after he fell and Chris won the spot in the luxury camp. Francesca vs. Phillip was next, and Phillip stared her down like the secret agent he was, to which Francesca laughed, as she won her duel. “I’m not going home first,” she cheered! Phillip screamed “shut up!” This made several of the group look puzzled. Corinne and Sugar were next and Corinne knew she didn’t want to be on a tribe with Phillip, and hustled, winning the duel. Margaret and Judd were next. “It’s been a while,” Margaret said. Margaret slipped, and Judd won the duel. Aras and Terry were next, and both smiled, seemingly putting the feud behind them. Terry won, and Aras said “this feels familiar,” as he walked to the loser mat. Abi and RC were next and RC said “I hope they vote you off before a swap, or I may go crazy if I’m ever on your tribe.” After this, she got Abi in the water quicker than anyone yet, earning immunity and joining the luxury camp. RC was ready for the battle to begin, knowing she won this first battle. Fabio and NaOnka were next and Fabio asked if she was going to quit again? NaOnka was pissed and fell off the log, saying that she was distracted. “I hope you lose real soon Fabio,” she said. Last was Colby and Jerri. Jerri was able to win, and went “I can’t believe I beat challenge beast Colby.” Colby shrugged it off, heading to the loser mat. The winning ten people went to their luxury camp to enjoy a night off of gameplay. “This is the life, and to know that I was the person who won my point the quickest,” RC said, “makes me feel like a big asset.” At camp, Alison read a note that read “HERE’S A TWIST. EVEN THOUGH ONE OF YOUR RIVALS IS GOING TO BE VOTED OFF TONIGHT, REDEMPTION ISLAND IS IN PLAY.” Francesca looked upset, as she couldn’t handle Redemption Island on her season, and Rob was happy knowing that he won the original Redemption Island season and could do it again. “Let’s celebrate tonight and worry tomorrow,” Terry said, to which everyone cheered. At tribal council, the losing group knew that they didn’t have any time to strategize. “I’ll start by saying that I know I’ll be targeted early, but I really wanna be here and help y’all win some challenges,” Russell said. NaOnka chimed in saying “I think the vote should be as unanimous as possible, and I think we could all do without Phillip.” Phillip got upset and stood up, “how dare you throw my name out like that?” Phillip and NaOnka got into a fight, to which Domenick stood up and whispered in Aras’ ear, in which Aras whispered to Colby. “What are you whispering about Colby?” Sugar asked. “Oh Sugar, it’s been a while,” Colby said. Sugar said that it was obvious that some of the weaker people like herself, NaOnka, and Margaret were going to be out of the loop, and Colby said that he and Sugar had a bit of tension in Heroes vs. Villains, but he wanted to be as united as possible, and thought there was a pretty obvious target. Russell knew he was talking about him and said, “Sugar, if you feel like you’re on the outs, join with me and we can do something.” Sugar got up and started whispering with Russell. Margaret commented that this was the craziest tribal she has ever seen. NaOnka tried talking to Domenick and Angelina, who were sitting close to her. It was time to vote, and the majority of the tribe didn’t know what they were going to do. After voting, Russell had hoped that he wasn’t going home first. Colby and Aras decided to vote for Russell, Phillip decided to vote for NaOnka, while the rest of the tribe voted for Phillip. Phillip was mad, but the entire tribe found out that they would be going to Redemption Island when voted out. Phillip said “I didn’t ever go to redemption when I was voted out my first season, so I’m willing to put in the effort and win my way back.” NaOnka said “bye Phillip!” on the way out, to which Phillip flipped her off and walked out of tribal. The tribe went back to their crappier, barren camp, with nothing but flint, a machete, and a bag of rice. “It’s going to be an uphill battle,” Domenick said, “but we got out a pretty crazy, negative person, so let’s win it!’ Aras and Colby knew they were probably on the outs of the tribe, but were hoping the next morning would bring a fresh new start to the game.
