PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: With Joel gone, Alexis and Dylan knew they were by themselves, even with Andrea’s vote on their side. “Andrea will cut us if she gets the chance,” Alexis said. Andrea knew she had to clear things up with Cirie, and told her that she still wanted to work with her going forward. Cirie told Andrea that she didn’t know who to trust, but Andrea decided to show Cirie the idol she had. “At this point, I need as many numbers as I can get, and I want Cirie to trust me over Brenda 100%,” Andrea said. Andrea wanted to have complete security, and have another idol as back-up and realized that there still may be one out there. While getting water, Kirby and Abe saw Andrea searching, and Abe made a plan to distract her, while Kirby went and searched, and found an idol. Abe and Kirby were excited to find the idol, but Kirby was especially excited having two idols in possession. Andrea was frustrated that Abe had distracted her, and she had a suspicion that Kirby had found it, and told Alexis and Dylan. “Kirby may have an idol, and we need to flush it out,” she told Alexis and Dylan. At the challenge, the contestants found out that they would be doing a sudden death challenge, and someone would be sent home immediately. The challenge was to hold your breath under water…Nemo obviously had an advantage, so he had to do the total opposite and hold his breath out of water while the rest were in. Whoever was out first would be sent home, and the last one underwater (or in Nemo’s case, out of water) would win immunity. Nemo knew that this could be the challenge he won. Both Cirie and Alexis took poor breaths, and popped out at similar times, but Alexis’ head came above the surface first, and she was immediately sent home, devastating herself. Abe, Brenda, and Dylan followed, and sat next to Cirie as Alexis packed her things, hugged Dylan and left. Andrea was next out, leaving it down to Kirby underwater and Nemo above ground. Kirby couldn’t hold his breath long enough, and lost, giving Nemo his first immunity win. Dylan was upset, knowing his best friend, Alexis, was gone, and that Nemo won unfairly. “I don’t think someone who did something different than all of us got rewarded and gets to stay another day,” he said. Back at camp, Dylan and Andrea talked. Andrea said that she was worried it would be her going home, but Dylan thought they’d probably split the votes, and decided to go searching for the idol. Andrea knew she had to peg someone else as the target, so she could play her idol and still have Dylan stay around. Andrea talked with Cirie that she thought Kirby had an idol and since he did so well in the challenge, he should be the target. Brenda, talking to Cirie, realized that Andrea had gotten to her head, so she knew she had to get Kirby, Abe, and Nemo all on the same page so she could win Cirie over. Brenda told Cirie that she, Nemo, Kirby, and Abe wanted to split the votes 3 on Andrea and 2 on Dylan. Cirie didn’t want to go back on her word to Andrea, but knew that siding with Brenda was a smarter move for her game. At tribal council, Cirie decided to stick with Brenda, but was told she could be in the 2 that vote for Dylan. Before the votes were read, Andrea stood to play her idol, ensuring that she be here another day. Fearful that he should receive votes, Kirby stood up and played one of his idols on Abe. This caused Andrea and Dylan to chuckle, but to their surprise, Kirby whipped out another idol and used it on himself. This shocked Andrea, and Dylan knew that this had sealed the deal. The votes came in, as Nemo, Abe, and Brenda voted for Andrea, which didn’t count, and Andrea and Dylan voted for Kirby, which didn’t count. It was down to Cirie and Kirby, who voted for Dylan, ending his Survivor journey for good. Dylan was proud he had gone this far, and only received 2 votes the entire time, but wished he could stay and play for him and Alexis.
