PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: After Michael’s blindside, Kelley and Jaclyn were mad at Malcolm and Aubry for flipping. “How many times is Aubry going to do this shady thing?” Kelley asked Jaclyn. At this point, Kelley knew she and Aubry probably wouldn’t work together. Malcolm, on the other hand, felt fooled by the Villains, and wanted Aubry and he to regain their bond with Kelley. Aubry, too, said it was a lost cause. However, Aubry felt betrayed by the villains, and felt lost without anyone on her side. Kass, Jessica, Angelina, and Natalie were excited to see all of these alliances crumbling. “As long as we all stay together,” Natalie said, “we can take them out one by one.” At the immunity challenge, it was revealed that the first person eliminated would automatically be going home. Kelley and Jessica felt confident, knowing they had won the most immunities. The challenge was balancing a ball on a disk, while only being able to use one foot on the peg. If the other foot came down or their ball dropped, they’d be out. The contestants took their places, and everyone seemed sturdy right away. Kass began to wiggle, and before going down, Kass decided to start yelling, which caught the attention of Jessica, causing her to subconsciously put her foot down as Kass’ ball fell. Jessica was so mad that she lost her focus, and soon found out that her foot his the ground before Kass’ ball fell, so Jessica was automatically eliminated. This caused a chain of Kelley, Angelina, Jaclyn, and Natalie dropping, leaving Malcolm and Aubry to duke it out. Jessica was heartbroken, saying “I fought so hard to be here in the merge, and now one little mistake has sent me packing. I am devastated.” Jessica left, as Aubry and Malcolm stood still on their platforms. Aubry knew she needed it, not knowing if she could trust the Villains or not. Malcolm, on the other hand, wanted to secure his safety, knowing Michael and Sabrina had both gone home for being challenge threats. Aubry struggled and dropped, mad at herself, but proud of Malcolm. Malcolm was happy and knew it was time to make a move to keep all the Heroes safe. Malcolm told Aubry that he was going to try talking to Kelley. Kelley knew that the Heroes had to stick together, but didn’t know who the Villains would vote for, and who she should play the idol for if she needed to. She decided not to tell anyone about the idol in case. Aubry and Kelley made up, agreeing to vote with each other if it meant keeping all the Heroes safe. The Villains knew they now only had three votes since Jessica got eliminated, and needed to come up with a plan for the Heroes to split their votes. The Villains decided to send Angelina to Aubry and Natalie to Kelley to tell them that they were voting for one another. Angelina told Aubry that Kelley was gunning for her and had approached the Villains about it. Aubry didn’t know whether to believe Angelina or not, but also didn’t trust Kelley in the slightest. Natalie had told Kelley that it was Aubry who convinced Natalie to flip on the Heroes in the first place, and that she wanted to vote Aubry out next and work with her and Jaclyn to the end. Kelley was now rethinking her plan of voting for a villain, and decided to talk to Jaclyn, telling her that Aubry was planning on blindsiding them. Aubry went to Malcolm and said that she really couldn’t trust Kelley. Malcolm was frustrated and didn’t want to put up with the feud between Aubry and Kelley anymore, so he just committed to finally settling it and voting for Kelley. The Villains’ plan was falling into place, as Aubry and Kelley were targeting each other. At tribal council, Kelley said that it was becoming tiring seeing the Heroes lose time and time again, but at this point, the lines had blurred, and she needed to start looking out for herself. Kass said that she hoped the Villains would be able to overcome losing Jessica in the challenge. When the votes were tallied, Kass prepared to play her idol on herself to make sure she wasn’t the one going home, but then Kelley stood up. “I want to ensure I’m the one who wins this hurdle,” she said, playing her idol on herself. Aubry then popped up, “two can play at that game.” Aubry played her idol, shocking Kelley and even Malcolm, who didn’t know she had an idol. Kass chuckled, knowing the plan to split the Heroes worked, and that she didn’t need to play her idol. When the votes were revealed, Kelley received two votes and Aubry received two votes, none of which counted. Both of them expected to see their names, but were shocked when Jaclyn received the next three votes, sending her home. Kelley and Aubry realized that they had wasted their idols, and if they had stuck to the plan of voting for a Villain, they’d all be safe. Jaclyn was devastated, wishing she hadn’t left everything in her friend Kelley’s hands. Now, Kelley and Aubry were out of idols, and Kass was the only one with one, as the Villains had three people and the Heroes had three people. The game was heating up even more.
