PREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The 18 remaining contestants got to the challenge beach to learn of a twist. They would be competing in a sudden death challenge, and one person from each tribe would be eliminated immediately. Marvel and DC had to each elect a representative to do a rock-paper-scissors to determine whether or not they’d do a puzzle or agility challenge. Marvel chose T’Challa, while DC chose Diana. Diana won the R-P-S and chose the puzzle. Marvel would do agility. Because they were representatives, T’Challa and Diana did not have to compete. Marvel was up first, and the agility challenge was running across balance beams, delivering water from a river to a larger bucket. The first buckets to drop were Steve’s, Peter’s, Logan’s, Tony’s, and Wade’s. It was down to the women and Loki. Natasha and Wanda stayed at pace, while Loki tried to speed up, but one trip sent Loki down, allowing the women to pass through. Loki had been automatically eliminated from the game. Next was DC, who had to compete in a puzzle, sliding pieces to make a giant logo. Diana knew she had picked it well for her group, and it proved true because Bruce, Barry, Victor, and Clark were the first ones done. Only Aquaman himself, Arthur Curry, was struggling. It was down to the baddies, Selina, Joker, and Harley, and Aquaman. Joker knew he didn’t want to be eliminated with an idol in his pocket, and was able to finish. Harley finished, leaving Selina vs. Arthur. Selina was able to finish, sending Arthur packing, shocking Diana, who lost an ally. Back at camp, the teams found out they’d have to immediately go to tribal council, all confused. Both teams got to tribal and found out they’d do an immediate immunity challenge, and each eliminated another player. Marvel was first, and they had to answer questions about each other. Wanda won, knowing the most about her fellow competitors. They had five minutes to discuss strategy. Logan knew that he was on the outs and wanted to convince the tribe that they would not succeed with two leaders butting heads. Tony said that it was tough being on a tribe with Steve, having not talked for years. Steve said it was equally difficult, but the Avengers needed to stay together. Wade argued that they needed him and Logan as numbers and said that if he had to play his idol on him or Logan, he would. This scared the hell out of Tony, not knowing if he was telling the truth or not, and Tony looked at Peter, while Cap looked at T’Challa. It looked like Wade and Logan’s plan was working. Natasha and Wanda looked at each other, not knowing which way to go, and which side to take. At the voting, the split vote worked, with Cap, Natasha, and T’Challa voting for Tony, and Tony, Wanda, and Peter voting for Steve. This left Wade and Logan, who thought Cap was a bigger threat, sending home Cap in a 5-3 vote. Steve was upset, and the entire Avengers knew they had been played by Wade and Logan. Logan knew he had found a crack, and the tribe was split. DC was next, and it was shown that not many of the Justice League actually knew each other, and Harley shockingly won the challenge. The Justice League felt fine, knowing they could boot Joker. But Joker pulled out his idol, showing it to everyone and telling them that he was playing it, and to vote out Catwoman. The Justice League didn’t want to gamble. When the votes were about to be read, Joker held on to his idol, infuriating Bruce. Selina still voted for the Joker, but the rest of the votes all went to Selina, sending her packing, and leaving the Justice League in tact.
