SURVIVOR: PRE-MERGERS Finale Part 4 (Reunion Show)

Jun 13, 2018 by SurvivorGames
imagePREVIOUSLY ON SURVIVOR: The jury got to speak to Alexis and Morgan. Matt started by congratulating both contestants. Matt then said that he and Alexis never clicked, and asked Alexis why she didn’t decide to make a move till the very end. Alexis said that when the tribes swapped, she had to fight from the bottom and when she finally made the merge, she had to make sure to lay low and let the big dogs take each other out. Gina was next and asked Morgan what else she did besides winning immunities, and Morgan said that she thinks the immunity wins were enough to prove she was a force to beat. Gina asked what strategic moves she made, and Morgan said siding with Brian was a big strategic move she made. Alan was next and asked why Morgan was so wishy washy with her alliance when Alexis stayed true to hers. Morgan said she knew she was on the bottom of her alliance and didn’t want to leave fate up to others. That’s why she decided to flip on her alliance to vote out Gonzalez. Alan said it didn’t make sense and that it just made her seem more wishy washy, whereas Alexis seemed to be loyal till the end. Gonzalez asked what Alexis did to garner her the win. Alexis said she knew she wasn’t going to be the most strategic so she needed to align herself with big targets like Gonzalez and Ali, knowing she could excel on the social game. Gonzalez then told Morgan that flipping on them was utterly personal, because she would’ve been going home no matter what, and that Morgan’s vote was simply to spite her. Morgan said she had no ill feelings for her fellow Ghost Island teammate and felt like Gonzalez was the biggest threat out there. Peter was next and told the jury that Morgan winning four immunity challenges was something to applaud, and that he would try to get her the win. Brian was next and thanked Morgan for working with him, but wondered why she wouldn’t let him know he was going home. Morgan said that she couldn’t let herself ruin Brian’s dream like that, and figured voting for Alexis was her way of saying that she respected him. Brian said that it would’ve hurt less to know he was going home instead. Brice was next and asked Alexis how she improved on her first game in Cagayan. Alexis said that she made sure to know where she was the entire time, and know when she needed to fight and when she needed to sit back. She realized that she didn’t need to make a move until the end, and knew Ali was the better strategist and that she needed to get rid of her at 3. Making a deal with Morgan was a move that came late, but a move that solidified her spot in the end and a spot next to the easier person to beat. Ramona asked Alexis whose idea it was to blindside her at final five when she saved herself with the idol. Alexis said it was a joint effort between her and Ali, and that it was because she was so liked by the jury. Ramona asked why Morgan jumped ship so easily after booting Brian. Morgan said that she wanted to finish the game the way she started with the girls she had worked with from the beginning. Ali was last and said she was a bit hurt by Alexis, but that her move was so admirable, because it really showed that she wasn’t just a floater. She wanted each finalist to say why they shouldn’t just win the season, but a Pre-Merger season. Morgan started by saying that her season, she was a challenge force and was eliminated third, not getting to prove how competitive she was. This season, she got to show how tough she was and make lots of friends. Alexis said that she got blindsided because of a tribe swap in Cagayan and didn’t want the same to happen to her. When she was on the bottom of the Bradley vote, she knew she had to make a change, and that’s when she fought hard in immunities to make sure her team didn’t go to tribal. Once they made the merge, she knew she had to make strong alliances, and she had one with Ali and Gonzalez that lasted the whole game.

In the end, the voting turned out like this:

Matt- Morgan
Gina- Alexis
Alan- Alexis
Gonzalez- Alexis
Peter- Morgan

Ali- Alexis

And the winner of SURVIVOR: PRE-MERGERS is… ALEXIS MAXWELL!

NEXT SEASON PREVIEW: Some of the best seasons we’ve done haven’t involved Survivor players at all. Sure, there have been plenty of “Survivor Superheroes” in Boston Rob, Parvati, and Rupert…but what about the real supers? That’s right. We’re taking 10 of Marvel’s best vs. 10 of DC’s best for the Survivor brawl of the century. It’s SURVIVOR: MARVEL VS. DC!
