‘Still Learning’ coolKat - This was too generic for my liking. I think the worst part was the production, it sounds as if it was just ripped from a popular Ed Sheeran song and re-used. The lyrics were okay. They were relatable in some parts. but in other parts I couldn’t relate to the song at all. Like when she mentioned having a security team. I wouldn't listen to this again.
‘Someone to You’ humanwebjet1 - There’s a specific type of pop rock music I can’t stand that this song is a part of. It has such a cheesy and manufactured sounding production that it’s hard for me to relate with it in any way. “Best Days of our Lives” by American Authors and some of the new OneRepublic songs also fit into this category. I couldn’t listen to this again if I had to.
‘ZOMBIE’ Maxi1234 - I forgive you for submitting a song based on a TV show character instead of a movie character, since I like this. My biggest criticism is that I wish she enunciated better because it’s hard to tell what she’s singing at some points. Overall, it's got a great hook and the type of rocker sound that I can’t get enough of.
‘Flowers’ Cullenhi - There’s something about this song that’s so uninteresting. It might be because I’ve already heard it a few times or that it’s pretty much just “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars: Which is a song I’ve always found insufferable. This track is supposed to be empowering but just comes off as depressing.
‘Blood’ Kindred7 - This was a great choice! It was fun to listen to because of how intense the song is and how much he gets into character. This would be a great song to have on at the gym or just if you need to hype yourself up. You could have easily chosen Fight Club for your movie because of the music video so I’m glad you went in a less obvious direction.
‘Sad Machine’ Thnksfrthmmrs - I respect you for taking a risk because this definitely isn’t for everybody. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for me but I rather have a song that is nothing like anything I’ve heard than to have something super generic.
‘Diamonds & Dancefloors’ Jre777 - Speaking of generic... In all seriousness, I didn’t hate this but it doesn’t stand out much from the pack.
‘I Get What I Want’ oswordo3 - There’s something so familiar about the production. Part of it reminds me of Nice to Meet Ya by Meghan Trainor but it also reminds me of a TV show theme song. I think it might be the one for Gossip Girl. Other than that, this was alright. It wasn’t that creative because there’s already a song in High School Musical called “I Want It All”.
