Coincidentally, this was my top two last challenge so nice work on your consistency. My winner for this challenge is........ Thnksfrthmmrs . Congratulations! You took a risk on this challenge by sending a six minute long song but it paid off because of how much I liked it. Your other choice was solid as well, since it gave me a feeling of “ecstacy”. This is your third challenge win making you the second contestant in my competition to achieve three wins! I’m impressed by both of you and hope you continue to bring your best!

Now onto the bad news. This means my bottom is Jre777 and humanwebjet1 . Humanwebjet1 , you started off this competition very strongly, even winning a challenge with your submission of “Birthday Blues”. However, in the last four tasks you have only submitted one song that I really liked. Jre777 you shined during the country round but have unfortunately been unable to recapture that success. Humanwebjet1 , I have decided to give you another chance, meaning it’s the end of the road for Jre777 . I’m sorry, you made far in my competition reaching the halfway point however your journey in my contest ends today. Thank you for your participation and feel free to return in a future season!

“Jealousy, jealousy” Kindred7 - I actually changed the emotion from “jealousy” to “envy” because I knew if I kept the word " jealousy” then everyone would submit this song. It ended up happening anyways, but I’m not mad about it. This song is relatable for anybody in the age of social media and it’s interesting to hear that somebody as successful as her feels the same way.
“You Should Probably Leave” Thnksfrthmmrs - I like that you chose a song that fit the “ecstasy” emotion but wasn’t too obvious of a choice. The emotion was most portrayed most through the lyric ‘Sun on your skin, 6AM/And I have been watchin’ you sleep'. It’s my favorite part of the song and shows that they were unable to resist temptation and spent the whole night together. The alliteration really helps the line sound great.
“Nosebleeds” Maxi1234 - At first I thought this was just “ok”, but the more I listen to it, the more I appreciate it. I remember listening to their song Reflections back in high school and they’ve definitely matured a lot in their sound since then.
“Wish I Had An Angel'' humanwebjet1 - This song for sure fits the “unhinged” emotion, but I think it was too unhinged to the point where I couldn’t get into it. A song submitted by this band ended up being one of my favorite tracks from last season, however this one did not do it for me.
“Teddy Bear” coolKat - My favorite part of this track was how unique it is, I can’t say I’ve ever heard a song with this concept before. However my biggest critique was the “la la la” part, it didn’t end up adding anything to the song and was just filler. I would rather hear more about the crazy ex-boyfriend situation.
“Echo” Kindred7 - This was a perfect choice for the theme, it does a great job of explaining what it feels like to be alone. Not only did I like the lyrics but I also appreciated the build up to the bridge and the final chorus.
“Good In Goodbye” Jre777 - This wasn’t my least favorite but I didn’t like it that much either. The production is generic and the lyrics are fairly cheesy. It’s full of puns and wordplay that reminds me of stuff you’d see on motivational posters. Plus, the chorus was repeated too many times. However it does fit well with the emotion you chose.
“Dimension” Maxi1234 - This was a catchy choice and probably one of my favorite submissions of yours in the contest so far. My biggest critique is that I didn’t like her vocals. I know whisper-singing has been trendy for female singers ever since Billie Eilish blew up but it’s never been something I’ve cared for.
“Numb/Encore” humanwebjet1 - I was excited for this but I ended up being underwhelmed. Most of the time, I was just waiting for Linkin Park to come in as I didn’t find Jay-Z’s part interesting. It mostly consisted of him bragging which is my pet peeve in rap music. This mashup also didn’t incorporate the bridge of Numb which is my favorite part of the song.
“God Went North” Thnksfrthmmrs - I can see why this is your favorite song ever, it’s so intense and beautiful at the same time. I usually don’t like when guys sing in falsetto but in this instance it gave me chills. I respected how vulnerable this singer was and how poetic the lyrics are with him comparing himself to uprooted flowers.
“How could you do this to me?” coolKat - I’ve heard other rock songs by Maggie Lindemann and I enjoyed them a lot but this just sounds like a worse version of them. Plus, both of their voices got on my nerves because of how high-pitched they were, especially the man’s.
“Hello” Jre777 - It’s hard for me to judge a song after I’ve heard it so many times. I can recognize this is a good song, but I don’t feel anything listening to it.
