There was a new rule this round where you had to play an actual video showing and not just the link.
With that, I’m sorry Austin but you were auto eliminated for never posting the actual video.
Xanny was also auto eliminated for not submitting this round.
Now onto the rankings.
This week James/ j2999 joined again and will remain as a permanent judge the rest of the game. My close friend Jon/ gominai also was a judge this round. Gena did not submit in time but I can post her rankings when they’re submitted for anyone interested.
cocovanderbilt - 001. Annalisa - ‘Il Mondo Prima Di Te’ : 7.8
Jess - Her voice sounds like Dua Lips with a Lana vibe. I did save this song for my own library. 9/10
James - This is a pleasant song. It’s calm, but like a sweet listen as a whole. Enjoyed it. It being a Sanremo song reduces perhaps originality slightly, but still a good listen.

Jon - So good. The heartbreak is always a good choice and the song is beautiful. I loved it. But, where is the 50% English? 6.5/10
Jess - This was 2 languages even if not English, and I did enjoy it. It has a good beat. 8/10
James - I’ve never heard Algerian music before, but this was a good start for it. It was quite smooth, nothing too out there, but still made for a solid listen. I did enjoy. Song - 7, Originality - 1. Total - 8/10
Jon - Very good. I love listening to music form other cultures so different. That melody, that beauty… transmits positivity while the lyrics speak of heartbreak. very well. But, where is the 50% English? 7/10
Jess - this song was super catchy. I had never heard it and immediately added to my Apple Music. 8/10
James - I’ve heard a couple songs by this group, but didn’t really get into them. And this was the same. Objectively though, I can see the appeal for a bit of a groovy song here, that satisfies a vibe. Just yeah it’s not my vibe. The rap part was stronger. Song - 5.75, Originality - 0.5. Jess - I normally love Kali and love to vibe out to her music. This wasn’t my fav but did fit the theme 7/10
James - This is interesting. Similar to the previous song in some ways, it has a decent groove to it. Though, unlike the other, although this isn’t necessarily what I’d listen to, I am getting decent enjoyment from this listen, it’s solid. Song - 7, Originality - 0.5. Total - 7.5/10
Jon - I really did not like this song. So bad. On the other side, I liked the message and u understood the theme too. 7/10
Jess - I honestly have never heard this song but listened multiple times after you posted I do enjoy. 8.5/10
James - Bangerrrrr. A song I am a fan of, very familiar with. It’s a strong song, the entire thing just hits well. There is a lot going on in the song, different singing styles, rap, etc. I mean, makes sense given there’s like 98789308529748708934820893r features BUT anyway it does hit well. James - Interesting that this is her bigger song, especially between the two that were sent. Because I do prefer the other. The music to this one, and when effects are put on her voice too, do work well though. I just think her vibe was better in the other. But it’s decent anyway. Song - 6, Originality - 0.25. Jess - a eurovision classic tbh. This always gets in my head after hearing it again. 8/10
James - I was fully expecting Eurovision to make an appearance, and, well, here we are. This was a strong send by Spain though. She delivers this very well, her voice is great. Song - 7.5. Originality - 0.25. Total - 7.75 —> Rounded up to 8/10
Jon - I do not like Eurovision, but Ruth Lorenzo is a real A R T I S T. She is an example. Iconic. 9/10
Jess - I really love Anitta and I love this song. It makes you wanna dance. 9/10
James - Have heard this a couple times before, it is a good song. The production in particular is what makes it a good listen, but yeah the entire thing works together well really. Song - 7.75. Originality - 0.25. Total - 8/10
Jon - Very good mix of artist. Que viva el reggaetón. 8/10
Jess - J Balvin is in my top 5 fav artists/concerts and this song is one I used to always listen to and have memorized. It’s catchy, a good beat, and ofc makes you wanna move a little or just enjoy yourself. 9/10
James - A solid vibe to this. Definitely a J Balvin song. There’s stronger songs by him, but it still is very good. Smooth, pleasant, chill, yeah all that. Song - 8.25. Originality - 0. Total - 8.25 —> Rounded up to 8.5/10

James - I’ve never heard the Japanese version of this, I do also respect the choice for not one of Blackpink’s not most obvious songs. I do enjoy Blackpink, and this was no different. The music and effects they throw in always hit well, and they sound talented always too. Song - 8.25. Originality - 0.25. Total - 8.5/10
