⭐️ Original All Stars Overview ⭐️

Jul 25, 2020 by bigben1996
Previous Overview: https://tengaged.com/blog/bigben1996/9200394/india-overview

Welcome to Survivor Philippines – All Stars!  This was the sixth season of the BigBen Survivor series and is also known as the original All Stars.  Eighteen of the greatest players to play in the series thus far make their return for another shot at the title.  The tribes this season were divided snake draft style between two other respected players on the site between Wyatt ( aiwfwyattroh) and last season is sixth placer ( Luckybucket/#Dryerfish).  I am not completely sure why I divided tribes this way?  Probably because of a few “Brovivors” on the cast so trying to divide it up fairly.

Anyways, to the current “all stars” in the third generation you are in for a treat as you get to learn about your roots.  The winner of the snake draft would decide the twist for next season.  Also, Luckybucket did the equivalent of losing the flint when not recording the podcast when it was his one job!

Quick Note
----------------
Gaiaphagee was #Copenhagen from Survivor Nepal who received 9th place.
YoundAndReckless was #ItsOfficial from Survivor Jordan who received 4th place.

Please keep in mind only two people could be on the same starting tribe from their original season. Some might of went higher/lower if that rule was not in place.  Anyways, we tried to balance it to that point in time where’d we limit potential premades.

PreMerge
-----------
Alright, so the premerge did feature one swap but started in the three tribe format and eventually went down to two tribes. Regardless, will cover everything and even enlighten some of the comical moments like #FlagGate

https://i.imgur.com/3ogSVjR.gif
https://i.imgur.com/fORnE4T.gif

Final 18 – Ben’s Brigade and Wyatt’s Warriors win immunity!  This episode arguably had the most confessionals of the entire season.  Prior to tribal being posted… Cole and Joe both exposed Brandan for pregaming to hard and was essentially caught red handed.  Also, James was caught in the crossfire for the sole fact he was arguably Brandan’s closest ally on the entire cast.  The vote came down between Cole, James, and Joe.  The majority alliance was between AJ, Cole, Connor, and Stoner with James and Joe on the outs.  However, Stoner really wanted to push a Cole boot for not liking him, but Connor kept him in check.  Connor did not trust AJ.  Cole did not trust James.  James was everywhere.  In the end, the fractured majority alliance of four decided plus Joe decided to go for James for tribe unity.  It went against Stoner’s wishes, but Joe dodged a bullet here despite his messiness.  James voted for Cole in hopes he’d be Tina’d or was thinking Stoner would help him out here.

Final 17 – Nathan’s Notorious and Wyatt’s Warriors win immunity! Back at the Ben’s Brigade camp the core three of Eric, Juice, and Newz looked to bring in Erik to a four-person majority alliance.  Erik wanted Newz gone thinking he was selfish and viewed as Eric as a threat to his game despite now accepting to be in alliance with him.  Nick seemed to be a floater on his tribe but would go with the numbers or be an easy boot the next tribal.  The Juice and Newz connection came together due to their mutual ally in Rhys (outside friend & Juice’s final two in Iceland).  Scott was a wildcard despite the fact he dominated in the challenges many years ago.  In the end, Erik bit his tongue and voted out Scott in a 5-1 vote with Newz receiving Scott’s vote.  This round for Erik was that he was hopeful Juice as a potential swing if they went back to tribal would flip on the Newz and Eric dynamic or was just planning to survive to the swap.  I think Scott could have done more here and maybe force a tie with Erik and Nick but sometimes if you have the backstory of a flop you stay a flop.  Also, Brandan and Joe continuing to reach out to other tribes to see what is going on continues to annoy the cast for overplaying (RIP).

Final 16 – Ben’s Brigade and Nathan’s Notorious wins immunity! Pretty instantaneously the vote was either going to be Brandan or Mike.  Brandan was an option for the fact that he had been pregaming extremely hard, talking to other tribes to influence and for supposedly creating fake fights.  Mike on the other hand at this stage had not been active the first few days and could be considered a bit greasy based on his gameplay in Jordan.  The majority alliance looked to be the “Brits” with Shawn and Rhys with extension to Rhys’s Iceland buddy FireDragon and Rich who was a levelheaded player.  In the end, Shawn wanted revenge on Brandan for Nepal and the other four agreed Brandan had been playing way too hard and way too quick in a game of patience.  Brandan tried to flip the tables on Mike by leaking his convos to FireDragon but it went ineffective.  Brandan left 5-1 with him voting Mike and supposedly left in a #Blindside as in the early in the day he had the votes but that shifted when everyone found out he was talking to other tribes and became a united decision.

Final 15 – Ben’s Brigade and Wyatt’s Warriors win immunity!  With a swap looking an imminent.  The tribe consensus was easily looking to go after Joe.  However, AJ and Cole both had concerns for Stoner and Stoner had concerns for AJ as he sold him out to Joe.  It seemed like a very fractured group of individuals with Cole and Connor being the lynch pins to the tribe.  In the end, Joe had found the Nathan’s Notorious idol and negated four votes cast against him and realizing that the tribe was likely turning on Stoner next decided to go for AJ.  I am not completely sure if Stoner told Joe to vote AJ to save his own skin or lie to Joe saying he would vote with him despite knowing Joe had the majority of the votes.  It sucked to see AJ idoled out with one vote and this episode really gave me a lot better perspective of how Cole was playing smartly.  Connor is a social god this episode yet again!  Joe becomes a maverick instantaneously based on having the sole vote to blindside someone.

Tribe Swap

Ben's Brigade *Blue Buffs*

Cole (Cole91)
Connor (cjuddy)
FireDragon (AlaskanFireDragon)
Juice (JuiceBxx)
Mike (Michael31)

Wyatt's Warriors *Gold Buffs*

Eric (awwsum11)
Erik (ItsOfficial)
Joe (jharrin7887)
Newz (OldNewz)
Nick (Esquiff)
Rhys (AndThenThereWasOne)
Stoner (Gaiaphagee)

Swap Dynamics - NuBrigade looks interesting with Cole/Connor, FireDragon/Rich, Mike/Rich, Juice/Shawn with the potential of bringing in Cole and Connor.  There is a lot of relationships going on NuBrigade now.  On NuWarriors you have Eric/Newz/Rhys vs Erik/Nick/Gai with Joe in the middle.  Very tricky swap though to predict.

Final 14 – Joe quits due to #FlagGate   I do not need to discuss this controversy but let us just say that many individuals were not happy with the results of Ben’s Brigade winning immunity based on the judgement of the flags and even Flopman13 didn’t like the results which says something.  The links unfortunately have expired which is kind of sad cause I would love tengaged to describe the differences between the flags.  Anyways, Joe becomes the second quit of the series and therefore the flag challenge for at the least the premerge stage of the game goes retired.  I do not even think Joe was at too big a risk to go home so RIP unless the tribe wanted to do a simple vote.  Flag challenges are overrated after reading this back with regards to the tribe game.

Final 13 – Wyatt’s Warriors win immunity!  With four original Wyatt Warriors on the tribe which include FireDragon, Mike, Rich, and Shawn.  The power went into their hands and the vote immediately came down between voting Cole or Juice.  Cole their seemed to be a lot of personal vendettas and/or lack of trust with him.  Juice being the only Ben’s Brigade there was fear he would just flip back to his tribe come a potential merge.  FireDragon and Rich were hardcore pushing for Cole and Mike thinking he had some power also agreed to do Cole.  Shawn probably preferred Cole as well due to Rhys’s relationship with Juice and Connor just had to go along with it.  In the end, Cole died off at this point and self-voted 7-0 probably for outside matters.  NuWarriors seem to have been a lot more interesting as the Erik vs. Newz/Rhys war begins.  Also, FireDragon’s minimal winner’s edit begins to shine here him being very vocal in exterminating Cole.

Final 12 – Wyatt’s Warriors win immunity! Immediately, the spotlight goes onto Connor one of two remaining Nathan Notorious members left in the game and Juice the lone original Brigade member on the tribe.  You would think the Warriors would stick strong through this vote and one vote one of them without any controversy.  The answer is “NO” with FireDragon wanting to send Michael out with Juice and hoping that potentially Connor and Rich make the jump. Ultimately, the Mike vote didn’t go through, but he still received two votes from FireDragon for the lols and Juice because it seemed like a last-ditch thing to save himself.  Rich came to the realization the vote would either tie or by flipping he knew that Juice was never voting with them at the merge.  The Mike & Shawn relationship looks very apparent at this stage of the game.  FireDragon and Mike relationship is pretty funny as well judging Mike refuses to sheep FireDragon and I died of laughter reading his confessionals back.  Also, I am pretty sure an idol or two was found at this stage of the game looking ahead to events of the future.  Merge is next but rest in peace Juice forever the first white level legend ☹

Merge
-------
Final 11 – Stoner wins immunity!  Arguably, the hardest vote of the entire merge with a ton of relationships on the board so I will make it short and sweet.  One alliance featured, Erik, FireDragon, Nick, Rich, and Stoner vs. Mike, Newz, Rhys, Shawn.  While Connor and Eric in the middle.  You would think that Connor would not be the target for either side.  Guess again!  It seemed the Chris side of things wanted Connor gone for whatever reason which is a god-awful move and for the fact Connor trusted Stoner.  It might have to do with the fact Chris was close to Newz, Rhys and Shawn.  Also, Mike, Newz, and Rhys had an idol at this stage, so the ball was in their court.  Anyways, the Newz & Rhys coalition wanted to target Erik because he was the biggest activist in wanting Newz & Rhys out while the other side wanted Connor despite flirting a Newz/Rhys boot this round.  In the end, the Stoner side went for Connor (dumbly) and Rich knowing where the votes were flipped with FireDragon in a 7-4 vote.  Personally, I think Stoner believed Newz, Shawn, and Rhys would vote Connor but that was not the case causing World War I.  Eric also voted Connor.

Final 10 – Rhys wins immunity!  This is where the #BroviviorExposeParty happens where Stoner after being betrayed last round decides to leak the Brovivor alliance of Newz, Rhys, and Shawn while failing to mention he was also apart of that group to avoid having the tides turned against him. Also, the formation of arguably the worst alliance name ever “The Dudevivors” was formed between Stoner, Rich, AFD, and Nick.  Connor finds themselves in a predicament on where to swing towards.  Do they play with the alphas in Newz/Rhys or play with the messy cult of Stoner?  Newz had to get his wisdom teeth out the next day so he voted Rich probably assuming his alliance would likely do that.  However, FireDragon in his limited gameplay the entire season did have his game winning quote which is arguably one of the best that I have seen.

FireDragon - “Admiral Assholefuckdick here reporting for duty. Under orders from general gaiaphage the great I have decided to vote shawn out. We have formed a rebellious group called the dudevivors to carry out this mission.”

This round really came down to “Connor’s decision” judging he just got burned.  At tribal council, Eric was targeted by the other three of Mike, Rhys, and Shawn while Newz voted for Rich.  The Stoner cult plus Connor voted Shawn.  The reason Shawn was targeted as people did not feel game ties to him from the other side as much or was least likely to have an idol.  This left the trio of Mike, Newz, and Rhys on the outs.  I’m pretty sure Connor had some say who was going home based on his middle position but at the same time this might’ve been a premature move as he was probably still on the bottom on a somewhat secure five with him as the sixth.  Also, there was always the potential of the 5-4-1.  Shawn in the words of Rich was a “double side playing weasel” which is cringe.

Final 9 – Stoner wins immunity!  The game looks to have turned into a battle of trios in the eyes of the future winner.  Connor, FireDragon, Rich vs. Mike, Newz, Rhys vs. Eric, Nick, Stoner.  FireDragon wants to send Mike out now so he can flip on Stoner the next round according to his confessional.  Connor wants to get Nick out with FireDragon wanting Mike out.  Stoner lies to Connor saying the vote was between him and Rhys which was an obvious lie with FireDragon and Rich as the actual swings which means they were leaning towards voting Mike.  On a side note, Newz and Rhys were on the attack with Stoner pointing out all his final two’s and fake idol nonsense when they know they have the power to idol someone out.  However, in an attempt to end the “Dudevivors” Mike reveals to Connor and Rhys he has an idol which speaks amazingly for Connor as he tells the minority the vote is Mike to get out his target in Nick.  Rhys now knows where all the idols are in the game as Mike claims Rhys is the only one, he can trust after Newz’s rogue vote Rich. In the end, Mike negates “SIX” votes and Connor voted Mike to keep up a charade and idol out Nick in the first of three idol plays in a row to come.  Fascinating tribal nonetheless looking back and a lot better on the rewatch to get Nick out who was not making the same strong impressions as he was in Iceland and took a more passive stance.

Final 8 – Newz wins immunity!  The talk of the town is that Connor and Rich are indeed the swing votes yet again.  They do not like being as individual’s under Stoner’s thumb and plan to flip him on him at final seven.  However, with Mike just playing an idol and the tandem of Newz/Rhys in the game it seems as if they will stick to their guns.  The question is will they go for Mike again where it is very slim possibility, he has an idol or will they go for Rhys arguably the best player in the alliance.  Newz and Rhys each have an idol and the intent is for Rhys to play his but will Newz play his for Mike or gamble his odds at the final seven in hopes all three of them make it.  Their target is Stoner because they are done with his blasphemy which is probably the wrong move looking back (maybe get an AFD or Eric out).  There is also concern from Connor and Rich that FireDragon is way too close to Stoner so that is fueling the new partnership to kill Stoner next.  At tribal council, Rhys plays his idol and negates five votes and Newz holds onto his idol.  Mike was brought into the fold by Connor the vote was Rhys and was promising final three to him which was likely genuine.  Mike, Newz, and Rhys all decided to end the tyrant Stoner for successful idol play #2.  The biggest head scratcher is they really should have voted Mike again as I do not think Newz or Rhys would’ve used an idol for him if given the opportunity.

Final 7 – Eric wins immunity! There is a lot of courting by the majority alliance of Connor, Eric, FireDragon, and Rich to flip Mike to their side.  I do not think it made a ton of sense for them to court him other than creating false/legit promises as they could have always split the votes on him on either Newz/Rhys.  However, Mike surprisingly is out of sight which was probably yet another misjudgment by the majority as why not go for the individual who will least likely have the idol played on them.  This is where I start thinking maybe Mike is not too over his head but maybe is making the correct social in roads as he is leaning to flip either this tribal or the next one.  The vote for the minority became Connor/Rich which in hindsight probably was not the smartest leaving a straggler like FireDragon in unless Rhys thought he could flip him.  Newz must make a choice and trust his gut whether it is him or Rhys on who to play the idol on.  In the end, Newz plays the idol for himself thinking maybe his selfishness could be redeemed from India and is correct.  Newz negates four votes from the majority and the Mike, Newz, and Rhys trio vote for Connor who is forever an OG king.  On paper it looks to be 3-3 but immunity and Mike’s decision are the things to watch next round.

Final 6 – Rhys wins immunity!  At least for a good portion of the day it looks as if Mike is going to flip on Newz without regard he could find another idol as he cannot beat him or Rhys at the end.  However, I think if the AFD/Eric/Rich coalition were thinking about getting Mike to throw his vote they could 3-2-1 him.  The other side looks to be firm on Newz and are bombarding Mike to flip.  Mike is currently viewed as idiotic by the rest and looking that his only beat is FireDragon (funny enough they are the final two spoiler).  Anyways, Newz tells Mike he has an idol to ensure Mike to vote with him on the original vote which he was seemingly doing anyway and would let the vote tie at minimum to avoid the 3-2-1 possibility.  At tribal, the vote tied between Newz and Rich (3-3) and on the revote Mike flipped ending one of the three musketeers in Newz.  I’m not sure what could’ve played out differently between the Mike/Newz/Rhys dynamic other than probably giving Mike immunity at the final six to secure rocks or maybe FireDragon flips knowing Mike is coming on board next round to kill either Newz or Rhys at the final five.

Finale
--------
FireDragon wins immunity at the final five!  Based on Newz getting voted out for sixth that everyone would send the “charismatic Brit” known as Rhys home for his likability with the jury.  That seemingly looked like the plan till it became apparent Rhys was actual the swing vote between FireDragon/Rich and Eric/Mike pair.  Rhys despite knowing he was the biggest threat needed to ensure his best route of making finals.  Personally, I look back and my guess is he should have sided with FireDragon and Rich for being relatively weak in competitions while Eric and Mike were a lot stronger.  The vote came down between Eric and Rich in a nail biting 3-2 vote where Rich ended up leaving at Rhys’s hand.  Was it the smartest move for Rhys?  Probably not.  But he wanted to eliminate the power duo that started since “Day 1” together and Rich did have plenty of support on that jury where he could have taken the title this time around.  Eric staying was a mistake though for Rhys as competition wise was probably his toughest matchup.

Eric wins immunity at the final four!  Eric and Mike are deadest it’s got to be Rhys as he’s going to win the game no question about it.  FireDragon briefly considered tying it for Rhys but I’m pretty sure he didn’t want it to go to fire-making and/or rocks so that was an afterthought.  Rhys was voted out 3-1 with FireDragon receiving the one vote from Rhys.

AndThenThereWasOne
Alaskan, all of your mates are on the jury. You may have a tiny penis but you've had massive balls this entire game, so you got my vote if I leave

Mike wins final immunity!  I think Mike had been thinking for awhile to go up against FireDragon for a while as he could be viewed as someone who did not care about the game despite having friends on the jury.  Eric was viewed a lot more for his floaterish tendencies, but people could respect he gave them the time of the day and the Stoner alliance who made up a good part of the jury would reward him.  Either way, Mike was facing a hard matchup because whoever he sat next too had the Stoner jury support.  In the end, he took FireDragon which was the correct move despite losing as Eric probably was going to sweep him or KO him.  FireDragon was Mike’s best bet despite looking like a goat most of the season and after reading the confessionals he wasn’t a strategic mastermind and was a tad cocky but played a hard game, nonetheless.

Final Tribal
--------------
My perspective watching this season and reading it back.  Mike should have outright won before coming into “Final Tribal” it was still going to be a steep battle as plenty of people were either mad at him or viewed him as a goat.  Mike played a hard game but not the best of the cast and tried to position himself in a winning scenario.  FireDragon was in the correct alliances and but the effort level perceived by everyone was probably the lowest out of the individuals who made the merge.  It was a “LIVE” final tribal and either could win the title.  I think looking back at the answers done during the jury questioning that I was probably more “Team Mike” because it seemed as if FireDragon made a speech that could fit on a Twitter post lol.   However, FireDragon was more of a character and part of this season was centered around entertainment and he brought that.  Anyways, two of the Wyatt Warrior’s made the end and Wyatt got a chance to gloat about at “Final Tribal” and got to pick the twist for next season (bad season spoiler).

Jury Votes
-------------
Erik- FireDragon
Shawn - No Vote (#FlopPlayer)
Nick - FireDragon
Stoner - Mike
Connor - FireDragon
Newz - FireDragon
Rich - FireDragon
Rhys - Mike
Eric - Mike

Final Synopsis
-----------------
FireDragon is well an interesting winner.  I probably ranked him too high as there is an argument, he is the worst winner out of the six seasons thus far.  I did undervalue the fact his strong relationship with Connor and Rich though.  Newz was not a fan of Mike.  While Erik and Nick were a package deal that had FireDragon in their core alliance.  However, Mike did arguably convince probably the stronger players of the season to vote him to win so that is impressive.  Mike became the Amanda Kimmel of the series and while I think he had the killer instincts to win.  I think he did not do a good enough job shaking off the perception he was a Newz/Rhys lackey.  Regardless, it was a great season and like most “all star seasons” someone who is MOR probably ends up winning.  Cole self-voting and the Joe quit for sure hate this season.  However, the premerge looking like the votes were somewhat predictable based on the stats were quite entertaining.  I have been back and forth whether this season is better than Nepal but it is for sure close.  My answer can be found in the ranking!

DVD Cover
-------------
Stoner – FireDragon – Connor
Mike – Rhys – Newz

Disclaimer: Not going to lie having to put the winner on the cover this season really robbed some individuals of receiving a spot.  Aka either Eric or Rich (probably Eric) but this is all based on confessional count.
