Previously on Survivor Luck of the Draw...a surprise tribe swap forced the remaining castaways to switch up their game play. On the new fang tribe….Patrick/Natalia/Sydney finally found themselves in a position of power. They pulled in James...and the four agreed to stick together no matter the position they were in come merge. Meanwhile...on the Kota tribe Julissa/Danny/Tester/Slothy formed a 4 person majority...and targeted Anthony upon losing the immunity challenge. With two alliances having formed...what will happen tonight?
9 contestants remain….who will be voted out tonight?
When the Kota tribe returns from tribal...Julissa/Danny/Tester/Slothy all agree that they need to stick together all the way...and that they need to pull Jadine in...so that the 4 of them get majority. Before the camera pans out..we get a confessional from both Julissa and Tester
Julissa: “My allies stood behind me tonight...and moving forward I plan on sticking with them as long as they stay loyal to me. If we merge next...it is going to be a fucking war. And it is my job to lead my allies into battle, and to hopefully take out Sydney/Natalia as they are currently my biggest threat to winning this game.”
Tester: “So that vote went as planned. I have my idol..however I don’t plan on telling anyone still. I know my allies have my back...however this game is crazy. As soon as you reveal something like having an idol...eyes look to you. I am not ready to come out from under my shield. Thus I need to lay UTR just a little bit longer.”
ANNOUNCEMENT:
Everyone:) I can now congratulate the remaining 9 contestants for making the MERGE. We will now be merging into one tribe. Congrats! For now...I have nothing else for you guys
*Contestants return to camp to find a feast waiting for them*
Everyone is having a good time……..however the game escalates when Sydney *see’s a piece of paper, grabs it, and stuffs it in her pocket”.
While everyone is drinking wine...Sydney is sticking to the soda and pretending to be drunk so that she can go read the clue when everyone else is resting
Sydney explains “I reach into the bread basket and find a piece of paper. I now know that I need to be on top of my game. So I secretly drink soda while everyone is drinking wine and beer. This way...when they are all drunk...I can sneak out and see what this paper says.”
*30 minutes later Sydney sneaks off and reads the piece of paper. It reads “The Safety you seek is located along the creek behind the water well.
We then get a confessional from Sydney as she sneaks off to the well. “Okay so my clue is pretty clear about where this idol is. I think I know where it is. So I am going to walk down by the creek and start looking for it.”
After 10 minutes of her searching she sees a little crevice alongside a group of rocks by the side of the creek. She is able to reach her hand and...and she pulls out an idol. Just when this happens she screams omg omg omg yes! I have a second idol baby.
Just as this is happening, we get one last confessional from her. This idol is amazing! I am so thankful that I found the clue. I think I should be set to go far now. I have 2 idols...and I can now use one for my alliance of 4….however I plan on keeping the other one to keep MYSELF safe. My allies are not stupid. Me having 2 idols makes me an obvious threat...which would cause them to potentially target me in order to keep themselves safe. So for now...I will use my common idol with them...and my second one I will keep for the future to keep me safe.”
After this scene….we are shown the immunity challenge.
*DANNY WINS INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY*
Danny confessional: “I am so glad that I have safety for tonight. There are so many people who need to be taken out in this game. For now...my alliance of 5 NEEDS to stick together. I think I have Julissa/Tester/Slothy/Jadine on my side for now”
When the tribe returns to camp...the first thing we see is the alliance of 5 meet up. Julissa explains to the 5 of them that the other alliance is threatening. And that it is important for them to at least take one of the returnees out tonight. Jadine agrees that on the other tribe it was just him and the other 4. They were all super tight...and Jadine explained that he thought that Natalia was the most scary of the other 4. .
Jadine confessional
“I think the other 4 need to be taken seriously. Before our alliance of 5 turns on each other...WE at least need to take out Sydney and Natalia first. But for this vote...I seriously think that Natalia needs to go. She IS the tie that holds the others together. From my knowledge of the game… I think that Natalia/Patrick have a good relationship in real life. Thus with Natalia gone...I don’t think Patrick/Sydney will be too keen on working together”.
Slothy agreed with this...explaining that Natalia/Sydney have been getting closer and closer this whole game. And that the two of them NEED to go. He also explains that Natalia has been a little more UTR this time around...and might be planning things behind the scenes that is dangerous.
The five came to the decision that Natalia had to be the one to go.
As this was happening….James/Natalia/Sydney/Patrick were meeting to discuss the vote. Sydney explained to the others that the other 5 were all very clearly working together. Natalia agreed that if the four of them didn’t pull something off..that they would be screwed. Next James asked how they could get the majority. This is when Sydney said to all three...guys I think should all know….”I have an idol”. All three acted surprised. (Natalia and Patrick had already been told this...but had agreed to act fake surprised so that James felt Syd was telling the three of them all at the same time...for the first time. James responded wow! This is awesome. However….we still only have a limited chance because we need to play the idol correctly. This is when Sydney explained. “Guys I really think they will target me and Natalia. We are seen as a duo...so they will be tempted to target one of us first”. This was followed by a Sydney and James confessional
Sydney: “So I have two idols. I really think they will vote for Natalia. That is the vibe I get. IF I am not sure who the other 5 are voting for….I will pull out both of my idols. HOWEVER...I really think that if I want to go far in this game...That it is critical that I DON’T play a second idol.”
James: “I am so happy that Sydney has an idol. I think for the time being I need to stay loyal to the vets. HOWEVER...I need to be careful. I do not want to be their fourth wheel. I think the other 5 are close….HOWEVER I think their group of 5 really has 2 seperate groups. Thus If I worked with them later in the game I could be the swing vote. So I need to keep my options open. Next vote I really think I could make a move. But for now..the other side has to be targeted”.
The four close their debate by discussing who they are going to vote for. They agree to target the least threat of the 5...one who they will least suspect incase they have an idol.
As this was happening….we got one more confessional from Tester. “I have an idol. HOWEVER...I really don’t think I need to play it. I think that the 5 of us will vote for Natalia..who I don’t think has an idol. Thus we should be good!
