Previously….on Survivor Luck of the Draw…..two alliances went to war to gain power in the game. One alliance led by Julissa was filled by newbies. The other alliance was led by the three returnee’s. When the votes were read…..Sydney played her idol for Natalia…...and all 5 votes against Natalia were negated. In the end...Jadine was voted out...and the minority alliance leveled out the playing field. Although the vets won the battle….who will win the war?
8 players are left…..who will be voted out tonight?
When the tribe returned from tribal…...Natalia/Sydney/James/Patrick were SUPER excited. They knew that this vote had leveled out the playing field...and that they were in a decent position moving forward. The four pledged their loyalty to each other….and agreed that they would go to rocks for this next vote if they needed to. As this was happening….we got a confessional from both Sydney and James.
Sydney: “I cannot believe how epic my idol play was. I am so happy to have all three of my allies here today. My plan is to lock it in with them. HOWEVER...selfishly I NEED to keep my idol for myself. I will NOT make the FTC if I play my idol at the next tribal. I need to sit back...and let other people take the reins. If I am portrayed as a threat…..my other allies could flip on me.”
James: “I need to tread lightly moving forward with this alliance. I really like Sydney...HOWEVER she IS going to win this game if she gets to the end. THEREFORE….I need to find the right time to make a move against her. Whenever that is...I WILL strike.
As this was happening...the alliance of Julissa/Danny/Slothy/Tester were discussing what there next move was. The four pledged to go to rocks for one another...but they also discussed the potential of pulling James onto their side. Tester explained guys I really think we could get James to vote with us. He knows the three vets are close. ALSO...I think the vets think if a newbie is in the ftc that we will ONLY vote for the newbie since this is their first time playing the game. Thus James should be aware of the fact that he is on the outs. Julissa agreed to this...explaining that getting James on their side was critical. This was followed by a confessional from both Tester and Julissa
Julissa: “My alliance might be forced to go to rocks if we are unable to get James on our side. I am kind of worried about that. However...I need to stay focused and keep my eye on the prize. I think if I do that...then I will be successful in this game.”
Tester: “This might be the time when the idol needs to be played. I would much rather play my idol….than have a 4-4 tie and risk my game having to pull a rock. Thus I need to be careful...and make sure I can read how James is going to vote. IF he flips to our side...a 5-3 vote would NOT require me to play the idol. However...I don’t want to risk it”.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: JAMES WINS IMMUNITY
James confessional: “The fact that I just won immunity means I can honestly do whatever I think is best for me without fear of being voted out. If I stay with the vets...we can force rocks...and I will be immuned from picking rocks. I really think that I am in a good position. If I flip to the newbies side...this could be a way of me showing them that I want to play with them in the long term. All in all...I need to decide what I want to do.”
When the tribe returns from the challenge….Patrick/James/Natalia/Sydney meet up to discuss the vote. Patrick mentions that he thinks that Julissa is the one that holds all the power on their alliance. He explains that if they can force a tie initially….they can blow up Julissa’s game exposing the snake she is. And then hopefully Danny/Tester/Slothy are willing to flip on the revote. James explains that he really likes this plan. We then get another James confessional, as well as Patrick and Sydney
James: “I really think that this plan is the best for me. I might even let Tester/Slothy know what we are thinking about the vote...BEFORE it happens.”
Patrick: “I am really hoping that my allies have my back tonight. I really need us 4 to stick together.”
Sydney: “So I DO have the idol...HOWEVER I am really nervous about using it tonight. If I use it tonight...I can almost guarantee that James/Patrick flip on the next vote because who wants to go to the F3 with someone who has two successful idol plays. So for now...I will bring my idol and see what people say at tribal”
As this conversation was happening...Julissa/Danny/Slothy/Tester all four discussed what the best plan for them was. Julissa mentioned that she thought Sydney/Natalia were the obvious targets...and that Patrick might be a little left field. The others agreed that this might be a good option...and that this would be least expected. Tester mentioned that he would go talk to James and see what he was thinking
When Tester approached James...the two agreed that they wanted to try to stick together in the future. Tester asked James if he was already with targeting Patrick. James responded that he really felt that was a mistake...and that Sydney was the biggest threat. Tester then responded that Sydney was the most likely to have an idol...so that this would be the safest plan. James reluctantly agreed...HOWEVER he threw out the other plan to Tester as well. He said “hey man...I just wanna test the waters with something with you. I think the vets might be targetting Julissa tonight. Is that something that you guys are thinking needs to happen real soon? I just think she is a BIG threat...and is most likely to win the game at this point. Tester responded that they had thought about this...and that he would suggest it to them and then they could regroup before tribal. The two then broke up
Right before tribal...we were given a confessional from Tester
“So it looks like the other side is targeting Julissa. This is good information to know. I have a hard time targeting her soo soon. I say this because I think she is really loyal to me. Also...as much as I am starting to trust James...I don’t know if I can rely on him voting out Patrick/Natalia/Sydney this vote. Thus I am going to bring my idol to tribal...and we shall see what happens”
Tribal Council:
IF ANYONE HAS AN IDOL AND WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IT….NOW WOULD BE THE TIME TO DO SO…………………….*TESTER STANDS UP*
He says “In the spirit of saving trusted allies...I am not ready to lose Julissa tonight. I am playing this idol FOR Julissa.”
This is in fact an Immunity Idol….ANY VOTES FOR JULISSA WILL NOT COUNT
