Well... a bunch of them will be killed off in just a few moments.
The tributes are placed on respective pedestals in the center of cornucopia. This year, the cornucopia has been place on a giant circle of sand surrounded by tropical grass.
The tributes can see a volcano in the distance, and well as a few small island huts. They are surrounded by a moist forest filled with palm trees.
The counter ticks downward.
10, 9, 8...
John and Ashleigh glance at each other.
7, 6, 5...
Hans and Anna are finding each other. Then, they eye their fellow careers.
4...
Jaxine looks at the weapons and bags she can collect, then she looks at her opponents. She is confused as to what she wants to do.
3...
Ayiiia and Arturo both have insecure looks on their faces.
2...
Tee is looking protectively at some of the weaker tributes.

Nevra is looking at the scenery, not paying attention to the countdown.

The tributes begin running for supplies.
John and Ashleigh quickly find each other, grab supplies, and run off without being noticed.
Nevra is the only tribute who hasn’t left her pedestal. She has become lost in the scenery of the island.
She suddenly begins to snap back into reality when...
BOOM!
Sugar has retrieved a machete already. She just used it to slice Nevra’s head off while she wasn’t looking.
Meanwhile, Sugar’s district partner has been looking to get some kills of his own. Samuel notices that Arturo is trying to go for a bag. He grabs a sword and charged at him, stabbing him right in the chest. He succumbs to his wounds very quickly.
BOOM!
Having wiped District 11 out of the games already, the District 4 tributes meet up with each other and look for their fellow careers.
Hans and Anna have met up with each other, and decide to get their first kill in for district 5. They notice the nearest tribute to them is Alex. The run to her, and they then take her by surprise and stab her repeatedly.
BOOM!
As Alex’s body drops to the ground, Hans and Anna meet up with Samuel and Sugar.
Austino has retrieved an axe, and is eyeing Maddox. Maddox attempts to run, but Austino raises an axe, preparing to strike. However, a knife suddenly enters his skull.
BOOM!
As Austino falls to the ground, Tee suddenly shows up behind him with Eisha. He retrieves his knife and runs to Maddox, and offers an alliance. Maddox agrees, and the three of them run off. Although, Tee looks back at all of the other helpless tributes in the area. For example... Peach.
Peach is fighting with Glamour for a bag, but Glamour easily wins by grabbing the bag and smashing Peaches head with it.
BOOM!
Glamour is in shock when she hears Peaches’ cannon. She didn’t mean to kill her, but she did. Glamour tries not to think about it and runs off.
Everest then sees that Lunar is being left completely alone. He runs over to her and throws a spear he collected at her. The spear shoots right through her eye.
BOOM!
Everest collects the spear he used to kill Lunar, and then sees Fox trying to run away. Thirsty for blood, he runs over to him and throws his spear, killing him the same way he killed Lunar.
BOOM!
Everest collects his spear, and then notices that Miguel is trying to run away, looking like a mess.
He kills him the same way he killed Lunar and Fox.
BOOM!
After getting a 3 person kill streak, he joins the group of careers.
Meanwhile, Cherry has noticed Smithson collecting a couple of throwing knives. Thinking she can easily take him down seeing as she has an extra arm, she runs over to him. However, Smithson throws a knife at her in response, and it hits her right in her skull.
BOOM!
In shock that he just killed a career, Smithson runs off with his supplies.
Jaxine has been watching the action play out this whole time while collecting supplies. She is confused as to what to do, but she has collected a couple axes to use. Suddenly, a tribute bumps into her, and she immediately raises her axe in response.
She looks down to see Ayiiia scared and looking up at her. Seeing the sight of a scared child in front of her makes Jaxine freeze.
Suddenly, a knife flies into Ayiiia’s skull.
BOOM!
Jaxine looks at Ayiiia in shock. Luka then shows up right beside her.
Luka: You’re welcome.
The two of them join the career pack. Now fully complete minus a Cherry, they run off together.
-Just Friends-
John and Ashleigh have avoided contact with other tributes the entire day, and it is now nightfall. They both have decided to sleep inside a hut.
John: You think this’ll be a good place to camp for the night?
Ashleigh: Yeah... we should be safe.
John: Okay, okay... just to be safe though, I’m gonna go make sure there aren’t any other tributes here. Stay here, and call out for help if something happens. I’ll do the same.
Ashleigh: I’m pretty sure we’ll be fine, but okay! Haha...
Ashleigh lays down on the uncomfortable ground trying to sleep already as John heads off.
Footsteps can be heard, and then someone is standing in the doorway of the hut.
Ashleigh: You’re back already?
Ashleigh doesn’t realize this isn’t John. Not before it’s too late.
The figure covers her mouth and yanks her to her feet. Ashleigh suddenly screams, but John can’t hear her.
She can feel that someone is taking her to a specific place.
-The Midnight Killing-
The careers have camped out in the middle of the woods somewhere, having started a fire. They’re careers so... they’re cocky.
Well... all expect one of them are cocky.
All of the careers are asleep on the ground except for Sugar and Luka. They’re both talking as Jaxine, Samuel, Hans and Anna sleep. Everest is nowhere to be found.
Sugar: When do you think Everest will come back? It’s been a while since we heard that noise in the distance...
Luka: I have no idea. I bet he gets killed trying to find out who made it and he never comes back. That would be funny.
Luka is proven wrong however, because as he’s talking, the bushes shake, and Everest pops out, holding Ashleigh.
Everest: Look who I found!
Luka: Oh wow! I stand corrected.
Sugar: You didn’t kill her? Why didn’t you just kill her when you found her?
Everest: I wanted to prove that I DID hear something! Look who was right!
Luka: Okay, okay! How should we kill her?
Ashleigh looks completely terrified. She is trying to scream for help, but no one is close enough to hear her screams.
Well... except for one person.
Jaxine is awakened when she hears Ashleigh scream for her life. She wakes up just in time to hear Sugar’s sadistic kill suggestion.
Sugar: Ooh, let’s hold her upside down and burn her in the campfire!
Everest lights up at the idea.
Everest: Oh my god... you GENIUS!
Everest then grabs Ashleigh’s legs and flips her upside down.
Ashleigh can now call for help at full volume, but even then, no one comes to her rescue.
You would think that the other careers would be awakened, but they sleep through her screams like babies.
Ashleigh is trying to fight back, terrified, but it’s no use.
Everest carries her toward the fire... until...
All Ashleigh can feel is her skin boiling. Her face melting.
She is being burned alive. She screams in pain as the careers enjoy the whole show, Sugar jumping excitedly.
Jaxine can hear it all, pretending to be asleep. She is sickened at the thought of it... and all she can do is listen until she hears a cannon.
BOOM!
Jaxine then has an epiphany.
She needs to get out of this career pack as soon as possible. She has realized she is nothing like these animals, and that she should have never trained for or volunteered for the games.
But if she tries to leave right now, the careers could kill her.
All Jaxine can do is pretend to sleep as the careers celebrate the brutal death of Ashleigh, and then, when they aren’t paying attention, get out of their radius.
Jaxine knows it’s going to be a long night.
-Mr. Lonely-
John is investigating the area around his hut when he hears screaming in the distance.
He begins running back to the hut and calling out for Ashleigh before realizing she isn’t where she was left.
Worried, John continues to cry out for Ashleigh. He becomes even more worried after hearing a cannon.
Then... the fallen tributes are projected in the sky.
