TOP 25 FEMALE SURVIVOR INTRO SHOTS: 11

3 Emotion, Jan 31, 2018

I'm counting down the Top 25 most Iconic and memorable female intro shots in Survivor History. We have entries ranging from season 1-35 and all of them are iconic!
.
.
Just missing out on the top 10, but still a queen in her own right, we have Ciera "She voted out her mom!" Eastin. Ciera has been an advocate for the #BIGMOVEZ era of survivor and many credit her final 6 rock draw in Survivor: Blood vs. Water for changing the game, however it is Ciera's second attempt at the million that get's her a spot on this list. The intensity in her eyes says it all, this is an iconic intro shot. And it's no wonder that this Survivor Game Changer deserves her #11 spot.

in Survivor?
Character-focused edits or Strategy-focused edits?
I noticed in some sites, like Reddit for example, they seem to really favor Character-based edits and I was just curious what the consensus is here?
I personally like the 'Modern-Era' Survivor. Is it flawed? Yes, this most recent season had a very confusing edit and it really sucked because this season had tons of potential. I do think there's been a bit too much of a force on the 'BIGMOVEZ' focus, but dang... Cagayan's a great example of intense strategy and great characters.
I love great characters and I like character-driven seasons a lot. But idk, strategic seasons are really fun IF the edit is clear and it makes sense.
There really have been some amazing seasons here lately and some epic blindsides. Although I do agree that the '#BigMovez' era has taken a bit of the drama/intensity away from blindsides, like in the older seasons a single blindside was huge and shocking, these days it can sometimes feel like it takes a 'historic tribal' to achieve those same feelings like the previous seasons.
I don't know, I can understand the criticisms and I think production needs to kink out their bad editing they've been giving us (aside from Kaoh Rong, that season was very well done)
But at the same time, seasons like Cagayan/MvGX/Cambodia(even though the edit got wonky sometimes) were lots of fun for me.
Okay I'm rambling too much.
What do you guys think? Character-Driven or Strategy-Focused? I really am curious LOL!

Pre merge vs post merge

2 _ivyyy_445, May 27, 2017

Which was better in Survivor Game Changers?
I personally enjoyed Tony and Sandra and Malcolm, even JT was a good source of drama and even though i dont like Ciera i still think she was booted too soon because she couldve been fun.
It was heartbreaking in a sense to see all of the 'real' game changers leave so early BUT... It was still tons of fun.
Post merge was worse for me. Cirie was the only saving grace (Aubry got literally no edit and she was made F5, what the heck?!?!) but watching Cirie get screwed by production handing out too many things because they're desperate for #BIGMOVEZ really made me mad
Or maybe Sierra for giving Sarah the advantage
Either way im mad Cirie lost again.
Sarah winning was better though. Andrea was fun too. Overall not as exciting as it couldve been if people in the premerge had made it to the merge

I don't get why

people say Parvati is overrated. Those who do really need to rewatch Heroes vs Villains and pay close attention to her game. She was the biggest target since day one and she still made it to the FTC. She made a huge double idol play that changed the course of the game, and she was the reason the villains took over.
She was strong in challenges.
Talk bad on her social game all you want, if that season had the 'New Era #BIGMOVEZ Survivor' jury and not a bitter one, she would've won that season.
Not talking down on Sandra because at the end of the day, Sandra won. But to say Parvati is overrated is crazy imo. Parvati's one of the best

Thoughts

Would an all recruiters Season of survivor be good at this point in the survivor timeline? I used to never miss a survivor episode but it's just gotten really dull with #BigMovez and #SurvivorBlindside. The survival aspect isn't even really in play anymore and we get less personality and more gameplay. A season with all recruits who have no idea how the game works might make for an interesting season in my opinion. It would give us a more raw and old school feel that I sort of miss.
Thoughts?
