In this game, I was one of three active people. I was the 20th to join and was nominated right away. Unfortunately Nick83Crosenworth was the only one to come on during day 1 aside from me and promptly was the sole voter and took me out. Now for the rest of the game, iDuck is the only one that regularly checks in or posts and the rest haven't been on in the last day even. So Congrats to iDuck on winning the portuguese game!
Now, thanks Nick for voting me out but at the same time giving us some gems like:
alguém por aqui? lol -> anyone here? lol
já vi k n,volto mais tarde
boa sorte aos nomeados :) -> already k, coming back later. good luck to the nominees.
Aw Nick. I would've talked to you if you had only kept me in. Mas espero que os outros jogos portugueses vão melhor que esse jogo. Que lastima.
http://www.tengaged.com/game/7428 is a game that was waiting for 91 days to start. I knew that when I started at tengaged, the other language games were still around and were actually starting up at a quicker pace than they are now. Portuguese and Spanish games used to only take days or weeks to start up not months like they do now. I even blogged about how I lamented not having other language games anymore. But thanks to Bridgette's blog, I found out that they exist and I figured out how to join them. http://www.tengaged.com/blog/Bridgette/20318/what-long-wait
So for those that want to enter a game in either German, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Danish or Russian, you can go to the enrollment screen and look under your avatar. It shows languages under there and you can click (change). Then you can change your language and then just choose which game you want (probably a casting).
The only thing is that the demand for these games is so slow that it probably isn't worthwhile unless people talk about starting up a game in advance and then joining all at the same time. They're not really supported and it eats up a slot in your games. I think it would be good to make/join a language group so that speakers of that language can gather together to plan out a game in advance and be able to know when to expect the games to begin.
1. When you hang around whales whose names you do not know, in places such as zoos, Sea World, or the ocean, be sure to keep your back closest to the nearest exit. If the whales tries to corner you, at least you have a possible exit.
2. If a whale asks you if you'd like to see a sperm whale, the answer is "NO, I do not want to see a sperm whale and YOU SIR are a stranger. I am strong and can defend against your advances."
3. If someone named Shamu comes up to you at a bar/pub, keep your drink close by and stay by friends and do not go with him to the VIP lounge. This individual has been known to spike drinks and use a back room.
4. Stay away from large bodies of salt water or artificial holding tanks in tropical or semi-tropical climates.
5. NEVER EVER get near the blowhole. Always remember that you have the right to say no.
Follow these steps, and I'm sure you'll never have to worry about being raped by a whale. Feel free to speak up about whale rape, it is a topic that few are willing to talk about. But the more people that open up about their experiences, the easier it is for survivors to break the chains and feel that they do not need to keep the secrets that they once had. Please heed my advice, as I'm not only an expert on the topic, but I'm also a survivor of whale rape.
What's worse - having a unibrow or bad breath? One is a visual atrocity that repels from afar and the other is an olfactory atrocity that you only notice from up close. What's worse for others and which one's worse for yourself in daily life? Please comment - this is important research.
I was thinking of painting the walls of my room. Right now, there's just regular plain white with various airplane safety guidelines stolen from different aircraft. I'm starting to fall in love with dolphins, and I'm not talking about Michael Phelps. No, like real dolphins. Do you guys think that this would be the most awesomest thing to put in my room? Or do you think I need to make it have more sparkly stars and glitter all over? Or more pinks and reds?
In the news recently, the recent salmonella outbreak has been thought to be linked to some batches of peanut butter. This peanut butter brand is typically used in Austin and Keebler peanut butter sandwich packs. I love these and I often see them around to enjoy. While these peanut butter sandwiches will be safe in the future, this will only be a small blip when we all have to be certain that the crackers were not in the tainted batch. I can't wait to have them again, but just be careful if you currently hold some of them right now.
