Changing appearances Jan 12, 2009
imageI've come to notice that some people tend to change their avatars quite a bit. That's cool and all, but I'm trying to get into the psychology of it all. So they say that when a person wants to change her/his life, s/he often makes a big change in appearance. Some people go on a drug/drink binge and get themselves a paparazzi shot in which s/he flashes some vaj (see ingenues). Some become more uptight and no longer take off their shirt in photos shoots (see Chris Evans). Some fire PR consultants and hire family (see Tom Cruise). Some just get a haircut (Brit Brit).

So when some of the stars or others in tengaged change appearances, do they consult with image consultants or others to figure out what image to take? And if so, is there a market out there on tengaged for such a thing? Or is it okay to just let the person choose themselves how to style? Since there seems to be an atmosphere of tabloids in some blogs, it may be something to think about. Then again, are most people just so confident that it plainly doesn't make a difference?

What are your opinions?

To record for posterity: The notebook. Jan 7, 2009
imageSo I was flipping through the channels and I saw the last fifteen minutes of THE NOTEBOOK. I caught on when they had the nice reunion and it was the last scene of the flashbacks. But it didn't matter, I was already crying. Then they go back to the present and then she forgets the story. It was heartbreaking. So that reminded me that Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are gorgeous together. Both are attractive on their own, but when their powers combine, they become like the SuperMegaLoveZord and can make Rita jealous anyday of their supercuteness. Ah, to be like them.

Don't read the tips during Day 8 of casting games. Jan 7, 2009
One of the tips says: "If you're not nominated, you're safe!" This is a lie. I didn't fully believe it when I read it, but I was not nominated and I ended up getting 5th place instead of making it to the finals.

Everyone in my game was wondering how I was evicted. Well at least I know it wasn't my fault because I posted quite a bit during that day and voted as well.

It's cold outside, so give up your cold hard cash Jan 3, 2009

nataliecorbin and I have decided that we will solicit donations to be able to travel to Southern California. It is too cold in Maine and Pennsylvania that we can no longer bear it. For the sake of our mental welfare, those that have something to give should offer it to us. We need airline tickets and accomodations. scubasteve will be our guide. Look at a picture of natalie to see how miserable she is in Maine. Please save us.

Tengaged en otros idiomas Jan 3, 2009
So it seems that games in other languages have died out on tengaged. I thought it was fairly ambitious in the first place to start out here with so many languages. I remember the Spanish games were rolling at the start with Chinese actually bringing in quite a few. But I don't see any more non-English games anymore. I'm not surprised and I'm not displeased, but I appreciate that there was at least an attempt made early on.
