Ukraine/Russia War - Moderate (Left Leaning): I do support financial aid, along with the aid of weapons and other supplies. I think it’s important to keep our NATO allies in a good position. And Russia overtaking Ukraine would put them in a very bad position. I don’t however, at least at this moment, support the aid of our troops. (#yandereboy12)
Bolsonaro In Brazil: Tbh I don’t know much about Brazilian politics or politicians. But in general I believe all voices of the Brazilian public should be heard. I’m sorry I don’t know more about the issue. ( MattM)
Abortion - Very Liberal: Her body, her choice. There’s too many variables and situations in life to restrict a woman’s ability to make a decision that makes the most sense for her life. Regardless if that reason be financial, health related, or anything else (Incest, Rape, ect). ( TDfan99)
Trans Athletes - Liberal: Okay this is a very complex and tricky issue. But in the most simple context I agree with Trans athletes being able to compete in sports. In most professional and competitive leagues there are several markers a trans man or trans woman have to meet in order to qualify (As far as Hormone/Estrogen levels). And statistically Trans athletes are not out competing cis gendered athletes so I don’t see a reason to not allow it. A lot of Conservative viewpoints against it are led with stereotypes in their head about what a Trans woman or man are like, these are often misconceptions and wrong. ( Unkown)
Gun Violence - Conservative: I’m a firm believer in the right to bear arms. This is so important in any nation just in case the Government became overly corrupt and tried to impose martial law type things on the public. I also think a person with a gun can more efficiently protect themselves in the case of home invasions, robberies, ect. With that being said I do think there needs to be better background checks and mental health screenings when it comes to buying a gun. And more thought needs to be put into how to keep people in public places safe. ( Vanitysmurf)
January 6th/Electoral College - Very Liberal: The events of January 6th were so insanely unacceptable. The far right conspiracy theories are so dangerous for our nation. They should all be held accountable, including politicians who encouraged the events in anyway. Also the Electoral College is stupid. Should be 1 person, 1 vote. I get the idea of it, but it’s outdated and the difference in popularity vote/electoral vote has become too large of a margin. ( booyahhayoob)
Incest/Gay Incest/North Korea: Not sure if this falls under any political side, but definitely don’t agree with incest for obvious reasons. And for North Korea dictatorship is the worst form of government and I think there needs to be stronger measures in place for nuclear bomb testing in both North Korea and other countries. Immigration - Moderate (Left Leaning): I believe in secure borders, and illegal crossing of the border should be prevented as much as possible. But I also stand by the importance of seeking asylum and think the path to citizenship should be made to be much easier to achieve. I also don’t agree with the separation of illegal immigrants and their children - that’s just fucked up. ( trickdaddy6)
Palestine and Israel conflict - Moderate: This is another one that is so tricky and I really am not sure where I fall on this. I am not super knowledgeable on all of the issues, and only have a brief understanding of the conflict. I definitely sympathize with the Palestinians who are treated poorly, and don’t agree with poor treatment based on religion or ethnicity. ( Danio) ( Manniboi)
Commonwealth - Liberal: Our long time commonwealths should have a path towards statehood if that’s what the commonwealth wants. I also think the US should provide more resources for our commonwealths as they serve in our military and play an increasingly substantial role in everyday US life. ( jessie_)
Britney Spears Conservatorship - Very Liberal: I stood behind the free Britney movement. Woman get targeted every day for being even the slightest bit off, while men like Kanye West run around for years acting insane. Nothing about Britney’s behavior bothers me. If she wants to dance and act unhinged on Instagram I feel like she should be able to do so. As long as she’s not hurting herself or other people she should be allowed to live freely. Catalonia Independence from Spain - Moderate: I’m not too informed on the politics in Spain, and don’t know enough details to really choose a side. But I do stand for Independence, and a region having a say in what happens to them. ( David2560)
Death Penalty - Conservative: I believe in the death penalty and some crimes most definitely deserve it. I think the evidence needs to be extremely clear and there needs to be not 1 ounce of doubt that the charged individual is guilty. I would say people who commit mass shootings, several intentional murders, and any crimes like that are all appropriate reasons why death penalty could be considered. Death Penalty should be carried out in only the most extreme and violent crimes. ( williamgonzales)
Minimum Wage - Very Liberal: I will die on the hill that all Americans should believe in higher wages. I know so many conservatives making minimum wage that will vote to keep it lower, makes no sense. The cost of living has risen dramatically in the last few decades, while minimum wage has only increased slightly. The US federal wage is still $7.25 an hour and has not changed since 2009. Homosexual Elephants in Throuples - Very Liberal: I’m actually very liberal on this. Elephants should have the right to be homosexual and in throuples. ( allison)
Uighurs in China - Liberal: This is so fucked up and I can’t believe things like this are still happening in the year 2022. I think the United Nations need to hold China accountable and look into any possible international crimes being committed. ( danyyboy67)
Rising Anti-Semitism - Very Liberal: People need to stop hating others because of who they are. Every race, religion, ethnicity, sexuality, ect deserves to be treated equally and respectfully. Anyone who shows prejudice towards the jewish community is wrong and should be held accountable. ( yawnha)
Cultural Appropriation - Moderate: I understand the idea of it and I do agree people should not culturally appropriate in a disrespectful manner that is intended to poke fun at or offend the culture. But I do think some liberal viewpoints take it too far. For example I think if a white woman wants to have dreads or braids - and her intent is pure and just culturally appreciative of those hairstyles - then I think it should be okay. I of course disagree with black face and other offensive forms of cultural appropriation. ( temponeptune)
