Night 5 Auditions Notes:

1. Sorry for being a day late. I'll be a date late on tonight's episode too. I'll prob have it posted by tomorrow morning!
2. Honestly, I thought this episode was pretty bad :/
3. Gary and Hannah were both good. They were both definitely above average, but neither of them stunned me. Gary has amazing control and definitely has some of the highest potential on the season, so I'm excited to see him later on. Hannah sang "If I Ain't Got You" which is a recipe of a great performance, so let's see if she can impress us with a song that is less flashy.
4. Jordan performed well, but I'll prob dislike him as the competition goes on. We'll see lol.
5. Teana really took a risk here. She honestly performed pretty well, with just a few shaky moments. Her note at 1:15 was what made blew me away though. The rest was promising, but nothing too special. I have a feeling she could be a dark horse.
6. Shana obviously has a good voice, but imo it was too much. Some of it I liked, and some of it I hated.
7. Livia was good, but boring. She sounded like a cheap Amy Vachal.
8. Miya was definitely shaky, but not bad....just not great. She has potential though.
9. Stephanie is the most overrated leaked audition ever wtf lmao. Honestly it wasn't even a good performance. She just sang Kelly's song, which landed her a spot on the show. Hopefully she does better in the battles.
10. If one more person sings Chain of Fools as their audition song.....There's literally one person every season who sings it as their audition song, and 99% of the performances sound the same.
11. Bransen put me to sleep, but at least he has a raw country voice, rather than a pop-country / party-country voice.
12. Hopefully these last 5 blow me away...

I did not like Bransens voice one bit.
Shana's performance was unique but I didn't care for it tbh :/
Jordan gives me Hunter Hayes vibes. Livia is kinda like that girl from a few seasons ago but I forgot her name smh (not Amy tho I see that comparison).
I hope Teana doesn't turn into the next Shi'Ann where they push her voice too much
You’re talking about overrated Leaked performances but didn’t address Hannah having one of the most generic voices in the competition, and how her performance was overhyped because she sung an Alicia song and the fact that kelly blocked alicia. Stephanie was 100% better than Hannah. kob3sm1th
Either way, idk if you read my notes, but I agree w/ you (kind of). Hannah wasn't anything special, but because she sang "If I Ain't Got You," I think it made it interesting, considering you literally can't sing that song in a boring way. BUT...if she sang something less flashy, she'd prob be towards the bottom of my ranking. I didn't find anything that special about her lol. If that makes sense?
Stephanie, on the other hand, was pitchy and nervous...also maybe I'm comparing her performance to too many others, but she was way less connected to the song than I've seen other people sing it, considering it's obviously a very emotional song...she didn't move me at all lol....but that's my opinion.
