Hello! And Welcome back to part 1 of Episode 5 of Happy Holiday Survivor!!!!
As the title of the blog reads, this is a two part episode technically, but I will still only do one episode today, and the other tomorrow, just so I can try and get this as close to actual Christmas day as possible.
Last episode we saw a tribe swap, leaving the tribes very divided. Max was the lone Character on the New Songs and etc. Tribe, AIWFCIY was the lone Song on the New Characters and etc. Tribe, and the Old Songs and etc. Tribe had a 2-3 minority on the New New Happy Tribe. Max finally got his translator, though its a bit broken. In the Immunity Challenge, Songs and etc. Tribe suffered a loss, leaving Max a little worried he'd have to use the idol to save themselves. However after a heated argument with Shattered Dreams and Christmas Tree Farm, Big Presents gave his input when it wasn't needed, making them the target for Shattered Dream's and Christmas Tree Farm's alliance with Sleigh Ride, and they were voted out 3-2

Big Presents arrives on Edge of Extinction, the others aren't very shocked until they tell them about the tribe swap and what happened after their team lost. They all just shake their heads and discuss who they think is playing the best game at the moment.
They bond, until I, the host, shows up!: Oh my Exiled 4, I have a bit of a surprise for you. Today you will receive a clue for two advantages. One will help you with the challenge that lies ahead for you, and one will help the people still in the game. You'll receive the clue for the one to help you first, and then the 3 who don't find that will get the clue for the one to help others.
Eggnog finds the advantage to help them for the challenge that lies ahead, which allows them to practice for it.
Oh Santa! finds the advantage to help the people still in the game, it's an extra vote which they can assign to one person on each tribe, and whichever tribe loses that person will be the one to get it.
Oh Santa! plans to either give it to Christmas Tree Farm, Gizmo, or Santa Claus/Martians.
Opening Confessionals:
Max: BARK BARK- *the translator kicks in, this time it's a bad Australian accent* I don't know what in the John Dory happened. All that drama, and Shattered Dreams still didn't go? I'm defo on the outs.
Gizmo: I hope that my team can pull out a million wins and never have to see tribal ever again!
Buddy: Despite having majority over Hey Sis, It's Christmas and Glittery, I'm still worried I am on the bottom.
Relationship Highlights:
Songs and etc. Tribe
Sleigh Ride continues to carry the biggest bonds, getting along with everyone on some level. Christmas Tree farm is now disliked by everyone but Sleigh Ride and Max and Shattered Dreams fall somewhere in the middle.
Characters and etc. Tribe
Everyone on this team seems to be perceived with mixed reviews. All having a couple bonds and a couple dislikes each. The strongest bond currently is with Baby Grinch and AIWFCIY, while the strongest dislike is with Gizmo and Baby Grinch. Just to show you an example of the mixed reviews here.
Happy Tribe:
Bucky's Arm decides to take it upon themselves to find the idol in the relationship highlights section.
Same with the Characters and etc. Tribe, this tribe also seems to be a bag of mixed feelings. Though it seems Buddy and Glittery are perceived the overall worst.
Now Lets move onto our SECOND REWARD CHALLENGE of the season.
True Grit
"Each tribe must race through a licorice rope ramble to get to a gate with two bolas tied to it. They must then go under a bamboo crawl to get another two bolas. At the end of the course, each tribe must land all four bolas on a set of poles, with each member being required to land one bola. The first two tribes to get all four bolas on their poles win."
This challenge goes by surprisingly quickly, two tribes seem to get the hang of it very quickly, as another falls apart almost instantly.
CHARACTERS and ETC. Tribe is the first to win. They win peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, As well as a jar of both peanut butter and jelly, a loaf of bread and ice cold milk.
The second team to win is HAPPY Tribe where they just win pb and j's not the extras, still better than Songs and etc. Tribe that wins nothing.
Now onto the challenge that arguably matters more. THE IMMUNITY CHALLENGE!
Now for this challenge somehow, thanks to magic probably, we have actual water instead of ice, and the water is also warm, again thanks to magic probably. Don't thank production they suck!
A Bit Dinghy
"Each tribe member must swim out to a ramp, where they must then dive to release two buoy puzzle pieces. Once they have their puzzle pieces, they must pull a pontoon to a platform, where they must use the two pieces they collected, and another two pieces on the platform, to build a buoy pyramid. The first two tribes to finish their pyramid win."
It seems as though all tribes start off pretty evenly, they all seem better equipped with water rather than ice, they are all very neck and neck, all reaching the pontoon platform within seconds of eachother. This challenge is gonna come down to the wire. In fact it's so close, that two tribes finish at the exact same time, with the losing tribe a mere second behind.
The two winning teams are.
SONGS and ETC. Tribe and the HAPPY Tribe. Congrats you both are safe from tribal! YAY for you.
Challenge Confessionals:
AIWFCIY: Am I nervous? You betcha, but again hoping the fractured lines in this tribe help me stay... at least til the merge.
Max, still in a bad Australian Accent: Phew, g'day, g'day indeed.
Glittery: Glad we won, because I feel like I'm on the outs for sure.
TRIBAL EVENTS:
Songs and etc. Tribe
Shattered Dreams and Max find something in common. Not sure what it's like to talk to a dog who speaks in broken accents, but as a shattered glass, I'm sure anything is relatable.
Also the alliance consisting of Christmas Tree Farm, Sleigh Ride, Shattered Dreams and AIWFCIY dissolves. How sad for Shattered Dreams, now their only ally is on a different tribe.
Characters and etc. Tribe
Due to losing Gizmo has gained the extra vote power.
Annabelle and AIWFCIY have a small fight. It's a really pointless fight that started due to them discussing targets and not agreeing on who they think would be the best fit to go home.
Happy Tribe
An Alliance forms between Bucky's Arm, Santa Claus/Martians, and Glittery, a very random alliance that seemed to form out of nowhere, hopefully Glittery learned her lesson of not leaving alliances. Only Time will tell.
Event Confessionals:
TARGETS AND TRIBAL:
Baby Grinch is targeting Gizmo, They don't get along and he thinks Gizmo is weak in challenges
Gizmo is targeting Fievel because he thinks he is weak.
At the tribal I ask a couple of questions.
Q: Baby Grinch, after a majorly successful reward challenge win and another almost win in the immunity challenge, how do you think this tribe can improve?
A: Well, I do think there is a weak spot on our team, and I think if we get rid of our weak spot, we can do even better.
Q: Gizmo, same question.
A: Well, Obviously I think we are a strong team, but, I'd have to agree with Baby Grinch, there is a small weak spot.
Grinch: Oh I didn't say it was small, it's pretty obvious and apparent and definitely there.
Gizmo frowns: Oh...
Okay and with that it is time to vote. Annabelle you are up first.
Gizmo does not use his extra vote, and no one has an idol so the silence remains very very loud.

Closing Confessionals:
Gizmo, who is slightly frowning, but tries his best to smile: I'm very sad to be going, but clearly other people had better connections than me. Most notably Baby Grinch. Maybe I can win my way back and take him out... but we will have to wait and see.
Baby Grinch: Glad to see my bonds helped me here in getting out my target. Moving forward, working with AIWFCIY seems to be my best option.
AIWFCIY: Another day, another day closer to merge where I can be reunited with my one true bestie Shattered Dreams.

CLOSING THOUGHTS BY ME:
I really did like Gizmo, and I do think had AIWFCIY not formed such strong bonds so quickly, Gizmo could have gone far. I am a little sad that he didn't use his extra vote, not like it would've helped, but him not using it to me, makes me think he didn't think he was a target. Just like everyone else, I hope he does well in the re-entry.
On this tribe, it seems like Baby Grinch is leading it, but come merge, I'm curious if this tribe will hold strong or fall apart just like that. Only time will tell.

What a tragedy
