Individual Immunity Challenge #2 Aug 2, 2013
Everybody starts with 10 points. The goal is to get as close to 20 points without going over at the end of the time limit (24 hours 7:30pm EST). As well as individual immunity being up for grabs the player to get the lowest score will receive a Hidden Immunity Idol Clue. To get a point a person who is not part of the game (includes current and eliminated contestants) must mention your name (incorrect mentions will still count as long as they are intelligible). Each person may only post once, if somebody posts more than once or for two people their first post will be the only one that counts. If they post a -1 next to your name IN THE SAME POST then it will take 1 point away from your score. You can not go below zero at any point. You don't need to post +1, but an absence of any +1 or -1 (or something stupid like -2) will count as a plus 1. In the event that two people tie in terms of lowest score or closest to 20 without going over, the player that reached their final score earliest will win! Thanks to Mearl for the challenge idea, it's one of my favourites :)

Bingo's Top 10: Greatest Comebacks/Biggest Underdogs May 20, 2013
imageHere we have another blog in my series of top 10 blogs leading up to my 21st season of survivor. In our third top 10 we look at the players who made the greatest comebacks and overcame the odds in their season. These select players managed to turn the game around and were some of the biggest underdogs when they played. So with that being said let's get to the list, hope you enjoy!

10th: BBlover96 (4th Bingo's Best vs Gaia's Greats) - In a season with 2 very evenly matched teams and a 6-6 merge, it originally looked like GG might run away with a numbers advantage when Epstar59 (a member of BB) was the first taken out after the merge. However, like so often in survivor the game was turned on its head and after Epstar's elimination 4 members from GG left back to back. With only 2 GG members left (BB and Keitho44), BBlover looked set to end up in 7th place but some intense strategising along with some timely idol plays at the final 7 and the final 5 propelled him into 4th place just one vote short of the final tribal council where he very likely could have walked away a winner.

9th: ShadowBaller000 (2nd Mesopotamia) - Despite high expectations, Mesopotamia turned out to be an extremely inactive and one sided season with the Petra tribe dominating the pre-merge side of the game. They came into the merge with a 6-4 advantage (7-3 if you disregard BengalBoy mutinying to Ammon pre-merge). With the numbers as they were, it looked like it'd be lights out for the original Ammon members but due to a couple of self votes and the brotherly ties of Shadow and Piddu, 3 Petra members were the first casualties post merge. From there, the pendulum swung back as 3 Ammon members left, leaving 4 original Petra members and Shadow, the last Ammon standing. With his back to the wall Shadow won 3 challenges in a row to secure his place in the final 2. Although he lost in the jury vote, Shadow was a real underdog from the merge onwards and used both his social connections and physical talent to beat the odds and make it to the end.

8th: Hudspith (7th Second Chances) - Returning from an early exit in Scandinavia, Hudspith was once more hit with bad fortune as he wound up on a tribe that lost 4 challenges in a row and were annihilated pre-merge. Hudspith became the 5th member voted out of the game narrowly missing out on a potentially life-saving tribe swap but was offered another chance through the outcast twist. Joining the Was tribe after rejoining the game after being voted back in by the Outcasts, Hudspith was able to avoid being voted out long enough to make the merge. At the merge the numbers stood 5 original Ankh, 5 original Was, 2 outcasts (1 had joined Ankh, while the other had joined Was). With fellow returning outcast bigbrother101 the first to leave after the merge (12th Place), it looked like Hudspith might be next. Through a cunning strategic and social game, Hudspith was able to minimise the target he had on his back as a returning outcast and sneak his way through to the final 7 where he was narrowly voted out 4-3. From exiting in 18th place to winding up in 7th Hudspith mounted a great comeback and was a true underdog as a returning Outcast.

7th: TDATrentsgroup (5th Costa Rica) - In a familiar story to some of the other contenders on this list, TDA was part of a tribe that were decimated pre-merge and merged 7-3 down in numbers. The first two votes after the merge went as expected and TDA's sole remaining tribe mates Manalord and ThaMeowMeow leaving TDA down 7-1. With the writing on the wall, TDA was able to ingratiate himself with the former Bribri members and contribute to 3 of them leaving back to back. At the final 5 TDA's run came to an end as the other contestants decided it was to risky to keep such an underdog around and he was voted out 4-0(1).

6th: The Fans Pepster101, Ferdinandz, SimvivoRWay (2nd, 3rd and 4th Bhutan - Fans vs Favourites) - In Bhutan the fans struggled in the initial stages of the game, relying on the luck of the numbers in 2 tribe switches to make it far. Mongar, one of the two original fan tribes were the weakest before the 1st tribe switch and pepster and ferdinandz had to survive 3 early tribal councils to stay alive in the game. Pepster, Ferd and Sim were lucky with their respective tribe switches as the moved to stronger tribes and were able to make the merge fairly unscathed.
To be continued... (Some of the ordering may still change). At the merge the Favourites had a 6-4 advantage and even after the slight relief provided by @Milkisgood quitting the game, fellow fan thewinner's was eliminated leaving the fans still down by 2. Instead of the favourites capitalising on the numbers advantage they became concerned with threats and the fans were able to turn the tables eliminating 4 faves back to back to hold a 3-1 majority over the last remaining favourite smiley20. Unfortunately for the fans smiley was able to win the final challenge and secure a spot in the final 3 and go on to win the game. However, the ability of these 3 players to drive apart the favourites and close the divide between the two groups was a truly impressive effort.

5th: Milkisgood (1st Scotland - Arch-Rivals) - In perhaps the toughest season of bingo's survivor the two tribes Chattan and MacKay were fairly evenly matched during the initial stages of the game trading immunity wins. Chattan however, were able to get one up on MacKay winning the final pre-merge challenge and having Aerothunder return from Redemption Island to strengthen their numbers. With a 7-5 advantage things went fairly smoothly for Chattan until TylerKeith and Gaiaphage decided to switch the game up taking out threats and causing commotion in the game. Despite the unpredictability periods of the post-merge game, Chattan were still able to maintain a numbers advantage throughout and held a 4-1 advantage over Milk (the lone MacKay player) at the final 5. Although Milk could have easily been taken out at the final 5, he became the vital vote between two duos (Gaia + Tyler and Leacroft and Sarge455). After siding with Gaia and Tyler, Milk was able to win 2 challenges back to back to ensure he couldn't be taken out and would sit infront of the jury where his heroic gameplay and underdog status led to being crowned the sole survivor in a 5-4 vote.

4th: The Girls snowgirl57, AshlynArehart, Missalice3 (6th, 5th and 2nd Suriname) - In seasons where the tribes are divided by gender it can be extremely difficult to come back from a numbers disadvantage but in this season these girls were able to do just that. After an appalling start to the game in which the female tribe Aluku lost 4 challenges right off the bat, these 3 females were able to survive tribe switches where they were automatically in the minority. At the merge there was a clear male presence in the game with the Guys with a 7-3 stranglehold on the game. However, the females were able to assimilate into sub alliances within the male group and in 4 back to back blindsides male tribe-members were sent home. The streak of males leaving could not continue especially with some of the girls becoming targets due to their strong social games. At the next two votes snow and Ashlyn were eliminated from the game leaving Missy the lone girl in the final 4. Not giving up missy was able to win an immunity challenge and force the guys to turn against one another. Her journey not ending there, missy was brought to the final 2 by Timster where she narrowly lost in a 4-3 vote. The females ability to win challenges and break down the gender barrier places then at number 4 on this countdown.

3rd: DarkTyphoon23 (1st Japan) - In a topsy turvy game with 4 tribes of 5, Dark made the merge with only 1 tribemate Dolphinsoccer4. Feeling he had missed too much of the game to know what was going on, Dolphin quit the game leaving Dark as the sole remaining Aoi member. Akai (4 members left) and Midori (3 members left) where the dominant tribes at the merge with =johnoliver96 (Daidaiiro Tribe) in a similar boat to DarkTyphoon. Despite being the lone remaining player from his original tribe, the other lone player john was taken out first at the final 9 and then Dark was able to save himself from elimination by an idol at the final 8. At the next vote (final 7) Dark was vulnerable to elimination yet didn't receive a single vote against him. From this point onwards it was clear Dark would be targeted again sooner or later yet he was able to reel off 4 challenge wins in a row to propel himself into the final 2, where he went on to win the game in a unanimous 5-0 vote. As a lone player at the final 9 the odds were firmly against Dark yet his triumph in Japan puts him as one of the greatest comebacks and underdog stories in bingo's survivor.

2nd: The Cayona 3 donosaurus_rex, IceIceBaby, LusciousLips5 (1st, 2nd and 3rd Haiti) - In a short 16 person season Cayona quickly fell behind in members during the pre-merge stage. With the opposing tribe Ringot only going to tribal twice before the merge, they looked set to take out the Cayona members one by one at the merge with their 6-4 majority. Despite Cayona being a dysfunctional bunch, they were able to convince the Ringot members who were lower on the totem pole to flip and vote out their own tribe mates. In a series of blindsides, 4 Ringot members left in a row giving the once outnumbered Cayona a 4-2 majority. While one would think it would be smooth sailing from their, Cayona turned on their own and voted Mybash out of the game. With Cayona falling apart, dono was able to win back to back challenges and force the Cayona 3 to stick together producing one of the biggest turn arounds in bingo's survivor history. With no tribe switches to split allegiances, the socialising and strategising of the Cayona members was exceptional to break down the Ringot powerhouse and result in 3 minority members making it to the finals.

1st: The Guys sarge455 and joshg222 (1st and 2nd Guys vs Girls) - As mentioned earlier the seasons divided by gender result in a tribal pride and a divide that's most difficult to bridge come merge. In a hotly contested season, the girls held a slight 7-6 majority come merge. Although Whizzy was the first to leave after the merge, the girls struck back and made a point of ousting the guys to regain a clear majority (5-2) at the final 7. With josh and sarge the sole remaining male players left they were fortunate to win joint immunity at the final 7 to ensure the girls had to turn on one another. In one of the most impressive moves in bingo's survivor history, the guys were able to pit SweetRem and Leacroft against one another to oust Lea from the game. With Lea (the leader of the girls) gone, the female alliance fell to pieces as the guys knocked off the girls one by one without any threat to their standing for the rest of the game. Sarge and josh went on to finish 1st and 2nd and dominate the jury voting against the sole remaining female britty. For turning a tribe full of pride against each other in a genius way and to avoid being threatened despite a gender divide, the guys claim top spot on this segment of bingo's top 10.

Bingo's Top 10: Female Contestants May 17, 2013
imageHere we have another blog in my series of top 10 blogs leading up to my 21st season of survivor. In our second top 10 we look at the greatest female contestants from my series. The number of female contestants are heavily outweighed by male players on tengaged but this hasn't stopped the ladies from making their mark in bingo's survivor series. The series has featured 8 female finalists, including 2 female sole survivors. So with that being said let's get to the list, hope you enjoy!

10th: Missalice3 (2nd Suriname) - As a finalist, Missy would probably feature higher up the list if not for her inactivity during the middle period of the game. While she self-voted during her inactive period, when Missy was active she was involved in the majority of the vote off's while managing to keep her hands clean. Although she wasn't a player at the forefront of what happened, she did managed to make the final 2 after the girls came into the merge outnumbered 7-3, she won an individual immunity challenge when her life in the game depended on it and she almost walked away with the title of sole survivor losing in a 4-3 vote to Timster.

9th: LusciousLips5 (3rd Haiti) - Luscious was one of those players who manages to just sail through the game avoiding everybody's radar. Despite being viewed as simply a follower at the final tribal council, she managed to win an individual immunity challenge and was part of the Cayona tribe that came into the mere with a 6-4 deficit on their hands. Against all odds, Luscious tried her best to play loyal to her tribe and only received 3 votes against her the entire game despite being vulnerable at 9 tribal councils. Even though she failed to receive a vote at the final tribal, her ability to even make it there puts her at a deserving 9th on this list.

8th: LeighBee101 (2nd Japan, 20th Eldorado - All Stars) - LeighBee first appeared in bingo's series in Japan. She was placed on the Akai tribe who dominated the first stage of the game and merged as the tribe with the most players left. It was all smooth sailing until Akai started to fall apart at the final 7. Leigh saw the ship sinking so she flipped to work with the other players ensuring former Akai's destruction. She formed a close bond with DarkTyphoon23, who chose her to join him in the final 2. In the end a combination of DarkT's strong performance in the game and LeighBee's betrayal of her former tribe meant a unanimous 5-0 victory for DarkT. When she returned for All Stars, many of her fellow castaways from Japan felt they couldn't trust her and LeighBee101 became the first player eliminated from the game.

7th: Yingyang (3rd Djibouti, 15th Heroes vs Zeroes, 6th Guys vs Girls)
Through her 3 outings in my survivor series, Yingyang proved she had what it takes to take on the toughest competitors. Despite a poor showing in HvsZ, Yingyang went deep in the game in both Djibouti and GvsG. In Djibouti Yingyang played strong from the outset, playing a vital part in both tribe and individual challenges. She was taken out by MMMMM at the final 3 as she posed the greatest threat to winning the game. In Guys vs Girls yingyang was a key component of the female tribe and stuck by the girls through the pre-merge and tricky post merge stage until her torch was snuffed when the female stranglehold fell apart.

6th - Brittyxx (3rd Guys vs Girls) - In Guys vs Girls despite a slow start, the girls were able to make a strong comeback and merge with numbers. 2 players were primarily responsible for this, they were Britty and Leacroft. Britty proved her worth in multiple challenges and displayed flair for design, submitting the winning flag in the 6th immunity challenge and also featuring strongly in the immunity necklace design challenge. An all girls finale looked inevitable until a communication breakdown changed the game at the final 7. Around the same time Britty's computer broke and she lost access to tengaged. Despite this, she was still able to vote via Facebook and become the lone female in the final 3. The computer breakdown while fixed during the jury questioning stopped Britty from pulling off a win as she was hammered for both this and her reliance on Leacroft. While Lea tried to prove that her ally wasn't a sheep, Britty's combination of strategic, social and physical game was overlooked and she finished in 3rd place with just one vote.

5th: IceIceBaby (2nd Haiti) - Ice was the fiery female in Haiti who wasn't afraid to get on people's bad sides. She played a key role in Cayona's comeback post-merge forming alliances with the Ringot members to make up for the players she alienated as she progressed in the game. Along the way she was able to snag an individual immunity win and bar 1 vote, every-time she wrote down a name at tribal, that person went home. While she was truly a standout player from the season who the other contestants recognised as a major threat to win the game, her blunt and upfront attitude rubbed people the wrong way and she was only able to receive 1 jury vote at the final tribal council alongside the controlled and composed donosaurus_rex

4th: AshlynArehart (5th Suriname) - Despite not reaching the finals in her only appearance, Ashlyn played a strong game that well and truly could have handed her the win if she'd have managed to make it all the way to the end. Despite there being 7 guys and 3 girls left at the merge in a season that began with tribes divided by sex, Ashlyn was able to use the relationships she built after a tribe swap to propel both herself and the other females further in the game. She was privy to the happenings of the votes and managed to win an individual immunity challenge. In the end, Ashlyn had to be blindsided due to being too likeable and a threat in terms of a jury vote. Throughout the game she managed to make an effect on the cast and her fellow castaways were mournful of her loss, leading to the fitting quote by Missy, "The Heartbreak in Suriname".

3rd: Leacroft (18th Djibouti, 7th Guys vs Girls, 4th Scotland - Arch-Rivals, 16th Bingo's Best vs Gaia's Greats) - What to say about Lea? From being the first player ever voted out of my survivor series, she's come an incredibly long way. In GvsG she lead the female tribe to victory on multiple occasions and pretty well ran the show. Winning 2 immunity challenges along the way the jury were adamant that if she made the finals she would have won easily. When she was voted out the wheels fell off for the girls and the two remaining guys sarge455 and joshg222 were able to take control of the game. Lea was loyal to the girls till the end, casting the sole jury vote for britty in the finale. Returning in the very next season, Leacroft had a target on her back from the start but she proved her worth to the tribe and made the merge comfortably. Post-merge Lea was able to avoid the blindsides and fought hard to remain in the game, winning 2 individual immunity challenges back to back! Unfortunately at the final 5 and final 4 the linchpin player @milkisgood sided with Gaiaphage and TylerKeith placing Leacroft on the wrong side of the numbers and sending her home. In BBvsGG Lea began the game in the dominant alliance until the alliance as overturned half way through the pre-merge stage. On day 31 of the game she had to quit the game and she became the final member victim of tribal council pre-merge.

2nd: Pattieilikefun (1st Hosts vs The Toast) - In a season where the hosts looked set to demolish the toast, pattie improved the odds by making sure all her team were informed about challenges and turned up on time. She made sure the toast held strong post merge and maintained their numbers advantage to pagong the host tribe. Winning 2 individual immunity challenges on the way, Pattie made sure she was considered in every players final 2 scenario. Throughout the course of the game I received multiple confessionals from players who were adamant they were going to the finals with her. En-route to the finals Pattie considered sacrificing herself for her allies but instead superman11 came to her aid and ensured she didn't put herself up for elimination. Playing one of the best social games this series has seen, Pattie was able to keep friendships strong even after tough votes and was selected by Piddu to sit with him in the final 2. From the jury questioning it was clear that Pattie had the game locked and she became the 2nd female sole survivor in a 5-2 vote.

1st: KathrineOliver (1st Djibouti, 19th Heroes vs Zeroes, 11th Eldorado - All Stars) - As the both the first female and first ever winner of bingo's survivor series, Kathrine truly deserves top spot on the table. Way back in Djibouti, Katherine was the first to show the important of a well rounded social game. She was involved in decision making and worked her way into the finals with MMMMM who played a blunt and calculated game. At tribal council, Katherine was able to work herself into good favour with the jury, talking about the great experience she had in the game and the friends she'd made throughout her journey to the finals. In the end her social game paid off as she was crowned the inaugural sole survivor! Returning 2 seasons later for Heroes vs Zeroes, Katherine had a target on her back being one of only 2 previous sole survivors in the game. She was able to integrate with her tribe but a school trip to London was her undoing as she was taken out for inactivity early on. Putting her poor performance behind her, Katherine accepted an invitation to return for Eldorado - All Stars where she brought back the tenacity and social skills she won Djibouti with. Up against a cast of the best players, she held her own and managed to survive 4 consecutive tribal councils after a disadvantageous tribe swap. At the merge despite rallying the troops a deadlocked vote could not be broken and under the original rules of the series she was eliminated by a countback of previous votes.

Honourable Mentions:
Monica1623 (12th Japan, 23rd Fans vs Faves)
Snowgirl57: (6th Suriname)
LindsayP: (10th Komodo Island)
Mittens: (18th Global, 9th Guys vs Girls)
LusciousLips5: (3rd Haiti)
