J2999 had managed to win yet another Sing For Your Life, unfortunately sending Admir home in the process. Last theme all of your submissions had really impressed us, and this is probably the most crucial theme to be on your A-game for! I’m sure none of you would want to go home this late. Remember that for today’s theme you’ll be submitting two songs, like you have been previously doing.
Matt’s a pretty soft-spoken person and I can tend to be a loud bitch at times. Going off of that for today’s theme we want you to submit ONE “soft” song and ONE loud song. You can interpret this however you’d like and the songs can be from any genre! Remember to be unique with your submissions and you have 24 hours from now to submit. First and foremost our (mostly my fault) deepest apologizes for posting results so late, life has been wack. J2999 and Admir you both fell a little short with your yin-yang submissions which landed you here so late in the game. There were no “bad” songs last round, you were all on your A-game so it was especially difficult to judge. You were both asked to submit a song of personal choice for one last chance to stay in the game. It’d be a shame to go home this late in the game so you really both had to bring the best of the best. Here’s what we thought of your submissions…
Admir - Papi (Isabela Merced)
M: This was sorta just okay. Nothing really popped out to me in this song unfortunately. From the vocals, to the production, to the lyrics, it just reminded me of a lot of fairly basic pop songs, and I think there’s a lot better that falls within that category. I don’t really have much else to say, it was just decent for me.
K: I agree with Matt in that it was generic pop however I think she did generic pop better than some of the biggest celebs like Selena Gomez (like why does she keep making music stop). The song itself was just a fun little bop like duh men suck. Something I really randomly liked about the video was the dancing. Overall I think it was a really fun song that I’d listen to in the car even though it's basic. Not a bad choice!!
J2999 - Nights (Neon Trees)
M: This was a bop. I usually like Neon Trees so it’s no surprise this was another good one from them. It had really good vibes to it and I immediately felt gravitated towards it. It was sorta upbeat for being a pretty sad and depressing lyrical song but I still think it worked. Definitely a good song to listen to on a sad night that has the potential to cheer you up or make you more sad! Classic!
K: LMAO oh this hit a little too close to home. I have honestly no idea what band this is but I really like their vibe. For sure thought this was going to be just some random indie song at first but I actually really liked it. I love this type of music where the lyrics are depressing as fuck but the song itself is so upbeat. The lyrics are like super sad but this song also makes me wanna dance so I’m confused. He has a really nice voice, they’re talented. A great choice though!!

Both of your submissions were quite enjoyable, however we just found that yours Admir didn’t stand out as much, but it was still quite enjoyable. This means unfortunately for you Admir we will be parting ways tonight. This is an especially hard goodbye seeing as you’ve made it this far and have had quite the journey. mradamman12 once again came out on top in the previous Sing For Your Life, while we wished iSandeh an unfortunate farewell once again, for good this time. A lot of your submissions have been impressing us lately, but we’re super close to the end so remember to bring us the best of the best! Another reminder that from now on until the end you need to submit TWO songs.
Matt and I are very different people, yin and yang if you will, which makes our friendship work so well. For today’s theme we basically want you to submit “Yin and Yang” songs. Your two submissions will have to compliment each other in some way; for example a heartbreak song/ a love song, making it out of poverty/a song about being rich, etc. It doesn’t have to be these examples, it can be any other complimentary themes as well, be creative! You also need to write a sentence on how your songs compliment each other. You have 24 hours from now to submit, good luck!
mradamman12 and iSandeh you both came up short on your throwback submissions last theme which landed you here. You were asked to submit a song of personal choice for a fighting chance to stay in the game. You’ve both come so far and have had quite unique journeys. Adam, you've had a dominating season but have landed here twice and Sandy you had earned your way back into the game. Your submissions were quite different from each other but by two iconic artists nonetheless. Here's what we thought about them...
iSandeh - MILF $ (Fergie)
M: LOL this was an interesting pick. The music video was all sorts of problematic but I’m not judging that! The message was weird, the INDEPENDENT part seemed sorta unnecessary and didn’t really make sense in the song to me? Like idk it was sorta conflicting and I didn’t get what she was trying to get across. As for the actual song, I thought it was pretty good. It was pretty basic pop in terms of production and vocals, and didnt stand out to me a lot other than the lyrics obviously. It’s pretty catchy though and the chorus is good. Not a bad pick but not really a standout to me.
K: LMFAO this song is so fucking funny. It's unironically a bop that has little to absolutely no meaning behind it, it's just funny. This was absolutely embarrassing for Fergie to make but that's ok we all make mistakes <3. The video is funny bc of all the other celeb moms she got to casually be in it with her. It's a fun ditzy song to listen to every so often. The bridge is like really bad and I kind of hate how she's screaming the rest of the song is okay. Fergie kind of fell off after her Glamorous and Fergalicious era. It’s kind of irrelevant pop but not an awful choice.
mradamman12 - Angels Like You (Miley Cyrus)
M: This was really good. I like Miley’s new stuff and this is one of the better songs off her new album IMO. Her voice just fits this so perfectly, I love how the raspiness she brings out the emotions of the song. The lyrics are really sad but cute at the same time, and also very relatable. I also really like the soft tones of the instrumentals and production. Just all around a good pick, I have nothing bad to say.
K: I'm in love with Miley's new album and her new style in general. She's super talented and this is one of the better songs off of the album. I've honestly always thought her voice was on the more unique side because she obviously has a heavy southern accent but punk kind of just suits her even when it's a slower song. This song makes me super emo and I’m totally adding it to my sad girl hour playlist. Definitely a great choice!
