Taylor Swift - Fearless (Taylor's Version) [RANKING]

May 6, 2021 by RedFabFoxy
Obviously I'm doing Taylor's Version! SIDE NOTE... This is where my VASTLY unpopular opinions from "regular" swifties appear. So pls expect the worst (?), your fave MAY be too low for your liking. And that's ok.
Anyway, Fearless is really a lot of people's childhood album huh? She truly did that, even for me. This one had to grow on me a lot throughout the years bc I used to hate country, but I can really really appreciate it now. The writing and the emotion... It's so good. Yet it's still not in my top 4 Taylor albums!

------
25. Superstar - This is kind of easily my least fave. I just don't care about it at all, not even with the rerecording. I guess I like how she sings one small part in the chorus?

24. We Were Happy - This sounds like a watered down version of coney island + happiness from evermore... #sorrynotsorry, BUT it's.. not terrible I guess? The chorus is the best part

23. The Other Side of the Door - It's cute, I do pay attention to the lyrics on this one more though. I don't care about anything else, especially when it "fizzles" after all the country stuff LOL

22. Jump Then Fall - Tbh I used to think this one was annoying but she improved it with Taylor's Version!

21. Today Was a Fairytale - Honestly I wasn't into this song when I first heard it, especially with how many times she repeated the title, but HONESTLY... she did improve it, she did. Love that for her!

20. Mr. Perfectly Fine - Unpopular opinion. Ugh... I know some of y'all will come for me bc this one became a fan fave, but I just... idk I get annoyed everytime someone tries to sing it or whatever LOL. I mean, it IS a cute song, I liked it when it dropped, but I feel like it's a lil overrated? Sorry!

19. Don't You - Ugh I feel so bad for putting this here. When it came out I LOVED it, I was shook.. But it has slowly been "dropping" for me. I feel like the sound is so not like Fearless? And I played this song at a not-so-convenient time for it so it made me like it less. But it's such a pretty song, I love that bridge (which was too short smh)

18. Love Story - I mean, it's a VERY very iconic bop, and probably the first Taylor song I've EVER heard!! But at this point I've heard it a million times and I tend to "move on" from it tbh. I still do sing along though, and idk if I'm the only one but I rly enjoy that random "HUH OH!" in the middle of verse 2.

17. The Best Day - This would be similar like Breathe, AKA both being my least fave back then, but Taylor's Version REALLY really bumped this one up. It's so beautiful and really emotional when you know what it's about. The chorus is just so melodic and pretty.

16. Untouchable - This is one of the few Fearless songs that I used to not care about at all, but again, Taylor's Version DEFINITELY bumped this one up. So beautiful, and I didn't even know it was a cover until a few weeks ago?! I-

15. Fearless - This is such an iconic little one. It's a very sing-along/belt-the-chorus type of song, and although I do love it, Sparks Fly reminds me of it but I actually prefer that one. (but we'll get to THAT soon!)

14. Hey Stephen - Honestly such a cute and funny bop, I enjoy listening to it. I love hearing her laugh from 2008 to 2021 too. Stephen bitch, it didn't work out because of your PH ass! (if you get the reference you're a real one x)

13. You Belong to Me - Honestly I used to put this in the same category as Love Story, but as of recently I've felt the urge to bop to it/play it in my head?? So... she snapped!

12. White Horse - Ugh I LOVE this beautiful song. That bridge is flawless.

11. Breathe (feat. Colbie Caillat) - I remember when this would be my least fave the first time I heard it... the way this beauty has grown on me 鉂わ笍 and the way I can really relate to this song especially with a semi-recent incident :(

10. You All Over Me (feat. Maren Morris) - SO so underrated, ugh. I love this song, it gives me peace, I love the instrumentation, I love the harmonies... Maren kinda sucks anyway so I'm glad she ONLY harmonized xoxo, but she did a great job here. We love the OG Clean!

9. Come in With the Rain - Whew... ANOTHER one that I just didn't care about until the rerecording. Jesus Christ, this song GETS me and idk why. That pre-chorus and the chorus... just literal perfection. Transports me to the vision Taylor had with this one. Also I'd NEVER known this one would make it to the top 10 of this album? Impact!

8. Change - That EPIC epic chorus alone makes this song such a goddamn standout to me. It's so grand and a perfect ending to the standard edition.

7. That's When (feat. Keith Urban) - She took me by SURPRISE with this one! Definitely one of my favourite The Vault songs. And surprisingly, mr yeehaw Keith Urban didn't sound bad at all either?! And the outro is such perfection, and it goes well into Don't You.

6. Bye Bye Baby - The way I knew I'd stan this when I saw the title... Honestly this is the opposite of Don't You - this one continuously grew on me with each listen. There's something so perfect about it, idk what it is. Again, it's the details in the melodies, production, vocals, etc! Also shout out to that epic "bye byeeeee babyyyyyyyy YEAaAhaHHH" at the final chorus, I'm OBSESSED with it... Such a perfect closer.

5. Fifteen - Oh when this chorus comes, you should HEAR me... CUZ WHEN YOU'RE FIFTEEEEEN AND SOMEB- ok lemme stop. This is one of my fave country Taylor songs, it's SO good. But surprisingly, I MAY actually prefer the original version?? Idk, it had that special something that the Taylor's Version is lacking? It's ok though it's still that bitch

4. Tell Me Why - Honestly... Shocking position? For me, yes! This song grew on me RAPIDLY with Taylor's Version. I love the sass, power and confidence, I just enjoy this song overall... And that bridge is SO GOOD, seriously, Taylor has some amazing bridges.

3. You're Not Sorry - Oh honey, this is the type of dramatic songs I LOVE... This is the song I play when someone fucks me up hardcore. This is the song I go to when a bitch is hurt. I love this one, it holds a special place in my heart.

2. The Way I Loved You - This song is so flawless. Perfect melodies, instrumentals, details etc... Fun fact, I remember hearing this song fully for the first time, and I realised I had heard of that first verse before, and I realised it was from one of the 2009-2010 youtube videos of tutorials on how to draw total drama style 馃拃 Such good times.

1. Forever & Always - Probably one of my favourite Taylor non-singles in general... Another epic epic bridge too (and post-chorus!!). She really clocked Joe Jonas huh? Also the new piano version is actually cool/interesting/better than the original piano version!
