High School Musical 2 plot summary:

It's summer break and the kids of East High are out for some fun in the sun. Unfortunately, they are all broke and must get jobs in order to be able to afford to enjoy themselves. Troy thinks his problem is solved when he gets a job at Sharpay's family resort, but doesn't realise she has an ulterior motive for hiring him. Luckily, some of his fellow Wildcats have jobs there too.

Calvin is a likeable, bright 13-year-old who has almost everything he could want in life - except a prized rare copy of a comic he collects. When he hears about a dog show with a $5,000 prize, he decides to get a dog and enter, to win the money and buy the comic. However, he doesn't bargain for the fact that he comes to love Tyco, the accident prone, lovable mutt he rescues from the pound.
My opinion:
After HSM brought a new age of DCOM, we all thought they couldn't pull off a HSM2, but boy were we wrong. HSM came back harder than ever and almost every single one of the songs slapped. HSM2 brought us an edgy song like Bet On It, while Troy prances intensely through the golf course...not caring about most likely pissing off every old, pretentious, rich, white guy trying to golf. It also brought us the strong ballad Gotta Go My Own Way, inspirational bop, Everyday, and lastly, the song that made sports and gays come as one, when Ryan and Chad battle it out in a dance off on the baseball diamond!
Life is Ruff started off kinda slow as we watch Kyle Massey essentially get mad at a rescued dog, when it doesn't do the tricks he wants it to do so he can win the cash prize so that he can buy his comic...but they redeem it at the end, when they have him actually fall in love with the dog that he rescued.
High School Musical (1) beat Smart House (32) by a vote of 8-4
Kim Possible: So the Drama (16) beat The Luck of the Irish (17) by a vote of 8-4
Eddie's Million Dollar Cook Off (25) upset Brink! (8) by a vote of 7-2
